San Carlo Cicchetti- Covent Garden in City of London, Westminster

I ordered a ravioli with lobster and shrimp. Small and tasteless. The pizza is oval and has the same problem, it is not the best and minimal. The wine list is great.

Absolutely fantastic restaurant for authentic Italian cuisine. The outside of the restaurant does not give any indication of the inside.

Food taste was ok. If you read this before going I genuinely recommend you avoid. The place has a chaotic feel about it. The portion sizes are really small. When you sit down they tell you it’s Italian tapas. Clearly an excuse to just give tiny portions so you can’t complain. If you’re not gonna order at least 4 courses each then enjoy a nice kabab and chips on the way home. I spent £40/head and felt hungry when leaving.

Awful place do not go. Rude incompetent staff, gordy/tacky deco with an atmosphere to match. Food I wouldn’t give to my dog, one lobster stick the size of my finger, lots of dishes served cold and linguine was definitely not homemade, more likely from the discount isle in Asda. The first clue was the two women furiously trying to cut their pizza that seemed to be made out of a mixture of concrete and rubber, I wish we were as lucky as they were with the food. All that in mind the price is downright robbery and the small wine selection is as overpriced as it is limited. The best thing was the cocktails we had in the French restaurant round the corner. Do yourself a favour and walk straight past this miserable excuse for pizzeria.

This spot was okay. It was a good choice if you were going to a show nearby, as they were fairly quick to bring food out. However, the service wasn't great, and the food was mediocre. Some dishes were much better than others, the small plates were pretty sad, the pastas were better.

Appalling. Tiny portions. Accustomed to traveling to Italy and eating Italian food, I couldn't believe it. We ordered fish wrapped in prosciutto and literally, it was 2 finger food sized bites, instead of a main dish. And hard too... And some bolognese noodles the size of an appetizer. I don't mind paying a lot if it's good and of quality. They just wanted to bring you the most expensive water, without asking. Almost £6 a bottle of water. The food also arrived cold. I don't recommend it. We dined at many other excellent restòs in London.

Pre theatre lunch with a lovely friend. Helpful and informative staff enabled us to choose a perfect selection of small plates - all different and extremely delicious! Such a great idea and exact what we wanted. We loved it 😊

Excellent food and service. Decided to have pre-theatre dinner here and it didn't disappoint. Dishes are served tapas style and while smaller than your average main, perfectly filling and very tasty. Waiting staff are friendly and attentive and always happy to help.

Absolutely loved it...after a very hot day walking London after marathon we decided to try Covent Garden. So pleased we decided to eat here. The food was so good. We chose the 4 dishes between two of us plus olives & garlic bread. Absolutely delicious.

Lovely service, though suggestions of 3-4 plates for a party of 2 is entirely unnecessary. Glad we didn’t listen and only ordered 2. Chicken was lovely, our pasta dish was not enjoyable. My wine was way too warm, well above what would be expected. Wouldn’t go back.

We went on a Tuesday evening. We paid £85 for 3 small plates: ham and cheese croquette, lobster pasta (…4 raviolis), steak and frites. And a cocktail. The food is okay, but small portions for the price.

We ordered 3 different dishes for 2 of us. Portions were perfect size to share different types of dishes. Each dish had a different sauce. The veal meatballs were great! The different pastas were memorable!! Rupok was the best waiter on our trip to London and even Paris. He was great!

Tasteless meal. Announcement of the truffle apart from charging for it, no presence of real truffle. Address to avoid. Tourist flee. Londoners don’t eat there, that’s for sure. Go to happy next door you won't be disappointed

What a lovely place! The staff were lovely, the food was delicious. It is a small plate restaurant to share but I thought that made it even better as I was going to struggle to choose anyway but that didn't s make it a little more expensive but worth every penny. Will definitely be back

I love this restaurant and this is my third or fourth visit. The food is fab and the service excellent. Sometimes there is a wait but it's worth it in my view. It's very atmospheric and bustling as well.

