As always excellent friendly service & delicious food. We took our 3 granddaughters there for breakfast this morning as we frequently do. Lovely Elif remembered their previous order and always makes the children feel welcome. There are lots of healthy options too. Would thoroughly recommend.

Decided to bring my kids for lunch today , they ordered chicken nuggets and I ordered falafel wraps with salad , second time this has happened to me I had the hair in my salad , which is this disgusting . Kitchen staff should cover the hair before the cook food for anyone, front staff did offer me cake they both was very nice

Having been coming to San Marino for a good few years, and been very happy with the service, this time it was awful, they weren’t that busy, compared to other visits, were you had to wait for a table, our order was taken, no teas placed with the orders arrived, we had to go and ask for them, after 15 minutes. Only one tea arrived. other customers who came in after us, were served with their orders, we sat there for for quite awhile, then had to remind the staff we haven’t had our order. Whilst others had received their orders well after we arrived, when the food finally came, another 20 minutes later it was freezing cold, the chips were cold and soggy. Cold beans & hard bacon, only the sausage was hot, maybe they had to buy some, and the orders were left on the side that’s why the rest of the order was cold. It was a case of let’s get out of here, it was a set breakfast gone totally wrong. Never get complacent in these times.

We love to go to breakfast here. The different veggie breakfast options are absolutely great, I love the inclusion of healthy items such as spinach and avocado in the usual breakfast menu. My family can also have the regular sausage and beans too. Absolutely top rate.

Great customer service and delicious breakfast / brunch. We always go for the Mushrooms on Toast and the Istanbul Breakfast. Dog friendly too, which is perfect for our little dogs.

Last time I visited with my dad in September, I couldn't rate the place more. This time, i thought it would be a nice end to a weekend visiting my parents, so bought mum along too. The staff weren't seemingly fully trained for what they were doing, they served customers that arrived after us, and consistently had to be asked to serve us. I'm assuming that one of them is new, and yet she was the one who actually tried her hardest. Then the owner arrived. He was ignorant, and rude. We ordered at the same time. Mums food arrived about ten minutes before mine and my dads. My dad had ordered food which didn't arrive correctly, he then asked for it to be corrected and got told it wouldn't be. Mums poached eggs weren't runny. The owner refused to listen to someone who's been in the catering/hospitality industry for 50+ years, point blank refusing to even listen or look him in the face. Saying that he doesn't need to be told what to do. The girl on the bar, as always, was lovely and couldn't be working harder at her role. We walked out. The disgusting behaviour of the owner lets this place down, and I do hope he listens to someone in the future, because if he continues to go on the way he has he will lose business and respect of the people of Leytonstone incredibly quickly. I couldn't be more disgusted at the way the owner treated his customers. Ignorance does not get you far in life, especially not in the hospitality industry. Good luck.

Always a lovely place yo have a quick lunch, brunch or whatever you wanna call it. I have been coming here for years and never been disappointed.

It can be hard to find decent drop in food places while traveling for work. San Marino gets full marks for making my life easier! Great food.

The food here is always amazing and always freshly cooked, and a vibrant atmosphere.. I had a lovely Lasagne / chips / salad which I can recommend for anyone, because it was delicious and cooked to perfection.. Also my girlfriend went for a breakfast set 1, which she said was awesome and did make her day, because the eggs/ sausages and everything else was cooked perfectly and tasted like a Dream.. excellent

I ordered a large amount of various sandwiches from San Marino for a big funeral at the local church. It was ordered well in advance. On the day, everything arrived, thrown all together in large containers. It was a mess! I had expected, not unreasonably, for them to be presented nicely on platters with a few trimmings. This would surely be an expectation of any catering facility. The bread was cheap and although there was a good amount of filling in the sandwiches, it was basic and without the inclusion of a bit of salad or anything that most places would add. I cannot say how upsetting this was. It was an embarrassment to present food like this without any care or attention and it wasn't cheap. It would have been far better to order from a supermarket.

I have been to San Marino for the past few years. I always had a nice time there and the food is good. Unfortunately, today I was really disappointed to see that no staff member was wearing the mask and most tables were not sanitised after being used. I don't think I will be back there until they respect the safety measures.

