Super friendly staff, great food, can’t ask for more in your local Chippy! Ordered 2 x fish and regular chips + gravy. All excellent. Gravy the best you will get at a chippy.

Lovely Fish And Pie,missing saveloy

Stafford Lions Club held a charity fundraiser on Friday 10th September. We ordered over 80 portions of fish and chips from Sandon Road Fish and chip shop. They were delivered, red hot and everyone said how fantastic they were! Thank you so much we will certainly use you again in November!!

The food was really nice, the food arrived about 10-15 minutes after the time I ordered for but other than that it was a nice Saturday Night Takeaway.

I've been going to this chip shop since the current owners was his father and Mitch was a little boy. He had carried on the traditional fish and chips since then, extending the menu. Excellent service and brilliant banter. The staff are very polite and friendly, but I hate when they close and I have to go elsewhere. Well done Sandon Road Fish Bar

We had put a big order through to treat our residents to traditional fish and chips. The staff were really helpful and the fish and chips were lovely! The residents really enjoyed them and said they were the best they had had in a long time. The portions were very generous and excellent value for money. Ive used these guys loads of times and loved everything about their service. The delivery lady was always lovely but on the last few occasions delivery was very very late and the woman ( not the usual one ) was surly and rude. I have decided to use other chip shops from now as they offer better service which is a shame.

My order was based on previous reviews as I'd never used Sandon before, and if I'm honest I was very disappointed. I'd order early to beat the evening rush and with the anticipation of fresh quality food, but, this wasn't to be the case, the kebab was really very small, the salad wasn't noticeable, just a little tomato and cucumber, the chili sauce had no distinct flavour, actually was pretty bland.The worst was to follow, the chips, the largest portion I'd ever seen, well, they were just covered in grease, to the extent the page in which they came in was disintegrating. They were obviously old, really brown, not in a nice way, they had no real texture other than being mushy. Certainly crisp on the outside, fluffy on the inside. All in all a very disappointing meal, I will not be using Sandon again

We collect from here quite often. The food is always well prepared, good quantity, and friendly staff. They will also prepare food to your individual special order. For example, cod with only a little batter.

When this Fish and Chip sop first opened, it was excellent. However the quality of food has gradually deteriorated over time to the point where everything that they sell is greasy and tastes, well just not very nice. I certainly would not recommend anything from them. The last meal I had from them was a simple Chips and Peas....simple enough you would think. However the chips were both small and greasy...and some of them were even undercooked. The peas were the best part of the meal.....In summarry I threw them in the bin and will never return again. My Advice if you fancy Fish and Chips....try anywhere but here!!!!!

This was the first time that I tried this chippy and I only did it because they did delivery. I ordered haddock, chicken breast chips and potato fritters. Being honest about it, it wasn’t the best meal that I’d had, the fish was quite small in comparison to other places and was saturated with oil seems like they didn’t drain any excess oil from it the chicken was the same. I’d give the chips 5 out of 10 as they were a little soggy. On the up side the fritters were very nice and very large in comparison. Over all I don’t think I’d rush back.

Always a friendly welcome and good basic food cooked well. Staff are friendly and attentive. Prices are reasonable and the food is tasty and well priced. Currently works going on between tis place and the next door pub mean that parking is more problematic but if you are patent you can usually get a place nearby

Always have the fish special with gravy and i have always enjoyed it best fish very tasty batter and never found a bone. Gravy is always very tasty. Also kebabs you always get plenty of it. I have a chippy round the corner from me that i never use as it serves greasy and tasteless food id rather travel to yours

They were very apologetic and was given a bottle coke for lateness and an apology from the management which i found exceptable being a saturday evening will be very busy. The quality of food is exceptional and was well worth the wait. Will be ordering again thats for sure.

This has been my regular choice of Chip Shop for as long as I can remember. The shop has changed with the times throughout the years, with great additions to the menus. The chicken kebab meat is lovely, the fish and chips are excellent, and the kids menus are also a favourite for the nipper. A great team and clean premises.

Live just down the road and work round the corner, always happy staff on duty, portion size is good and price is right, always nice n hot, this is definitely our "go to" Chippy

This is the best fish and chip shop in Stafford. Always friendly service and friendly banter. I've been using this chippy for over 30 years. Friendly staff who always have a smile and a great welcome wether you are a regular customer or just passing trade. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

We try to eat healthily but love to indulge at our favourite "chippy" about once a month. Without a doubt the tastiest fish and chips, always hot and fresh and very generous portion size so really good value. We last ordered via the Just Eat app, a delivered service and we were even more impressed with how well packaged, fresh and hot the food arrived. Lovely friendly staff and owners, a bonus.

We always eat here the food is always bang on, however I'm not reviewing the food. I'd like to commend the generosity of the team, my son ordered his food last night in the busy shop, when he went to get his money out he realised he had lost it, he got very worried and embarrassed, the lad serving asked the management if he could give my son his meal for free. The manager gave him his tea free of charge. A kind gesture like this means a lot in nowadays, it certainly meant a lot to me and my boy. Thank you x

Yo no hubiera sido alrededor de un año, fue un "fish and chips" en aquel entonces. Hoy la comida sabía a grasa, las patatas fritas eran duras y poco hecha. Y sabían como se ha sido mantenido caliente durante un rato.

i rate a meal as i see good or bad right large cod as a ex chef is around £2.70 a fillet now they charge £4.60 and its about as thick as a fish finger because they cut the fillet in half and sell it as two large cods shocking will upload picture for you small fish must be a stickleback

The whole meal wasn't very pleasant.. The battered sausage had far too much salt on,therefore my child didn't eat it the curry sauce wasn't pleasant either,therefore the same child didn't eat that. The chips were disgusting,as if they'd be cooked again (after the lunch time session). . OVERALL vile and disgusting. Never again