45 minutes (and I counted) just for a starter is absolutely crazy!! Of which I even had to order as a starter to begin with; the Italian restaurant follows a "tapas" procedure rather than a 3-course meal (we have had main dishes coming before starters in the past). This time I had my mother, who was with me, eating and finishing her plate and I was still waiting for my food. I even had to send it back since I received a pasta dish with barely any sauce! Mother also ordered the gorgonzola gnocchi, of which she said did not have any gorgonzola. I used to love this restaurant, but we are questioning whether to return or not. We are quite disappointed.

I visited the restaurant a couple of days ago in our visit to London. My Uber driver recommended it to us and we decided to give it a try after going to the Mamma Mia show. It was the best decision. Food was excellent, a taste of Italy in each bite. Their service is OUTSTANDING! Stefan and Noemí made us feel at home and as part of their family. All of them at Cicchetti was part of this memorable experience, but the best news is that they are coming to Miami and we can’t wait to visit them here. If you go to Covent Garden, London go for it!

We randomly found this fabulous restaurant after attending a theatre performance, and we're lucky enough to get two seats at the bar, which you can eat at. The staff are wonderfully friendly and the food is authentically Italian and so delicious. I would highly recommend a visit

Thank you very much for this memorable dinner time. We had a various selection of food: pizza, bruschette, lasagne, mixed grill, arancini….also wine and other cocktails. We got a very friendly, welcoming and entertaining service from everyone. A big thank you especially for Stefan to make my partner’s birthday so special.

This restaurant was had such lovely decor from the minute I saw it. The staff were so friendly and very accommodating. We didn’t know it was a tapas style restaurant but we were over the moon about this. The food was 10/10. The Lasagne Al Forno was to die for we were still talking about it the following day. The carbonara and pizzas were also amazing.

The restaurant suggests 5-6 dishes sharing for 2 people as they are presented as “tapas” style dishes. However, I find that to be too much. The flavour was nice. The price was on the higher side for the portion size and quality. However, the restaurant had a nice atmosphere. The bill came to about £340 for 6. And you would need a £10 deposit per person to make a reservation.

The service was fast but the welcome at the door was not very friendly. The fish was overcooked, raviolis came in a superfat but not very tasty sauce. Scallops were ok and the surdough with beef was good. Went looking for some better aftertaste after the dinner.

Agreed plates come out as they’re ready. Unfortunately they forgot my daughters meat dish so after we queried where it was it eventually arrived the veg and potatoes ordered to go with it were freezing. My grandsons meal they actually brought wrong dish so had to wait again for that. My lamb chops and the beef cheek were tasty but the pasta dishes were very poor. The meal was ruined due to above. When I was asked by the deputy manager how was the meal I said it was ok. He arrived straight back with the bill and said we need your table!! I hadn’t asked for the bill and we still had drinks. How rude was he no apology or even to ask what could be improved. One waitress with long fair curly hair was very good. On the way out I pointed out to him in front of his manager he had been rude still no apology just well how can I put it right. You cannot I will never go back!

Great food and wine. Italian tapas, great concept. The gorgonzola gnocchi is fantastic. Service is very good, helpful and friendly, special mention for Noemi who looked after us brilliantly.

I booked this for my son's 15th birthday earlier this week. We were gong to the theatre hence wanted somewhere to go which looked nice and was reasonably priced. The photos and menu online looked like they fit the bill. However, once we sat down and had ordered drinks, the waiter brought the menu and told us that the mains were small to medium in size hence it would be advisable to order two or three mains each! We were gobsmacked! With each main at £13 to £16 each this would suddenly become a very expensive place to eat. My kids ordered two mains but my wife and I had only one. I had never heard of this before and nothing was mentioned on the website; it was now too late to go elsewhere and I didn't want to cause a stir as it was a celebratory meal. Sure enough, when the pizza arrived, it looked like a starter-size. This place must rely on pre-theatre guests and not repeat-customers. I certainly won't be going back, and by the astonished looks of other diners, nor will many other people - shame on you!