What a lovely place the food is fantastic I talk to the owner and the staff he never ignores you comes and shake your hand brilliant atmosphere always full in there very popular place to eat

I like this place and been here many many times. Huge portions, lovely decor and great choice. Always a warm welcome and good service. Only one bad point, the only take cash payments which is a bit Of a pain in this day and age.

Home cooked quality food at a reasonable price is a rare thing to find. This local Greek restaurant covers all your comfort food, lunch favourites and their own specialty dishes in a relaxed atmosphere.

Great caff with fantastic selection of food and drinks at a very affordable price. Portions are huge and in all the many occasions I have visited this place, I always left with a very full belly. Service is good and decor is very nice. Only one bad point, they only take cash payments, which in this day and age is a bit of an inconvenience.

Si la revisión se basara únicamente en la comida, la habría calificado más alta, ya que era realmente buena, abundante ya un precio razonable. No lo califiqué más alto porque no recibieron el pedido del todo bien, dieron papas en lugar de arroz, aunque ofrecieron agregar arroz como guarnición. Lo rechazamos porque el tamaño de la comida era grande y habría habido desperdicio. Luego nos cobraron el precio del menú completo y no el precio especial del almuerzo, que indiqué claramente al realizar nuestros pedidos.

He estado aquí un par de veces ya que es mi local.Siempre está lleno en las mañanas de los fines de semana (como son las mejores cafeterías), pero vale la pena, ya que la mayoría de la comida es la comida estándar de la cafetería.¡También tienen muchos artículos turcos que también son muy buenos!

Entré y pedí un huevo mediano, no líquido ni duro, solo mediano. El chef no sabía cómo hacerlo y luego la señora más joven del restaurante comenzó a ser grosera y antipática. Es una pena como hemos estado antes y no hemos tenido un problema. El resto del personal era amable pero ella no lo era. Ella generalmente está en la caja.Además, cuando dije que quería que el huevo estuviera más cocido ya que lo servían, ¡calentaron mi plato! Así que mi salmón ahumado se cocinó también!Originalmente cuando hice mi pedido, expliqué cuidadosamente sobre el huevo.Si no tuviera la manera grosera y antipática de la joven, no me quejaría, pero el servicio antipático de esa persona en particular me ha hecho quejarme.

Always a pleasure settling in San Marino for my Meatball wrap. Crispy salad , comfy atmosphere, chat with the staff. Solid food ,lots of choice ,reasonable price. Rest up ,read the papers , best place in Leytonstone.

Came here for brunch as a group of 6. The choice of decent vegetarian breakfast combinations in the menu is absolutely great, I had a hard time choosing what I want most. I decided to go with halloumi and spinach on toast. After a not too long wait, the food started to arrive and it already did not look as good as I hoped it will. The pouched eggs were made is some kind of container and were mediocre at best. The bread could have been better and in overall the food was a bit disappointing to me. Rather average brunch in general.

Es una bonita pequeña brasserie cerca de la estación de metro. Debido a los comentarios en línea decidimos visitar este lugar. Al llegar nos dirigimos a nuestra mesa. Los miembros del personal fueron muy amables y acogedores todo el tiempo. Menú ofrece varias opciones de diferentes requisitos dietéticos. El plato para compartir es de tamaño generoso, pero el puré de papas debe ser un poco más cremoso. Fue una buena experiencia, recomendada.

Our first time in this lovely cafe. Very rare to find such friendly and smiling staffs. Food was awesome and we will definitely come back with more of our friends.

I went there for a meal with my son. I had excellent food, presentation and taste was absolutely fabulous. Friendly atmosphere and very good service. Well done. I would recommend to friends and others. This was my meal and tasted wonderful.

Greasy spoon with premium prices. Had a special breakfast, struggled to see what was special about it. But unfortunately at the moment there’s no where else in leytonstone for breakfast. Please please please open something else and save us!

El tipo de comida de cafetería que esperaría (decente), pero no en el plazo que esperaría. Hemos estado aquí 2 - 3 veces y cada vez que nos han faltado mucho personal; 45 minutos esperan bacon y huevos revueltos.

Very lively atmosphere. Food was nice. Customer service was fantastic. The food selection was variety. I had steak salmon with chips and salad. Would have preferred steak chips to go with it.

