2nd visit here in as many weeks. We love it here and it finishes off a lovely day dog walking up to Sand Point. Lunch time is busy buy no issues parking outside or finding a table. Fish and chips is really tasty and its incredibly dog friendly where your pooch has water bowls supplied and if you want to treat your dog to an ice cream you csn do that too. You've found yourselves a couple of regulars...

Superb family-run fish and chip shop and so much more! We descended on the Fish and Chip shop with 10 hungry teenage boys who'd been Kayaking nearby with the Mendip Activity centre. The fish and chips did not disappoint, they were delicious and generous portions. Great breaded mushrooms, mushy peas, curry sauce too! It's great that there is space to sit outside and eat. We'd never been here before and it's just across the road from the beach, which is a perfect position. They also sell a myriad of other things, many of which the boys also tested(!) including ice creams, slushies and alcoholic beverages for the grown ups. What stood out here was the friendliness of the owners. We pestered them with various questions and requests and nothing was too much trouble.

Called for fish and chips for lunch for the family. The place was very clean looking and the service very good. However I am disappointed to say the food was not good. The chips were so undercooked, they were horrid. We wore have taken them back but had driven away buy the time we found out. Maybe we're unlucky.

Arrived in sandbay yesterday afternoon and decided to take a walk along the beach to see if we could find the chip shop we had been told about, we had a lovely walk and found the chip shop but it had just closed, as we went to walk away the owner came out and said that he had just closed but we were welcome to come in and choose what we would like, we chose our food and sat outside in the open dining area, the food was great and we were so grateful, I was even allowed to use the facilities even though they were waiting to go home, honestly the nicest kindest people we have met for a long time, we will definitely be going back. Great food and great service, Thankyou

Nice clean place, nice couple, food was nice, I had fish and chips, pot of mushy peas and a pint of Guinness, £14.75, it said fish and chips £6.95 on the board outside but then I realised that was to take away, nice atmosphere and a pleasant couple, even if a little expensive

After taking a bus ride out of Weston super Mare on a chilly, blustering morning, walking along the beach I came across The Sandbay Tea Rooms. What a surprise ! I was given a warm, smiley welcome from 'mine hosts' Dave and Matt'. After a delicious Hot coffee and chocolate shortbreads I I resumed my walk with renewed energy ! Thank you Sandbay Tea Rooms, I shall definitely be back.

Visiting my brother who lives nearby, I always make a visit to the tea room as a priority. Went yesterday with my wife and was nod disappointed. I had to drink a concoction I had 50 years ago in my youth namely a ice cream float consisting of vanilla ice cream in a glass with Coca Cola. To eat I had the tomato and basil soup with bread. My wife had a tuna mayonnaise sandwich with salad. The soup was probably the best I have had and my wife really enjoyed her sandwich. The location is off the beaten track but well worth the effort, not only for this tea room but for the seaside walk.

Wouldn’t want to go back to this place, would rather lick crumbs of the floor outside then suffer another encounter with the local drunk that was sat in the corner hurling abuse cross the room! Food was ok and the lady that was behind the bar was lovely.

Absolutely disgusting 2x fish and chips, chips and curry sauce were okay but the cod was wrapped in what looked to be like a pancake! The batter was grey and yuk! The second I seen it in orange polystyrene boxes I knew this place survived off the back of the surrounding holiday makers and campsites not returning locals!

Have visited on several occasions. Staff friendly, good food and good variety on the menu. From fish and chips, pizza and jacket spuds plus more. We recently moved to the area and this has become our favourite place to come. You can even get a sneaky beer or wine. Clean bright and comfortable restaurant.

Had a large group of 17 friends pre booked in for our Christmas party yesterday, the food choices were placed and deposits taken well in advance. One person had a starter which came out over 3/4 and hour before any of the main meals arrived. The main meals were good on the whole , but the chicken tikka masala didn't taste right (and for this reason) it wasn't eaten, it should have had cream or yoghurt in the sauce, but neither of them appeared to be present. My Mediterranean salad was mostly lettuce and had no olives or feta which are commonly used in this dish, also my tequila tiger prawns were a small portion considering the price, another of our group had a Waldorf salad which was not very large considering it was a main meal on the menu. One of our party asked if we could have some music and was told they couldn't do that, but the TVs were on and showing football, even though we didn't want to watch them, and nobody other than our group, were sat in the area.

Not overly large place so booking is advisable. Having said that, 4 of us turned up without a reservation having had some difficulty in booking a table ? However, the lovely guy at the desk shuffled things around and got us a table. What a great experience ! Chicken, beef, lamb dishes were amazing! Rice, noodles, potatoes, salad, pasta, fish, calamari, chocolate cake, chocolate fountain, gatuea, whippy ice-cream, array of fresh fruit etc etc ... So many choices! We were VERY impressed and have already booked a return visit ! Staff are helpful and polite and kept very busy ! We thought it was good value for money. £13 for children. £20 for adults ...evening price . I think a little cheaper on a lunch time ? All in all a very good experience.

A large area in Waterstones is occupied by this cafe. Lovely coffee and very good selection of cakes and snacks, counter service but very helpful with older customers. Great friendly staff and moderate prices - very popular with the locals.

The pub itself is ok but be really careful if you park in the car park next to it. I didn't see the sign that I had to get a parking permit from the bar. Perhaps it would have been an idea if the bar staff had checked if I'd parked outside? Two drinks ended up costing me £70 once Civil Enforcement had done their worst.
