San Marino in Lambeth

Ser un día soleado ayudó ya que pudimos sentarnos en el pavimento. Excelente variedad de comida. Queríamos un desayuno cocinado y todas las comidas eran encantadoras. Personal amable y servicial. El gerente no toleraba mendigos para que pudiera comer en paz. Muy recomendable.

Definitely recommend if you're at a loose end in Brixton and need a cuppa and maybe a cake or two - atmosphere is lively and happy, tea is delicious (CBD shot optional!) And, wow, the carrot cake is spectacular. We were only there an hour but it was an excellent location.

We have been in San Marino few times. My other has been a chef for her whole life working in exquisite restaurants in Spain, international cuisines and she is very strict & critic with food and restaurants, however in San Marino we can say they cook the best pasta. We enjoy all the dishes. Affordable prizes. We all love San Marino.

Overall awful experience, please avoid if possible. I’ve eaten here a few times and they always deliver a good quality pizza. However, do not be fooled, I questioned the food hygiene here and recently suffered from a severe illness I beloved linked to the food ordered. I arrived to rude staff, who seemed generally disinterested, I spoke with the manager who was a terrible example and most likely route of the problem. Ive also had issues with Deliveroo, often accepting my order then not delivering or arriving with a poor quality food.clearly disorganise and in new of help, team is poor an management week. Genuinely try to give honest reviews but recently felt let down by a place I had genuinely good food from. I’d advise new customers to look else where where quality is consistent and pizzza is generally better, maybe try your local kabab or papa johns, both will outdo this in current state. Sorry.

My order is so late and when I call the number of the shop it says the number is not recognised. Will not order from here again I can’t even cancel the order and get a refund

Stopped here last night just before the Anthrax gig with a few mates. Friendly welcoming staff and they was playing some Anthrax tunes on the music system :) Next time I am going to a gig I will head here. Thank you

I like the cafe but I am tired of being over-charged. The menu says that tea is £2. I am always charged £2.40. On my last visit, I was charged £6 for two teas. Six pounds! They should either update their menu or stop ripping off their customers.

My boyfriend and I visited for a late breakfast and I ordered a vegetarian full English. Unfortunately there was miscommunication and I received a full English with meat. I went up and asked for a vegetarian one instead and received it promptly, even though they were extremely busy. My boyfriend was allowed to have the full English at no extra charge and Enza (the owner) was so friendly and gave us the best service. May I add that the quality of food is absolutely incredibly at the very cheap prices they charge. My boyfriend says it’s the best pasta he’s ever had. We will definitely be visiting again and look forward to our next meal here.

This little cafe is so friendly, the coffee is beautiful and the breakfast range fantastic. I have a sweet tooth and the pastries are so fresh and the great range will mean breakfast here every day of our week long holiday. The savoury croissants and egg royale enjoyed by my husband and daughter were truly gorgeous and all at a very reasonable price. I highly recommend this gem of a place and it’s only about 20m from the tube.

This place is such a Brixton institution! I used to be cabin crew and have eaten breakfast all over the world but have to say that San Marino does the BEST scrambled eggs you will ever try!!!! The staff are are all lovely but special mention to angel Dorina who found my house keys once and kept them safe for me until the next day when I called to see if they had them. Bravo guys, keep up the good work 😋

WOW what a Gem of a place situated in the corner of the vibrant Brixton market surrounding by all the great local shops and so much more. This is my 3rd visit in recent weeks with a family friend visiting from Devon and my partner who just loved the place. I ordered a selection of pastries and delicious coffee. For main the lovely chicken and salad wrap. A great seating area which is well spaced out and comfortable. There is additional seating downstairs. San Marino has lovely staff who will put themselves out to make sure you have what you need and it's spotlessly clean. I will be visiting again very soon and looking forward to it.

Came here with my partner for a hearty breakfast before a busy day out. We both had a full English which was really affordable and yummy! You get quite a decent amount. We even stayed for a sweet bite after! The iced lattes are fab!

