Had a really good meal here. Food was authentic and very tasty. Service was top notch, friendly and quick. Shahid was really helpful and advised us of some delicious dishes

We visited Sanam Restaurant today and ordered kebabs, tikka, roti, and a special sanam pistachio cake. However, we were very disappointed. The food was terrible, and the special sanam pistachio cake didn't seem fresh at all.

We had breakfast and ordered 2 Alo parathas which were not prathas at all. Terrible overpriced for such a bad quality food. Would not recommend to anyone.

They give food under weight I bought 1 kg jalebi today and when reached and weighed it was 100g short weight. Please check yourself if it is happening with you

Second time coming here after a year, the chicken pasties have changed and they are all pastry, and not much chicken. I found them very very heavy, too much butter perhaps? Shame they do nothing vegan for my wife.

Loved the food out here with excellent customer service on top of that the beverages was spot on had mojitos with the mix grills and had eskandari lamb with paya and the naans was top class.

I went there with my family and i ordered food and in food i ordered nihari as well but when they bring nihari there was no meat in nihari they said actually nihari was finished but you ordered so thats why we bring gravy only and they didn't even tell me that they dont have nihari at the moment ao that we can order something else. And they charged us with full price of nihari in the bill .that was only gravy without meat.they are robbers dont go to this place

I went with my family to eat there, food is very bad, doesn't like itt, very rude stuff, not worth itt.

Came out of town to eat and decided to try out this place... What a big mistake that turned out to be. From the moment we walked in there was disappointment, the smell inside the restaurant was as though they haven't washed the fabrics in years, it was very off-putting for a place to dine in. In terms of food, starters were decent however we ordered chicken palak as a main, there was barely any chicken in this dish so we requested the managers assistance asking if we could change the dish as it was not explained that it would be DRENCHED with spinach and barely any chicken. So my friend (who has worked in many restaurants) proceeded to ask the manager if we could change the dish, he rudely said 'NO, it doesn't matter if you work in a restaurant' and refused to change the dish, his attitude was disgusting. I will not even start with the chicken biryani (bland & definitely not asian style as requested). No customer service skills amongst majority of the staff including the manager. After leaving almost all of our mains we decided to leave, after requesting the bill three times (on a very quiet evening) a very polite young gentleman named Kareem brought it over. He was very helpful and sets an example for a lot of the other staff who certainly don't look like they want to be there. They should definitely learn a few things from Kareem. Due to this experience I can definitely say I will NOT be returning, not even worth the one star required to post this review.

My husband and I love dining at this restaurant every week; the food is simply amazing! I’m a huge fan of curry and usually whip it up at home since it’s hard to find a fresh version. Whenever Musa is working, the quality of the food is exceptional, and his service is truly remarkable. He always brings us fresh chillies, garlic, and coriander to elevate the flavors of our favorite dishes. Musa makes it a point to check in with us to ensure everything is perfect, and he finishes off the meal with a hot towel and some chocolate mints. The service we receive from Musa is five-star all the way! He remembers our orders without us even having to say a word. When he’s not around, we definitely feel a bit let down!

We had the best dinner. Place wasn’t that busy, we were there at 6pm. Service was great, Musa is very kind.

Dirty bakery & sweet shop. No hygiene and on cakes quite often you will find hair on cakes. Also the cream on top of their cakes are not healthy and full of low grade fat which will make you sick!

Food wasnt too bad, customer service was absolutely rubbish. The waiter was too lazy to bring a jug of water so made us pay for bottled water and sold told me the chutney plate was complementary when he charged for it...we didnt even use it. Also tried to sell us other sides that were not needed. Toilets are also.rubbish, no hand wash and cubicle doors are designed so you cant get in and out without brushing past the toilet.

Went there for a friend's Nikah ceremony. I parked my car in pay and display car park area which is behind it. Food was fresh and delicious. Service was excellent.

Simply awful. £30 for chicken karahi, lamb karahi, 1 naan and onion rice! The price included a 10% discount as it was a takeway! The curries were dry, meat rubbery and so chilly hot, virtually inedible. Drove all the way from Bury. Stay away, rubbish

One of the oldest restaurants on Wilmslow road still has good food

I recently visited Sanam to buy a jalebi, and unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. The person selling the jalebi was extremely rude, speaking to me as if he was doing me a favor by serving me. It felt like my presence as a customer was more of an inconvenience than a welcome. Customer service is just as important as the food, and in this case, the service left a lot to be desired. I hope the management addresses this behavior, as it really detracts from the overall experience Jalebi was okay.

I came yesterday with my friends. Really enjoy the taste, specially lamb on the bobe is extremely delicious and service is too good.

I had a lunch with a friend at sanam restaurants because we were craving for Nahari in this pouring rainy weather. We went after 12pm and they it got busy soon. Thank God we ordered one portion of Nahari ,Haleem and kebab with Naan because one portion was more than enough for 2 people.Their Nahri and haleem was so delicious and full of flavours . We have asked few things extra like lemons and water or mint sauce and that boy was so active and attentive towards 3 tables and very pleasant manners and service. I really like their Sesame seeds naan with Nehari . In our way back we stood in their bakery to buy some fresh cookies and my very special surprise item was large baked Bakarkhuni which in last 19 years ,I have never seen anywhere in Manchester. That was pure joy for me to buy that . I have shared a picture below.

