Sangam in South Ribble

We have eaten at this restaurant many times, but not for many years. It was my sons choice as he had eaten here quite recently. This time it was for his birthday celebration with his friends. There were 14 of us in total. From the minute we arrived until the time we left Asad and Wazed were very attentive making sure everyone was happy at each part of the meal. I had forgotten just how good the food was. Even though we were a large party the starters were all served together and the mains were all served together. We brought our own alcohol and we were happy that they took away the empties. It was good value for money and many of the party took away doggie bags as the portions were good in size. I would recommend this restaurant for larger parties as well as for couples as it caters for all. Thank you, we will be back soon

Excellent food,as ever, the place suffered a bit after covid, but it’s now nice and fresh with the food as good as ever.Doesn’t have an alcohol license, but spar next door does fine beers

Rather disappointed. Just ordered a set meal to be delivered , which I have ordered many times, with an amendment which I have done before, to be now charged a pound extra. When I asked about the extra charge the young lady on the phone rather abruptly said it was because Sangam was under new management, it was what she had been told to do and she didn’t want to lose her job! I feel this is a sad state of affairs as, I feel a bit peeved at having to pay more for what I have ordered, the young lady’s tone was somewhat off putting (and not what she has been like in the past) and I now feel I don’t want to order from there again. It is also concerning that she feels she might lose her job bless her. It may be time to go back to Radhony? A shame as I have enjoyed the meals from Sangam so much. Thanks anyway!

Ordered the set take away menu online… Absolutely lovely food, definitely enough for 2 people with left overs for day after. Food was hot and they were happy to change the lamb to chicken Bonus of ordering on app there’s 10% off. As order was over £35 for collection got a free bottle of coke(which daughter appreciated)

I am so so sorry to write this review. I looked back at reviews and one of my review was 10/10 6 yrs ago. Yes a lot has happened and financially things have changed especially since covid. However, there is a certain standard that should remain. We rarely go out for meals and have few takeaways but if we do have a takeaway every now and again we do head to our old Sangam in Lostock hall. It used to be brilliant. Great food, a few extras and brilliant service. Tonight i had to ring and complain. The food was so so substandard, it was just awful. It was cold, tasteless and half the original serving of what the imcreased prices should or used to be. We are not ones to complain but honestly I rang them very upset at what they delivered expecting us to accept as the new norm. It was unacceptable and expensive for what little we got. I did speak to a staff member who knew my name from previous orders and explained how unhappy i was but just told they would put it to the chef. There are so many local restaurants and takeaways striving to survive. So Sangam put your orders and customers right and show them that you are still dedicated to serving the best food.

We visited Sangam tonight. There was 14 of us all together. The service was excellent with piping hot beautifully cooked food all served together. Value for money with the banquet meal is excellent. 10 of the party had never been before but we will all definatlty be back. Thank you. Great night.

Tasty food as always and plenty to fill me up, I love Indian food and Sangam never disappoint, onion bhagi, Prawn puri, chicken jalfrezi and vegetable rice, all absolutely lovely and very fulfilling. I'm very content this evening. Service is alway good and delivery well within time expectancy when ordered. Just cannot fault them, I have been using this restaurant ever since it opened and love it. Would highly recommend.

We visited the Sangam on Sunday night for my husband's birthday there were 10 of us and I'm glad to say it didn't let us down. The food and service were excellent.

Grandson and I visited last week and while I have been a few times and always enjoy the food, he was new to the place and ordered a vegetar ian option, which he thoroughly enjoyed. And being from a large city that is indeed a compliment.

Don’t let the strange location of this curry house put you off. Very nice staff, consistently good food both eat in and takeaway. One of the best Indian’s in the Preston area.

Unsure why TripAdvisor are saying this restaurant is closed until 17th November as they are very much open for business. Food is always excellent and staff very polite and accommodating to change in menu requests. Looking forward to celebrating my birthday here in the coming weeks.

last night, 25th August, I visited with my partner for his birthday with our 4 children, ages 16 10 9 3. Took a total chance with this place never been before and it was a worthy risk!! The place is upstairs above some shops, only small not loads of tables, friendly staff, comfy seats! And absolutely amazing yummy food!!!!! It was so so good!!!! Highly impressed and definitely recommend. Everything hot freshly cooked. It was busy as for us as they took part in the eat out and save thing from the government but the staff were all fast on their feet. Only thing to remember is if tou want beer or wine you have to take your own! But soft drinks are available. Free carpark after 6pm right behind.

Me and a few pals came here 10ish the other night and although it was empty we gave it a go and the food was very good and the guys working there were as well. The whole time we were there we were the only ones in there, which didn’t bother us.

Three of us dined at Sangam on Friday night. Must admit although only five minutes from Mountararat’s Mansion we had not been for a few years. Well the quality and indeed the quantity is still there and the service is second to none. The cost is certainly comparable with others in the area. Mustn’t leave it as long this time. Recommended.

we had a meal for four and it was no trouble to change curries on list for our likeing, it was a lovely meal and we were well looked after by the very friendly staff.

This is our favourite Indian restaurant. We visit once or twice a year but very often get a takeaway delivered to our door. We can honestly say we have never had a bad meal. It's always tasty and hot and when we do visit the restaurant the staff are very friendly and obliging. Would definitely recommend booking as its only very small but it's a lovely atmosphere and highly recommended.

