Love this place and always call in weekly for a coffee

What a fantastic place, great food, great coffee and wonderful, friendly, service. I knocked over my coffee and the mess was immediately and cheerfully dealt with and the coffee replaced at no charge. This is beyond good service.

Very friendly, brilliant coffee and really really reasonable prices I would recommend it as I will go there again and again

A sandwich, a pannini and a delicious soup was our choice of fayre. Friendly helpful people delivering generously proportioned tasty food to your table is part of the perfection on a chilled winter's day. No wonder this place has stood the test of time

Busted for brunch with the wife, looked at reviews which all seemed good and was not disappointed. Clean, friendly staff and above all lovely food. Great place to stop for breakfast or lunch and can see why the other reviews were all so good. Would visit again for sure if in the area, pretty town centre with some interesting architecture .

Very friendly & relaxed vibe, food is tasty and atmosphere welcoming. Its not supposed to be an upmarket sanitised souless reasturant, its got so much character that you rarely find these days in a world of Starbucks, Nero's and Costsa's. Highly recommended and looking forward to a return visit.

Good food at good prices, great value for money. My son likes the coffee & walnut cake, large slice! Staff are attentive but not fussy creating very good service and ambience.

First time visiting and wasn't disappointed! Cup of tea was significantly cheaper than the other places in the town and tasted much better! Staff were helpful and polite from the moment I walked in.

I stopped in at Sarah-jayne's Cafe for a takeaway coffee and had a quick look around. Staff are friendly, clean establishment, cozy atmosphere. Honestly would have stayed for food if I wasn't waiting for a bus. It is also close to the bus station which is convenient.

So disappointing to see this independent café plastered with political flyers today. I've occasionally popped in for a bite and drink when in town but was made to feel quite unwelcome by these posters promoting a government which has ruined the country over the last 14 years. I imagine I'm not the only customer they have lost by doing this.

Didn't seem many independent cafes here so glad we found this one as the food and staff were really good. My husband had omelette and chips which he said was "the best omelette". I had the goats cheese salad which was very good. The portions are huge so make sure you're hungry.

Nice cafe but unfortunately won't be returning due to Conservative election posters plastered in the windows

I had a coconut pineapple smoothie and a carrot cake and seriously, they were both superb. The cake was absolutely delicious with gorgeous thick frosting, really excellent quality, thoroughly enjoyed it.

Soggy toast and under cooked poached eggs. Bacon was like leather

Great cafe, staff were really friendly and engaging. Plus very helpful when I arrived with my cheeky toddler in his huge pushchair. We had a lovely fresh lunch with drinks all reasonably priced. We also tool away two huge slabs of cake for later. The cafe was nice and clean and airy. I had to use the changing facilities for my son and they were very clean. We are very glad we found the cafe today and will definitely return.

Top notch service, friendly staff, great price, good temperature inside, full cafe still fast service, nice food, clean tables, cup was dirty, hot chocolate 10/10, clean toilets, not too loud.

We had our second visit to Sarah Jayne’s yesterday and found the food was great, and at reasonable prices. Tasty paninis and really good chips. Service was pretty quick and the staff were friendly. Definitely will be going again!

SJ is a great cafe, the breakfast was very filling and the hot drinks were delicious. We will definitely come back for different items in the near future

This was my first Christmas dinner of 2023. Good food, great friendly service and a relaxing very presentable service.

We were visiting Wiltshire and had gone to Lacock to see the Abbey in the morning. Had thought that there was need to book a table for lunch for two on a November Tuesday. We were wrong, everywhere was full. Got the bus back to Chippenham and found this cafe at 2:15. Order scampi, chips, peas and salad twice. All lovely and fresh. Then, they let us stay and have a coffee after our meal, whilst they cleared up, as they close up at three and due to medical issues my partner is a very slow eater. Thank you very much.

I've been going to Sarah-Jayne's since they opened and it's been a consistently excellent cafe. The staff are always friendly and the service is impeccable, as are the drinks and food.

Well……what a fantastic lunch we had today. The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful ( even when I asked for goat milk rather than oat milk!!) . Fab warm goats cheese and bacon salad along with a very generous baguette and butter. Lovely coffee too. Thank you guys, we will be back!

Never been here before. First cafe I saw, came in for breakfast. Had a lovely bacon and egg breakfast roll, it was lovely, eggs nice and runny, white roll lovely and soft. Really nice coffee. Service is lovely. A nice place to sit and watch the world go by.

Visit this place regularly as I like to support a local business. Visited today but unable to get a table as most were reserved. There is no mention that you can book and I never knew you could. I don't have set lunch breaks so will be difficult for me to visit. My advice if you're going here is you have to book. This should just be a call in cafe not something you have to plan ahead.

