Sami's in Barnet

I got a pita with Israeli salad and shawarma and it was amazing I definitely recommend this place the service is very quick and very nice they even let me choose a drink for free. After I went to the park and although it was cold and windy this food made my day

I had the steak with rice and salad and it was sooo good, amazing steak! The owner Ruth, is the nicest person. Definitely a worthy experience! 😊

The staff are very rude they’re not nice. The chef is nasty towards customers. He’s not nice. He should be fired. You should shut your business down your food so disgusting. I’ve never come back again. Your food is horrible. I don’t like disgusting. You should treat you treat your respect and your self, your chef is nasty. He should be fired.

I was assaulted by a member of the public there was a complete lack of empathy from the management the person who assaulted me was wandering in and out and attacked me whilst I was seated outside the police did not come immediately .if the person who attacked me had a knife what then I attempted to arrest him but he ran off true he had a carer who was not at fault but as a Jewish restaurant I think that I can expect some security and assistance

HORRIBLE CONFRONTATIONAL STAFF Food was okay, however the middle aged Romanian gentleman working at the restaurant was incredibly hostile, confrontational, and very rude. Every single request he had a problem with. Upon arriving he didn't greet or welcome us but told us off for sitting in a 5 seater table as two people, despite the resteraunt being completely EMPTY. He refused to serve us tap water and was mocking in his approach. I'm not sure why they employed this man or why he is even working in hospitality when his attitude absolutely stinks. Then, even with such poor service, he then tried to force us to paying him a tip for his shambolic service. In all my time I have NEVER been served by someone so utterly rude and aggressive.

Sami's is a reliable kosher meaty restaurant. Main meals are quite expensive but you can get a pitta with shwarma which is much more reasonably priced. The restaurant is quite pleasant to sit in and service is good.

I had a meal there the service was so slow we were 40 people we booked in advance some of us waited an hour and half for the food the drinks came late we needed to remind the staff that at least give us drinks before the meal then at the end we had a discount and they forgot about it just not going there for a while ….😡

Fantastic food (mushroom hummus and chicken shawarma), brilliant service from Lucian felt warmed and welcomed all the way through. Gorgeous decor.

The food was Average, but it was expensive and the portion size was miniscule, I had to cook another meal after i finished the one I got from Sami's. I couldn't believe how small the portion of meat was when I took it out of the container. Being nickle and dimed for every single add on like sauces should have been a warning. Edit: Just to clarify I did indeed purchase Adult size meals.

Poor. Went in to order a takeaway. Was told to choose my salads as I was ordering at the till, but this means you don't know what you could have. When I got home the laffe was pathetic. 4 cold falafel - (you used to get more) and a meagre amount of filling. Won't be going back unless they get their act together.

Very nice place. Service was good, plenty of selection of starters, mains and desserts. Wasnt too expensive as it's a Jewish restaurant. Kosher restaurants can be expensive depends on what you order. Would come again with friends or family.

Really nice food, both presentation and flavour were on point. Service was prompt. During my visit, it was slightly busy and was a little loud because of that. I'm sure that during quiet hours it's perfect for a casual meal out.

Mostly good food,maybe they need to improve thier take away and pita stuff...other than that very good compare to others..

The service is very slow. The chicken soup and kneidlach were tasty and the portions generous. But the main course was dreadful. Meat was not hot, just warm, and overcooked. If coming here stick to salads. The restaurant is also very noisy so hard to have a conversation. There are many other local kosher restaurants nearby much better than this.

It would be nice to be greeted when you walk in to (an expensive) restaurant. 5 members of staff crowding around the entrance chatting and not one looked up, smiled or greeted us. Service improved throughout the evening but interaction skills are clearly not a strength. Food was lovely, can't complain, they got the order correct and was brought out in good time, but it was very expensive for what it was. It was a relaxed atmosphere but quite noisy. Half the restaurant knew each other lol.

RACIST! WATCH OUT!!! I order on deliveroo falafel in lafda for £6 very frequently from samis. However today i went into the shop and ordered 3 falafels in laffa and was charged £21! I think it was because of my skin colour, because they could tell i wasnt jewish and not part of their culture. I felt very taken advantage of NOT NICE! :(

Would give it five. However, they do not close the laffa and no freshly cut onion.

Suprisingly good - would recommend - not the usual rip off and sour service you get at metsuyan.

It was incredible best restaurant I have ever been to and I have been to a lot. The staff are so nice and funny as well as this they are very helpful (especially the waiter wearing the black and white trainers) the food was on another level and they would highly recommend going as it is gods gift on earth

Amazing kosher experience located in Edgware. It’s a busy place, so it might take some time for you to get the attention of servers and your order might take bit of a time but I must say, it’s worth it. Food is so tasty and the thought of it would make you drool when you think back of Sami’s. I had lamb in a laffa which is much bigger than your average shawarma. Lamb was so delicious.

