Dim Sum Restaurant in Glasgow City

The food was underwhelming. These were not good soup dumplings. The rappers were soggy and there was no soup in the dumplings and they were not steaming hot they were basically cold. I got the crispy duck and it tasted like either canned duck or chicken that was spiced with duck seasoning. I got the lychee gin tonic and although it was very good it tasted like there was no alcohol in it at all. The one waiter was staring at me very creepily the whole time and they were very eager to turn the tables it was hard to enjoy and I felt rushed. I would not recommend this place and I would not go back. Also very overpriced.

Great asian tastes to an ok price. Friendly staff.

One small bowl of egg fried rice is 3.6 pound. The pork dish is not spicy at all but salty and the orange duck sauce tastes fake. Heard dishes and glass dropping twice during the dining. Besides, no one asked if the food is ok or not. When I said remove the service charge the waitress seems so pissed and impatient. And they all have nail polish and fake nails which I don’t think it’s allowed in the catering business and not safe for food hygiene. Won’t recommend it to others.

Absolutely fabulous. This was potentially one of the best meals I’ve ever had. Everything is fantastic. I cannot recommend the beef satay dumplings and chicken/king prawn/leek dumplings enough. Everything is packed with flavour and just to die for. The service is lovely and the meal was perfectly paced and portioned. The value for money is also unbeatable. I highly recommend for anyone visiting Glasgow.

Amazing food and friendly staff

Food was good. I dropped a star because they started to clean their beer lines at 8pm so wouldn’t serve draft beers to us, odd to clean the lines during service. Otherwise would have been 5 out of 5. The crispy beef was great

The special fried rice I ordered was too small not the usual special fried rice I do order...I was not impressed at all the food tasted horrible with some looking burnt and very tasteless.how can you charge 15pounds for such a horrible food....no I was disappointed.

Best beef and green peppers black been sauce I have ever tasted soup let it down won ton I would still go back most definitely for the beef and green peppers and the ice cream in fact I'm going back next wk.

Booked online. The place was busy on a Friday late afternoon, although it has lots of tables downstairs and upstairs. We went for a fried dim sum platter for two which was a good starter. Initially, we thought of sharing the main course but the waitress told us the portions were not big enough and we decided to order duck in orange sauce and chicken Hong Kong style. The chicken was the best, very tasty. Unfortunately, we had to cancel our planned shared dessert of toffee banana as we were running out of time before a concert. The service was friendly, not sure about some negative comments about it. 10% tips already included in the bill.

Visited this place midweek and it was very busy with good atmosphere. Had the crispy chicken chilli sauce and it was delicious and piping hot. The staff are all really friendly and helpful.

Lovely food but terrible music, piano versions of Adele etc. played far too loudly

Food was ok. But spicy wasn’t, very quick to get you out, was presented with the bull before I was finished, certainly didn’t have the feel of an authentic dim sum based restaurant

Myself and my three cousins went to Dim Sum restaurant for a meal 8/2/24. It was fantastic the meals were delicious the staff and service were great. The chap that worked there tried to teach us how to use chopsticks but we failed miserably so just stuck knives and forks. Great night had by all. Will definitely go back.

Really friendly staff, amazing freshly made dim sum. The lamb with cumin and the aubergine with prawn were really delicious as well. Best Chinese food I've had in a long time, and the staff were really friendly and helpful.

OK. So this restaurant currently rates no. 4 of Chinese restaurants in Glasgow. I haven’t tried the other three. But this one was top notch. Really nice setting, prices reasonable. But most importantly, the food was great and the service impeccable. Special shout out to Chris who was our server - he couldn’t have been more attentive. The dim sum was the star of the meal - the best we had ever tasted. Will definitely be back.

Lovely place for dinner and a date

Fabulous food, best Asian food I’ve had in years. Lovely restaurant, fresh and clean and not cramped. But above all, wonderful staff. The waiting staff are lovely, friendly and helpful. In particular, how they dealt with an older couple, their kindness, gentleness and going over and beyond the call of duty, just took my breath away.

Fabulous food, great dim sum but also usual Chinese delights. Food best I’ve had in a long time. Restaurant well maintained and spotless but the staff are tge biggest seller. The three folk who were in on 11th December were wonderful. Cannot praise enough. Fabulous restaurant.

