Sanjha Chulha in Barking and Dagenham

I went there with a few friends last week. The service was ok. The food however was mega spicy! The menu didn't indicate the level of spiciness. We were all taken aback at how spicy the food was!

Very impressed. Food and service was excellent. We ordered the chaat and it was super fresh n delicious. The portions were very generous too. Chilli mushrooms are still making me salivate 😋 paneer saag was creamy and the paneer was lovely n soft not over done The veggie pilau rice was yummy and homemade lassi divine. Well done guys whatever you’re doing it works!!!

have dined here a few times now always good food and some of the fusion dishes i have tried are excellent

What more can you ask, The food is great very tasty , the portions are good and the value is good. I recommend this as a casual dining place , where you can go anytime . we like it .

Food was excellent. Staff were friendly and attentive. We had a lively evening there and will be back.

Booked this place for a family function. Was promised the entirety of the dancefloor. Upon arrival, half of it had been sectioned off due to the roof apparently being structurally unsafe, yet the restaurant was still open for us and other patrons. The manager demanded that we pay the second half of the payment whilst in the middle of serving dinner and actually stopped serving half way in between. I'm assuming this was because he wanted full payment even though we were not getting what we were paying for and therefore withheld the food. Food was ok though not hot. Appears that it had been cooked some time ago, left to cool and then reheated. Would not use this place again.

Probably the largest flies I've seen in my life. Tens of them just flying about. Also a smell that reminded me of an old closet mixed with some sort of chemical. Management did not look phased by any of this.

Excellent authentic Punjabi food - large portions - great service - as good as any Punjabi restaurant we have been to in the area. Well worth a visit.

Fabulous restaurant excellent service Manager Anita very soft spoken very friendly nature. I have visited a lot of time with my family and friends and always it’s an amazing experience. Would love to go again and again.

Food came late.we order fish and it was coming in a small portion,lots of time have to ask for more.food had no taste,after starter I ask to clear the table and bring clean glasses.Main meal was tasteless.for after asked carrots halva .and gave us Gulag jamun.we were 60 of us they gave us maximum 20 and all burnt.Never recommended anyone to go there

Visited with family to celebrate a special occasion.... Due to the decision of management to have a small function hall in another room it was LOUD as anything... As a restaurant we would expect a nice atmosphere however it was the total opposite.. I would have expected at least to soundproof the doors or something if they wish to have a DJ and hall hire facilities directly in a public restaurant. The service was poor.... waitress could not hear us or pop over to check if we wanted anything...(of course we wanted food) Food was ok and not too bad for a local Indian but don't expect all your cutlery and sauce's on the table...you have to psychically wave to get attention. Would recommend the food for a quick dinner but eating in I would look elsewhere if available.

Went here for a friends leaving meal , she is Indian herself and so was many other people with us , the food was really bland and had no Taste , the naan was like sand paper , food was served cold and a clump of what looked like mold was found in there mango juices , the staff laughed when we told them and didn't give an apology , I'd never set foot in there again , needs to be shutdown , tasted like food from a jar which is what everyone said

Really recommend this restaurant, food and service are first class. We will definitely be going back 😀

The Dhal is divine! Birth party last week here and this week an engagement party. I must say I liked the food better this week than last as it was slightly milder in taste and not over powered with chilli. As a pescatarian; the fish starter was nice if a little dry. For mains I just stuck to rice, dhal & salad (I tasted it the week before so knew what to expect)! 5/5 just for the dhal. I'd come back just for the dhal. The Gulab Jamun was also very nice; warm, sweet and delicious. Highly recommend as a great party venue! We were able to use the front area as a dance floor and the back for seated area and DJ. Feedback - consider creating a baby changing area in the toilets, even just a pull down tray, which is good for small spaces. So many babies this evening and nowhere to change them. Staff were excellent and very accommodating to a very large, demanding punjabi family!

I've visited here regularly as I live locally. There are no frills but the restaurant is clean and neat inside. The emphasis is just good tasting food, good portion sizes and I've not had fault with the sevice either. Good for veggies, Recommend Hara Bhara Kebab starter Saag and Paneer mains in particular and for carnivores it's all good, I like the Hariyali chicken starter and the Methi chicken Main the most.

This is a nice place for the family with friendly staff and good food. The prices also are not too bad for the quantity and their Paneer tikka is excellent.