This was one of our worst dining experiences in any restaurant ever. This is a restaurant to avoid. If you’ve ever wondered what it feels like to be in a high-speed dining experiment, look no further. From the moment we stepped inside, everything felt like it was on fast-forward. The entire time we were in the restaurant it felt like the staff were trying to set a new world record for flipping tables. It was beyond awful and was not cheap - £186 for dinner for two people. From the moment we sat down, a waitress stood hovering over the table expecting us to order within seconds. Within 11 minutes of ordering our food - three courses - antipasto - starters and mains had been pushed onto our small table. Throughout our meal, staff cleared plates we were still eating from. No fresh cutlery. This restaurant suggests it has a tapas concept and you are told that all the food will arrive together or as soon as prepared - however the concept simply doesn’t work. Dishes aren’t tapas sized, so unless you are prepared to eat your mains cold you have to leave your starters half eaten. The staff hover like vultures clearing plates even if you haven’t finished. It is no more than an excuse to get you out the door as soon as they can. We sat down at 8:20pm. We placed our order at 8:30pm and by 8:48pm all of the food we ordered had been served and cleared from our table. It was shocking. We had ordered a glass of champagne to accompany are antipasto and a bottle or red for our main meal. When we finished our champagne all our food had already been served, so we ended up leaving the restaurant with the bottle of wine in our pocket. Unbelievable!! If you enjoy the thrill of eating at great speed so you vacate your table within 15 -18 minutes of sitting down ( this is not an exaggeration) and leaving before you’ve even digested your first bite, this is the place for you. Otherwise, go somewhere that actually lets you breathe between courses. This meal cost £186 for two people!!!! Was the food good? Well yes it was actually. It was excellent, but you don’t enjoy it as it is all so rushed. Never have we left a restaurant so disappointed and furious. Would we recommend. Absolutely not. If you do have the misfortune to eat here then make sure you choose one course only. In that way you can take your time. Pessimo.

Excellent Italian restaurant located in the Covent Garden area. The setting is elegant and refined, the service is very professional and friendly. Prices remain reasonable for the area. The dishes are good but quite classic.

Everything just absolutely amazing, food, staff, service, ambience. Menu choice , so much to choose from. Seafood starter completely different, lemon sole best ever.

We love San Carlo in Birmingham so didn’t think twice about booking here. We left disappointed- the tapas concept does not work at all - it just means the kitchen bring out food as it’s ready - so you order a meat dish which needs sides, the meat comes out hot but by the time the sides appear the meat is cold. Dishes that are obviously appetisers amongst the order are brought out at the same time or even after ‘ main dishes’. The men in suits throw their weight around and create chaos whilst the charming, hardworking staff in white tops get trampled on but do a great job. The wrong risotto was brought to the table - it was sent back and the suited waiter felt the need to print off the order he had put through to the kitchen and show it to us to demonstrate the kitchen was at fault and not him - very unprofessional and as front of house should take responsibility for errors and apologise and not point the finger at other staff. Wine was ridiculously expensive. We will not be returning but will keep going to San Carlo in Birmingham with professional front of house staff and great food served as it should be - hot with sides at the same time.

We visited here for dinner after attending the lyceum (which is only a short walk away). We were told the menu was more like tapas and should order a few dishes however we found we had way too much food doing this and it felt a little over whelming! I would definitely recommend just going for one dish unless ordering appetizers. The food was ok when it arrived, I have personally had better dishes for San Carlo in Manchester and Leeds but it was still nice 👍. The seating is tight (obviously it's London so expected it tbf). The cranberry juice I ordered was very small, so wouldn't recommend ordering that if your thirsty!

First of all after having been to Osteria del Mare down the road and feeling disappointed not only with the service and the food coming in Chichetti we felt welcomed and in on another world this place is run so well . The food was excellent the service was the best and the team in there make you feel good . We will keep returning

The thing I love about Cicchetti is, it’s just so damn beautiful. And the food is good and they have a great selection of wine. The team are friendly and accommodating. What’s not to like?

This is such a lovely little place. It was our first time here, so we didn't know it was a tapas style restaurant. However, we made it work for us, and it was amazing. The food was spectacular. My sisters carbonara was a big hit with us, as well as the tiramisu - it was just so light and creamy, it was heaven on a plate! Service was amazing as well. It is definitely a bit more upmarket to what we are used to, but it's still reasonably priced considering it's in the West End. My only complaint is when they offered us water, we didn't know it was chargeable, but as I said it was more upmarket than where we normally eat, so maybe this is a normal thing in those types of places? I would come back here, though, now that I know what to expect, I can budget a bit higher to experience more of the menu.