The last time I was here was at least six years ago. Anyway, brought my friend here today. We did enjoyed the dim sum and we found the beefs fried hofan a little bit too oily. Jasmine tea was good to wash down the greasy foods we had especially the beef hofan. The girl who served us was pleasantly friendly. Definitely coming back. The restaurant interiors is nice and the toilet is very cleaned.

One of the gems I ran into in the city center. It's a localized dim sum restaurant in terms of both setting and taste, and neither let me down. I ordered a steamed dumpling platter and it was surprisingly good. Fantastic service and atmosphere. The price is very reasonable for what you get, especially considering its location.

Over rated and expensive . Staff quite rude , started clearing table while we were still eating and we had to go for a bag of chips after! Won't be back

Only downside was no big notice that they were adding on a service charge in December to every booking not just large parties

£55 for 2 starters, 2 mains and a couple of cans of juice. Food was passable. Both curry's were child sized portions. Not going back.

Food and service decent. Value for money shocking. 2 course lunch deal for 2 people with two cans of juice came to £55. Wonton soup was honestly worth about a quid. A small bowl of tasteless broth. The portion sizes for the mains was a joke. A kid sized portion of rice with about 6 pieces of chicken, some chopped veg and a few spoonfuls of sauce. Felt absolutely robbed. Would've been better going to the chippy on way back to the car.

A small group of us had a mixture of dim sum to share for a light dinner. They were all of a good quality and the option sizes were well matched to the price. Would like to come back for a full meal some time based on this experience.

A busy night, hadn't booked but they accommodated my son and I. Service fabulous and food very good. It wasn't cheap and I thought the dim sum and starters were better than the main - but I did just go for a standard beef curry, which was also very good. Really cosy inside & a great atmosphere.

Fantastic service and meal. The food was brought attentively, the ribs were the best ever, so much so that the order was repeated. The mains were all excellent and very different from each other. The food was super tasty and fresh. And when I lost mu business receipt, the owner emailed me a copy of it from the till (photograph) which shows that they care for their customers. We shall return!!

We miss dimsum, like literally dimsum, that evening so we decided to go to this restoran. I like the chicken king prawn dimsum. Their fried rice is nice too. Portion is generous, so you can share it with your friend. Most importantly they use halal meat and chicken.

Overpriced, tasteless food and very slow service. First and last visit.

The food is lovely! Very tatsey and clean - you don't end up feeling bloated or anything. The place also has the best prawn cracker I have ever tasted.

Have been there twice since we moved here from the States. Quite quite enjoyed it. The serving staff were welcoming, attentive and made two quick changes to our order (ex: the 4th person in our group decided to have jasmine tea w/ the rest of us and they changed it quickly). they were flexible to add our fourth person who needed to arrive later. The food was very good. I've never lived in Asia, so I can't argue with self acclaimed experts on Asian food, but the four of us were very happy with portions, taste and service. (we ate there on a cold night and the room was cozy). We found the Dim Sum Sampler for two to be filling and a bargain. Not to mention educational.

Ordered on Uber eats- The chips were stale and seemed not fresh - some pieces were cold in the middle - the prawn toast was very oily - the steamed prawn with chives dumpling ,the dumpling lining itself had a milky flavor which wasn’t pleasant- the steamed veg dumplings with saffron were overly salty I couldn’t finish them - everything wasn’t fresh but the order did come very fast- wouldn’t eat here again

First time visit, good choice on menu and all our courses were delicious, the staff were friendly and attentive, definitely will return

One of our favourite Chinese restaurants in Glasgow. Any dish that said salt and chilli has a very good amount of spice, so if your someone who enjoys heat it’s a good choice. Portion size is perfect and not over prices. Service has always been great and will continue to recommend for a good meal in town.

Lovely food, friendly staff and loved the decor. We had chicken and mushroom with fried rice, and satay chicken skewers with rice, both were superb, served with a smile. The toilets are clean, and fresh too, something I always look out for, many restaurants toilets in Glasgow, are a disgrace, this one is excellent, well done Dim Sum crew.

