I always use Santa Marina if I fancy an Italian meal. It is always pipping hot and tasty and delivered very quickly with a smile.

Me encanta pedir mi pasta de Santa Marina junto con un delicioso pan de ají y ajo siempre bien preparado y bien caliente. Mi ir al italiano para llevar.

La comida estuvo genial. El servicio fue de primera clase. La comida se cocinaba a la perfección, pero tardó bastante tiempo en servirse. Los chefs no parecen ser realmente italianos, pero fingen serlo. En general, es un buen lugar, pero hay que ser sincero y decir que hay un retraso con la comida y dejar de usar falsos accidentes italianos.

Consistentemente buena comida de aquí. Tuvimos un risotto por primera vez desde aquí y estaba delicioso con la cantidad justa de crujiente para el arroz. Buena pizza y pan de ajo. Seguiré ordenando de esta comida para llevar.

Buena comida, aunque los chefs son falsos italianos! No te dejes engañar por la sensación de "auténtico italiano", ya que son de Sheffield.

It took an hour for my food to be delivered and all I ordered was one pizza, so I would not recommend that anyone goes here unless you have a lot of time on your hands

Called in with 2 friends about 8pm. I ordered a Risotto with a Garlic and chilli bread. 1 friend had the Arribiatta and the other chose a Pancetta. We didn't have to wait to long for our meals to be cooked and in the mean time we chatted to the staff and owner who were all very friendly. Our meals were perfect, hot and tasty and thoroughly enjoyed. One of my friends had never eaten from here before and she was very impressed. Would highly recommend popping in for a visit if you have never tried before. You won't be disappointed.

In my opinion this is by far the best takeaway in Barrow, the only negative being the difficulty you have getting through on the phone when you try to order around 17.30hrs, due to how bust they are. Great Italian food provided by the staff and very good value for money

Absolutely divine Italian food. Utterly delicious and faultless. The pastas are incredible. Would advise going in the shop, ordering and waiting as placing an order over the phone for delivery means you will wait a long time!

Lovely Takeaway when they answer...Expect a delay Its difficult to get in touch via phone, go in the shop and you could be told it will be 2hours to wait for takeaway. There is no facility to eat in but if you can get in touch then its worth ordering.

I only tried santa marina late 2016 and now i love it! Italian food is my favourite. Always busy and does have the phone off the hook at busy periods-that is the only downfall. Food is excellent

Despite being a take away, this place easily surpasses what's on offer from the Italian restaurants in Barrow. Consistently great food!

I regularly eat here and Anton Vacca has to be the best chef by far, the way he makes pizzas is nothing short of a mirracle.

This is the best take away place in town. The food is authentically Italian, made from scratch and tastes amazing! I highly recommend the Spaghetti Ortolana- a rich tomato sauce with aubergines and onions.

They take the phone off the hook at opening times so possibly a very nice take away but I wouldn't know. When I went in for a menu they looked at me like I was something they had just stepped in. Lost my custom before they even got it

tip: order to collect or go in and wait. you can receive your meal in 10/15minutes if you're waiting in there or go to collect. whereas, i've waited over an hour [after being told 45minutes] for my food to be delivered. fantastic portion sizes, great value for money and the food is delicious

Really fancied an Italian and decided to try this takeaway, it was ok for a takeaway nothing special.

Staff were nice a friendly. Food was delicious and there was plenty of it there was probably enough carbonara for two people. Will definitely go again

Although hard to get through the service is fast and friendly and the food is five stars. I would recommend this to anyone wanting an itlaian meal.

Ordered a pasta dish, pizza, chips and got a free garlic bread. The food all tasted home made and fresh. The pizza base was lovely and I cant wait to go back again soon. Better that the sit in restaurants round town.

Not sure if it's just bad luck or a very strange lack of staff or time or food but for the last 2 years I have attempted to get through to this place at least once a month spending up-to an hour each time getting an engaged tone. I can honestly say I've been successful twice!!!It's such a shame as the food I have managed to get had been delicious and enjoyed by the whole family! I've heard they take the phone off the hook when busy, I can't understand how they can afford to turn down custom in times like this! Surely as a business owner if you are this busy you would expand and cash in!I don't ever write bad reviews but Italian is my fav food and I often end up with some dodgy pizza! I have been exasperated by this place.Great food let down back NEVER being able to place an order.

Meal was seriously delicious! Couldn't get through on the phone so drove over that's why I've only given a 4. The garlic bread was to die for and will be going back soon.

Finally got round to having a carry out from Santa Marina and wasn't disappointed! Struggled to get through so popped over to the shop and placed an order to be delivered. This is a little gem of a carry out place. The food prepared as ordered, all fresh so can take a little longer. Highly recommended but won't order as much next time as the portions are huge!!!!

Love this place but orders take forever and they never answer the phone!their pizza is worth the wait though!

food fantastic the only reason i dont rate excellent is i find it impossible to get through on the phone to order so end up having to go for it but its worth while for italian this place beats salvos and franchescas hands down and its a takeaway

...It's alright, restaurant prices. Pizzas are a bit boring, and stingy with the sliced ham, but pastas are alright.

I really cannot believe its taken me so long to try Santa Maria!! Food was very tasty fast and the staff were very friendly this is a hidden gem and in my eyes the best take away in town a great change from the many chinese and turkish take aways.

Out of all the take outs I could choose, I would most certainly choose Santa Marina. The service is fast and the food is amazing. It's original and lovely.

Wow what can I say about this little Gem, I couldn't have been more pleasantly surprised. The staff and manager were lovely and chatty and a great happy bunch, with high speed service. The food was is freshly prepared in front of you, and the for those hungry Joe's you won't be disappointed, definitely great value for your money. As for quality, you certainly won't be getting any greasy slop at this place, just good high quality ingredients packed full of flavour to tickle your taste buds.I would definitely recommend this place for those Italian food lovers and will certainly be returning.