One of the worst experiences in 15 years in London, the waiter who had taken my reservation was very polite and professional, when he finished the shift nothing was understood anymore, absolute disorganization, wrong dishes, lack of knowledge about bottles of wine, dishes arrived raw after 45 minutes of waiting, negative experience, and at the end after having paid and asked to remove the uneaten food as it was not cooked and a dish had not even been asked for by us.... Being told that it can happen that customers take possession of objects that are not theirs, because they don't have a good clientele... only after sending 2 emails was I contacted as the object had been placed in the safe when the restaurant was closed. And no one knew it... I wouldn't go back to a place like this, if you're looking for San Carlo cuisine, go to ISOLA, or go for cicchetti in Knightsbridge

After living in Italy, we chose Cicchetti for a special night. From the time we walked in, we knew we had chosen wrong. Our waiter was rude and quite quick with us. He was not happy that we had not chosen to look at the expensive wine list. He recommended at least 3 plates per person - and talked down to us as if we knew nothing about Italian food and starters. We had to ask for water twice and never saw the same waiter twice. Someone different brought our food after we saw her walk around with our starter, trying to deliver it to a different table. So it came cold. Our carbonara was not good - cold and sticky - too much egg - My truffle ravioli was saturated in cheese and way too gluey. I would not be coming back.

What a find, for a very busy Saturday night we thought the service was excellent, the food was delicious, great bustling atmosphere. We booked ahead, I would recommend. Unexpected menu change; the whole menu was changed to tapas and came out as it was ready; we booked, and would have preferred the regular menu. So that was our only gripe. Food was lovely in any case.

I highly recommend this Italian food place. My husband had a magnificent lasagna and I had some dreamy papardelle. Everything is delicious and the quality-price ratio is very good. I recommend

We had dinner at this restaurant on New Year's Eve and I must say that we had a great time! The Italian food is really excellent, however it is served in the form of "cicchetti", i.e. fairly small portions of food, the courses recommended for 2 people would be fine for a single person so I recommend taking 4-5 courses if you are 2 people. The Italian staff is very kind and friendly, we immediately felt at home. The only flaw is that it is a little expensive, but consistent with the very high prices found in London. In any case I would happily return!

We’ve been to Cichetti many times and always loved it. This time service felt very rushed. We ordered 10 dishes between 5 of us and ended up just holding some because there was no room on the table - they delivered everything at once. We had a bottle of wine, champagne and other drinks. We get sharing desserts and some more wine and 2 minutes later we’re told we need to vacate the table. Apparently we only have 1.5 hr for the table which we weren’t informed about and is unrealistic for a party of 5. It’s interesting they didn’t realise they needed to kick us out *before* we ordered desserts and more wine. We asked what we’re supposed to do about our full glasses of wine, eventually they offered to move us to another table of 5 (??) where we would have 15 minutes max to finish our drinks. We had to rush out the door and didn’t even have time to use the toilets. Overall it was a really weird experience and wouldn’t expect that from a restaurant of this caliber.

Fantastic way of eating and trying various dishes. We shared 7 plates between us (husband and 5yr old) and each was equally as delicious. Would highly recommend the lamb cutlets, lobster ravioli & duck ragu pasta. My son enjoyed the pizza and zucchini. Good selection of cocktails, I had the tequila cocktail with candied ginger, very nice indeed. Love that the resturant is also family friendly - It's often very difficult to find a chic polished resturant with high-quality food that is also relaxed and welcoming of families with young children.

Very busy restaurant, if anything, tables felt a little too close together but other than that, food was great & service was great, with a smile.

