Was recommended to try pan from this place by a friend bought 10 pan’s was really waste of money. Worst tasted paan i have ever had. Two uncles on the counter could do with a better service.

Fantastic pan shop took me back to my childhood amazing pan just like the one in mombassa in the 60s very warm and nice owner the pan is fresh and made in front of you many flavours to choose from and packed well

Freshly made, fresh ingredients and tasting sweet paan made to go in an air conditioned store with a good sound system playing great music - anyone leaving a bad review for this place or its ambience needs to get off their high horse and enjoy the experience of the best sweet paan store in the East Midlands.

I Feel like this place needs a poster with the rules set out: 1. No chit chat and def no socialising with the Pan Gurus. 2. Figure out what you want to order, take a deep breath and order with confidence within the valid parameters of pan ingredients. Buckling under the immense pressure and stare, I stupidly messed up my poor gujarati and ordered a non-sensical "katu paan" instead of "kaaru paan". Which translated to "Sour paan" instead of "Bitter paan". The Paan Engineer looked at me initially with confusion, then disgust. It stayed at disgust for several minutes and then morphed into pure anger. I bowed my head in shame that I ruined my Paan opportunity and just left emasculated. But I learnt my lesson the hard way. Next time I'll rehearse my pan order for 11 days prior so I don't disappoint. Most of times I cowardly let met wife order due to past ordering-trauma , but she messed up her order also and fumbled. I leave it to my dad on occasion, but his fault is making jokes and chit chat . The staff pretend he does't exist thereafter. He foolishly broke Rule no.1. 3. Figure out how to order the pan with a 500 decibels of Bollywood techno music turning your brain into a betal nut. It's always techno music, because that's what the Paan wants and it enhances the flavour. This Is also designed to disorientate the customer , reduce idle chit chat (i.e. rule 1) but also a test almost. You need to order non-verbally, like just head bobs. The Paan should feel your order not hear it. 4. Don't look at the Paan being made. It makes the Paan Consultant angry and also you'll only fixate on the ungloved finger. And that's all you'll' think about when you chew it. 5. Take your paan and get out.

Best Paan in Leicester. Been going there for years...... Plenty of fresh paan varieties offered as well as other types of mukhwas, sweets and drinks. The gents who run the place are friendly and welcoming.

I like this shop, it has a totally different vibe to it. Not a paan person but most of my friends are so we go here every time we are in Leicester. The guy is not rude!!! He just has a lot of paan, etc in his mouth so you can’t really expect him to talk or smile.

One of the best Paan Shops around in Leicester and there not many that do such a wide range of paan varieties. We get good customer service when ever i visit. (I think staff work on their moods).. I'm here for the tasty paan so as long as i get that refreshing sweet heavenly taste of my paan then in not bothered about customer service (unless i was dining inside)

Worst paan shop. No customer service. Was given normal paan when asked for sweet paan. Blatantly lied that it was calcutta paan paththa. AVOID if you want a decent paan.

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!? Me and my mum went to this shop today, soon as we walked in the old man at the counter turned the music SO loud we couldn't hear each other and the bass on the song was loud and vibrating things on the shelf!? My mum then walked over to him and politely said please can you turn the music down a little bit, he totally ignored her and turned the music up ever louder!? We then asked him why you acting like this he continued to ignore us and just looked at us up and down. My mum wears a headscarf and clearly he has some sort of islamophobia! It is the most bizarre experience ever and it is sooo sad in this day and age people are still like this. I have never ever met a man who behaved this was and it is totally shocking. STEER CLEAR OF THIS PLACE

The owner or the bloke with permanent paan in his mouth is very rude and quite unprofessional in my opinion. Lacks manners and etiquettes. Best to avoid this place and search for others around the area.

When I visited this place in last week the person who serves the customer he is very annoying for me because when he make Areca, katho, white-wash(chuno) PAN(one type of food) and Normal (without Areca, katho, white-wash) PAN he did not wear any gloves and also not wash his hand before to make Normal PAN. He also clean the surface(On which he make PAN) with same cloth every time and also without any sanitiser. There is no food hygiene maintain.

Do not go here. Other places cheaper and better. Over charged my parents for 5-6 pans. Very rude the old man with thin white hair, near bald. Poor customer service. Never coming here again.

