Santos in Salford

Tried this place yesterday. Had not been for about 15 years. Was very crowded and had to wait outside, so they're still doing well. We thought the chicken tikka kebabs were very average indeed. Only thing that stood out was the pizza which had a really nice base. For kebabs there are way better places to go in the same area, like the excellent BBQ Village. Good overall.

I wouldn’t usually drop a review for takeaway but Santos is exceptional and deserves it. Clearly they thrive without paying to be on Just Eat and I can see why. You can call them for free delivery if you live local and meet a minimum spend of £10.50 (cash on delivery). Only minor drawback is a lack of up to date online menu but it’s not a big deal. We ordered on Sunday off a personal recommendation from a colleague who has lived in the area for years and practically lives on takeaways and she didn’t steer us wrong!My girlfriend has recently discovered chicken shawarma is to her taste and reminds her of kebabs back home (Poland) and we always take donner meat so of course ordered that, as well as kobida which I only discovered the week prior and chicken tikka to make sure we met the minimum. The donner was good quality although I regret hastily asking for a small tray rather than large (likewise shawarma). The kobida was a very generous portion, nicely spiced and juicy. The shawarma was very well spiced (without being hot) and much more flavourful than others which are more in common with standard “chicken kebab meat” I’ve ordered elsewhere. The chicken tikka was excellent, another generous portion, well cooked with that slightly charred taste and more in line with what I’d expect in an Indian restaurant than a kebab house.Very happy overall with the meaty standards and we’ve already decided to order again this weekend.... large trays!

As a man who loves food this place is amazing ❤️ and as for their staff theyve actually always been hospitable to me which is hard for a menenber or the lgbt community to find, these guys are 5*

Been coming to Santos for a long time now for food however standard have dropped massively lately. Food is lute warm and portion sizes have decreased massively over time. Time to look for a new Kebab House.

I was disappointed as the kebabs tasted average... When they used to be amazing. Must be new management took over but definitely gone down hill!

I went for number 10 on their menu which is the chicken Tikka and mutton kobida..to look at, so appetising...however the kobida was full of oil it was like a sponge..when you cut into it...it leaked oil the nan underneath becoming absolutely drenched...totally put me off my meal...won’t be rushing back

Excellent restaurant really really nice quality food highly recommend chicken sheesh kebab and the salad was fresh and good choice and very reasonable priced and very nice staff

We use to order from here every week. Last 3 times I noticed their chicken fillets in the burgers have shrunk and were too hard to bite down on. Their pizza's are definitely worth the price, they are juicy & have a lot of topping. If they 'fix' the burgers again then they are worth it too as they were delicious!!They are VERY busy so delivery can take an hour or more. Better to pick up then to have it delivered, as it can be lukewarm when it gets to u. They also do not accept card or online orders which is very disappointing. Cash only.

Ordered a spicy chicken burger x2 and requested for the burger to be cut in half when I placed the order. After the burger was prepared the guy quoted ‘only Asian people ask for this’ and was reluctant to cut the burger in half. They should of mentioned that when I placed my order, will NOT be going back.Work on your customer service skills guys,learn from successful joints like McDonald’s.

I usually order a kebab of some sort which for Cheetham Hill is one of the best places. The staff even though rarely friendly, know their work. Standard of food is excellent for a kebab shop.This drive by I thought I would get a spicy chicken burger. Usual lettuce and mayonnaise. Wow. Very good.A huge down side to this place is the parking. Not recommended at all for anyone who gets intimidated!!

Really great place to eat. Will always recommend. One of the best pizza places I’ve ate at. Will be coming back soon!

Best place on Cheetham hill. Always go there. Good customer service. They always welcome with a smile.

Santos as good food but they never bring all your order, every time I order more than 3 items they don't bring them, its frustrating when you have waited ages and then you have to start cooking, gets someone who can understand what people are saying on the phone.

Sometimes take away food can be spoiled beyond belief if not eaten immediately after cooking. Mind you what a super generous portion for a 1/2 pounder chicken burger, nicely seasoned but far too greasy for the bun it sat on to remain firm enough to hold it.

Best place to go for a kabeeda kebab u will never find a place that will beat it...... Always clean an tidy an food always well cooked

We live local to santos often order take away at least once a week. My family been eating their food as long as I can remember. Their chicken tikka is delicious. Their food is always freshly cooked to order.

Being many times the kebabs are always fantastic they are the best in Manchester will be back cheers

The food is great here, top quality but it's definitely pricey. You get what you pay for though with giant kebabs!

A friend told me about this place, said uv got to try the kobeda kebab. So I got one and into my about ninth bite a found a hair, which I took back - he turned the cabbage over and said where is hair. Never been back and a dirty area with vermin.

Quick delivery service, friendly driver and polite staff on phone. Very tasty pizzas with lots of toppings.

Tomamos una pizza grande y kebabs. Este lugar es halal. Me pareció sabroso y de calidad no es mala. La orden fue hecho en menos de 15 minutos. Encontrar Estacionamiento alrededor puede ser un desafío, pero conseguimos aparcar bien.

I have been to this takeaway twice and have been overcharged on both occasions, if customers do order please check before paying as it's a regular occurrence, no one likes to be overcharged or short changed.

This is a fantastic kebab house everything is fresh kebabs are cooked in a clay oven which gives an amazing flavour to the kobeda, I can highly recommend the chicken tikka and kobeda mix I travel from bury for one of these it's that good

O kebab é feito na sua frente, o que é uma vantagem. É bom pedir para levar para viagem, pois é muito grande e, por isso, não é tão fácil de comer. Bom tempero no de frango. Aceita cartões de crédito.

Santos kebabs are amazing cooked in front of you and it's all fresh I've eaten here for 10 years or so and never once not liked it all my family love it two defiantly buy one!.

Best kebabs in Manchester hands down.Not the cheapest but it is worth every penny. Only thing I dont like is the the fact some of the staff dont speak in English around customers, it is only a small thing but still.

I am a regular visitor to this takeaway. Their kebabs and pizzas are by far the best in the area. It is always busy and you can expect to wait a while to be served but it is always worth the wait.

Got recommended by my Freind went there tried the food ordered a chicken sandwich meal it wasn't nice once I took the second bite of the chicken sandwich a big bone come out of the so called boneless chicken breast the big bone was in my mouth I nearly broke my tooth and the chips they was like a stick that has been cooked for a week the only thing I thing I have enjoyed from there was the can of diet coke I would never ever ever go back there again and I would not recommend them either stay away !!!!!!!!!!!!?

I have a takeaway here every Saturday night as it serves the best fast food in all of manchester I usually get the kobeda but I love the chicken shawarma and lamb on chips thank you very much guys
