Amazing food, especially the meat feast pizza and the shawarma

A couple of weeks ago while passing through Castleton after a customer visit, I decided it was the perfect opportunity to stop by His’n’Hers for a bite to eat. Having heard quite a few positive comments about their shawarma from others, I was eager to see what the buzz was all about. Unfortunately, when I arrived, I was informed that their shawarma wouldn’t be available until the evening. While initially a little disappointed, the 2 owners were quick to recommend some other options from their menu, which I appreciated. Given that it was lunchtime and I was looking for something not too heavy, I opted for their grilled chicken burger meal. One thing that immediately stood out to me was their commitment to quality and freshness. Unlike many places where food feels mass-produced, their chicken fillets are marinated and prepared entirely from scratch right there on the premises. You can see this care in action, as the grill is positioned directly in front of the counter, giving customers a full view of the preparation process. It was reassuring to watch my meal being freshly made rather than pre-assembled or reheated. The burger itself was impressive. The chicken fillet was tender, flavourful, and perfectly cooked, nestled in a generously sized burger bun with crisp, fresh salad and just the right amount of sauce. Each bite was a delight, with the marinated flavors of the chicken shining through. The chips that came with it were equally noteworthy – hot, crispy, and fried to perfection. It was a simple meal done exceptionally well, leaving me feeling satisfied without being overly full. Another thing worth mentioning is their ethical approach to product selection. It was good to see that they don’t stock Coca-Cola products. It’s always a bonus when a place aligns with values you support. Overall, my experience at His’n’Hers was fantastic, and I’m already planning to return. The two owners were friendly and helpful, the food was fresh and delicious. I’m especially eager to come back one evening to try their much-praised shawarma. If it’s anything like the grilled chicken burger, I know I won’t be disappointed!

Amazing food, fresh and tasty. Clean place and amazing people. They will bend over backwards to help you and make sure you are happy with everything.. samosa chaat is bloody lovely honestly can't recommend it more!

Absolutely amazing takeaway. Food is always freshly made and the shawarma is 2nd to none. Our son thinks the pizzas are amazing!!!. Owners are fantastic people, very friendly and always make ya feel very welcome. In our opinion it's the best takeaway in Rochdale. Chris+Trish.

1st time coming here ordered 3 separate pizza and oh my best pizzas ever The chicken tikka was out of this world succulent and flavoursome Chips wasn't the average peri peri salt they make there own salt This is what pizza are ment to be like flavoursome and filling Gave a sample of sharwama and the sauces they used was home made as well A hidden gem in castleton

I'm a chef and I have to say that the food here is absolutely gorgeous and the owners are really welcoming and both have great personalities but again the food is good , really good, I truly recommend anybody to eat here if they have the chance

Just tried his n hers for the first time and will be my new regular go to for takeaway. The food ordered was tasty and you could tell quality fresh ingredients are used. Highly recommended

Honestly some of the best customer service I’ve experienced in a takeaway, the hearty, welcoming atmosphere (even from fellow customers) made me feel at home immediately. If you haven’t already, what are u doing, go get His n Hers and I would definitely recommend the chicken shawarma with naan! It’s a perfect option for those nights when you want the taste of home without the cooking.

A hidden gem, ordered a meat feast pizza and bakewell tart. Wow, was not disappointed. 10/10, must try. Highly recommended.

Amazing food and always so accommodating with dietary requirements. The mango chutney is to die for and we order it every time ( the reason we come). Service is great and the couple who own it are lovely and so nice. Always pleasant to talk to and everything is homemade. Reasonable priced as well to top it off

Really great hospitality and customer service from the owners. They even let me taste some of the flavours of chicken, and donner stir fry they made for taste adjustments. I ordered a Garlic bread with underneath donner and cheese on top with a separate tray of stir fry donner meat. Food quality is 5 star The flavours and quality on donner meat was tender and melt in the mouth full of flavour. Garlic bread was not overly garlicy and fluffy soft top and perfectly crunchy bottom. Five star service Great hospitality from the get go, before I left they asked if all my needs were met and happy with the food. Very open to converstaion, polite and humorous. 3 star atmosphere Only because there isn't much room for an atnosphere as the shop is only small, it's more like a grab a go. Open early doors on some weekdays which is a massive plus Parking is very limited

Small boutique place to have your go to take away. Does delicious meals and superbly well sized portion for bargain prices. Advise :- if you are here do not miss this desert below, ask for chocolate sponge cake with custard Freshly made utterly delicious and warning: don’t bite your fingers !!!