Great local cafe - breakfast is solid, the Paninis are good and the staff always friendly. Good to sit outside in the sun people watching

What a lovely cafe with friendly & amazing staff. We had quite a big order but Dorina & Nick thoroughly looked after us all and made sure we had our orders correct Currently outdoor seating but the food was great from the chicken & mushroom tortellini to the eggs royale. The paninis are great and the salads that come with it go so well. Would highly recommend A lovely place and cannot wait for indoor seating to open up again so we can enjoy a lovely meal out again with the family ;)

Great place, 100% recommend for a nice drink and delicious food, love the fact that they have such a good range to choose from. Visited today for lunch and got the carbonara which I absolutely loved! Extremely helpful and kind staff, I go every time I'm in Brixton and every time have had great and fast service. Good value for money and a lovely atmosphere. Will definitely see me again soon!

Met a friend for lunch after many months. It’s been done up and the food is as good as ever. Recommend the smoothies. Nice staff and nice atmosphere. Value for money.

Después de caminar por el mercado de Brixton, estaba buscando una cafetería para calentarme. San Marino fue el primer lugar que encontré, e hizo el trabajo. El capuchino fue un poco más de lo que he estado pagando. Estuvo bien, pero no creo que haga todo lo posible para detenerme aquí.

An average sort of cafe with good seating inside and out. Pastries were a little soft. Can have all sorts of egg dishes. Full English and variations available. Good for Brixton station etc.

I ordered a full English. On the menu it says Cumberland sausage. When the breakfast came you could tell at a glanice it wasnt a Cumberland sausage. Also the food was to close to Luke warm. Don't know how long it was sitting on the side before it got to our table.They tried to cheap out on the condiments too. They are asking for west end prices but are dipping on the quality. Garfunkel do the real deal full English breakfast for the same price with real Cumberland sausages.Luckily I was with a lady (at least i think she,s a lady) with a face I like looking at so I overlooked these things till now. Mushrooms could gave been of better quality. The Hash brown was excellent though.

La mejor gama de bebidas frías y calientes, desayuno, almuerzo, sándwiches, pasteles y otros bocadillos. El personal es cálido y amable. Saben lo que los clientes habituales quieren pedir. Buenas opciones para sentarse y Wifi. Es un ambiente familiar / comunitario. Un ambiente maravilloso para relajarse.

I like this place but there are a couple of things that I feel are unjust as the prices do reflect west end prices. The ketchup and condiments are of very low quality with very bad ingredients, you would expect to find this type of ketchup and condiments at a fairground attraction or on the side of a motorway, and the next thing is the amount of stamps that you have to collect before you receive your free coffee, a whooping 10 coffies mounting to £20 before your shown gratitude for you loyalty this place is busy and popular just ashame the gratitude wasn’t reflected more in the quality of its ingredients, served to its loyal customers and any passing trade

Mientras visitábamos Brixton, donde crecimos, nos detuvimos en este café para un almuerzo ligero. Fue realmente, realmente bueno. El servicio fue rápido y eficiente, todo el personal fue muy amable y la comida fue excelente, con una excelente elección. Muy ocupados, pero encontramos una mesa afuera y nos sentamos y observamos el ajetreo y el bullicio de Brixton Road, recordando tiempos pasados. Muy recomendable.

Ci siamo recati in questo posto durante la nostra vacanza a Londra... Avevamo desideri diversi:lei voleva fare una classica colazione italiana, io invece...beh,volevo osare! Alla fine, per accontentare entrambi, dopo diverse ricerche, abbiamo deciso di entrare in questo locale, ma non sono stato particolarmente soddisfatto. La colazione inglese era particolarmente ricca:uova, bacon, salsiccia, funghi, pomodori, fagioli e pesce impanato, il tutto accompagnato da 4 fette di pane tostato; la quantità avrebbe reso satolli anche i più famelici, ma la quantità avrebbe deluso anche il meno pretenzioso. Insomma, un 3 scarso. Al pari di quelli che si possono trovare in un discreto bar italiano, invece, secondo la mia ragazza, il cappuccino e il cornetto (vuoto). Insomma, consigliato per chi non vuol rinunciare alla tradizione nostrana, meno per chi invece vuol provare il tradizionale English breakfast. Ah, dimenticavo... La vera sorpresa sono stati i prezzi, veramente modici!

