We have family in the area so ordered a takeaway from Saras. The order was ready on time however when we returned home we found that none of the containers of food were labelled so we had to guess the contents! This was made harder as the curries all looked and tasted very similar. My wife and I chose wrongly so we had each other's curry! The curries had good heat and were fine, however we were not convinced that the food reflected the descriptions on the menu. The dips were unusually runny and not up the standard of poppadoms & chutneys in Northern England (where we come from). Overall our takeaway experience at Saras was disappointing and we wouldn't consider ordering from there again!

Went to Sara's for the first time yesterday on a recommendation and we were thoroughly impressed. Sara is delightful and patiently helped us to order dishes that would suit our various tastes. The menu has many dishes that are not served in a typical indian restaurant. The food was tasty, full of flavour, the meat was tender and the portions generous. Prices very reasonable, Happy to return and recommend.

I absolutely love all of the food here. I have tried quite a few different dishes as I often order this as a takeaway with a group of friends and also like to eat in. I’m vegetarian and there is a good selection of dishes. The food has always been delicious. It’s fresh and not heavy or greasy. I would highly recommend it. Sara is lovely and her son is very pleasant too.

We visited last week and had one of the best steamed chicken momos. I have lived in Nepal and know a bit about momos. we also tried chilly fried chicken momos-they are not on the menu but if you tell the owner/lady she will get it done. absolutely delicious food and excellent service. Highly recommend if you want to eat authentic nepali food.

Love their paneer butter masala and the chilli - garlic mogo. The owner is very friendly and helpful.

I haven't been to London in over two years due to Covid and I've craved the dry chilli lamb! Visited fairly late on Thursday night, there were a few tables still dining - mostly Asian, which is always a good sign in a curry house. The food here is amazing, from the dry chilli lamb (of course!), to the rice, really thin garlic naan and even the sides. I miss Saras. My local now has won numerous accolades for best in Ireland etc. but it's not a patch on Saras. Keep doing what you are doing, I can't wait for my next visit.

Indians visit it for authentic taste. The didi, Saras, runs the restaurant tightly and serves one of the best Indian cuisine in Harrow

The food is fantastic. The dishes are always consistent. Been here countless times with friends / family. Saras (the Owner) is always pleasant and happy to see us. The prices are very fair and the food always comes out in a timely manner. This is easily one of my favourite restaurants.

Have been here 4 times 1st time perfect 2nd time korma was thick, pale and tasted of flour. Decided to give another go was nice but not as nice as first time. 4th time korma slightly tasted of flour but what really got me was the strong perfume/aftershave taste. What a waste of money will NOT be ordering again

Since I moved to London from India, I was missing the Indian good. I tried with many Indian restaurants near by, but was not getting that "X-factor". Then I tried the food from Saras. Believe me, I was amazed to taste their food. They have a huge range of mouth watering Indian dishes. The most impressive thing is over time, their taste quality has been the same. This reminds me the food back in India. I have ordered food over phone as well as online. Its easy to order and I always get my hot food before time. Although the time passed, their food taste and friendly customer service has not. I just love Saras and wish they continue feeding people like me. Thanks.

I used to come to this place while it was KK, and now this is my second visit which is so good, nice to meet owner Saraswati Didi, she is so much of customer care and her nice hospitality impress me. I order my food with her and explain what I like wow what a original taste I got, thanks to all team at Saras. Definately I will be back.

Our usual Indian place was closed so we decided to explore the Harrow area. It is safe to say we will never go back to our first Indian restaurant. Sara's restaurant and bar was the most delicious Indian food we've ever had. Not oily at all so doesn't leave you feeling sick. Sara herself was very welcoming and her smile really made you feel at home. Cosy, delicious and well priced. I cannot fault the place at all.

Such a nice time I had with the friends, good venue to enjoy a small group of friends, very nice looked after and so good food, I would recomend to visit and enjoy the food.