First we wanted to try this Persian restaurants because it was newly opened. Look at us now any time dine out ends there. That's why 5 ☆☆☆☆☆ for.

Attended Sami's with some friends who only eat kosher food. The chicken soup with kneidlach was very good although I suspect the kneidlach were from a packet!!!! For main course I ordered salt beef which was supposed to have been one of their signature dishes. A few ultra thin slices of salt beef turned up which in view of their uniformity suggested they may have come straight from a pack. they had little taste and if not for the mustard, red cabbage salad and latke (again from a pre-made mix?) would have been a waste of space on the plate!!! From memory the salt beef was around £18.50 per serving - it would have been cheaper going next door to the deli!!!!

Great kosher food restaurant with a large and varied menu.. Last night after booking a table for two as it was Valentines day the restaurant was completely full and what with all the takeaways they were doing it was a very busy night but dispite that the service was amazing and the food as usual was wonderful.

Very standard middle Eastern food done to a consistently high standard. They have also added , more recently, some Indian dishes to the fare. Impossible to have a bad meal here. The staff are keen to please and they really ensure you are happy. Highly recommended.

Not impressed. I ordered a take away and half the order was missing. The food was decent, nothing special. Probably wouldn’t go back unless it was a matter of life or death.

POOR Service. Waited 35 mins for them to take my order, a further 30 mins for the main course, was in the restaurant from 19:15 to 22:10 just for a quick meal. If this is quick I hate to think what a slow meal is like.

I could not eat my lamb kebab which consisted of chunks of gristle and fat. I had to take it out of my mouth. It was embarrassing. Nothing else to add.

Easily the best schwarma in London...

Amazing customer service. My dad asked for tartare sauce which they don’t have and the waitress offered alternatives, my dad took ketchup and thousand island, only for the waitress to bring tartare sauce which the chef made especially. Also when my mum’s starter came cold, they didn’t just reheat it but made a whole new one and took the cost off the bill! All food was delicious and generous portions. Highly recommend the lamb starter!

What an incredible kosher restaurant! From the service I was given despite only taking away to the taste of their food. Hungry or not I almost bit my fingers off it was that delicious. The burger was as excellent as the proprietors stated it would be. I will drive out of my way again just to taste their food. Thanks Sami

Absolutely disgusting!!! Would not recommend at all. Laffa came soggy and fell apart, and from what I did eat from it left me with food poisoning- unless u enjoy throwing up and having Diarrhoea do not get food from here.

Yaniv and the team deliver a topnotch service. New menu offers some exciting dishes and includes the classics we've all come to love. Sammi's is a professional operation and a reliable fixture in Edgware. Ordering on Deliveroo for nights-in also super convenient. Well done guys!

Good kosher food just slightly pricey

Normally good food but unbelievably terrible service. Placed an order for takeaway. Happy and quick to take money. After 15 minutes asked where food was and was told would be at least ten more minutes. Why was this not mentioned when ordering. Offered to refund my money when I said I couldn’t wait like was doing me a favour. Not even an offer of a latke or bit of hummus while waiting. Terrible service and a waste of time.

Absolutely appalling service. Walked in around 7pm and placed an order for 1 shawarma and latke. Took my money quickly enough and said to wait and they’d call me when ready. After 15 minutes I asked how much longer food would be and they looked and said at least 10 minutes more as they were busy. Out of courtesy it would have been nice to tell me there was a delay and give me the option of deciding to stay or not. Then when they agreed to give me a refund after I said I couldn’t wait any longer it was as if they were doing me a favour. Out of courtesy and basic customer service, it might have been nice to offer maybe some hummus while waiting or as compensation. Basic courtesy and customer service goes a long way to show care but with this service there really was no bother or effort to try and appease or make a mends. Sad. Very sad.

We went there last night our 1st meal out in months and what a disappointment. We were if 3 tables and the service was appallingly slow. Staff standing around whilst we were gasping for a drink. Eventually the waitress came to take our order and guess what so much was unavailable from the menu. We wanted a juice apparently they no longer sell them so why are they still on the menu? The service was so slow 🐌 it seemed that they were busy with takeaway orders and couldn't be bothered to serve the diners. Eventually the food came lukewarm and mediocre.the bill was expensive for what we had.would we go back? No reason plenty other restaurants to go to.

This was a takeaway for 2 couples. The meat was barely recognisable as lamb, was very pale and gristly and chewy. The Laffa bread was good. Salads a bit pedestrian no dressing. Very disappointing, doubt we will return. Need to try a lot harder than this after months of lockdown and review their meat supplier. Front of staff house would benefit from some training in customer service.

