Sam's Chicken in Birmingham

Popped in the shop today for 1 piece of chicken it was cold and had no taste never will i go back again absolutely vile i wouldn't give there chicken to a dog let alone a human being!!

Banging food, and speedy service.

I went in store to order a devil's box and they told me my order was ready and then let me go when I got home It was the wrong order they gave me and when I tried to call them it just kept saying line busy

Order with a 35/40 delivery time. After over a hour I phoned and was spoken to rudely and told it was on its way. After another heated call telling me to come check for my order and it had already left nearly 2 hours after I placed the order I had a notification that my order had been cancelled due to lack of drivers. DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM. THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF AND ABUSE YOU ALL INC IN THE PRICE OF NO FOOD. YET TO RECEIVE A REFUND !!!

The food was warm and delicious. I didn’t like the staff’s answer to my question about drinks (the answer was – look what’s there), because I already saw the drinks but did not hear a list of drinks from the staff. If I just wanted to look at the drinks and choose, I wouldn’t ask))

This is f-up.I order food 21:00 to deliver 22:20 shop works till 23:00 true just eat,at 22:18 I received message my food will be wit me soon and then at 22:20 they cancelled order,why last minute calculation you knew already before that you will not deliver.its stupid you cancel on last minute f- u.

Order was incomplete. No dips that we paid £1.20 each for. And no drinks either. The food was cold, too. All in all disappointing. The burger was nice, even though cold.

Customer service here is definitely appalling... came here as I think the hotwings are tasty for the price however previous time I came here they told me that Sam's chicken had ran out of .. you guessed it chicken! Then this time have been told they don't do seasoned fries although they had them last time , girl was rude and said only if we order through the just eat app so we said we would and come back to collect only to be told no we don't do them although they clearly did last time absolute time wasters

unbelievably useless! ordered food on just eat, app said food was delivered but nothing was received. Tried calling the restaurant and no one answers! stay clear of these cowboys!!!

Just baught food for kids Asked for 3 piece chicken paid for for 3 and when get home it’s only 2 piece . Not the first time

AVOID!!! If there was a Zero Star i would definitely have given a Zero star! Ordered Chicken Rice, it was very cold! The chicken was dry and old as well..! Never going back again.

I made a food order through uber eats at 9:15 PM. They cancelled my order, saying they close at 10, even if closing time is at 11! My order was also very simple to make, just a Club Max Box meal. I got no refund for their cancellation. I called them to ask them why they can't send me a burger and some fries in 45 minutes, especially that my address is 5 minutes away from them, but got no rational answer. i used to order all the time from them but because of the lazy employees that canceled my order today I will never order again

My order was totally an error I ordered loaded rice with chicken I received loaded fries, I ordered blaze burger meal I received chicken burger uncooked, 12 wings meal with 4 portion of fries 2 portion of fries was missing . Customer service poor and undfriendly. No receipt on payment by cash . It used to be a very good place to eat and buy food.i do not recommend or double check your order before you leave.

The food was really cold and undercooked. The chicken wings were too old.

Burger was falling apart overload with undercooked chicken same with the undercooked strips had to throw away half of the food

the food is really good! especially the wings which you should really try sometime. the staff are nice as I remember a time where I'd lost my voice and one of the workers were really sweet trying to hear me which I am very thankful for. The reason the atmosphere is a 3 though is because I remember I went And there was a man making burping sounds. nothing was done And he made alot of customers very uncomfortable (though some laughed.) but if you just check up on regulating that, all else is fine!

Dont eat here unless you want guaranteed food poisoning. Thank me later

Wish I could give this 0 starts. Ordered food for my kids and what I received was just a slop all over the place. Fries had spilled into the bag. Wraps weren't even wraps. When I called and showed pictures they said there's nothing we can do as you have the food. Drove back to the store to show them and the place was disgusting didn't even bother getting a replacement. Avoid

Used to be really good, used to go there all the time now it just dreadfull.

Horrendous, as I was in a work break, I've only ordered 6 wings meal because I've seen they have them ready. Shortly after delivery guy's appeared and they packed all the food to them completely ignoring customers. Obviously I had to wait for them to cook again... Was a regular, never again!

I went there today, and had the chicken Fillet burger meal. It was disgusting, and the chicken fillet burger had pink parts. The staff are very rude. I'll never go there again.

The food was fantastic Very good customer service.

Absolutely dead meal and shop. Fries were just reheated in oil from cold and tasted old. Chicken fillet was exactly the same, just reheated and quite thin with little flavour or meat. Burger was just slapped together with no care. Shop was dirty. Food tasted dirty and old, I didn't want more than a couple of bites.

Ordered through ubereats third time they have cancelled after waiting 30mins. Food was okay when ordered before assumed it was maybe something else. Don't recommend ordering food from them. Unreliable.

Not sure if under new management but over the last year the food has improved massively. I thought they were abit expensive but after seeing the portion size they’re actually very well priced. Staff are very welcoming also.

Awful experience. Overcooked chicken and undercooked rice. No flavour in either.

