Really impressed food really well done&home cooked had lasagna,chips,garlic bread&apple crumble for dessert,well presented &very nice,reasonable pricing as well,will return.

Visited here for Sunday Dinner for 6 people, I Would recommend pre booking a table as it was quite busy. Half of the party ordered beef dinner one of which was a child’s meal (half adult portion) the other half ordered the 3 meat combo consisting of chicken breast, beef and pork chop. The food arrived very quick, it was warm not hot. I would of liked to of seen condiments on the table prior to food arriving as we had to ask for them once the food arrived as the staff member did not ask if we wanted any. One of our party ordered their dinner without gravy and it came with gravy so that was sent back and immediately a dinner came out without gravy. The beef on the meals was ok, tasted delicious but very chewy, (the child in our party could not eat it as was too chewy) also it would of been nice to of been given the option to have the beef either pink or well done. The pork chop and the chicken on the meat combos was amazing and the size of the chop was unbelievable. All veg was served on your plate a suggestion might be to serve the meat, mash, roasted potatoes and stuffing on the plate then have a dish with vegetables brought separately so people can help themselves to the preferred vegetables as some vegetables were left on plates as people didn’t like that certain vegetable. The vegetables were very hard and only just cooked, a few of the party members have said they would of preferred the veg cooked a little bit more. The staff were very polite and courteous but during our meal we had four different staff members attend to us which was no problem but there became confusion as to what staff member had already asked us for example we got asked twice about desserts. (suggestion maybe have one or two staff members allocated to two/three different tables and focus on those tables)

Quick, friendly, polite service and excellent value for money. For three meals including drinks it was £35 which is excellent, the food rates great and also the portions are good. No games of count the chips here. It’s also very disabled friendly which as my father has a spinal injury is very important, completely level access and lots of space. In a world of Covid the booths also make you feel safer and more private. A great all round experience

We went into Sandy’s for Sunday lunch. We both ordered the roast beef dinners at £10 each. The service was quick and the staff were very attentive. We were both pleasantly surprised at the large portions that were served up especially considering the cost. The food was hot and the quality and variation of food on offer were excellent. We would recommend you visit and sample what is on offer.

Took mum for Friday lunch. Staff were very friendly We both had fish & chips...it was beautiful. Plenty of food. Would definitely reccomend.

First visit since the new menu and the alterations and was amazed how nice it was.The suday lunch very nice and plenty of it and a good choice as well.The staff were very polite, and did not have to wait long for the food to say how many people were there.We will go again in the near future .

Visited here today for the first time for food and since its been refurbished. The atmosphere is lovely and the new decor feels very up-market and relaxing. There are lots of screens around the bar with sports on if you wish to watch but it isn't overpowering if its not your thing.The staff were lovely and friendly and answered any questions we had about the food and offers. Currently there is 10% off all food bills until the end of July and they have various offers on through the week.. Weds is free cake, so if you order anything off the grill or classic section you can chose a free piece of cake.. which you can eat in or take out. The food is also reasonably priced, with most meals under £10, a large glass of wine is £4.30 which I also think is a reasonable price.Will definitely be visiting again!

First time for food at Sandy pate sports bar. We had a Sunday lunch and it was fantastic. My partner had the lamb shank. It was Devine. I'm not a lamb fan but even I could have eaten it. I had the chicken. It just melted in your mouth.

Only eaten in the bar once and it was very nice the down side to this place is the beer it's absolutely garbage and has been for a long time,I use the bar every home game only for the coffee which is fine ,it's a great club with a good following but a group of use have a pint in town as the beer is that bad

I took my wife to Sandy Pate for Sunday lunch after reading the reviews on here. i called and booked a table so that we didn't miss out. we got there just before 2 pm and were seated straight away. the staff were very efficient and we had our drinks within minutes. the food was fantastic. probably one of the best Sunday dinners we have had out. there was plenty on the plate and a very good selection on vegetables. we had a wobbly table which made cutting the food a bit of a trial, that being said, they did offer to move us to another table. If i had one gripe, it would be that instead of having the sound on the TV's for the football they had capital FM on! come on people, its a sports bar!!! On the whole, it was a very nice experience and we cant wait to go back and try some other things on the menu.

Great value Sunday lunch, yes the poshest Sunday lunch you will ever eat but this place definitely goes down for great value for money. Lots of meat on the plate also veg was of good quality. Couldn’t fault the service.

Called recently for a quick bite and drink Problem was I ordered a Stadium Burger Think Big ! excellent service and food brill chips but far to much could have easily fed two Will call again as I was pleasantly surprised

We have lunch here most Sundays, excellent food friendly and obliging staff, and realisticly priced.

First time we went for ages, toilets need a bit of updating, the food was nice it was very reasonably priced. The waitress Natasha was delightful, very helpful and couldn't have done enough for us! The lady needs a promotion or a raise!!

Had a lovely meal I had a cajun chiken panini with side ordee of salad and soup and my partner had a tuna and red onion panani they were both delicious then as it was pancake day we had a banana and salted caramel pancake which was to die for the service was excellent I can't recommend it enough 10 out of 10 from me

Great place......staff are really friendly and helpful. Great place to go and watch football while having a drink and food. Feels like one big family. Also have great entertainment.