Came here one March morning, the large number of customers a tip off that it might be a better option than the pub a few doors down. I had the traditional breakfast ( In know, sacrilege in an Italian place!! ) & the wife had the Eggs Royale. Food was great, the sausages in my breakfast were particularly good. Coffee was great too. The endless queue of workmen, presumably from some large building project nearby, coming in for coffee & lunch must surely be testament to the quality of the food given the large number of options locally.

Been to this place on two occasions and it seems busy and staff are friendly. I had a coco loco and my friend had a coffee and cake which he said was lovely Service with a smile every time

Food was cold. Is not free range eggs. Taste horrible. Breads was cold and soggy. Just low quality ingredients. Pressed Orange juice is nice and Americano just normal.

Hungover and desperately looking for somewhere in Brixton that does eggs but doesn’t coat them in avocado, we found this place! Had the full English Breakfast , absolutely delicious and hit the spot perfectly. Sausages were delicious and eggs were cooked perfectly and all for under £7 I have nothing to complain about!

Fui allí para tomar un café en un ajetreado domingo por la tarde. Nuestra orden fue atendida rápidamente y el café era muy agradable.

Éramos un grupo grande de miembros de la familia y todos tenían varios pedidos de Desayunos inglés y paninis, tés y chocolate caliente. Puedo decir honestamente que nada era demasiado problema, la señora que nos atendió fue muy atento y la comida era deliciosa. Tuve un pollo, bacon aguacate panini y era muy generoso y sabroso. Vale la pena £5 - sin duda volveré.

With so many chain coffee shops and restaurants in Brixton these days, it's always lovely to visit San Marino for the delicious sandwiches, cakes and coffee. If the weather is good, a table outside is great for watching the world go by.

Went here today for quick lunch with the Mrs and was served very quickly. It got busy very quickly. I had spicy chicken sandwich was nice but was only warm when they warmed it up.

Great family-run coffee shop in centre of Brixton. Staff are slick and organised and soon learn regulars ' orders. Coffee is reliably good and pastries delicious.

We were visiting Brixton and came across this genuine, well established Italian cafe in the centre of the town. Obviously popular as it was extremely busy, but they managed to provide delicious pannini's at record speed. They have a good system of taking orders at the cash desk. Pleasant welcome by the owners.

I will go back for sure, we just went inside for a cup a coffee, was really really nicee. Drinking everyday costa and starbucks this is a different experience and taste .

If you are in search of a legit British brekkie, look no further. This place's lovely staff serves hearty fare for a great price. You won't be disappointed.

This is somewhere I go every now and then for lunch or a late afternoon drink with friends.The hot chocolate is the best in Brixton. Pointless going to Costa or Starbucks. The ciabatta with the breaded chicken is great. I never eat all of it as its so filling so I eat half for lunch and bring the other half home and eat later.The only reason I have not given 5 stars is because the queuing systems and paying systems needs to be worked out a bit better, as there is so much confusion.

I took my Italian parents, that were visiting me here in London, to have breakfast here and in a sunny day it is a very good place to enjoy a typical Italian cappuccino and croissant for breakfast.

I went here as the reviews looked great but the orange hair lady and the blonde lady were so rude. I was amazed. (The two black hair ladies working were fine and actually smiled so think I just had bad luck). I asked for the wifi and got a mutter, an eye roll then she walked off. After my wrong coffee order (a soy cappuccino not hard) was corrected it was actually a okay coffee and good croissant. But not sure I would come back.

Simply the best: tasty creamy cappucino, delicious English breakfast, Jacket potatoes with chicken pesto, yummy pasta, (just some of my favorites :)) offered with a warm smile. I love this place, has something special, no matter the moment of the day.I definetly recommend to all my friends and they come always for a lovely atmosphere, great workers, the best coffee and food!

Girls are really lovely. I was super greedy befire a gig amd tried to have a brownie and a hazelnut hot chocolate... the hot chocolate is super rich and the browbie was amazing!!! Ran all by girls who are great workers and keep the place looking lovely, clean and tidy. Great job girls!!!! Paninis are to die for...