Tucked away above an opticians shop in Lostock Hall is a gem of a restaurant. We've visited numerous times with friends and family and it's never failed to deliver. Delicious (and healthy) Indian food served with a a smile. Not sure what you want, then the helpful staff will advise according to your tastes.

Reviewed in 2013 as a regular visitor for eat-in and takeaway. The standards have notably dropped. I select the chicken tikka shaslick and for the past year it has been terrible. The sauce, sides have all been the same but the chicken tikka has been tough on numerous occasions now. Not sure if it is frozen and reheated but it's definitely not tender. Very disappointed and won't be going again.

Is the Sangam under new management ?

Had the Sunday buffet menu, great value for money and a good choice of meals. The items are cooked to order not like other buffet. Enjoyed the meal so did my partner.

My wife and I visited the above Balti House last Saturday. It's not our 1st visit how ever. We, As do a majority of Lostock Hall, Find the place a pleasure to dine. And drink. The meals are if a good proportion. The waiters are very friendly, And the place is spotless. A fantastic dining experience.

Love this restaurant. Lovely curries with nice staff and good prices. Cannot fault it in any way. It as a takeaway service for those who do not want to dine in and as early bird offers.

2 of us visited on a whim between Christmas and new year (Wednesday 30th) at teatime, fair enough we didn't book, but when we arrived the restaurant was quiet a and we were told there was plenty of space. We have visited plenty of times before. We sat down and were given menus, the manager came to take our order, however he asked if we were ready and after saying yes he then walked away and served 3 other tables. Our food arrived very quickly, and it was nice, howver we were rushed, i hadn't even put my cutlery down when the plates were taken away, I was then told if we wanted to finish our drinks we would have to sit at another table as they had given ours yo another party, we was not even offered sweets or coffees. We drank up and paid, then left. Ad mentioned, the good was very good, usually the service is okay, but the issue is paying nearly £60 for a meal and being rushed to eat in about half an hour, I must note that it is only the man whom I assume is the manager who was like this

We ordered take away on New Years Eve - the place was ram packed and of course the food was a little late, but it was so busy, and they gave us free food and drinks !

This is probably one of the best takeaways in the area. We have ordered a range of meals from the menu and have not been disappointed. My particular favourite is Chicken Tikka Biryani whilst my husbands is Jalfrezi, Both meals have lovely flavours and plenty of chicken. Definitely value for money at this takeaway.

Visit Sangam regular to sit in and take out. Food is always amazing and service always friendly and quick. I'd advise to book at a weekend as not a large restaurant and very popular.

Took my daughter for her birthday. Meal was quick to arrive and excellent quality. The staff were attentive and friendly. Had a pint of cobra which was a bit cloudy but tasted just OK.

We visited with family to celebrate my dads wedding, 16 of us and we were all very happy with our meals and as always the service and staff were very good. It is a lovely place for a meal and the staff are always lovely and friendly and very helpful if you have any allergies.

We have been taking friends to the Sangam for many years, they in turn take their friends and family. Relatives who live away want to visit here as soon as they come back. The food is unbeatable the staff are excellent, friendly, hard working, knowledgeable and patient. Well done Al and staff. Doreen & Graham.

We have been visiting this restaurant on a regular basis for the past 10 years. Never disappointed, menu is always changing, be brave and try the various Bangladeshi dishes available you will not be sorry. Lovely staff and talented chefs.

Not being from the area I visited with my partner and her children. Your greating and warmth was my first impression. The fact she has bright pink hair I'm sure not the only reason you recognised her but that she is a regular visited.

Best Indian around. Love, love, love their chicken tikka masala with pilau rice. Naan breads are lovely. You always get 3 free onion bhajis with a take away. Also love their popadoms with chutney, mint yog and salad. My partner loves their chicken khari and he's very fussy I've been to the likes of eastZeast which is very poor compared to the sangam. Restaurant is above an opticians and you must book, I hope one day they will open a bigger restaurant too as they'd make a killing!!

We visited the Sangam Balti House as a party of four on a Saturday night after previously booking.

Tried take out after reading the good reviews on here, as we fancied a change and although it was quite a bit more expensive than normal we thought it would be worth it. How wrong could we be ? After being very specific about our address I got a call to say the delivery was outside our house. I opened the door and no one was there ! Apparently correct road wrong village! Our meal eventually arrived after another half hour. We couldn't believe it, after all that and part of the meal was missing! ( at least it was my wifes and not mine !) alas my meal was cold, the meat was full of gristle and my tepid meal was swimming in fat. The limp keema naan slid out of the packet like a lump of dough and it went straight in the bin. I honestly hope and expect this is not the norm for the Sangam as so many reviews are good but for us it was money down the drain and we will not be going there again. Sorry Sangam, but if you are going to do take out do it properly ! I hope this acts as a kick up the back side to improve things. Apologies if this was an off day.

We have been going to the Sangam for a few years now after some good friends took us and it never disappoints. Top quality food. A hidden gem. Great value on a Sunday.

Visited for an evening meal. The small restaurant was very busy and I was glad we had booked. Obviously very popular with the locals. The tables are too close together and it felt cramped with all being used. The staff were friendly enough though obviously a little over run, there were a lot of takeaways being served as well. The delays between courses was no big deal.
