The food was not cooked. The sausage was still pink and the chips were not cooked throughout. The gravy was clumpy and tasted awful. We didn’t get what we wanted. The steak pudding didn’t taste right.

AWFUL. Food was 25 mins late than expected. It come very poor the sausages looked awful and tasted even worse. And it was expensive for what we got. Disgusting me and my partner literally ate a few bites and give it to the dog. No good I would NEVER go back there again

We were on our way home from work, tired after a long day and not really feeling like cooking. We had driven past this Fish & Chip shop a number of times, but knew of nobody who had visited. Tiredness made our mind up. I have to say the service was quick & polite. The portions were absolutely massive (I do not have a problem with big potions as I like my food), but these were huge! Well cooked, well seasoned & tasted divine. It was a good choice & we will certainly use them again.

Called in for some chips, regret will not be visiting again. Found chips to be quite soggy and greasy. Shop wasn't busy even at lunch which says it all.

We recently moved to Bryn and it's a short walk (up a hill!) to get to Sam's but it's downhill on the way down so you feel like you've burned a few calories and earned your fish supper! Having only had a takeaway from here the once I can only go on my one experience. Staff are lovely, the place seems popular with locals, they don't scrimp on the chips (proper chippy chips!) and the fish was lovely and moist on the inside with a perfect crispy batter on the outside. I don't eat a lot of fish & chips - it's a rare treat - but I know exactly where to come for that special treat!

Visit here often as it is convenient. Today there were no stirrers for drinks, was offered a straw. A few weeks ago I visited twice and there were no knives to butter fruited bread, was offered a spoon instead! Tables also left dirty for quite some time.

Came in yesterday with my partner to get away from the rain and the service was next to none. I didn’t get the girls names but both had dark hair (one younger and one a little older). Both very chatty and asking about our day, sometimes it’s nice to be in and out without making conversation but it was a lovely experience. I wish we had a store in Scarborough!! We ordered 2 coffees and they were both lovely. I have read mixed reviews of this place but was not disappointed! I would have wished there was abit more option with the goodies but they still looked very tempting 😊

Ordered chicken, bacon, cheese and mayo panini expecting them to have a piece of chicken, rasher of bacon and cheese. Service was slow and we were very disappointed when the food finally arrived. It was a soggy bottomed panini filled with mayo, chicken and ham slop which smelled and tasted processed. I couldn't eat the soggy bottom and complained before we paid the bill. I showed the Supervisor/cook the floppy Panini and her response was 'Oh sorry about that' but we were still charged £19. At no point did any of the staff ask was all okay with the food. Several tables needed clearing whilst staff were stood around looking bored and we saw a group of three sit down at a dirty table but get up and leave. We have eaten there before but won't be returning.