Loved this restaurant. First time here and we can’t wait to come back. Food was absolutely delicious, lovely atmosphere and best of all was the fantastic service. Friendly and professional. Can’t fault it and would definitely recommend.

Food is good for sure but omg I was shocked with the pricing. It’s been about a year since my last visit and the prices have increased by about 30%. Come on this is just profiteering. The worst thing is the automatic 10% tip added to the bill so make sure you check bill before adding additional tip and if not happy ask them to remove the discretionary 10%. £7 for a pint of Asahi beer, I’d pay that in London in fancy restaurant but it’s not exactly the Ritz so no idea how they can charge this. I don’t mind paying for expensive meal but this is just run of the mill, nothing fancy about place, food presentation etc.

Brilliant! Shared 5 dim sum between 2 and each one was fantastic, despite there being a good few items out of stock! Server was so attentive too 🙂

Went here on a Sunday afternoon. We wanted to get some dumplings but they were sold out of pretty much all of them. They asked what we wanted to drink and we said just water, came and opened a bottle of still and charged us about £6 for it. Food was just okay. Won't be back.

The food is definitely not authentic, if you are Asian and know how dishes should be cooked, better stay away if you don't want to be disappointed. For non-Asian it might be acceptable.

Really nice restaurant with quite authentic Chinese food. I highly recommend the Beef in Chili Oil and salted egg custard buns - delicious!

Had a really nice meal here. Veg dim sum was super tasty and salt and chili tofu was great too! Bit pricey but the food was worth it. Super friendly staff and nice ambience.

We had an authentic Chinese style meal with our family here. Being ethnically Chinese, we were pleasantly surprised with our meal. Full video review found on our channel, TheOliveTreeFamily on Instagram and TikTok. We shared - Sliced Chicken in Hot Chilli Oil - Stuffed Aubergine with Prawn in Warm Soy - King Do Style Pork Chops - Mapo Tofu with minced pork - Stir Fried Broccoli Stems with Beef - Lamb with Cumin and Coriander Sides, everyone had a bowl of steamed rice. Drinks, we had the traditional Chinese jasmine tea. Dessert, the kids had Equi’s strawberry ripple ice cream They have a business lunch menu too. All the meat except the pork is halal certified. Most dishes has a vegan option too. They also have Chinese takeaway style food too if this is outside your comfort zone. Great place for a meal if you are in Glasgow City Centre.

There's not much to say other than the food is 10/10. Delicious! We had pork dumplings, pork buns, sweet chilli chicken, crispy chilli beef and rice - all amazing! With drinks we paid £55, which is fair considering the portion sizes. (You could comfortably share a main if you have a smaller appetite, or want to order more dim sum.) We'll not likely be back in Glasgow soon, but if we are we'll definitely come again!

Being from British Columbia, where there are amazing Asian restaurants in Richmond, we did not think the Dim Sum in Scotland would be spectacular. However the food was pretty good. We found it a bit strange that the small serving dishes in the steam container...

Went on recommendation of family member. Could not fault any aspect of our dinner. Friendly welcoming staff serving fantastic food in comfortable surroundings. The steamed vegetable dumplings were delicious. All fresh and well cooked. I'll be back

TOURIST TRAP, ALSO NO GLUTEN FREE AT ALL I was there about two weeks ago, the waitress assured me they had something gluten free (I'm coeliac), I asked and asked and they kept telling me they could cater for me. Obviously, I was glutened. I had already suspected from the consistency, colour and flavour. The place is nice but the food is nothing special and the prices are very high. It seems like a tourist trap to me (considering the central location). Definitely don't go there if you have coeliac disease!

Great experience and very friendly staff who were happy to explain things and advise on portion sizes etc. Really good steamed dumplings and they do a platter (for beginners who might not know what to order). Overall a great experience for Chinese food and/or dim sum in the city centre.

You will want to push the door of Dim Sum. First because you’ll feel warmly welcomed. Then because you’ll taste one of the very best Asian food in Scotland. The fried rice itself is subtly flavoured, and the beef Kung po is perfectly cooked and so tasty. I will come back when I am in Glasgow for sure. I can’t wait indulging myself with such a delicious meal!