If you come here to eat you would expect it to be clean. I went to the toilet and it was filthy. a dirty toilet means a dirty place to heat. a clean toilet means a clean place. The chicken was undercooked to. the fries were nice. but if you are serving food you would keep a 99% clean place. the toilet was terrible. will be a very long time before i go to sams chicken again

Store don't deliver order and don't give refunds!!! Never ordering from here again!!!! I always place an order for 2x Maxi Burger, 2x Spicy Fries and 2x Necto drink. For some reasons the driver don’t bring the Necto drinks or the fries won’t be spicy but regular fries. Whenever I chase it with Deliveroo they tell me to contact the store. And when i contact the store the answer i get is “Sorry about that. We haven’t got any drivers at the moment to deliver your drinks. Can we deliver it with your next order?” This is the response i got on multiple number of times. I've placed an order today and called the store, spoke to a lady. I told her that the store owe me 2 Necto drinks from last time. The lady said “Sorry can’t give that.” and hung up on me. I tried calling again, she answers it and hungs up. Is this the best professionalism that Sam’s chicken can offer? The funny thing is i pay the money in full for the orders i never get it. The restaurant never ever refunded my money.

Horrible. I ordered fries and a Mexican wrap. It was drowned in garlic mayonnaise when I requested no mayo. It was cold and the chicken was tough, like it should’ve been cooked for longer. Threw it in the bin. Wished I would’ve just got a chippy. Expensive for what it is. Not buying again. Still got the aftertaste!

In my opinion, this place offers some of the best chicken wings in Erdington. They're juicy and the prices for the portions they give are really fair. Staff are polite and pleasure to be around.

To be fair very nice chicken wings, meat well cooked through and very juicy, not dry AT ALL and thank god, not deep fried, your peri peri is pretty good guys, only thing I'd say is can you use slightly bigger wings? 🤣🤣 My partner is portuguese and he said you guys got it decently close to original peri peri 😁

I used to eat at Sam's chicken and it was delicious but one day I got spoiled chicken so I stopped buying from there for around 6 months. I decided to give it a try again and the same thing happened. I do not recommend buying from here and I believe that the customer service is awful as well as incompetent.

I went to Sam's chicken in erdington and when I got home the chicken was raw phoned up they said it was the marinade but it was raw all the way through disgusting

I am a carer today 7 May 2020 I went to Sams Erdington to buy lunch for a client who’s returned from Hospital after battling Covid-19 ordered 12 piece grilled peri peri wing meal. The chicken was burnt/ charred on one side (left on one side of the grill for too long). Returned to the shop to exchange the meal to which they agreed but this time around was given undercooked chicken I’m sure it wasn’t even put out on the grill just wanted to get rid off me. Really disappointed . I wish I could have uploaded the pictures for everyone to see the first meal and then the replacement

Ordered via the just eat app at 7.45pm due to arrive at 9.10pm it arrive at 11.15pm and the delivery was refused as it was 2 hours late and 3 and a half hours after i ordered it and it was cold. Tried to contact the restaurant for over an hour the phone was either engaged or no answer. Got refund off just eat as the restaurant are still not answering the phone but they wouldn't refund the £3 delivery charge will not be ordering from them again or through just eat.

Your driver is lovely, I was walking home from work and happened to pass by one of your drivers being shouted at by a customer for late delivery ( I know how busy you are, I work at ZEUS) after having a laugh with your driver and telling him not to worry, he offered me a lift home as it was on the way, it takes me half an hour to walk home so I appreciated it very much, especially this late at night. Thankyou again and keep up the good work in these hard times guys xxx

Chicken is good and reasonably priced. However the tables need cleaning more often and the store celing needs painting. Really how much is a tin of paint!

Nah one place I'd never eat at, too much respect for my body. This used to be a awesome Take Away till they got rid of the Staff what cared about the food. Now, everyone I know who's eaten there has been ill shortly afterwards. They only change the cooking oil like once a week or two. When you ask about it they come off with a attitude then they say they don't understand you. Foods not cheap either. Seriously life is too short as it is, don't disrespect yourself by giving yourself possible food poisoning.

Normally a fan of sams and have ordered it a lot in the past. However I won’t be ordering again. It took forever for the food to come when Then first delivered it and then when I opened the food up 2 of the orders were wrong. After talking to someone over the phone he told us that they would make the order again and get it sent out to us. It’s been more than 45 minutes since that call and I still haven’t received the food. Really disappointed and will not be ordering from here again.

Disgusting service. We are a local buisness who order our evening meal weekly as delivery takes some time we always send someone to order in and take out. Went in to order some food never had a problem like this before collecting food asked for some bbq wings to be told we only make them for delivery orders????? SORRY WHAT?! When the week before there was not any problem or issue like that. So it is easier to deliver wings than collect then? Are they made in the drivers cars while on route? Lady on till couldnt speak english and said she is manager no respect on customer service. Walked out. Never again will be ordering from here. Would advise people to please think multiple times next time if you are to order or eat from here otherwise they wil be saying you cant have it unless you want a delivery just so they can charge extra for that. Disgusting.
