A fantastic classic traditional old school cafe in Rochdale which serves a fantastic breakfast and offers great value and a friendly service. Can highly recommend.

Meal was good. Pie , chips and gravy. Nice atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff. Service was prompt and polite. It's an old fashioned cafe ( in a nice way) if it had a jukebox, it would be like the 60s. Every one worked very hard. I spoke to man cleaning dishes about scooters, very friendly. I spoke to lady taking orders, she was happy I liked the meat pie. She said it was home made. It was my first time there, I will go again. All the customers appeared satisfied with the cafe.

I had a roast beef lunch & a sweet for £6.50, which is good value. However, the sweet (apple pie & cream) was served cold. It it'd been hot I'd have awarded 5 stars! Later that afternoon Bristol Rovers beat Rochdale A.F.C. 2-1, so I left Lancashire a happy man!

This is your old type cafe but the food was amazing see picture of the full English - this was just a standard one I can’t imagine what the large one looks like. Usually we go to Regal Moon for breakfast but have been disappointed lately so we thought we’d try this place out. We came through the main door then placed and paid for the order (remember to get cutlery from the counter) the food was HOT just what you want, price was about £13 and proper filled us up. We will DEFINITELY coming here again!!! One recommendation to the cooks to maybe have the plum type tomatoes??

Been coming to San Remo for years, food always hot and fresh and service always good. Don't let the outside put you off the chips and gravy is immense and the prices are reasonable.

We had a take out and it was great 4 breakfast sandwiches plenty of fillings, for example I has bacon and tomato on toast and it was delicious, I had that much I saved half for lunch. Excellent valve and great service I rang our order in and it was all ready in 10 minutes thank you I We will be back

If we ever decide to order a breakfast sandwich our main stop is San Remo's. Love the breakfast sandwiches from here. Been coming here for over 30years and never had a bad one yet. Always great food and service. Thank you San Remo.

Visiting Rochdale and after researching TripAdvisor reviews for cheap eats was heading for one café which turned out to have closed down very recently. This hidden gem of a café, which was not listed on TripAdvisor (I've attempted to remedy that), was directly across the road. If you like things retro, also a café that comes with a great atmosphere, excellent food and conversation, you won't go wrong. Aldo the Italian owner has been running his establishment for over 60 years and the Welsh lady (sorry I didn't catch her name) who served me has been there for over 20 years, how is that for longevity. Now I admit I like my Wetherspoons but if I can find somewhere local and that little bit different I will always give them a try. Rochdale Wetherspoons is minutes away but I urge you to give it a miss just once and try San Remo Coffee Bar, I wasn't disappointed, I hope you won't be too.
