The crispy roasted pork, though not as juicy as I had hoped, found redemption in a delightful combination of barbecue sauce and soy sauce for dipping. The noodles, on the other hand, were a true highlight—flavorful and expertly prepared, they served as the perfect accompaniment to the pork. Portions at Same Same are generous, ensuring that hunger is never a concern. Moreover, the friendly staff added to the warm and inviting atmosphere, culminating our visit with the delightful tradition of a fortune cookie.

Great value for money, efficient, friendly service AND of course, delicious food! We come here with our friends and family regularly as it's our go to place for big dinners!

Ordered crispy fish with tofu hot pot, Malay black pepper beef, stuffed aubergines, sweet & sour pork, char sui & roast duck crispy chow mein and braised pork belly with pickled vegetables.The entire family enjoyed the meal. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Had hoped when it opened it may be an unofficial successor to Asia Style. Unfortunately, nothing I've tried over a couple visits was as remotely tasty as Asia Style. For example, the kangkong was just bland, completely lacking the delicious fermented prawn richness of Asia Style. I know I shouldn't compare, but my mind is too often distracted by the many memories of how wonderful Asia Style was, and visiting this current iteration just reinforces my terrible regret it is no longer with us, and that I should have visited it more frequently to ensure it didn't disappear. It's not Same Same's fault obviously, but it's only natural to compare, and it hasn't been a positive evolution from what came before. Every dish I've tried has only been ok.

Excellent food and very reasonably priced. Have visited a couple of times now and enjoyed both meals very much. It's a busy place obviously popular with family groups and offers wide variety of Chinese and Malaysian dishes. Staff are friendly and welcoming

hit the sweet spot so delicious, the waiters were so polite especially a young lad leo he was so polite and welcoming, introduced himself to the highest level as soon as we walked through the door, really appreciate his service and will definitely will be back again.

Authentic and delicious Chinese food. You know it’s good by how many Chinese locals come to eat for dinner, this place is a must try. They serve complimentary starter soup and dessert soup (I think depending on the day) and portions are very filling. A hidden gem! And a new personal favourite Chinese restaurant.

We went recently for the first time as our usual Chinese restaurant is temporarily closed. It was packed moments after opening but the staff were still organised & efficient. As usual, we over ordered, but the portions were also huge. Everything we ordered was amazing with definite attention to detail. Will return again soon.

Absolute rip off. 3 skinny satay sticks and the smallest tub of satay sauce I've ever seen. £6.50...not even worth £3.50. Not good value for money at all. Literally 3 sticks of chicken, no onions, Peppers, nothing. Avoid! Update: the chicken is raw and slimy...absolutely disgusted. Will be contacting environmental health to check this place. Almost vomited everywhere. Raw chicken in photos.

Same Same Malaysian restaurant is absolutely fantastic! The food is authentic and packed with incredible flavors. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed by the friendly staff. The dishes were delicious, and I could tell they were prepared with care. If you're craving Malaysian cuisine, this is the place to go. Highly recommended!

Very average food with not low prices, the waiters are warm to white customers and give free crackers soon, cool to Asians and only give after asking for crackers.

The noodles portion are good and big enough for 2 person sharing. The salted egg sotong has got corn 😥 If you’re not too desperate it should be a avoided.

The food was so amazing! We ordered three roast, fish curry, salted egg yolk coated shrimp and fried green beans. Everything was so tasty, big portions, very authentic, it even came with complimentary soup and dessert, which tastes heaven! The service is brilliant, the gentleman recommended us many dishes and asked us if the food was alright! They’ve also got many big tables so it’s perfect for family dinner or big group of people 😊 this is the place to go if you crave authentic Chinese food!

