The food was very nice and very reasonable prices. The service could have been a little better, the empty plates were left too long in between courses, and the waitress spilled the parmesan cheese on the table when adding it to my son's meal, and it was not cleaned off until after we left after dessert. We will go back though.

Great food and great atmosphere. Well worth a visit but you beed to book as this place is in high demand. Had mushroom in garlic sauce fir starter and pollo stroganoff fir bsin. Hubby gsd pollo fiorentine. Tiramisu for desert goes without saying.

The food was OK until I received my tiramisu pudding. Besides supermarket tiramisu tasting better and this being mostly cream, a 2 inch piece of thin plastic was in the tiramosu. I told the waiter and he didn't even apologise. Said 'it's just cling film' and do I want another one. No thanks. Asked for a discount and it was my first time there but they said no.

My wife and I tried this place for the first time after recommendations. First impressions usually stick and so it was with the decoration. Scuffs on doors and unsightly skirting boards that need a lick of paint. I've been in cleaner cafes! If you're not fussed about what a customer sees then what is the state of the areas that aren't seen? However, although the quality of food was strictly average the service was attentive. Overall 3/5

This restaurant is always vibrant and full of people. One taste of the food and you'll understand why. The pizzas are wood oven fired and completely delicious. Pasta is all cooked to perfection. The tomato sauce you get with the meatball starter or with a calzone is drool inducing. It's so delicious you'll want to get your spoon and eat it. I know I do. The staff are very friendly and efficient as well.

Food ok pizza came out with raw toppings. Staff very short and disrespectful towards customers, instead of agreeing with the customers and correcting the issue they kicked off. Never go again poor do

Best restaurant in Yorkshire for Italian grate staff 5 star atmosphere jossibi and anglos are some top chefs and antonio some guy grate hosting skills grate at keeping organised and running such a grate business there is one staff I miss the scottish guy

We visited again with friends last night. A great welcome and buzzing restaurant as before. Friendly owner and good service from all the staff. Can’t go wrong with these prices and the good quality of food.

Was introduced to Sambuca by my partner on a fiftieth celebration great venue for this. We then started to come on a regular basis as the food is out of this world and value for money keep it up highly recommended for any occasion.

Nine of us came here to celebrate mine and my husband’s wedding anniversary. We were shown straight to our table by a lovely waiter and drinks order was taken. The food was really nice and only £11.95 for two courses. The services was really good all the staff are so friendly. We will definitely be back again. Thankyou for a lovely evening

Service that goes beyond any other to fulfill customer satisfaction. Tony really goes the extra mile to make his customers happy and this makes all the difference. The food is always excellent and the prices are reasonable. Safe to say no one will leave disappointed.

Update: Visited here again recently and it was just as good as the previous visit. Great early bird offer with great value! Excellent find. The food is amazing and the staff are nice and friendly. Very well priced for today's cost of living. I had the Sambuca Special Pizza and it was one of the best I've had, even the mixed salad was on another level. Cannot recommend this place enough!

Good food, good service, good value. The staff is very friendly. If you like singing it is the place to go to. Personally it is not my cup of tea so I will go early to avoid that because it gets very noisy.

We hadn’t been before, but reviews were good. We had the starter and main for £15.95 which nowadays is very reasonable. Two of us had prawn cocktail & the other had meatballs as starters, all well presented and tasty. I had Risotto al fungi which was creamy & full of mushrooms. One had Linguini supreme with chicken and the other had Pollo (chicken) Cacciatoria & I was told both were delicious. No room for dessert but we were served with a shot of Limoncello liqueur, a lovely touch and a pleasant way to end the meal. The staff are friendly and attentive, not overly so, much appreciated. Small, cosy, restaurant, will recommend to friends.

This Restaurant is a little hidden diamond. We’ve been a few times but my first review and I can honestly say everything about the place is great. The staff are welcoming and attentive. The food is second to none in comparison to other Italian restaurants in the area. I’ve had different dishes ranging from pasta,chicken,steak which is well worth it and various pizzas. You have plenty of time to enjoy your courses and not rushed even in busy periods. Tony and his staff are doing a great job. Back soon Noel

Small restaurant with good food and friendly atmosphere

Visited Saturday evening,staff very friendly and helpful but the music most of the evening was loud and deafening,unable to hear yourself speak or have a conversation.Not suitable for an Italian restaurant.The Carbonara was very bland no ham but bacon,dissapointed.The wine and beer were excellent choices.For my personal choice would not visit again.

Amazing food from the starters to desserts .Staff very attentive and asked if everything was okay.Service was quick yet plenty of resting time in between courses .The owner was chatty and seemed to listen to everyone's comments on the meals .Can't fault anything and will return again soon .Can be noisy when a group in.but all adds to the atmosphere. Would highly recommend give this place a try .

Went at 5:30 on a Thursday, as part of a birthday group of 25. We were able to take advantage of the two courses for 11:95 early bird menu. Excellent value for money. Waiter was really good and quickly took orders. Food was served quickly and was lovely, especially pizzas. Had a really good time there. Would recommend.

Extremely helpful stuff. The food was very good, particularly as they had a deal when you could have two courses for £10.50 during the week. The range of starters was exceptional- I had the chicken pate which was phenomenal. There was a wide choice of main courses that were part of the deal Definitely worth a visit
