A very pleasant experience. Visited this eating emporium on Easter Sunday to celebrate finding all 16 eggs that my partner had hidden around the house for me whilst she was re-grouting the bathroom tiles. I opted for the pork belly and black pudding starter, which was delightful. The black pudding was a very nice texture, rather than the usually hockey puck-esque puddings you get from most establishments. No, this black pudding resembled a slightly-softened weetabix in texture, except meaty and nicely seasoned. I also ordered the mussels starter with a white wine, garlic, and lemon sauce. My partner said that I don't need two starters because I had already eaten 1kg of mature cheddar before coming out, but I wanted them as I saw a woman eating them across the room. Considering this was a starter, the mussels were piled as far as the eye can see. Should the mussels have been golden dabloons, Davy Jones, he would have been exalted over the vast quantity offered. The mussels glistened in the sunlight beaming through the double-glazed uPVC windows, akin to a disco ball twirling away to the sound of Shy Boy, by Bananarama. For the main, I decided to have the fish platter, which consisted of sea bass, prawns, more mussels, squid, and a salmon fillet. I gorged on this bountiful feast until I could no longer eat. The food was all reasonably priced, too, which was a bonus as I lost £423 online last night playing competitive backgammon whilst distracted by Carl from The Walking Dead balancing on a train track whilst walking. Overall, it was an amazing experience. Actually, one of the best experiences of my life - and I've been to Beamish.

This is a well known spot locally with great food, fast service and great prices. The servers are the just the best, they always welcome you like family. Cocktails are delicious and very well priced. Plenty of parking and a view of the river is the icing on the cake.

Best pasta Arrabbiata I’ve ever had. It’s my favourite Italian sauce and I’ve had it in several different countries but none of it is as good as the one they serve here.

Great food this September evening. We both enjoyed chicken, mine with arrabiata sauce which was delicious. We had starters veg, salad and chunky chips. All really good. Quiet on this early Friday evening. The regular staff we had missed were there and were brilliant.

Difficult time’s with this Covid 19 however you wouldn’t even know when dining here. Service was amazing and the food too. Atmosphere was happy and friendly, full credit to the staff for having a full grip of this Covid and managing to provide service and food safely and to such a high standard

An unexpected treat of a Sunday lunch, I rang sambucas to book a table, the lady was pleasant, helpful and quick. Once I arrived the food was served fast, short waiting time. All health procedures are been followed to a high standard as well as the high quality of service and food. I would highly recommend!

Stopped for lunch one sunny Saturday mid cycle . Was able to lock our bikes to the railings outside which is also viable in the restaurant, plenty seat outside too. Food can’t go wrong £6 for 3 course, huge portions. I got seafood pasta which was the best I’ve had from a sambucas was packed with squid mussels and prawns, partners was also full of meat. Empty plates all round, finished off with a coffee when back on the bikes. Would have gave this place 5* but the coke was flat and tasted cheap. All the staff were lovely, place was full but had a relaxed atmosphere. Will be back again.

Had an enjoyable night with friends at Sambuca. I ate off the specials board having belly pork with black pudding in a peppercorn sauce followed by a chicken parmo. First time I’ve ever tried a parmo and to be honest I think I was digesting it for days! It’s quite a dish of breaded chicken covered in cheese. Food was enjoyable though. Not the place to go for a quiet night though. Restaurant is noisy but the waiters make your visit a whole dining experience an enjoyable night. A great venue for those with smaller children. A thoroughly enjoyable evening was had by all.

Restaurant great. Service second to none. Food fantastic. Great menu, plus lunch time set meals. We have been before and had lunch today and we will be back. Give it a try, you will love it.

Called in for a late lunch and we were not disappointed. Lovely food in a very cosy atmosphere. The staff were very attentive and we felt overall that it was very good value for money.

A good decent place to go for a very cheap family meal. Great food. Amazing chocolate brownie with ice cream.

We stopped here for late lunch as we'd just finished the C2C cycle. So glad we did. Felt authentic, meals plentiful, fresh tasting, no complaints at all. I'm not a fan of Italian food but wowed into submission now. Value good, food good, that'll do for me.

The place was full of life when we arrived at about 9pm on a recent Friday night. Service was quick and friendly and the menu extensive. The food was fine, nothing special but absolutely fine and reasonably priced.