Nothing too special, service was the saving grace but other than this, the food was forgettable and at times, felt it was better to just leave the dish than eat it so food didn't get wasted. I didn't like the curries so to me the meal slowly went downhill - the starters were not too bad (bhajia is a safe option). I don't see myself recommending this or going back again - there is also too much competition in the local area for this restaurant.

The pints are very watered down and the food is very overpriced. The service is good and I guess that makes up for the watered down pints and overpriced food.

Visited Saras for the first time last night and I was delighted with the quality of the food that I had. I met the entire team from the Manager to the chef's and they were all very friendly and welcoming.

We visited for the first time on a Saturday night, the service was a little slow, however it was busy. Great selection of beers, the food was incredible. There's not that many decent Indians around this area now, I will 100% be returning. Thank you very much.

After a good first time experience I came for the second time on Sunday with my mum, dad, brother and sister in law to celebrate my mum's birthday and my parents' anniversary. The food was exquisite and the service provided by Saras (owner) herself is second to none, she is a great host. If you love a cocktail, get the passion fruit cranberry mojito but ask for it with archers. Lamb momos is always a must! The spinach chicken curry was my favourite main dish too.

This was my second time at this restaurant and this time I came with my mum, dad, brother and wife to celebrate my mum's birthday and my mum and dad's anniversary. Yet again we were not disappointed. The owner welcomed us when we walked in. We tried some new drinks this time which was passion fruit juice with cranberry with archers. Very tasty. We ordered veg and non veg starters and mains which was very tasty. We had the ferrero Roche and Matki kulfi for dessert which was very nice. The owner looked after us very well throughout the time we was there and made us feel like family. The other staff member she had working with her was also very nice. I would definitely be making a third visit here and my family said the same. As this is also local to us we will definitely be ordering takeaways from here too. Had a dinner at this restaurant last night with family. Food is nicely cooked and very tasty. Service is also good. Must visit there if you are looking for a good Indian food.

Went to this restaurant with my cousins. Got a nice welcome and great table. We ordered about 10 starters and 5 mains and each dish was tasty and delicious. The service was spot on. I highly recommend this place to anyone and will definitely be coming back.

We have been going to Saras for many years now, and the food never disappoints us. The chilli paneer and mogo are our all time favourites and the biriyani, accompanied with the saag dal, is the best we have ever had. The staff are wonderful and very attentive, the food is delicious and very generous portions and one of the best things about going there is the warm welcome we get from the owner.

We 3 persons went to this restaurant for a dinner. We ordered garlic nan ,mix grill and momo as starter and chicken tikka masala and palak paneer as main dish. all was delicious. Enjoyed the evening a lot. Going back soon.

Good food when it finally arrived, staff seem a bit disorganised but polite. The TV is too loud and tables are cramped together. The tips are not given to staff which is outrageous so make a point to management if you do go there.

I went to Saras, last week with friends to have a dinner. One of my close mate recommended this restaurant. We tried lots of dish. My favourite was Desi Lamb Masala. All of my friends enjoyed the food & the hospitality. It was such a wonderful experience. I would like to visit this place again when I go to North Harrow & highly recommend this place to all.

We had the lamb momo: truly yummy, and very akin to my partner's native Chinese food. The potato tak tak was also delicious - but £5.45 for potato and spice; be serious!

I just ordered Lasooni King Prawns from them and they just sent me 4 prawns for £15 and that's it - for this amount, you'd normally get about 8 prawns and then I call the restaurant to complain - they didn't have the courtesy to say sorry - I am not at all happy customer thank you

Was in North Harrow last Sunday looking for a place to stop quickly and eat. Saras was open and from we entered we were greeted so warmly we decided to stay and have a meal. We had a lovely chat with our hostess, and we believe, the owner. Talking about the items on the menu - a nice mix of Indian and Indo Chinese food, how business is going for them, etc. It was nice to be able to interact and have a laugh. For starters I had Aloo Papri Chaat and my b/friend had Jeera Chicken Tikka. Luvd it! The food tasted fresh and was fantastically seasoned. There was a bit too much Chaat for me, so I couldn't eat it all. Unfortunately we had another appointment, so could not stay to enjoy our mains there, but she offered to put it all in doggy bags and we had it later at home. I had Lamb Rogan Josh and Pelau rice, bf had Chicken Cholila, which he could not stop raving about. My Rogan Josh was delicious too; the lamb was so succulent, tasty and soft.