Called here for breakfast when staying nearby. Great choice - superb full English and good coffee sat in the sun. Called again day later had coffee and cake both excellent. They also do pasta dishes and panini which both looked well but I never tried them.

I have been going to San Marinos for three years (daily coffee and sometimes lunch.1. Staff are fantastic. Polite, helpful and welcoming.2. The food and coffee (my chojce of drink) is excellent value for money. More importantly the food tastes fantastic.3. Its my reward before I start work and more importantly its a great treat after a hard days graft.Long may it continue.

I went there with a friend as we ordered a tomato and bri cheese but they brought us grilled paper and cheese !!As I asked I ordered with tomato not grilled peppers she answered me as I was the waiter not a customer!Sorry I won't recommend this at all to anyone as they have very arrogant staff and don't know what how to answer the customers !!

popped in for a coffee, as the reviews were very good.After paying for 2 coffees and a pastel de nata, the waitress came with our incomplete order. When I asked where was my little treat, she replied "we sold out". And when I said that I've already paid for it, she said "I've already told you, we don't have any".Horrific customer lados from a died Blond long haired waitress with glasses. Which doesn't give a s***t about customer service, and goes to moan to another waitress whiteout thinking that I'm just right behind her, and I can listen and understand everything she's saying to her colleague.

Line up to place an order for 10 minutes (whilst someone tries to sell me food)! - the person taking the orders talks to the customers far too much!Get a number and sit outside and wait and wait and wait.I only wanted one coffee! how long can it take?? People with numbers after mine were being served before me!I asked the waitress where my one coffee was and she said it was coming (so is Christmas)! Another 5 minutes and it arrives - a latte with an extra shot - 25 minutes in all!!The coffee was good but the wait was not.They are more interested in serving people who order food!

This is an absolutely wonderful cafe, from full English to the most deliciously cooked pastas! If your in Brixton I would recommend! 10/10

I often come here to have breakfast or lunch. It's a busy place in a great location with outside seating.There are various breakfast options and all offer excellent value for money. The menu is varied - sandwiches, lunches, pasta but I'm a soup addict! And Marino's soups are just the best. Staff are very friendly and service is excellent.It's my first choice of places to eat in Brixton.

We chose this restaurant after reading all the good reviews here! We wanted somewhere to eat before going to Brixton Academy, and it was so convenient! The pasta was such good value - we both chose the penne with chorizo - and were huge portions, and really delicious! The wine was also great value! we had the choice of 'red or white' so weren't sure what we were getting but a bottle of Sicilian Nero d'Avola turned up which was very drinkable! Excellent coffees followed! We couldn't believe what good value it was! Staff friendly and despite a basic interior, it was just what we wanted, so wouldn't hesitate to recommend!

Absolutely love this place. The staff are always lovely and quick with my order. Food is delicious and good value and the coffee is great. You really do get a feel for the 'regular' working people of south London. Sitting outside on a nice morning you see all kinds of 'interesting' folk passing by. Really lovely experience, hope they remain for years to come.

I accidentally stumbled across this amazing place when a friend was late meeting me before a gig. I was looking for somewhere to get some food that I could relax and read a magazine. I don't know the area and just happened to see someone outside eating (they have indoor and outdoor seating which is nice), if it wasn't for that I probably wouldn't have realised they served food! It looked like the perfect spot to grab some dinner, I ordered the pasta pomodoro thinking it would be a safe option, as I wasn't sure what the food would be like. Well what can I say, it was the most amazing pasta I have ever eaten, how is it possible to get a tomato pasta to taste that full of flavour!All the staff were amazingly friendly and helpful, and the prices are super reasonable too. I will definitely be visiting again next time I am in London! :-D

Very friendly and welcoming staff at this excellent family run restaurant in Brixton Road on the edge of Brixtons fantastic market,busy but plenty of seating inside and out when the weather allows perfect poached eggs on the eggs Benedict time after time a great choice of paninis and very good coffee and fresh orange juice along with an impressive full English and great toast we will certainly be back on our next long weekend in the capital

A wonderful place for a coffee and a bite to eat.The food is delicious and there is so much to choose from. Highly recommended are the wonderful paninis and the glorious breakfasts.If you are looking for a great place to fill that empty stomach without emptying your wallet, then trust me GO HERE! you won't be disappointed.Finally, the last part of this review goes to the excellent staff that work there, another reason that makes San Marino one of Brixton's gems.

