The setting is absolutely stunning – picture-perfect views over the water, especially at sunset. What truly made the evening exceptional was the staff. Every member of the team was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming.

Step into The Salt Quay and you’re in true pub heaven, low beams, warm lighting, and the comforting buzz of laughter and clinking glasses. The terrace outside is amazingly situated next to the Thames and you can also have drinks and dinner upstairs. Most importantly they have shuffleboards!

Unfortunately, I had to edit my 5* review thanks to Sunny, the Asian lady serving at the bar this Friday evening. I went to order, and from the beginning her attitude was disgusting. I tried to order some food and I said I was by myself so I can’t leave my stuff outside while I order, she said I still need a table number, so I pointed to the table behind me and said I was happy to wait for it at the bar. She then said they are not serving food anymore, mind you it was 8pm. I’ve come here a few times and had a lovely experience, but I think this would be my last due to Sunny’s terrible attitude.

The place to be shows all sports and at rear watch all the ships go up and down the Thames.

The food leaves much to be desired....the best part was the outdoors, but now that they cut all the trees (which were not even theirs) during nesting season - I am never coming back

Outrageous that they dared cut the beautiful trees surrounding the pub, which were public property - 1 star rating for destroying nature

When I went it was busy but there were lots of free tables inside. The sun was out so it was understandable . The queues were long to get served at the bar. The app didn't work because they were too busy apparently. Ordering food at the bar was a 45min wait for the food to be brought out. My first drink was £6.85. some were a bit more and some were a bit less. The food was a little better than spoons.

Had a great experience, staff were very friendly and manager Marta was extremely helpful and took a good care of us. Will definitely return on a next occasion

It took a long time to get served at the bar as the bar staff were chatting among themselves and not bothered with customers waiting at the bar to get served . No apologies given by bar staff for the delay in serving us . On leaving the bar one of the bar staff expressed his indignation in an aggressive verbal way to me at having to collect empty glasses from tables . The bar was not busy either so it puts me off going back to this pub if the staff have a bad attitude to customers.

One of those places that make you appreciate a sunny day in London. Staff are easy going and friendly, if you like traditional pubs and sitting in sunny patios, this one should be on your short list

A cheerful riverside pub which I have been visting for over 15 years as it is my 'local'. The location is fantastic, the choice of beers and ales is perfect and the staff are polite. Great ambience , keep it up ! As a local artist, I have done a line and wash watercolour illustration of it...

Riverside pub I pass on a regular basis during weekend walks. Great views and good reasonably priced pub food. Plenty of seating indoor and outdoor and good range of draft beers.

Beautifully located pub on the Thames with a terrace. Very clean. Had a share of records. The tapas were good, as were the drinks.

Popped in after work today, and was really busy, but we was served quickly, wanted to leave review as a young lady called Jess made our visit so lovely, she was so busy but made sure we had all needed, very efficient, but a lovely smiley young lady, and polite, a credit to your team , and we will be back soon , thank you

Great riverside pub with loads of outside tables

The service is sadly quite terrible here. Really has the potential to be a better pub if their bartenders decide to treat their customers with a bit more respect. We went there after my husband completed the marathon (day after) to get a free drink as its a green king pub. However, firstly we were dismissed that it was only on the day - even though the offer is available till 1st of May. Then when I showed it to them on the website and mentioned it is written at the bottom, the bartender really didn't want to believe us and kept saying let me read the whole thing from top. Why would we lie to him? It's only a free pint. Also, not how you treat someone after they have completed the marathon. The staff really needs to learn how to be kind and understanding towards their customers. Maybe then there are chances of this pub getting any better.

Sunday dinner was OK but not a lot of meat only two small pieces and no one said about giving car reg in for parking so got a ticket not good

Amazing location, sometimes noisy music or sports events. Nice view from terrace. Food is below average in terms of quality.

Good place along the riverside with lot of seating options including indoors and outdoors. Quite a busy place. Fair food options, including a kid's menu. Good vibes, crowd and ambience.

Has such potential to be an amazing pub. Prime location and good drinks. Food was very poor. Have eaten here a few times as I’m local and it really is nothing special. Last meal we had there was the small plates sharing number and very average indeed. Asked the male server with long hair (I think manager?) what was gluten free and I received a very sassy response. He then got angry at us for taking too long to bring him a table number. It was a Tuesday lunch time….the pub was empty? Overall great for drinks in the sunshine but wouldn’t bother eating or expecting good service.

A really nice pub along the Thames walk, you can sit outside and look out at the Thames which is lovely on a sunny day. A good choice of beers and food and at a good price!!! Excellent staff really polite and friendly.

Had a great Friday night here recently. Awesome location on river with best views especially at night watching the City lights. Good customer vibe and staff were friendly, efficient and chatty. Good pub menu too. Can't wait to visit over the Summer months 😁😁

Haven’t attended much since the menu change as don’t feel the menu is as good! Used to attend regularly with my friend for lunch! We also held her wake here early this year

Mark was absolutely amazing, we had a large group booking. A very emotional wake for my brother, however what a gem of a man. Lovely experience as always. Today I’ve tried Steak and Ale pie. Mark was exceptional, he asked me for allergies. He offered sides and also paired beer with my meal. Food arrived promptly and was very tasty . Thank you and until next time 🫶

It is one of the best pubs/restaurants in London. Fantastic place to spend an afternoon, especially in the warmer months when you can sit beside the Thames with the London skyline in full view.

We come here regularly for the good food & beer selection, cozy atmosphere and friendly staff (shoutout to Paolo)! It’s our go-to pub in Rotherhithe, much more spacious and calm than others in the area. There are also student discounts and alcohol-free options. Very much recommended!!

Lovely pub with plenty of seats both outdoors and in. Great views. They even had shuffle board. Parking was free if you validate using the tablet.

I come here quite often and the first time I drove here and got a parking fine....

We held a wake at the Salt Quay which was handled with a lot of care and attention by Marta the general manager Marta has created a very welcoming and inclusive environment, the Salt Quay feels equally relaxed whilst still giving the impression of a high quality and professional atmosphere Would highly recommend an event, evening or lunch at the Salt Quay

Really nice pub by the river with great views, plenty of seating, and decent food. I only had a burger, fries, and a Coke, but it was good. The staff were really friendly and even brought a bowl of water and a treat for my puppy (yes, they are pet-friendly!). I love coming here on sunny days for a walk with my dog. I will visit it again.

Popped in for a break in my day and some moments of calm. I’m a local and visit often. A Tasty lunch, polite service, good quality drinks and great views river side. Always good. Thanks Paulo and all for your hard work to keep the pub running so well.

Great scenery by the River Thames. Accessible parking. Good pub grub. Paulo and the team were fabulous hosts and made our visit great. Recommend for anyone passing through the area.

A beautiful pub with a great atmosphere. The service we received from AJ at the bar is what took our experience from a nice pub trip to a warm and comforting experience. We were treated like old friends and made to feel truly at home. Wonderful service.