Food was excellent, well done to the chefs really nice pizza, pasta and cured meat board was great however service was a big let down. We were 15 minutes early than our booking time, we said we could have a drink at the bar but we were offered a space instead which was nice. When we were seated nobody cared to explain us how cicchetti worked so we were listening to the next table who arrived about 10 minutes after us, the waiter was explaining them- so we eventually ordered and enjoyed our food and were having the remaining of our drinks, another waiter came to us and said he has other reservations waiting to be seated and it had to be our table. We said we were still having our drinks literally finished eating! Bh the way total time we were there was just over one hour- not even close to two hour slot!! And the table next to us who arrived 10 minutes after us were still having their starters so God knows how it would take them to leave! We paid and left on the way out I made a comment to the main host girl, her response was they allocate 1.5 hours for a table of four people- Nobody has told us this time slot besides it took 30 minutes for us to work out what to order and order our first drinks so we were expected to eat and drink in 30 minutes like in Maccies- it was not a nice experience, will not rush to return it is such a shame as the food was delicious- thanks to the Chefs

We tend to come every year to this place. One thing to bear in mind that the dishes on the menu are not enough for one person, you need to order 2-3 dishes per person. So bear this in mind that when they cost getting on for £20 each, or more, then this is quite a high-end restaurant. I would agree it's kind of worth it, with quality of food in mind. But some plates can be surprisingly small, and unless you’re a regular here then you don’t know, so you kind of have to order lots of food to make sure you have enough. I’ll admit this is slightly stressful, I’d prefer to order 1 dish for each person (usual way of doing things in a restaurant eh!) and then you know you have enough. I’d also mention that the restaurant is a fair size, but that you are crammed in like sardines a bit, which also takes the edge off it. Oysters let it down for me this year, I’ve had better tasting ones previously from Waitrose, but all other meals were top quality. Fish is good. Beware you might have to book a month or more in advance, don’t expect to walk in off the street.

Came here for an anniversary dinner and was quite disappointed… as soon as we entered there was a waitress at the front door who completely ignored us. She was extremely rude and we appeared to be an inconvenience to her waiting to give our reservation name. She rudely told us to move out of her way with unwelcome glares as she grabbed menus from the front door where we were stood. When we she finally came back she took our booking which we had told them in advance that it was an anniversary. She didn’t bother to look at anything to congratulate (great customer service lol) and her face was like thunder. We were seated at a table and menus thrown down and told these are the specials before she turned her back and walked away.The next waiter was lovely and explained the menu to us. When giving the order another waiter told us we couldn’t order the 5th dish as it was “too much carbs” and to order something else. This is extremely rude and I don’t know what our carb intake has to do with someone taking our order if we are paying for the food. When eating, wrong plates were brought to our table which we had to let them know it wasn’t ours. The servers didn’t look really they knew where they were taking food. After we had finished 4 of our plates we had to wait another 10 minutes for our last plate which was all ordered together. Finally got the bill and thanked the server who was in a suit and was lovely at the start but informed him of the awful customer service we had received as our welcome. He was apologetic but then to see the same women rush over to him and laugh as we left. This place has really great potential however the staff were below par…

Cicchetti chain never disappoints. From food to the staff, this is one of the most consistent chains in London. I know I can always count on them for great Italian food.

The prices are too high (like many restaurants in London.) The cuisine is of very satisfactory quality but: The service is not good at all. It was difficult to be installed correctly in the restaurant. They explained to us a strange concept where our orders arrive when they are ready but not necessarily at the same time… So one watches the other eat and then the other way around? 🤔 How do they do it in other restaurants? We spent dinner in a din where the staff was more busy setting up for the next day by slamming glasses on the tables, instead of taking care of the customers present. For dessert I order a “homemade” Tiramisu (as it is written on the menu: the waitress replies in an arrogant tone that everything is “homemade” here! So why write it on the menu, instead of thinking about it for the customer who pays dearly for their dessert...? And to eat it: a fork! Instead of thinking, do your mise en place correctly: for dessert we also add a spoon! Someone brings me a bill that is not mine... So much for my last evening in London… 🫣

Avoid avoid avoid …. Staff pleasant and atmosphere good but food just awful. Ordered and 2 out of 4 dishes came 20 minutes later. One arrived 40 minutes later and another 45 but missing sides dish that came after all had eaten. The dishes were basic and chef added no flavour. One returned as inedible - tomato on pasta with seafood just dumped on. The broccoli arrived just as we were thinking about dessert. When explained to staff the manager who was obviously in bad mood just walked away and declined to replace or refund. Full bill arrived when asked without any compensation or consideration. Table opposite of family complained too and seems no action taken. Would have better to have gone to one of the usual Italian franchises. Let a tip: get rid of the chef!