Cannot recommend highly enough. Stayed in Brixton, while on a mini break to London. Rather than paying inflated hotel breakfast prices a quick Google search through up many suggestions depending on the style of breakfast you wanted. San Marino stuck in my head from these lists. My girlfriend and I decided to walk the high street to see if any cafes appealed to us, despite the building work around the railway bridge this cafe still stood out. Nice seating area outside, ideal for smokers. Once inside, we received a warm welcome from staff and given a menu at the counter to browse. Large selection of all day breakfasts, panini's, sandwiches, pasta as well as tea and coffee. We ordered from the counter and took our seats, hot drinks arrived within 3 minutes and our food arrived well within 10 mins. My coffee was distinguishable in quality and was far nicer than the type you might receive at a high street coffee shop. Despite ordering a fried breakfast it wasn't the sort that repeated on you a number of hours later. Low in oil/grease. We enjoyed it so much on our first visit we made sure to visit this cafe again before the end of our trip, second experience was equally pleasing. Will make a special effort to go here on any future visits to London.

This is a small neighbourhood café serving excellent coffee and snacks. it is bustling and friendly and the coffee much better than any of the well known chains

They have amazing smoothies and coffees! And if you go for the spicy chicken you will start believing in god ;) We only had a week in Brixton and San Marino is what i will miss the most. Lovely staff.

Came hear to eat something in the evening. Ordered two burgers. After delivery found out there was a dark black hair between the fries, also the glasses where dirty resulting in a glass of beer with the foam disappearing in seconds.Very disappointing. Cannot recommend for eating in the evening.

This coffee shop is a restaurant too. It is a gem in Brixton.Family friendly and very warming atmosphere. Look no further than here for a great meal and social gathering.

Remember there is seating in the basement! Hardly anyone uses it! Coffee is so much better than the chain coffee shops. Staff are friendly. Good choice of food, Staff will make fresh food for you very quickly. Can get busy due to it's popularity - prepare to queue at peak times. Oh and there is a reward scheme for coffee purchases - don't forget to ask. Very good also for takeaway.

While working at Brixton recreation centre I visited the shop often to get a coffee and a Panini. the staff are so nice, helpful and often donated food when we organized an event to give to the local community. Their breakfast is particularly great especially on a hangover :).

Me and two work colleagues come here daily as we are working on a job around the corner. We all go for the double breakfast and it hits the spot every time!! The staff are lovely, the manager Dorina is very attentive and very welcoming.We only have two weeks left on our job in Brixton so we are a bit gutted we won't be coming here daily, but we will 100% come back when we can!STRONGLY RECOMMENDED!

I tell you, they serve the BEST coffee in Brixton - maybe London! I've been visiting, daily, for years now - couldn't start my day without it. Lively, friendly atmosphere - hosted by Mario Schifano and his extended family. (Sadly, I was diagnosed as Coeliac a few years ago, so can't partake of their delicious pasties - BUT, they serve various yummy gluten-free options.) Long may they reign....

Staying near by - walked in out of rain and have been back twice again. Great atmosphere - better coffee,expresso,cappuccino than star bucks and selection of fresh pasteries and sandwiches. Also full English breakfast all day. Staff friendly and always cleaning up - love this place. Right by the tube station and on main road by shops. Don't pass it by!

This is a great local spot in Brixton. I stopped in for a Portuguese cream tart - delicious though would have been better warmed to room temperature - and a mid-morning expresso. The deli chest was full of mouthwatering lunch choices which I did not have time to sample. I'll be back--

San Marino is just beside a railway bridge and the main land marks are M&S and New Look shops.It's just on a junction with lots going on, plenty to see, outside seating as well as inside.Good food, great coffee!I come here quite often and have never been let down .