My girlfriend and I visited San Marino and were delighted with our experience. The food was freshly cooked, well presented and delivered to our tables promptly and with a smile. This is an eatery that can service all cullinary needs from snacking to a full blown 3 course meal for 2. We will definitely be attending again.

Wow! Great place to fill up to get your day started. Fresh ingredients, proper home cooked meals. Excellent service, your not hanging around for your meal and when it arrives, nice and hot.

Es casi 1 y cada domingo me voy a comer el desayuno con mi marido y amigo, pero en el último período el servicio es orribile. Hoy ellos han sido tan grosero nos estaba esperando 30 minutos para la comida y nos dan la tostada antes de la comida y cuando la comida que es estaba frío. Nunca se va a ir de nuevo! ! ¡Buena suerte! !

Fui allí con mi hijo y tenía el mejor cordero kleftico en la ciudad. Este y el desayuno que hacen son mis favoritos. Cuando me siento hambre y no sé lo que quiero tengo algunos kleftico en San Marino. Que siempre satisface incluso a los comilones más exigentes. Los propietarios son muy amables y acogedores. Salen de su wau para que su su experiencia tan agradable como sea posible. Excelente servicio para mí. 5 estrellas.

Had breakfast on a Saturday. Over cooked and cold. Rude service from the till woman. She took the attitude that we were an inconvenience. Better food is and better service from rm other local cafe.

I was there with my friends on Good Friday and it was very busy, in my opinion they should have one more waitress just to be on top of the things not running around. The food was very good but if you order steak don’t forget you are in one coffee shop and if it’s very busy probably you will get well done steak not medium rare. I will definitely go back.

Cafetería concurrida pero bien organizado, hasta el punto de tener todos los menús en la mesa mirando de la misma manera. La atención al detalle que sólo se puede seguir a través de la cocina. La comida era fresca y sabrosa y el personal era amable y eficiente.

Il cibo è da fastfood/pub niente di eccelso ma comunque buono. Io ho preso il Fish and Chips è non era male. Lo consiglio se siete in zona e non volete spostarvi di molto. Merita 3,5 su 5 ma non è possibile darlo. Staff molto gentilie e cordiale.

Mi amigo y yo estábamos tan horrorizados por el servicio. El peor servicio que he recibido! La mesa estaba sucia, la camarera era grosero cuando tomar nuestra orden y discutió cuando ella consiguió la orden equivocada, ella le echó la culpa a mí por no pedir la cosa porque ella sabe lo que ella escuchó''. La espera por la comida fue ridículo! Fueron 10 minutos de espera cuando el plato desayuno llegó cuando mi amigo finalmente conseguí la tostada para ir con el desayuno. Por entonces los huevos y bacon había vuelto frío. Y fue de 30 minutos de espera para conseguir el mal y otros 20 antes de hamburguesa la hamburguesa apareció delante de mí.

Solía ser un buen café con excelente servicio al cliente. Ahora ponen sus precios, pero la comida y servicio de calidad bajó. También tenía una experiencia. horrible con su pasta. No estoy seguro de si puedo recomendar este lugar. Si alguien tiene sólo. media hora de esperar para ser servido luego 20 minutos para recibir la mitad de su pedido y al final acabamos comiendo de otro lugar. Muy decepcionado! !

Estoy muy feliz que encontré este lugar hoy día y que hizo que mi especialmente mañana! Este lugar está limpio y acogedor, también hay comida muy bueno comparado con el otro lugar alrededor, obviamente piezas son un poco más altos que los otros, pero vale la pena!

Regresamos aquí después de un tiempo de distancia. Fuimos para lasaña y patatas fritas. Porción masiva de comida, con ensalada fresca. También humus de cortesía. Este es uno de los mejores restaurantes de Londres, cómoda, limpia y volveremos.

La mejor moussaka he tenido aparte de la que tuve en Atenas cerca del Partenón en el año 2000. He estado buscando uno que viene desde cerca y éste que se acercan. Es catalogado como hecha en casa y que sin duda es bastante bajo. Era la primera vez que visitaba San Marino. Volveré, y espero la calidad demuestra consistentemente altos. El moussaka era servido con arroz cocinado a la perfección y un variado ensalada fresca muy bien sazonada.