We had a good time at this wonderful restaurant. Good service and great food. I like spicy hot food so added a little bit of chilli oil but on its own the food was great.

Decided on a 2 course meal for £14:95. Plenty of options, and we were not disappointed. Staff were very attentive. Will definitely return.

Taste wise okay, we discovered a piece of hair in Awful, When shown to staff she denied it that it can not be from their kitchen, no politeness to apologise instead was told it was from wife’s which clearly wasn’t the case looking at the hair itself. Massive food hygiene issues. Never going there again. I was not able to sallow a single bite after discovering hair so ended up in Nippon Kitchen nearby.

The lady with specs serving was showing an attitude as if she is doing a favour . was being borderline discriminatory . as a tourist I never had an experience as pathetic as this .Will never step my foot here. Shame on you all to be running a restaurant with staff of such sickening attitude. Probably the management encourages it based on where the tourist if from, otherwise your staff will not have such repulsive customer orientation . Please read the feedback from others as well and ACT ON IT . Disgusting !!! Your staff is a disgrace to the service industry !!

First time visit food was excellent and great vfm

The only pro was the service, the waiters were attentive and loving towards my 1 year old. Con: everything we ordered was salty. From the dumplings, the aubergine with king prawns for our toddler, the plum sauce (is meant to be sweet) for the duck pancakes and even the duck itself besides it being chewy. Oh and we ordered egg fried rice - which was leftover from last month. Tasteless. After living for 5 years in Asia I can tell you this is far from authentic Asian food. The food is salty on purpose as a ploy to get you to order more drinks. Disappointing.

Overcrowded and overpriced with poor service. 30 mins to sit. 30 mins for server to show up for order. 60 minutes after that for food to show up. Small portions.

Bardzo dobre pierożki ale uważam ze nieco za drogie. Za zestaw pierożków ( 10 sztuk) cena prawie 18 funtów wydaje się za duża. Atmosfera mogłaby być nieco przyjaźniejsza, a personel milszy.

Food okay. Probably get the actual dim sum rather than the mains. The dim sum i had was really quite nice. The main i had (orange chicken) had the worst tasting orange sauce I have tasted. Cant have been anything more that orange juice with corn syrup mixed - far too acidic and spoiled the nicely prepared meat and rice. I've had orange chicken for half the price that tasted far better. I went in for lunch for 1 while on break, seeing their £15 dine in lunch menu advertised outisde the restuarant. The server didnt say anything or show me the contactless payment screen before tapping it to the card that was in my hand. What i was actually charged was closer to £17 as their dine in price didnt incclude a service charge. I know service charges are pretty common, but at lunch time for 1 person, in the city center, it was a bit spirising, especially given I was eating off the "£15 lunch combo". At least say it's a thing before initiating contactless payment. All in all okay food, okay service, but if theyre charging close to £20 the food and service both need to be improved quite a bit in my opinion before i'll be happy going in for linch again.

Dim sum was poor, veg in dim sum was basically frozen diced carrots and peas with some meat in. Friend dimsum was mediocre at best. The atmosphere was that of a funeral parlor. Staff were friendly enough.

this restaurant is incredibly fine and the staff are so friendly and professional, this was a brilliant experience and their large menu is great for any picky eaters or maybe people who want to experiment with their foods. their bao buns and dim sum is a MUST have, the night was so delightful. weather the group is large or small the food and atmosphere truly speaks for itself and gives you something to enjoy and remember. i will be coming back here, if you like good authentic chinese cuisine. this is great to try

The Dim Sums were lovely, however the main dish of Kung Po Chicken was dreadful due to the chicken being over cooked and dry, to the point it was hard to chew. I'm guessing it was pre-fried, then fried agian when ordered to save time. Also the waitress started clearing the table when my partner was still eating. I would not recommend eating here and I will certainly not be back.

Delicious food, fab cocktails, great atmosphere and staff were very friendly. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to others. We had prawn toast, pork dumplings, Lemon Chicken and 2 cocktails - all were 5 out of 5. We will definitely be back.

Surprisingly authentic. We visited with a couple of Chinese who had been here before. If you need a fix of authentic Chinese food, this place gets you that.