Only allowed to stay for 1hr 30, it made the whole experience feel so rushed. We felt pressured from the waiters to order quickly as they need us in and out within the time frame. The restaurant was super busy and everyone felt crammed in. Honestly I don’t blame any of the waiters/chefs/staff for the experience, but there needs to be a change in the business’ running approach. Right now it feels like a massive cash-making turnstile of a business, rather than a restaurant prioritising its purpose of providing customers a great experience with some authentic Italian food. Customers should be allowed to stay a minimum time of 2 hrs and there should be less tables in there to make it a much more pleasant experience for the customers and I’m sure the waiters/waitresses too.

I have been to the Cicchetti Knightsbridge around 2 dozen times and is excellent for atmosphere, food and service. I thought Covent Garden would be the same and took some friends who had never experienced Cicchetti. It was embarrassing the food and service was terrible. Infact the table table behind us also agreed with our sentiment. It was so bad that the sides arrived when we were ready to pay the bill. Out of 4 of us 2 of couldn't eat the rubbish they served. The only good thing there was what came out of the bottle. Don't bother ...go to Knightsbridge or Picaddily. The manager there was rude and looked pissed off the whole time

I booked a table for four for last night on the 1st November when we arrived a little early they were getting table one ready which is right near the bar and entrance. The restaurant got very busy. I spent my whole visit being knocked by people waiting for tables at on stage we were surrounded by people waiting for tables that you could not see the bar It took 15 to 20 minutes to get an order in and had to ask three times for our drinks most of the food was good they call it small plates which they are. on one occasion I kept getting hit by a very wet back pack from a gentleman waiting for a table. We ordered another round of drinks and one gin and tonic came in a chipped glass. once dessert was served they gave us the bill while still eating and brought the card machine telling us you only got the table for 90 minutes never asked if we need anything else. We pointed out that it took so long to be serviced that the 90 minutes rule was unfair and that we was not prepared to buy the service charge. Give the manager is due he did come back and sorted the bill telling us they were very busy due to a large Christmas Party. Just a thought if your lucky enough to get a booking of that size. May be either don’t take normal booking and don’t take walk ins. They is no way that the amount of people standing around us had booking for the tables not used for Christmas party

Great restaurant in the center of Covent Garden. Top customer service when we arrived, but which was unfortunately diminishing as the restaurant filled up. Lovely food, but due to the service we didn't have time for dessert before the show.

Great Italian "tapas" restaurant. All our selections (pasta, fish, pizza) were excellent. Service was good and prompt.

As me and my family walked in, we were welcomed with an up-high and warm atmosphere with an amazing, humorous and professional staff, and as we sat down we were given an introduction to the concept of tapas. As we ordered the food and the wine, we noticed they left the bottle next to their cleaning products, which gave us a very negative outlook on their handling of alcohol. We ordered 8 dishes, including pasta, oysters, pizza and fish. The fish was good with proper seasoning, the oysters fresh and delightful but the pasta was underwhelming due to the undercooked sauce on all the dishes except the ravioli. The salad and pizza on the other hand saved the day with their freshness and crispy and thin dough. Overall an okay experience, very much worth it for a dinner with multiple people.

We visited for an early dinner. Two staff members spoke in a different language between themselves when they brought our water over which was extremely rude. Calamari was very dry and we appeared to get the left over bits as we had more batter than actual calamari. The mains were not any better, the veal milanese was very dry and brittle. We found it easier to eat it with our hands! The meatballs were few and far between..4 meatballs on a cold bed of pasta. Overall the food was cold and not of a high standard. A shame really as the restaurant was not very busy. The interior was very nice but most definitely a case of style over substance. I did feedback to the manager when we left who offered us a glass of prosecco each . Not what you would expect from a hospitality based establishment. Very disappointed.

Awesome. Love the Italian tapas style. Great food and wine and many thanks to all the staff in accommodating our demands. Had a wonderful time and will be back

Italian tapas? Yes, please. All the food was really outstanding, we struggled to agree on a winner, but the Ravioli with truffle and parmesan won in the end, that's possibly the best thing I've ever eaten, really divine. Buzzy atmosphere (you need to book!) and fabulous service. Even a good choice of zero alcohol drinks and a wine list that pleased my wine boffin Brother. Outstanding, very much worth a visit.