Sunday lunch visit. Partner had lamb shank and I had mushroom and thyme carbonara which was delicious. We had had some fairly poor food around Mansfield lately so it was lovely to find food we enjoyed and felt was reasonable value. Staff are nice and efficient, and despite it being a sports bar the music / tv is not loud at all. Also nice to have a menu that isn't the usual pub fayre but is sold at pub prices.

El lugar era bonito y limpio y el personal era amable. Nos sentamos en una de las cabinas que tenía su propia televisión para mi disfrute. Probablemente volveremos a visitar. Una pequeña cosa que me pareció extraño fue que nuestras comidas vinieron y no cubiertos o sal y pimienta estaba sobre la mesa, esto fue evidente en todas las mesas, así que las comidas en la mesa listo para comer, pero la camarera y luego tuvimos que volver para cubiertos y condimentos extraños! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !

He visitado el bar Arena paté muchas veces, tanto para una bebida y comida, y siempre ha sido una experiencia muy positiva.

Mi calle de visita aquí y yo disfrutamos muchísimo con otra pareja. Oído varias veces que la comida era buena, así que decidimos probar la comida de los domingos. Carne de cerdo y se ordenó y por ese precio no me puedo quejar. Sin duda volveremos al bar de deportes. Sí tenían pantallas por todas partes, pero el ambiente general era bueno. Es un bar de deportes todo lo dicho y hecho y la calidad de la comida se merece otra visita.

Fuimos por la cena de Navidad con la familia. Tenía tres campos por £14. 95. Todas las comidas eran agradables, y sirve rápidamente. Personal muy amable y educado. En todos lo pasamos una agradable velada.

Me gusta ir a la barra de arena de deportes paté por algunas razones, una es la comida se sirve rápido, que es el motivo por el que visitar si vamos al cine local, también es muy sabrosa y una buena porción, particularmente el stag burger! ! El personal es amable y servicial, puedes conseguir tarjetas regalo para recoger una comida gratis, y las cabinas son bastante buenas para sentarse en ellas ya que tienen su propia TV HD mostrando las peleas hasta las fiestas de solteros

Refreshing to see fresh ingredients, not a chain pub of pre packed boil in the bag microwave rubbish.... Had aChicken breast in a white wine sauce awesome ..... Misconception that it's just a football bar..... It's in the main stand of the football club but open to the public... Great food friendly service .... Will be back again and again .. Attended our football presentation night in the 1861 suite. Had a 3 course set meal which was warm and okay (sweet was best part). Service was okay and staff efficient. Decent selection of drinks and venue was clean and just right for our due.

Eaten here a few times now and always enjoyed it,but last night the food was not that good,one of the meals was not what we ordered,the staff were very good and apologetic ,but sorry the food was nowhere as good as on other visits.

I'm sure this is a place that many local people see as just a sports bar with fast food.Those people need to give the Sandy Pate Sports bar a try.Its an excellent place to dine for all ages. They have high chairs for the youngest, nicely set out tables in the middle of the room and upholstered booths should you want a back rest and a little more comfort.The staff are attentive to every need. The food is of excellent quality and the portions are of a generous size...Give this place a try and is definitely value for money and with a loyalty card you could be going for a free meal and a free drink

First time visit, the place was full and had trouble getting a table, finally found one and it was not the best table in the world very wobbly to say least. Went with friends ordered meals and was told it was a 45 minute wait, said no problem and sat down. Our friend food was delivered in about 20 minutes but our did not turn up. 20 minutes later asked were our food was they said sorry, and asked if we wanted to cancel we said yes as food did not look great. So cancelled meal but never got offered a refund. Left never to return poor!

As a regular in here on a matchday, I was joined by the good lady for a change to try a Sunday lunch. With some kind of Christmas Craft fair going on, the car park was busy and the SPB already full; fortunately a table had just become free so we jumped in.But yes, the service was good, the food choice and presentation was fine, it came out fairly quickly and was of sufficient no complaints value for money. Definitely a bit more of a personal touch than some of the other more chainy bar restaurants in the locality - without naming any one in particular. So yes, would try it again.My only niggle - and its a only small personal niggle of mine - was that I do prefer "proper" Stella to the weaker and watery Stella Vier that's offered in there nowadays.But if you can get over that, you'll be fine.

Whilst shopping near to the Mansfield Town FC ground on Tuesday 24th November 2015,, me and my wife felt hungry and I recalled that friends had mentioned Sammy Pates Bar was very good for food, I have been in here before for a drink, so we drove on to the massive car park and entered the building. We was greeted by the friendly barmaid who got us a menu. I opted for Sausage, mash, peas and gravy, whilst the wife had Gammon, Chips and peas, both meals came with a free drink and the cost for each meal was only 5.95. The food was excellent and we would def go in there again. Must send special thanks to the barmaid as nothing was too much trouble for her and the place was spotless

Dropped into the Sandy Pate for a beer before a recent game. Not visited for a couple of seasons due to living away but very impressed with the improvements made. Good service, good beer & a great atmosphere. Well done

Love this bar, the food is so good, cooked to order, menu as loads to choose from prices are very good. Plenty of parking food all day, can recommend all day breakfast plenty of it and really good price, always satisfied.