Been here twice now for a quick breakfast, very affordable, huge menu with something for everybody, friendly staff however some are a little slow. You get what you pay for, if you're looking for somewhere quick and cheap then look no further.

Very good breakfast selection and fairly quick service.I would recommend the Mediterranean village breakfast over the normal ones.The place always seems a bit messy but that might just be the time we usually visit

I've just finished my dinner and it's the right time to write a review.I've been here many times for breakfast and coffee and never remembered of leaving a review before.I've never waited too long for an order and the food is always warm and freshly cooked. My dinner tonight was ready in about 15min. Can't talk much about the staff...they do their job not nice or rude. Never had any interaction other than ordering, saying thank you and paying. I do recommend them for the nice food. Specially good the rice I had.

One of my fave places to eat in Leytonstone. It can seem abit pricey for a cafe, but the food speaks for itself, it is really yummy. Service can be slow but its worth it. I went in my lunch break to get poached eggs on toast with bacon, told the when I entered I was in a rush and it came out within 7 minutes. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. I, for one, am glad this little gem is in Leytonstone.

Waited over half an hour for a bacon roll. Orders were flying out the door but customers in the cafe had a long wait. Manager was rude and gave no apology for the wait. He actually shrugged his shoulders. Awful experience. Went next door for a coffee in the Wild Goose cafe.

This place is lovely the food the staff you can't fault it my friend and myself go there often and would always tell people to try it you won't be disapointed

Food is good but service too slow!Waited 40 minute to have breakfast and it wAs not so busy.I like the place, the dishes and the things they have, even if a little bit expensive, but the service should be improved!

Waiting staff were all slow and grumpy. They made mistakes with our order and didn't care. The food was school canteen quality and that's probably being generous, they couldn't even cook black pudding properly- it was cremated. Don't eat here.

Found this place on the high St and was pleasantly surprised to find the service was very good from native English speaking staff Very clean and friendly staff with good selection of food on the menu and the coffee was first class

Live nearby and went to have a breakfast on a Saturday morning, place was busy, so service was a bit slow, fair enough.I've ordered a bacon egg benedict and was served a salmon egg benedict, I've explained that I'm allergic to fish and couldn't have it. The guy who was serving the table (manager? As he was on his mobile in front of the customers) went back to the kitchen, took out the salmon and brought the plate back, I told him again: I am allergic to fish! Can you please ask a new one? He called the waiter to check who had messed the order up.I understand that you don't need to ask a new one when they send you the wrong order. Specially after saying you are allergic to fish.What about cross contamination? How you do this even after me saying I am allergic to fish?A big No No

Found this place walking in Leytonstone. They serve up a nice 'build-your-own' breakfast at a very cheap price. Service is good.

Today my husband and I went for Sunday roast for a change . I had roast chicken , roast potatoes, and vegetables it was 3 Types of veg it is green cabbage, carrots, and peas with gravy nice and not stingy with it. Lots of gravy and chicken tender it taste great . I had orange fizzy drink Italian. My husband had roast beef , mash potatoes and 3 types of vegetables same as mine and gravy, good amount on it lovely too, he had coffee it was good .

Been coming on and off for years mostly Saturday lunch with our 2 sons. Now they are much older our weekend plans have changed. Returned after a short while and refurbishment complete - lovely booths, tasteful decor and a bar! Fabulous job. Now open until 10 so will certainly try an evening. BTW tend to go for home cooked food Moussaka, kleftico and always enjoy. Staff very welcoming!

I am a customer for around 4 years and i just can't stop going in there...Since the breakfast in the morning till the dinner after work. The food is always fresh and very good with a very friendly and kind staff. We can see it is a very family business.They have done some decorations and place is looking amazing and cosy. From now they are open till late, then we can have also a late drink in there.I just enjoy to spend time at San Marino.

Bardzo miłe i przyjemne miejsce do zjedzenia jak i do wypicia kawy, oczywiście jako deser polecam przepyszne ciasto marchewkowe.

The fact it is full everytime you go in is testament to that. The last time I went in, it suffered from overpopularity so I noted some diners got annoyed as orders were lost. Didn't happen to me so I can't mark them down. Food was good. Service was good. Not a fault. Will come again. I really like their lamb kleftiko. The only gripe is that they sometimes run out!