Hi good food but waited 30min to order

Overpriced and chicken soup had too much salt. However, the customer service was satisfactory.

Waste of time. Booked deliveroo at 7pm. It is now 8.25 and after having called them - they haven't even cooked it yet. Completely useless. Update: Food arrived at 8.40pm Entire order was wrong....substituted fillings and drink. Half portions. A complete rip off. Phoned. They said a refund will be issued. No need to order from here ever again. Hopefully, the refund will appear... Update: been refunded. 21st February - tried again. Shame on me. Sent wrong item. Promised a refund.

Hi we ordered a delivered meal which arrived on time minus one of the two main courses. I phoned and it was delivered 35 minutes later. The food was tasty and ample portion size once it arrived.

On the 28th Dec . I ordered takeaway food for a friend who was ill she had lamb cutlets with mixed veg and mashed pots. I ordered for her mum and stepdad the 5 meats mixed grill with a portion of mixed veg and mashed pots. They raved about it and said it was so delicious. On the 3rd Jan for my friend who was still sick I ordered another takeaway which was chicken soup with kneidelach, shawarma in a pita with humus, Israeli salad, red cabbage and lettuce. I also ordered charcoal chicken in a laffa with humus, Israeli salad,olives and lettuce. She raved about the chicken but wasn't keen on the shawarma but it might have just been personal taste as she prefers her mum's shawarma.

This used to be my fave take away however currently they just deliver freezing cold, poor quality food even to people who are nearby. The lack of care to even keep people's food hot while they are waiting for delivery is astounding especially during Covid when people are trying to support smaller businesses

Ordered the 3 types of chicken soup , lamb cutlets with Israeli and aubergine salads. Charcoal chicken with Israeli and aubergine salads, one portion mixed veg and one portion mashed potatoes for a sick friend and she said the food was lovely .

I ordered on the 27th Dec a takeaway for a friend who was home sick the following 3 types of chicken soup, charcoal chicken with Israeli and aubergine salads, lamb cutlets with Israeli and aubergine salads, one portion of mashed potatoes and dne portion of mixed veg. She raved about the soups even her two year old daughter loved the soups and she also said the meals were delicious.

I got deliveroo from the edgware restaurant this evening and it was pretty awful I ordered the build your own Chinese noodle box with egg fried rice and sweet and sour chicken The rice was completely bland with a few pieces of egg added in, an absolute joke to even call it egg fried rice The chicken had very little flavour, was kind of soggy (not sure how you make chicken soggy?) with a weird fluorescent sauce, and it was too dry that it didn’t even add flavour to the rice because there wasn’t any sauce that mixed in with the rice I also expected at least a few vegetables with the chicken as you would usually get with a Chinese rice meal but that was literally it And the presentation was just awful

It's ok. Food is hot and quick. Nothing to get overly excited about and not cheap, but the service is efficient and friendly and there is usually a buzz about the place.

The most horrific meal I have had in ages. We ordered a takeaway... Shawarma - this was thick chunks of fat, no meat and not fully cooked. It looked revolting Lettuce salad - this is not a salad it is a tub of unwashed lettuce Chicken cubes - over cooked and hard. I couldn’t chew it or swallow it Mixed vegetables - I don’t no what on earth this pot was but it was repulsive I have called to speak to the manager but he’s not there. I have left my number with them and am waiting for a call back

Went to Sam's Edgware for a schwarma. NO schwarma. Sold out. Very disappointing. Rest of meal was good. Service good.

Restaurant has gone down hill. Firstly you cannot go up and tell the chef what you want in your laffa, you have to tell the waitress beforehand. This caused confusion as two people on our table had shawarma in laffa and the waitress did not know what was is which laffa with the shawarma. Also half the food is cooked in nut oil. This really limited my friends options as she has a nut allergy. I have had much better experiences at this restaurant in the past but I feel it's gone really down hill lately.

Six of us had lunch. The restaurant was not particularly busy. Our waitress was friendly and helpful. We all chose one of the set menus and the food, quantity and taste was - well we will be happy to return so what more do you need to know? The lunch set menus are pretty good value but looking at the a la carte prices I would question whether those prices would constitute equivalent value.There was only one minus. Despite the relatively empty restaurant, it took too long for the starters to arrive and at one point we had to ask where they were. One of our party ended up having to leave for an appointment before her dessert which was a shame, although I should point out that the main course and desserts were served in a reasonable time.We'll be back...as I said before.

Normally great service but very dissatisfied with the take away, got new system when you have to order everything at the till even what you want in your pita bread, before the chefs asked you now everything was done at the till and they messed up mine and my sons order I ended with olives which I can't stand and my son chilli likewise I can understand if it was busy but it wasn't go back to the original system b4 more complaints happen.