We went as a couple and ordered several Vegetarian starters. The food came promptly and everything tasted great. We were too full for mains. So we'll have to return to try that.

Generally very good North Indian, Nepalese cuisine. In my opinion this is much better than Bangladeshi style food. Good service which sometimes is slow. But food makes up for it. Should offer more live music nights.

On entering the restaurant, you may want to walk out! The bar is located at the front of the building where you find lots of men being loud and rude. The language that was coming out of there mouth was disgusting, it is a shame that the staff do not tell them to be quiet. We were asked were we wanted to be seated, luckily for us they have tables located at the rear as far away from these people. The venue is bright and nicely decorated. Drinks were offered, however the Guinness is served from a can, so ignore the Guinness font on the bar.

We went there as we did not want to travel however I must say that was the best decision of that evening. The service was great. The waitress were really courteous and pleasant. The food quality and quantity was great. We loved the place and I would recommend it. We only tried veggie option and they were good.

Saras is under management since last November. We only discovered this on Saturday. It was a very pleasant experience, good food, polite service, not overcrowded and best of all good authentic Indian food. We only tried the meat options and if anything to go by I am assuming the veggie options will be equally good.

We went here one Friday by accident, it's very basic but the food was fantastic and the price was very reasonable. I have been back 4 more times since and have never been disappointed.

Went there as a family of 10 people and have been here previously under different names.

Visited Saras and am confused, was it a bar, bistro, canteen or a restaurant? It is kitted out like a canteen, no soft furnishings or decor. So voices resonate and it is not pleasant to sit in. Floor is slippery and one of our party actually slipped and fell. Owner / manager put it down to raining outside. Service was rather poor right from onset and got no better as evening progressed. Waitress was totally inflexible regarding modifying mixed platters. Food was very mediocre. Masala bhindi had more masala than bhindi (which was almost uncooked anyway). Kohlapuri vegetables were mainly allu (potatoes) with far too much chillies. This dish was left more or less uneaten. Red wine was served at wrong temperature (on the warmer side). Nans were good but tandoori roti was not made from wholemeal flour. It will have to improve and change a lot to persuade me to visit again.

We called in Saras for a meal while staying in North Harrow a few days.

Had the privilege of visiting Saras Restaurant & Bar after almost six months during my recent visit to UK. The food tasted just amazing and the hospitality was good. Specially met its chef and thanked him making such a wonderful Indian food. I really loved Chicken Tikka Masala & Paneer Butter Masala.

Wondered in her on Sunday & because Im not a regular to Indian cusine I asked the waitress to recommed something for me so I got the Tikka Masala with egg fried rice. It was absoutely delicous. Chicken was really tender & the sauce was a little spicey but extreamly tasty. The egg fried rice was great too. By far the Nicest food I have got in a long time. I will definately return the next time I am in that area.

This was the best Indian food I think I have ever eaten and believe me I have eaten a lot! It was absolutely delicious, served hot, tasty and with the perfect spice. The restaurant was spotlessly clean and the service impeccable. I can't express how absolutely fantastic this restaurant is. A MUST!!!

Visited on Saturday evening with group of six. Restaurant was already full but got the seats waiting a while. The waiters was smiley and very friendly and food was super. Will dinning again. Highly recommend ......

We were there with our family and some friends to celebrate 13th Birthday of my loving Son..were greeted promptly by a smiling and very courteous waitress in uniform who guided and seated us....very smart and quick service with smile accompanied by proper authentic Indian and Chinese food ...lovely good looking restaurant became vibrant with nice and skilful staff....you made our evening ...thank you very much to make us feel at home but everyone fully throughly enjoyed....recommend to all friends and family members ..Supper