Omg!!! Never again. The waiter was so rude. Wanted a quick snack dahi bhalley and a main king prawn tandoori. The dahi bhallay was dry hard with no toppings on. When I asked where's the toppings he said some customers don't like...so I said who am I then? The prawns...omg! Dry and only 3. Nothowit was described on the menu. When I asked him he got irate and started calling me a time waster and started saying stupid things. Forget me...another couple sat infront of me asked for desi breakfast a d was asking about omelette. The same waiter was rude to them too saying how many times do I need to tell you that we don't make omelette etc...

Sanam has lost its standard.When we raised the food issue with the manager the middle aged man who roams around every table and flatters British customers by saying hope that food is good but when faces rhe reality of the foods feedback got very rude and instead of acknowledging told us to leave saying now it's too late you have already eaten it.This restaurant needs a better manager! The manager is a very disrespectful towards customers who have an issue with anything.He does not know how to deal with any complaints.The owner is very kind and down to earth but the manager thinks he owns this restaurant and deals poorly like hes a millionaire.Very disappointed.

Customer service was good, curries were on point, unfortunately we felt the chicken in the shezuan noodles tasted off, we did bring this to the attention of the waiter but he and the chef thought it tasted fine, we didn't argue and finished our meal less the Chicken Shezuan which we paid for, the waiter discounted us a can of pop.. not really a fair trade off considering the Shezuan was over a tenner. Overall it was good experience apart from the Chicken Shezuan. Be mindful, you have to pay for the salad and the tray of chutneys.

I normally grab a rasumalai on the go. 1st was great and very fresh. 2nd time it went in the bin as wasn't fresh. 3rd time, today, one piece was OK but the second tasted pretty bad and definitely wasn't fresh. Don't think I'll be going to this place again.

We came last Monday morning, place is very good and food is delicious. Specially the man who pass the meal is very friendly and well educated, he knows how to deal a customer very well. Will visit again.

Half brought and then other half came 20 mins later. Not good enough! Manager raising his voice at a group of three girls who told them of the issue and showed him the chicken. Refused to take off the bill and other people were beginning to watch so we paid and left.

Served raw chicken today. Managers attitude towards the complaint regarding raw chicken was vile. Only go if you want salmonella. £60 down the drain.

We visited here yesterday felt very uncomfortable because the old waiter kept on talking whilst we was ordering saying order this forcefully which I think is very rude. Whilst we was eating the old waiter kept on starring which was very off putting. We hadn't finish ordering he give the bill and we had to re order. The tea was absolutely disgusting it was like water I don't think they let it boil. The jalabi was re heating for 3 tiny pieces it costed £3.80 which was shocking. Overall I wouldn't be visiting this restaurant again it's going downhill

Even though I've eaten the take out food from Sanam, last night was the first time I've eaten in there. The samosas here are so good. I went there with my friend. The place had a nice atmosphere and the decor is kind of cosy. We ordered 2 poppadoms for starters. When we asked if the sauce and chutneys came with it, the waiter said yes. But that wasn't the case. He asked us if we wanted a salad with our starter, and he asked us like it was complimentary, but that wasn't the case. We ordered a chicken biryani, lamb karahi, and 2 naan with 2 cans of tango (which cost £2.80 each, and that was an absolute joke). The Chicken Biryani looked good, but it tasted like it had too much of a spice, so it made it taste weird. The Lamb karahi tasted very nice. The lamb was so soft. The naan was fresh, so it complimented the curry very well. I would have given the place 5 stars, but the extra charges and the extortionate price of the can really put us off.

It was disgusting. The manager was so rude and arrogant, it seems he hasn’t learnt basic principles of public service. Unbelievable he even pushed one of guests. Why? Trading standards should take action against this man.

I attended this restaurant few hours ago, I've never been so dissapointed before. I ordered mix starter plater, Paya, chicken jalfrezi with couple of drinks and naan. Everything other than naan was absolutely tastless, no flavours or nice smell of the food. Please stop wasting people time and money with this tastless food.

Food is (OK) can't complain even portions are small as flight size!! But prices are extra higher then usual.

Lovely food and lovely service.

This used to be my favourite restaurant as everything used to be perfect. However, I believe their chef has changed and that is negatively impacting the taste of their dishes. Their naans are not the best anymore. Their service had already dropped since quite a while ago, hence, didn't expect any improvement in my recent visit. Lot's of room for improvement compared to their peak quality and service. Overall, it's worth giving a try but avoid them if you know any other restaurant that is better.

Had a very nice set meal here. Reasonably priced. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They do an evening buffet which looks amazing but you need to be really hungry. No alcohol which is a shame when eating hot curry.

5pm, Sunday, 7 April. Went in to get a few mithai boxes. I must say the special mithai boxes and bags look great. But the customer service was rude and lazy.

Excellent place to visit. Lovely ambiance and food quality is best around the town. Staff is very friendly and professional, specially the younger guy, very calm and polite. Will surely visit again.

Food was top of my list especially the mix grill and lamb karahi it was amazing with polite staff one of a great restaurant to come to if your in Manchester