Situated within one of the stands at Mansfield Town Football Club I'm sure a lot of local people do not know this even exists and will drive past the stadium (and banners) happily in there ignorance. As the name suggests it's a sports bar surrounded with sports photos/ projection screens and televisions all showing sporting events, with the sound loud enough to hear without being over powering, not being a sporting fan is no reason to avoid this place just choose the time of your visit wisely and I strongly suggest you do not visit on match days.I've visited numerous times over the last few months, took friends and family too and each time I've been met with a smile and good service. The menu is ideal for the venue (see there website for more details) and they serve a good range of beers and it's a quality pint. An added bonus is they do a loyalty card both for main course meals and drinks (again see there website for details) Opens from 12:00 till late, catering for the lower end of the budget but don't let this out you off. Easy parking right outside the door.

Always had lovely meals, cheap and quick service. Kids meals are huge, get a drink and ice cream too for about £3!! Can watch football from the outdoor seating area, booths have TV's in, disabled toilet/baby change stunk of mould though but ladies was fine! Attached to stags ground handy if watching a match!

its the first time I had been here. The place look very nice and clean. The food was brilliant and great value. They had a singer on and my children danced all night and they loved it. Friendly staff and I can't wait to go again :-) big thumbs up.

Popped in with my Mum and kids. Excellent food and real value for money. 4 meals and two beers all under £25! Staff really friendly, chatty and couldn't done any more to make our visit welcoming.

Being located at Mansfield Town FC, may put some people off. But be assured, that the food on offer is first class and at really reasonable prices. There is even a loyalty scheme in place.We have visited the Sandy Pate bar on many occasions, and will continue to do so, to get great value for money, and a really pleasant atmosphere.

Four of us went for lunch and we all enjoyed our food. It was plentiful and hot. Good value for money3 of us had mixed grill £8.95 and one the seniors 2 course £5.95The young woman serving was friendly and helpfulThey have an offer on their website - collect 7 drinks stamps and get a free pint but we only got 2 stamps even though we had 2 pints for the men and a bottle of wine costing £11 for the ladies which we felt was not fair considering that their website does say drinks not pints. Not even one stamp for the bottle of wine We will go back and will recommend

We thought we would give this place a try the food is really nice ,Shame they care more about the regulars,the booths where all reseved so people could sit their with out eating ,and it makes you very uncomfortable because you feel if you went to the toilet they would get your seat.not a very nice place to eat its a shame coz the food os 9/10

We all met up after the match to celebrate my 70th birthday. I chose this bar as it always looked lively. There was a very good choice on the menu - from Steak to snacks. We ordered onion rings and didn' realise how big they'd be! The food was great the atmosphere also - we had beat Notts County in a friendly - and a very very good time was had by all. We enjoyed it so much that we went later on in the season, nearly as good but only a draw to celebrate! I'd recommend this place as a great place to eat with easy parking and close to Mansfield town centre.

Usually go every week with my dad , as we love it so much , really friendly bar staff great food the chef is amazing at what he does really good value for money ! Lots of choice on their menu, and prices are very good (average £5.95 per main). Also good choice of desserts.Food came fresh and piping hot, and tasted wonderful, excellent quality food for such a low price. Definitely worth a visit :-)

Just a quick one to say I've eaten at this bar and it's fab! Good, wholesome food served with a nice atmosphere! Would go again. :) it does take a while to come to you, but at least you know it isn't microwaved rubbish! Which is rare these days!

My boyfriends family are big Stags fans and go to the bar a lot. We got together as a family to have a Monday night birthday meal out, i was very child friendly too. They suggested this place. We did not have huge expectations and thought it would be your pie and chips fayre but we were wrong! The menu was big and varied and the prices were amazing! I can personally recommend the mixed grill - sausage, chicken breast, gammon steak, rump steak, chips, mushrooms, home battered onion rings and tomato for £8.95 (have paid nearly twice that in restaurants and not been half as happy!) - really fantastic quality of meat and full of flavour - 6 adults ate well for £52 - we will definitely be going back!

Superb food, friendly staff, great new menu. All at very realistic prices. A must visit. If in the area well recommended, hard to beat value anywhere. Can't decide what to try next. Now with a loyalty card, buy 7 meals get nor free and buy seven drinks get one free. See you down there !!!

Just been to the bar for a meal with my fiance, food lovely, had issue with my meal sent back and they did me a new meal, couldnt have been more apologetic. Would not put me off returning! Sat in a booth that had live BT Sport on which I thought is good, clean and nice toilets too.

Called in on a thursday night for their burger and a pint for a fiver deal. Absolute bargain and very generous portions. The bar is very nice and staff are great. Will be going back again soon as everyday has a different meal deal on. Very impressed.
