Sarah-Jane’s Tearooms and Coffee Lounge in Doncaster

We’ve been to Sarah-Jane’s tea rooms in Dunsville today, for coffee and cake. We sampled the Victoria sponge and the lemon drizzle cake and both were gorgeous - light, full of flavour and delicious!! If you’ve not been to Sarah-jane’s tearooms and Coffee lounge, you are missing a treat !! They serve breakfasts, elevens, light lunches, cakes and drinks, and pre booked afternoon tea too!

Very clean. Old fashioned large teapots with China cups makes nice tea. Excellent service and good food. Box given if you can't eat All the lovely cakes

We’ve been to Sarah-jane’s tearooms and Coffee lounge for lunch. We chose jacket potatoes with cheese, and with prawns, and I had a cheese and ham panini . Sarah-Jane’s is famous for its cakes - we picked Victoria sponge with pouring cream, warm coconut tart with custard, and carrot cake! Lovely!!! We had several cups of tea with our meal, and coffee afterwards . The bill was around £17.50 per person - really good value for excellent food!!!

Went for afternoon tea for my birthday, the food was all delicious and the amount of cakes you got was amazing. Service was also excellent. Would highly recommend this place, we will back soon.

Sarah-Jane’s Tearoom is a great place for a light lunch, afternoon tea, or just coffee and a sweet treat. We often call here for dessert after lunch if we are in the area. Today we enjoyed Twix cheesecake, Twix chocolate brownie and date and walnut scones, with a cup of tea or coffee. They were all excellent!! Most of the sweet treats are homemade and are all yummy. Portions are very generous too.

Have just returned from having afternoon tea. This was bought as a birthday present. Omg is all I can say. I have never been for afternoon tea and had the amount of food and cakes that we received. From entering to leaving the staff were very friendly and attentive. The food was amazing, prawn cocktail, sandwiches, quiche and savoury cheese scone. Followed by trifle, numerous cakes and fruit and plain scones with clotted cream and jam. Thank you so much for a lovely afternoon. Can’t recommend you enough and we’ll definitely be back. Thank you.

Heard from friends this is a good place for a bite. Too true! Clean tidy delightfully furnished and the staff are great. If you're going for lunch don't have breakfast. Proper Yorkshire portions are the norm here. All the meals were well presented and extremely palatable. In fact the ladies struggled to finish them but won through. We'll be back soon. Thanx

We visited Sarah-Jane’s Tearooms for coffee and cake this week. It was our first visit and we loved everything! There was a great selection of light lunches, cakes and scones. The afternoon tea looked amazing but unfortunately we didn’t have room for that. We chose three different types of scones, and a slice of walnut and coffee cake, together with tea and coffee. Serving sizes were very generous, and everything was delicious. We loved the pretty decor, the attractive china tea sets and the attentive staff!! Altogether a lovely afternoon treat!!

We attended at Sara Janes tearooms as we were bought a voucher from Christmas. We as a family of four booked for an afternoon tea. First impressions were great, clean fresh and lovely to see linen table cloths. The tea tray was packed with beautiful savoury choices and baked products. Also there was a prawn cocktail and trifle. All the food was fresh, tasty and filling, very filling. So much so we left with two boxes of cakes we couldn’t eat. Staff were friendly, everything was such a pleasant experience. Highly recommended

Called here today with my big Sis. It wasn't planned but we were in the area. Really glad we stopped by. I thoroughly enjoyed the home-made vegetable soup whilst my sister tucked into home-made warm quiche, salad, coleslaw and new potatoes with lashings of butter. Everything was so fresh and so flavoursome. We'd certainly recommend and we'll definitely return to sample more home-cooked delights

Very friendly and relaxed atmosphere , nothing was too much trouble and nothing rushed . The food was very good and presented well . I can recommend their homemade quiche , very nice and their homemade date and walnut scones , warmed and lashings of butter , it was delicious. The prices are very reasonable , would I recommend this place to friends ? Most definitely. Will I be returning ? Most definitely.

First time we have visited Sarah Jayne's but certainly won't be the last. The food was fresh, tasty, beautifully presented & plentiful. The service & value for money was exceptional. We would highly recommended & look forward to returning.

I love the hot chocolate & lattes & the choice of cakes & cup cakes which are all delicious. Lovely staff & nice atmosphere when open.

Outstanding food and service! Every time we visit the food is always absolutely beautiful and the service is amazing! The afternoon tea is truly exceptional- by far the best I have ever had! Today we counted 14 different elements to it including a selection of sandwiches, a cheese scone, sausage roll, mini quiche, crisps, mini prawn cocktail, 5 cupcakes/ pastries, 2 sweet scones and a trifle!!! This was per person!!! Absolutely incredible!!!