Our server, Bambina was amazing. So friendly and her knowledge along with her recommendations were spot on. Unfortunately she was on break when we left so we couldn't thank her personally but wow. A total asset to this restaurant. Now the food. Soo so good. Perfect portions and the flavours were awesome. We had beef cheek which was divine and the Sea Bass was the best I'd ever had.

Wow, this place was pumping!!! Great Atmosphere, I had a hour before my show so popped in for lunch, I was accomodate at the bar as there was not a seat to spare !!!, food came in a timely manner, and being tapas I thought the portions would be smaller, but easily I could of shared my lunch there was plenty. The beef ragu succulent and tasty and the ribbons of pasta silky and delicious, pizza bread was perfect, crusty but soft melt in the mouth, and hot off the press from the pizza oven. And the crumbed cheese ( forgotten what it’s called) was rich and tasty. The only disappointment was I couldn’t eat it all. The bar staff and where well informed with the menu and wine and where extremely courteous and professional. Loved it !!!

Marmite or Honey! What do I mean you will either like or it will not be for you so decide carefully before booking which is essential. Marmite. Noisy, rushed, packed, corridor, plates come erratically not in any order whatsoever. No bar £60 pp+ Honey: italian 🇮🇹 spoken. Well placed, iconic. Good pizza and pasta. In a rush. So you decide

The food is not that good like before. Too sour and too salty. There is no special dish to recommend or the best combination food

We stumbled across this online looking for somewhere to eat. We struggled to get a table everywhere we looked before finding this wonderful place. On arrival we found out it was like an Italian tapas and you order multiple dishes that are brought out to you as and when they're ready. I was a bit worried about this having not realised this before, but it was absolutely amazing! The food was absolutely beautiful. Probably the best Italian food I've had in the UK. The service was 10/10. I wouldn't hesitate on booking again and look forward to coming back when I'm next in London.

Not good place for vegans as they struggle understanding what it means and it’s almost 2025 according to my watch. Had to speak with 3 people. 2 of them said nonsense and were shamelessly lying to my face instead of saying they don’t know. For example that the cream pasta can be made vegan. Another one said the Caesar salad can be made vegan without the chicken. Eventually they said the chef will make me pasta based on olive oil and vegetables. I got pasta in tomato sauce. It was good but not what I ordered. The selector Italian bread was below any standard. Very dry and felt cheap (or it was expensive and bad or maybe it’s just me not liking eating dry bread). My non vegan friends did not enjoy the food as well. The pizza was mainly thick tough and looked like a starter. The avocado salad we ordered (2 actually) did not have pomegranate in it and needed olive oil and balsami. My friends tried to order 2 cakes and they ran out after they took the order. They give them tiramisu on the house which was nice. The service was not great at all. The atmosphere is a bit dated to my taste and it’s too busy even to go all the way to the restroom (not clean by nice smell). They urged us to leave even though when booking we were not told it’s limited and then I had to wait standing at the busy entrance just to get my coat. At least I had a great company on that evening.

Clarifying that the treatment of the staff was very good, very close and kind, the service in terms of time, was fatal. For the food (bolognese pasta and carbonara) we waited 40-45 minutes and for the dessert 25 minutes. Which has made the experience not so good. Very friendly waiters.

Everything was perfect. Italian small plates are a great idea!!! Garlic bread, ceasar salad, pollo milanese, risotto, and fried zucchini. So good. Our selected wine was just ok (pinot grigio). The service was great. Food started slow and came out fast at the end. Excellent!!

Visited San Carlo Cicchetti on two occasions. The first time we were happily accomodated, although a late evening booking, and experienced excellent meals. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the food and two of our group had a 'seafood stew' which were enormous and contained a large variety of beautifully cooked seafood. Our second visit was for lunch and I had monkfish with a seafood sauce which was absolutely delicious. The sweet was a 'sharing dessert' - a selection of small portions of every sweet on the menu; they were all terrific. All of this along with very good wine and friendly, efficient service has ensured that a third visit is guaranteed.