I'll go with what was great to the best: The food was amazing, really authentic, my Chinese friend wanted to get something that's truly authentic, he had a 3 type roast and stated that it can take over a week to prepare. He was overjoyed. I had Malaysian Chicken curry, never tasted anything like it Beautiful with such tender chicken. The only thing better than the the food was the service. Been a waiter & bartender all my days and I have to say the lad has got it right 💯 best service in Glasgow. Also spoke with anouther seprate waiter who wasn't serving us, blonde highlights good lad, good waiter hopefully ye manage to quit smoking one day bro. But the lad who served us was truly the best waiter in Glasgow nae the western hemisphere. We'll be back and we'll be bringing our family's. Was in on Thursday night 02/06/22 , around 10:45. Also super fast service if you couldn't tell already. My mate agrees with me 100% & he comes from a fully authentic Chinese household. this place is dynamite. I cannot say in words how good this restaurant is. The food is authentic Malaysian food. I will be back. Always delicious and satisfying, they never disappoint. Servers speak in Chinese and English, ask the servers to recommend their best dishes if you’re feeling adventurous!

Excellent, authentic, tasty food. Ordered via Deliveroo. Ordered Mandarin beef, honey chilli chicken, salt and chilli chicken strips, fried rice and salt and chilli chips. There was plenty of meat and veg in the dishes and they were all delicious. We played safe with what we ordered as this was our first time using Same Same but it won't be the last. Plenty to choose from on the menu including dishes not usually seen on your typical Scottish/Chinese menu. What we had worked out at £10 pp.

Great tasting authentic Chinese cuisine, place where Chinese people come to eat so you can't argue with that. Had the beef flank curry pot and it was amazing, could eat that all day long.

Used to be my favourite Chinese restaurant whenever we dine out for Chinese but today, it was terrible, sweet and sour taste like syrup, special cantonese noodles deep fried, watery and very less meat, unlike any other times, everyone was complaining when I took it home. Wont be back for a while. Hope its just a one off

I used this place 3 times in February 2021 and found the quality of food consistently high. Delicious, like home cooking and not salty as some takeaway food can be. The portions are so generous and good value for money, I was pleasantly surprised. Recommended are Roast duck, Mandarin Chinese and roast belly pork with rice. Delivery was punctual with deliveroo. Most certainly go8ngbto order from Same Same again.

Never come here again, bad attitude toward people. If you don't speak Chinese they'll treat you brilliantly, but they'll treat their own people like you don't exist and lie about prices

Real Chinese & Malaysian food. The city has its fair share of anglicised Asian food but same same is anything-but the 'same' as all those places. The menu is diverse. A wide spectrum is available, but everything I've had, has been delicious. I Can't wait to go back.

Used this place for first time tonight. Was truly the best chicken curry I have ever had. Husband had the chicken with black pepper and loved that too. 100 % recommended!

Great food, pricey and long waits for it to actually get to the table. Bit of a bossy Waiter straight out of Hollywood Casting office for the “bad guy” role. There were 3 of us. Between us we had “Salt and Chilli Squid”, “Salt & Chilli Ribs”, “Beef Curry”, “Fine Beans”, “Stir Fried bean Sprouts”, “Squid with Chinese Vegetable” , which is your choice of One Vegetable, such as Broccoli, Fine Beans, but I chose Pak Choi, which was exquisite!! Also a “2 Meat Roast”. We also had Boiled Rice and Tea. Everything was delicious, but service was dour and Snail-paced which is why only 4 Stars. We were sat just outside the Women’s restroom, like 7 Feet from the door, outside the main formal, and hugely more ornate, Dining Room. It was DISMAL where we were sat, but my companions weren’t bothered apparently. It appeared we were the only Westerners there. Anyway, we were well fed. The bill was £80 all-in. They do not accept Debit Cards, so be warned, bring Cash.

Have not yet eaten in the restaurant itself but certainly will after the delicious takeaway experience we had last night. Honestly can say it is the most delicious Chinese food I have had in over 20 years (we eat this cuisine at least once a week!). Will be back for more.

Great welcome & service. Chinese tea top ups. Pork & veg wor tip steamed dumplings excellent. As was the roti canai with Malaysian curry sauce. We moved on to a classic super fresh whole steamed sea bass with soy, ginger, spring onion. Then a 2 roast plate with crispy belly pork & tender cha sui. Faultless really.

Have only used the takeaway, but have always been impressed by it. The restaurant always seems busy, so I'm guessing it's equally good.