We visited this tearoom just as the lock down commenced, so we didn't manage to try anything, so we have waited a long time and it was well worth the wait, we had breakfast and I would call it a belly buster, more than enough,

Good value for money more cakes than most of us could eat but cake boxes provided free of charge 🤗 lovely atmosphere we had a great family get together and would definitely recommend sarah-janes for afternoon tea

Visited over saturday lunch for afternoon tea with friends... a couple had meals....The afternoon teas were plentiful n very nice and an endless supply of tea... the meals looked delicious...(that's for my next visit!)Staff accommodating and friendly and we were not rushed, we were there all afternoon... great place to go for lunch...the cakes n quiches all home made... not to be missed x

Fabulous everything was very tasty fresh and presented really well!!! Afternoon tea was extremly good value for money. Included sandwiches quich salad prawn cocktail etc. Cakes scones were more yham plentyful. Great

What a find!Huge pot of tea with beautiful coconut and chocolate delicacy. Homemade Quiche Lorraine; toasted ham and cheese sandwich all served with salad and coleslaw; delightful gateaux and cappuccino to finish. Tea, food and coffee all tasted great. Such friendly and accommodating staff. Absolutely wonderful and must be visited.

Have been here a few times and each visit has been excellent. I treated my friend to this little gem of a place. Impressed is an understatement. She loved the tea, served in a lovely teapot with china cups. (Tea always tastes better in a china cup) We had prawn sandwiches and what a portion size, well presented. On looking at it we knew it was going to suit our pallets. We both thoroughly enjoyed it. The atmosphere, decor and service all wonderful. No wonder I keep returning, their standards are high. Highly recommended.

The whole experience was superb, fantastic food of excellent quality,pleasent staff, better than the best of afternoon teas, an absolute must to visit and partake.

Our second visit and the food was great again. I meant to take photos of the food but it looked so delicious we gobbled it up as soon as it arrived!!Between the 6 of us we had:Bacon sandwichHomemade soupQuiche and saladJacket potatoesPaniniHot chocChoc milkshake CoffeeTeaWe were so full we had to take our cake home - lovely lemon cake and delicious chocolate cake with golden eggs on top - both clearly homemade, very tasty and very moist Great service - everything is homemade and great quality too.

An informal treat for myself and a friend and it was well worth the visit. We went midweek for 12.30 lunch. We had booked but there was plenty of spare tables at that time. I'm sure that they have really busy times though as the food is so delicious and it's a lovely treat to go there. Home baking and the cakes and pastries looked wonderful. We both had sandwiches but you need a good appetite to finish off the plate of goodies that are served up ! Lovely decor, crisp white tablecloths and very pretty china to enhance the meal. We noticed on the menu that an afternoon can be served and the contents sounded very yummy. Friendly staff and prompt service. Will return at a later date for sure.

Beautiful food, amazing cakes and friendly service. Lovely tearoom, clean and bright. We were a fussy bunch but nothing was too much trouble. Huge salads and scones all freshly made with a really large range on the menu for sandwiches, salads, breakfasts etc. Will certainly be a regular visit when I am up to visit family highly recommend, thank you.

The food was lovely. We had afternoon tea and the plates were full of different goodies. Savoury and sweet. Saw other food being served which looked delicious and the plates were full. Definately recomend

Wow for starters lovely little place lovely people but afternoon tea amazing so much bet no one ever eats all so they supply boxes .very quaint ,beautifully clean .i would recommend any to visit well done

Passed this tearoom whilst out and decided to try it out. My mum is disabled and on oxygen. I parked down the road as parking was limited and went to ask about access. The staff were lovely and let me park on the front behind another parked car making it easy for my mum to get in. We used her Zimmer frame and she walked the short distance into the back of the tearoom The staff were friendly and helpful making sure we were ok. We ordered a ham salad and a panini with a pot of tea for 2. It arrived in a short while and it was excellent. We also had cake. The toilet is more than adequate and was very clean and a pleasure to use. All in all. Excellent visit. Price is great too. We will be back

I am a regular visitor to Sarah-Janes. I’ve had afternoon tea which was tasty, flavoursome, plentiful and excellent value for money. I’ve also nipped in for a quick cuppa and one of Sarah-Janes speciality scones (biggest scones I’ve ever seen and a huge range from plain to walnut and date, to chocolate orange...and more) I also enjoy my lunch dates there (the homemade quiche is to die for). There are always plenty of homemade cakes to choose from all of which are delicious however I highly recommend the salted caramel cheesecake. There’s a choice of sitting in comfort in the coffee lounge or there is also a dining area with tables and chairs. A 5 star Traditional style tearooms with classy decor and fine china. Sarah-Jane and her husband are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble for them. They also offer a take out service which is great for when I can’t decide which piece of cake to have as I take a selection home with me.

First visit , really enjoyed the experience, pleasant surroundings.very nice prawn salad, and good coffee

It took a long time to change from a picture framing shop to a cafe, but finally it has opened. Parking is going to be an issue as the cafe has very limited facilities.