Earlier today I was refused entry purely on the basis of not having a face covering. I was wearing my face mask exemption card around my neck and presented it to the person inside the establishment, however he just laughed it off as a joke and said I wasn't allowed inside unless I was wearing one - no discussion. Could someone explain to me why he thought it was funny with inability to wear a face covering? All the actions underlined go against the Equality Act 2010. This person's action proved how inconsiderate, disrespectful and thoughtless they were and maybe they need to be re-educated on the current laws and taught how to deal with customers on the empathic basis. Please see below regarding face mask expemtion from the government website: *not being able to wear a face covering because of mental illness, or if it will cause you severe distress *to eat or drink, but only if you need to *to take medication The fact is the person behind the counter was so blahzey and rude compounded me to scribe this very negative review. If anyone is considering entering these premises, please do not take your business to those who discriminate against people with hidden disabilities. I would give this establishment - 5 starts if I could, it's truly appalling, shocking and inconceivable that people with businesses have such lack of basic understanding and are astutely ignorant to the current world situation.

Kept the shop really clean tidy all the stock is organized and following covid guidelines.

Hi, the pan was okay. However, will not be going again.the guy is very rude, when you ask questions he just stares at you.Did not really ask what we wanted eg. Toasted supari or not, just put in whatever he wanted. Didn’t talk the whole way through until we had to pay. Not helpful at all. Don’t recommend people to go here. Felt like he was doing us a favour.

Love the taste of the pan and all the other products they sell in the shop and amazing customer service would definetely recommend

Delicious Pan. There was a mistake on my order which I only realised when we got back to Birmingham. When i called them , they immediately sent a replacement by post. Very good service. I have been using these guys for about 30 years. Immaculate shop with a real India feel about it. Please open in Birmingham!

I was walking through that street and saw this paan shop and was just wondering if they had the taste like we have the paans in India but yeahhhhh, I was pleasantly surprised to first of all see a paan shop so nicely made and after tasting a few of them I almost forgot I was in Leicester! Great paans and great location. Hope they open a few more branches in and around UK.

What on earth does this old man think of himself? This evening me and my wife with 2 year old son walked in and as there were people going in and out after us, we did not close the door. I stood in the queue section and then this guy who was making his worthless Pans talked in an atrociously ugly and very derogatory tone to my wife, asking her to go back and close the door. She couldn't understand exactly what he was trying to say as this dirty approach was totally out of the blue! She thought he is saying the queue starts from the other side ! It was a naive misunderstanding but this moron owner or is brother or whatever rash servant made an ugly gesture and shouted at her to turn around and go from other side to close door !!! Are you serious ? I told him we are your customers and this is not how to talk to anyone be it customer or not. We walked out gracefully without shouting back as we were not bought up like this disrespectful shopkeeper. Please RESPECT WOMEN. PLEASE BEHAVE PROPERLY IF CUSTOMER IS COOPERATING.

A fabulous place to visit. All different varieties of mouth freshener and to our surprise Pulse Mango candy is also available. Expertise to make Pan is flawless.

we had mitha pans, some mukhvas and all the other Indian small sweets which you can normally find in India, pan pasand, mango bite, hajmola, nice collection of different mukhvas as well etc...

Totally rude. Just went there a few hours ago to ask for some leaves as a indian treatment for my nephew. I said please makesure they are bit big, was spoken to in a very rude way and then told that you'll get what you get. Then I asked for price and just said it was 10p when I went to get it from someone else down the road so he throws them down and then walks off. Don't know what this guys problem is as I never been there before. Don't go there if you want to be treated like that.

This place is great for Pan however the staff need to learn some social skills. They make the Pan in open view adding a little flare and style making the whole purchase a little entertaining. I got greeted with a hand gesture of what do you want whilst making my Pan he just nodded to the other guy to take money from me it was as though they never wanted to socialise or greet anyone just say Next Please!

We visited here as the girls were fascinated by the open making of pan. Photography is not allowed. The whole thing was a good experience and the shop also sells boxed mouth fresheners, mukhwas and various sweets, as well as drinks, chocs and cards.

My husband wanted to enjoy a pan after our meal, and this place came highly recommended. We were impressed with the skill, attention to detail and the results. Also, a great surprise - the shop has a good selection of Indian greeting cards!

This place has been my regular for almost three decades. To complete the meal after a spicy curry in any of the curry houses on Belgrave Road, a pan from Sangam is a must. Recommended any time.

Calcutti quimam pans are great. Always have a few to take away. The shop is very clean and the owners are very friendly. A bit pricy but worth paying extra.

We came here recently last Saturday 14 January and it felt a little awkward at first as I felt we were being monitored just case we took a photo or video. The sweet pan was reasonable at £1 each. Quality was also good. Parking also nearby on a side street in a pay car park £1 per hour. You can pay ringgo by mobile as well.