Popped in here for tea .basically you get what you pay for , went for 3 course special potato skins ok , my partner had marinara pasta which she said was ok, i had lucifera pizza which was very bland .our son had chicken pizza which was not on specials and looked much better than the pizza i had , but as i said you get what you pay for .

Went here today for lunch it’s a really tiny restaurant. Had lunch special of potato skins and pizza and coffee which was £4.95 good value for money but the food was nothing to get excited about 🙁

Sambucas is a very nice family friendly restaurant. Nice bowl of soup on a freezing cold day. Followed by pizza and coffee £4.95. My husband was disappointed with his Lasagne,too much pasta not enough meat.

Regularmente visitamos este restaurante sambuca y nunca he tenido nada pero un gran servicio, gran relación calidad-precio y gran comida de precioso, el personal es amable. Siempre me hicieron sentir bienvenido con un ambiente agradable y su convertido en una visita rutinaria estamos cuando caminar a lo largo de la zona de Quayside. Nos encanta la sopa minestrone hasta helados hechos porque ayuda a cuidar de sus cinco días de consumo no hay problema!

He estado presente para almorzar , tambien, en el Sambuca de Witley Bay, Reino Unido, New Castle. Excelente , con mayusculas!!! la variedad de platos y el tamanio de los mismos es algo incredible. El precio accessible y la gentileza del personal , extraordinaria. Festejamos alli mi cumpleanios , no lo olvidare jamans.Gracias a todo el staff de los Restaurantes Sambuca.

Después de caminar desde la terminal del ferry, North Shields, mi novia y yo decidimos que intentaría Sambuca 2 6 año con su hija como habían sido de Sambuca en Sunderland hace unos días ...Caminamos a través de la puerta y en seguida nos recibió y nos indicó en la dirección de una mesa para nosotros tres. (no me molestó que llevaron a la mesa, ya que pudimos ver como era y también estaba muy ocupado, llegamos aproximadamente 13:15). En unos momentos nos ofrecieron bebidas (y otra vez minutos más tarde), está claro que el personal está ansioso por complacer (por ahora).El menú es lo que se puede esperar de una selección de aperitivos, pasta, pizza, pollo platos. (bistec también disponible).Después de un corto tiempo nuestro pedido de comida fue tomada y aunque la señora parecía un poco nervioso todavía era educado. No pedimos entrantes a 3 platos principales (los niños Spag bol y 2 pollo Kiev con patatas fritas).esperamos una edad! A pesar de estar lleno, ni siquiera si nos reconoció o una indicación de cómo una larga espera que teníamos que esperar pero nos sentamos en la esquina.Cuando la comida llegamos tengo que decir que era precioso! Soy un fanático de ajo y me fue bien atendidos en ese caso.Por desgracia, la comida no se correspondía con el servicio ya que no sólo había una larga espera para la comida, (una pequeña porción de patatas fritas podría haber sido más grande), la espera cuando terminamos era incluso más tiempo hasta el punto donde nos sentamos para casi 15 minutos antes de tener que pedir la factura.Esta crítica es un poco todo, siento que eso. comencé, mientras nos sentamos en una mesa y creo que la señora que nos llevó pagar notamos como ella se interesó en nuestros planes para el resto del día (espero que estoy equivocado en ese aspecto). Al dejar que oí una familia de 4 quejándose de la espera también habían experimentado.Esto iba a pizarra Sunderland Sambuca por su ambiente y comida pésima en comparación con el de aquí, sin embargo, debido a tiempos de espera me ha disminuido de un 4 estrellas a 3.Si el tiempo está de su lado, vaya aquí para comida degustación y buena relación calidad-precio, pero si quieres tener su comida en forma oportuna puede ser mejor que buscan un poco más lejos.