I just don't see how any complaints can be made about this lovely cafe. There is a huge choice of things to eat and I am always tempted in for breakfast with an orange juice. Service is good and the atmosphere is lovely :)

I came to this restaurant a long time ago and it has now been refurbished. Good value early evening meal , friendly staff and quite a good menu selection. Was hungry and ordered lasagne , chips and salad tasted good and home made and will definitely come back here. also breakfast menu looked good.

I live locally and have been going here mainly on a Sat for breakfast over the last year or so. Yes they have had a re-vamp but the quality is just as good as before. I order the same thing every time and its perfect every time. The staff are friendly and the place is usually spotless. The toilet has been redone to a very high standard which shows attention to detail. Overall if your on Leytonstone High Road stop in if you can but be early as they get really busy cos all us local's are there. It's the best place to start your day.

This was once a place I enjoyed visiting. Now, it seems that even though they have undergone a recent revamp, their standards have slipped. There was a time the service was warm and friendly and they treated you like family, even offering free tea refills. Now, they appear so rushed and under pressure that they neglect the little things. Where the food is still relatively okay, recently I have experienced messy, dripping mugs of tea, bread buttered with the crumbs of old toast, and an impersonal, slapdash service. I have sat waiting for my order while customers who have come in after me are served sooner. I am sufficiently disappointed in this new San Marino that instead I travel further to eat at a cosier cafe. I have given them enough chances out of a sense of local loyalty, but I just don't like how they've changed. Not that I think San Marino is worried about losing old customers. It would seem that their focus is now on attracting a 'hipper' clientele, in line with a changing Leytonstone - and no doubt being the reason behind the revamp. But all that glitters is not gold, and forgetting your previous patrons is not a wise move. A real shame.

Welcoming place with tasty food and low price range. Friendly staff, our waitress Adina was always happy to help and looked genuinely interested in making us enjoy the meal.

Standard caff with consistently nice food and good service! It's not a gourmet restaurant but great for the price and I've never been disappointed. There's a wide range on offer from breakfast to panini to hot dishes.

Being going here for the last 12 years. It has been revamped and looks good. Great for simple but hearty lunches and breakfast at a reasonable price and for a recovery breakfast after a ‘big’ night out. The owners are Turkish and serve good British breakfast and lunch or Turkish / Mediterranean. We have always found the service to be friendly. Always see it full with families and couples including newbies to Leytonstone with a friendly atmosphere

Although its had a revamp outside, the food is very basic. It was nice enough but the staff were not really knowledgable about where their produce came from, so questioning them on gluten free options was a bit difficult.

I really used to enjoy this café. . Thought I would try it with my daughter this morning! Sad mistake.. although everything is very well presented the quality of the food is poor.. sausages almost inedible bacon flavourless and cheap cuts.. beans without ketchup were watery! Best part was the toast crusty loaf!!. Honestly change of deco but they need to think about changing the quality of the products! Quality over quantity anytime!!! Please take note San Marino. . I would not recommend now. Terrible shame

A great caf for all day breakfasts. They got rid of the tea urn a few years ago and their teabags don't make the strongest tea but the food is great and good value too.

We called by to collect a take away cappuccino - very impressed by the menu, prices, friendly staff, the food in the cool cabinets looked very appetising, good value for money coffee and yes, will definitely call again!

I have lived in the area for most of my life and I can honestly say that this café is the best I have been to by far! Me and my family enjoyed all our times going there due to very generous portions of food with a manageable price- with good friendly waiters / waitresses- me and my partner go there on a regular basis and we absolutely love it! And would highly recommend San Marino

San Marino is one of the best cafes in east London and we've been regular customers for about four years. They serve all day breakfasts, typical English grub for dinner as well as Turkish/Mediterranean cuisine. All their food is home made and fresh. The staff are friendly, attentive and very efficient. The cafe is very clean and has a good seating lay out. The prices are reasonable and we always get offered a cup of tea/coffee on the house. Would definitely recommend if you're anywhere in the vicinity of Leytonstone

i tried this cafe bar over lunch to see how well they do. I'm not convinced that they offer value for money nor quality. I paid £8 in total for my lunch which I could have got better service and quality somewhere else nearby. My food was served nearly after 12 minutes and the taste wasn't to my expectations. Perhaps I will try a different type of food next time to see if they do better with a different order.
