Sandy's Cafe in South Ayrshire

I don't have to say anything as they know what I want to order after been in a couple of times

Staying at near by caravan park and had to do some research to find a decent chippy. Sandy's was certainly one that stood out with reviews. We ordered the dressed fish, black pudding and sausage. Everything tasted absolutely beautiful and had an old school taste like I remember. Chips were also nice. I would recommend if you can drive 20 mins from the caravan park definitely order from here. Simple straight forward chippy menu.

Very busy, but service from the young girls was first class. Quick and polite. Food was cooked to order and superb.

THE best chippie in town. Classic menu. Fish suppers are superb and cooked fresh to order. Prices are great value. Staff are very friendly and very busy.

£4.20 for chips and a can? bit pricey imo.

We've not been able to to Sandys for a wee while. Tonight we went and best fish suppers we've had in a long time. Tried others in the area who dont come close to Sandy's.

Wow brilliant fish and chips a winner in prestwick absolutely class you can tell as we had to wait as freshly made but it was worth the wait we'll done team girl at counter was great but doesn't think prestwick is that good I don't live here it's the best for a holiday well done sandy cafe

Not many options, chips were barely cooked, no kids options and quite pricey Scampi was decent though

Have been three times and had a long wait each time.Customers who ordered after me received their order before me.After complaining to the fryer was told the fish had priority in the fryer and my sausage and black pudding would have to wait.Had to wait outside in the cold for over 15 minutes.Other customers told me never to order anything rather than fish as you always have a long wait for your order.

Why is it cash only in 2020, when nearly everyweh else takes card? On top of that businesses are being encouraged to avoid cash handling she to COVID.

I had the best coffee here + a savoury with chickpeas in it( can't remember what was called) but so mega tasty. . lovely home made breads. Can't wait till sitting in area open again as this looks quirky. Bit more expensive but so worth it. 👍☕

1999, I was here on holiday for 10 days . Instead of going to a sit-down restaurant, I decided to have my first ever meal of fish and chips. Got back to the Kincraig Hotel and the aromas were great. Tasted a slice of potato and that was nice. Better than the American French Fries. The fish, still warm, had a good coating of batter that surrounds the fish. First bite, and the mouth was in a happy state of mind. Went back to Sandy's the next day after golf, to enjoy another takeout meal. Good to see the business is still there. Are the children the proprietors now?

My wife a nd I go to sandy's very often, we travel from Hamilton to Prestwick he does a very good fish supper and the portion size is very large

Waited 30 plus minutes for a sausage super and once the sausage was cooked the guy tried to give me one that had been sitting all that time, then threw a strop after I pointed out that I had been waiting all that time and wasn't happy to accept something that had been sitting for who knows how long. Terrible definitely will not be back!

Takeaway food sold here which was nice but I found it more expensive than some of the other local takeaways in the area.
