Really great food, good portion sizes and lovely staff! Will definitely return. The king prawn starter is lovely, so is the seafood pasta. Looking forward to our next visit! 100% recommend.

Second visit on valentines night. I surprised my wife. It was fantastic again. The food is delicious the atmosphere is relaxed the staff are amazing. The seafood pasta is delicious my wife loved the lamb ragu. Puddings 10/10 We will be back.

Once again the meal was outstanding! The staff are helpful and sociable without being pushy, and the atmosphere is warm and intimate. Value for money is excellent. Without doubt this is the best Italian restaurant in the area. My wife and I love it here!

Superb independent restaurant, make sure you book even mid week due to its popularity and cosy size. The staff are very friendly and attentive. The set menu is varied and excellent value for money. Our starters: the calamari, and the goats cheese & beetroot tart. Fresh & homemade, absolutely delicious. Loved the zucchini that came with the calamari! Main courses: 2 perfectly cooked rare steaks with perfect fries, salad, and a delicious peppercorn sauce. Dessert: shared the Sticky Toffee Pudding. Went on a Saturday evening for a birthday celebration with my partner. The staff were incredibly attentive and friendly . The food was amazing with huge portions and great value for money. The menu is great with loads of choice. A lovely atmosphere allowing conversation to flow with not too many tables on top of each other. Highly recommended

Found this place down the side off the main st, nice entry with light, it was almost full for a Thursday night, good sign, nice decor with an Italian touch. Looking for somewhere for lunch in Ilkley we dropped in to Galo's Kitchen not knowing what to expect. The food we ordered was superb, this place is a gem, the staff are friendly and attentive and the food is excellent. When we visit Ilkley we will make this a regular stop.

Excellent in every way, from booking to welcome, service to the quality of food. We came to Galo's on the strength of the reviews we read, and we were not disappointed. Just one example of the level of service and attention; because I had pepper on my first course, a young lady was standing by with a pepper mill when the second course was served. We chose to have a main course and a desert. Mine was rump steak and chips with peppercorn sauce, tasty steak cooked to perfection. I would have liked a little more salad, it was really just a trim. Our other main was pasta with lamb ragu. Excellent. Highly recommended