Excellent food,delivery guy was very courteous and even came back to the house when they had forgotten a part of our order which we hadn't noticed and gave us a couple drinks as an apology. He apologised .well done young man you are a credit to His and hers

As a tourist attending Manchester for the park side festival, I had to walk around the area , slightly worried as a tourist from Coventry , where is good ? Where is safe and clean? Well the owners and staff make this place! Very friendly very approachable , super clean place !! Rest assured the food was outstanding and very cheap! Ordered tonight for the first time and the only disappointment was not going sooner. WOW!! Best takeaway I’ve had, and the service matched the food. Superb. Mark box was delicious, and incredible value for money. Shawarma and the Naga wings best I’ve ever had. Proper pakora that reminded me off the pakora I had as a kid. And the samosas were so crispy. Extremely rare to find takeaway food clearly made with love, and this is. Thanks and I’ll certainly be seeing you soon

Delicious shwarma on freshly cooked naan! Lovely friendly staff. May wait a little bit longer for your food but that's because it's freshly prepared and very much worth the wait! Will definitely return when I'm in the area again. Top notch!

The best place for a takeaway in Castleton. Food is fresh & tastes amazing. The owners are welcoming & very friendly. The menu has a wide range to tailor for everybody. Really pleased to have tried His & Her’s - won’t go anywhere else now.

Best Pies around! Amazing fresh cooked food, wonderful staff. Anyone in Rochdale needs to come down and try the pies, shwarma and grilled burger. Amazing value for money!!!

Before ordering, I was told it will take 25-40 minutes and once I placed my order, the estimated time frame given to me was 40-60 minutes. It came in about 45 minutes.

Foods nice can’t complain ordering first time. Only issue is serve the pies in bigger boxes and not round ones as its cramped in and can’t enjoy it properly :)

Popped in here a week or so ago to give it a try... was NOT DISSAPPOINTED!!! The food was cooked fresh to order so was lovely and hot, portions are generous and overall the food is very tasty. Enjouyed it so much, went back on Tuesday for a second round... lovely!!!

Beautiful grilled chicken burger and the best pink tea in Rochdale. Kids enjoy the shawarma wraps. Amazing food every time. Nice and clean. Love the daily specials, incase we need a home made style meal like lasagne. Also used their catering service for summer holiday. Definitely will do so again. 100% recommended.

I've tried many many food places in the area, and this one tops the lot. Firstly the service is outstanding. Staff are friendly, great conversations and very polite. The food is amazing, very flavoursome and taste like home made food. You can just taste how fresh the food is, and I reiterate this place is probably the best in the area. The prices are better than most and cheap I'd say for what you get. I highly recommend 'His n hers' and if you're on the fence, just go for it and I can assure you that you WONT be disappointed.

Gotta join in the good reviews, I’m pretty impressed. Staff had a smile on their face. £8.50 for their gourmet burger meal, I’d say worth it and cheaper options are available. Pretty thick burger with plenty of cheese, lettuce, red onion, tomato and a really nice tangy chilli cheese sauce. Only thing I’d say is patty could have slightly more moisture, but nothing really to complain about. Chips are your normal takeaway chips, but couldn’t have been cooked better with loads of red salt and vinegar which made them tasty. Overall pretty good value and their menu’s quite exciting so I look forward to coming again. I’d be unkind to knock a star off.

Honestly the shawarma & chips was the nicest thing ever! The portion size would easily have done 2 adults for a meal, the cake was also incredible, I think this is one of my new favourite takeaway spots! Thank you so much!

I recently ordered a pizza takeaway from His n Hers. The pizza was simply outstanding and the samosas, shawarma are very nice and tasty too but the pizza’s were amazing. The naga sauce is just wow🤩.

Loved the naga wings !! Mmmmmm 😋 they were perfect! just the right amount naga flavour and heat I was looking for. I personally think the meat feast pizza tasted much more better than other pizza's I've had 👏🏼👏🏼 and I'm not really into pizza's but I really enjoyed this one Maa shaa Allah 👍🏼 Very friendly and welcoming owners with their Amazing food!