Went early on a Saturday evening. Restaurant was fairly quiet but not empty. Menu was typical Sambucas with a few extra pizzas. Ordered a couple of pizzas and drinks. Drinks came quickly with pizzas not far behind. Very nice. Offered desserts but wasn't hungry enough.

comida - Patatas Pieles, y patés entre 3 de nosotros, no cualquier lado placas, Penne carbonara estaba bien, pasta de pollo y no estuvo mal, pizza era realmente frío.Servicio - mesa reservado para 1 pm, cuando el 3 de nosotros llegamos a 12:45 mostradas directamente a la mesa como sólo otro ocupado. pescado Quay generalmente muy ocupado en un sábado soleado y el lugar gradualmente sustituidas. Una vez que el último de nosotros había terminado el último finos vi el gesto de gerente a la camarera a cambiarnos, nos preguntaron si cualquiera dulces que nos negamos, uno de nosotros pedimos un café blanco y negro de una y tuvimos que pedir dos veces por algo de leche. Pedimos la factura y nos la dieron a nosotros en un santiamén, obviamente quería nuestra mesa, pagué la cuenta y a la izquierda.General= lugar está cansado, fue un día con viento frío pero luminoso y el restaurante estaba helada, no nos ayudó con sillas de madera duras frías

I don't know where the 3 people with the bad reviews have been eating but it certainly wasn't Sambuca 2, I have been 3 times in th last month and everytime the food has been fantastic. The mangeress remembers us everytime we go in and makes us feel very welcome, I think maybe the people who have left bad comments were a a different restaurant and were confused about where they had been as everytime that ihave been things have been perfect.

Went to Sambuca 2 with my partner and we were both exceptionally pleased with the meal and the service. I challenge anyone to find a restaurant offering such a quality product at prices as reasonable as this. Would certainly return.

Eat there on Sunday 13th October afternoon on specials I believe.2 adults and 2 children and all four of use gave it the same review (Crap).Food was tastless, cold and greasy. Place looked dirty with flys.We visited the other Sambuca a couple of years ago and it was lovelly, however today that one was fully booked. We thought we would try the Sambuca 2 as it was empty, big mistake.It has to be one of the worst Italians I have been to.Atmosphere was crap.Only good part was the young girl who served us was very polite and good at her job.

Popped in on spec for a quick lunch. We were not disappointed. Good food and service for 3.95. Made a nice change from fish and chips. Can't comment on evening menu/service.

On April 16 myself and my family (4 of us altogether )came to sambuca 2 for my birthday meal ,reserved for 7pm.On my 23rd birthday I am so happy that we chose to come here.The staff were amazing , extremely polite and attentive , the food was delicious .Thank you very much ,we will definately return here!

We have been going to the Sambuca 2 and the other Sambuca Restaurants for several years,thats how good they have been.On this occassion we were very disappointed.No atmosphere, felt rushed.Got drinks order wrong,We were asked if we enjoyed our meal and replied no it was very poor compared to previous times,chicken kiev lacked Garlic,plate just covered in oil.Manageress had a problem with her attitude as it was the ladies on the next table made a comment that they weren't happy with there food either, which she overheard and asked us what was our problem (wrong table) ask the ladies at the next table.She did they also told her there meals were poor.Will not be back.

Rushed and awful service considering Saturday afternoon and not busy!!! Service was just awful...if you don't wish to serve customers do not be a waiter!!! Food was cheap yes but you expect a standard...I wouldn't rush back and if I do it will be the original one a few doors down... No atmosphere...

I defy anyone to find a better lunch time deal in the North East.Amazing value -£3.95 for starter, main course and coffee or ice cream, and they don't rip you off for drinks.The food is as good as any Italian pizza /pasta place I've been too, and better than most. It all tastes very fresh, is beautifully presented and there's plenty of it. Very fast service, means you can actually have all 3 courses even with 2 children.Booking essential at peak times- in the time we were there they had to turn away at least as many people as the restaurant seats - which makes me think: why don't they charge more? Hope they don't read this review and up their prices.

I have been to sambuca 1 many times and while it's not fine dining it is consistently good for the price. Tonight 8 of us went to Sambuca 2 for a friends leaving do. The starters were decent, for mains we ordered 5 T bones but were dissappointed to be told they did not have any, instead we ordered rib eyes. All of us like our steaks and after waiting for 45/60 mins our steaks came. We ordered medium but all of our steaks were very well done. No pinkness or redness at all and very tough. We told the waitress this but to our surprise she insisted that they were medium, she said on her words if they were well done they would have been BLACK! Conclusion stick to the cheap pasta and pizzas for well cooked meat stay away unless you like steak burnt to a crisp and dry as hell. Very Poor!