Sarah Jaynes cafe has a great location in the marketplace; the perfect spot to watch the world go by. There is ample seating outside or in the window seats. We received a warm welcome and excellent service from all staff. The menu was generous and I especially liked that there was no time limit to breakfasts. Including a tea or an americano in the full breakfast is great (why more cafes don’t do this I don’t know, other than chasing profit) and I felt overall the cafe was very good value. We couldn’t fit in anything else to eat, but Geoff assured us the brownies were the best he’d ever tasted, so I will plan a return soon to test that out!

Popped in for a coffee, we were so impressed by the welcome and the general ambience we decided to go back for lunch. Again the welcome was warm and friendly and the food was absolutely delicious. So much nicer than one of the big chain cafes. Will definitely return.

Their tomato soup is amazing, the burger is juicy, i should come back for the soup!

We had a tasty and well-presented lunch here and were not rushed even though it was close to closing time and most customers had left by the time we were ordering coffee.

Proper English food at sensible prices.

First time here with a large group despite a push back from some one who had been here before, overall we enjoyed the great breakfast the omelette was very tasty and a great portion, large pot of tea, staff was nice and friendly. Overall everyone enjoyed their meals, most importantly I thought the price was reasonable. I might like to add we ended up here as a competitor up the road never opened on time but we will certainly come back for a team breakfast.

The best carrot cake I've ever tasted . Nice portion size and a lovely smilely gentleman to greet you as you go into the cafe . Absolutely lovely will be visiting again next time in Chippenham. Great cake and great service.

Food taste great and staff are very friendly . Would definitely recommend . Our two year old granddaughter loves this cafe too . Especially the baby cappuccino and the kids lunch box . The all day breakfast is great value too . See you all next week ❤️

Breakfast came put cold. They redid it but got the order wrong and an overdone fried egg. Staff unprofessional, scruffy and sloppy.

Really very good. It said homemade Lasagne and it was just like I had made it . The garlic bread was good and nice salad and chips. It was clean and the staff were helpful and friendly. Will definitely go there again.

Lived in Chippenham for 12 years but never been in here - not sure why I hadn’t but definitely will be back, lovely friendly service, good food & the Victoria Sponge was just begging to be eaten.

Lovely family run cafe providing lovely fresh cooked food. The salads and paninis are wonderful. Dog, family and children friendly.

Lovely and cosy. Been here a few times and now feel I can leave a review. Had mainly coffee and an assortment of breakfast foods. The fry ups are tasty and the quality of the food is high. Sausages thick and tasty , proper bacon ,bread ect . Breakfast roll again is divine, Comfy seating. The small fry up is a bargain at £6.95 and comes with a coffee, now that's a brilliant price. Will come here from now on as the food and service are brilliant. Update ....... staff are lovely. Very nice and friendly. Smiles all-around..

We spotted this cafe as we strolled up the hill and me being on crutches was getting a bit tired, we had met up with my son who is in the army and his family for the last time before going overseas. The tearoom was quite full but a staff member said there was some setttees at the back if that was ok for us. we only wanted drinks but id promised my grandaughter a ice cream and they did a mixture for her..A really helpful place where all the staff were very friendly

Stopped here for some lunch on the way to Bristol from Southampton - what a find - you lucky people of Chippenham. Please just keep doing what you are doing - great atmosphere, brilliant staff and exceptional food which is value for money. If we ever pass this way again we will look forward to seeing you again.

Food and coffee nice and makes a welcome change from the chain coffee shops in town.However, closed on Sundays and Mondays? Obviously they didn’t suffer much financially during lockdown

They do the best carrot cake! But also good if you happen to like less carbs as they are very willing to cater for high protein all day breakfast.

Visited here for lunch yesterday. There is a wide range of food on the menu, and the things I could see being served up around me all looked terrific. I ordered a bacon sandwich. This can sometimes be disappointing but here they get everything right - good quality white bread, thick cut properly grilled salty bacon, and some proper Daddies brown sauce, none of your anonymous stuff out of a brown squeezy bottle. Just delicious. Also the waiter/cashier who served us was funny and personable and made us feel very welcome. Just a lovely cafe. Next time I am in Chippenham I will be here like a shot.

I often use this cafe as it is local to me and independently run. Lovely cafe with good food and very friendly staff. I have never had poor food from here whether it be a sandwich or cake and their prices are very reasonable.

Stopped by to celebrate my Dad’s birthday with some hot chocolate & homemade cake. Staff very friendly & the cake was excellent. We will definitely visit again.
