We had a lovely time here. The food was great including the cocktails and the service was great too. When we was leaving, we were informed by staff to share that they are open on Christmas day for the lonely and homeless where they can get a free meal 💖

We stumbled upon this Turkish restaurant by chance, and it turned out to be a fantastic surprise. The warm, inviting atmosphere and friendly staff set the tone for a great experience. The food was outstanding—fresh, flavorful, and authentic. The sharing meat platter and tender lamb kebab were highlights, and the freshly baked bread was perfect. The staff was so welcoming and friendly that it gave us a fuzzy feeling inside! Despite being an unplanned visit, it was one of the best meals we’ve had in a while. Highly recommend!

Excellent food and even better service. We felt so welcomed and would really recommend this restaurant to anyone in the area. We were staying nearby for work and found good reviews for this place. So glad we went. We both had the mixed grill. The complimentary Turkish tea was an excellent touch. Everything was cooked and seasoned well and the meat was very tender and juicy. Do not hesitate to go here.

For us, this is the best Turkish restaurant we have ever tried in the UK. Service is always perfect, every single time we had a drink, a desert, a tea from the house. In terms of the food, fresh, perfect cook, we never had any issues. Salt and pepper platter is our favourit, a mix of lamb and chicken that melts. Go and convince yourself.

Great Turkish food Nice and friendly service

Went there with my wife for lunch today after seeing the great reviews . We was the only table in the restaurant. We love Turkish food and tried some of the best around. The service was great lady was friendly . But the food wasn’t so good . The Adana kebab was over cooked and very dry. My mix grill . Was also dry and over cooked . Not the best experience, and to top it up they don’t have plates they serve the food on chopping boards very unhygienic it’s got pores and will collect bacteria . Sadly won’t be visiting again ..

I am 38 years old and have lived in Turkey for all but the last year of my life. Food testing is my way of life. As someone who has done food testing in almost all cities of Turkey, I can clearly say that this is the only original and hygienic Turkish restaurant in the West midlands.

I can't say enough great things about this place! The service here is consistently exceptional—every visit feels special. Most recently, I took my sister here for her birthday lunch. It was just the two of us, leaving the baby with his dad, and we had the most amazing time. The food, as always, was fresh and cooked to perfection. I had the lamb ribs, which were absolutely mouthwatering. My sister opted for the mixed grill, and she couldn’t stop raving about it. The complimentary yoghurt sauce that came with her dish was a solid 10/10, and the salad was light and refreshing—perfectly balanced. They offer complimentary sides and introduce new items to try, which adds a personal touch that really sets this place apart. So me and my family decided to pick this restaurant based off reviews alone. Family of 5 on a Friday night, and we managed to get a table. The team at Salt and pepper looked after us all, very hospitable and the service on point. Now the food from the starters to the mains amazing, soo happy that we found this gem of a restaurant. Also we all noticed that the team work tirelessly to ensure you are looked after and the cleanliness again on point. Helps as my one child is very ocd. We all walked away very full and all had a conversation about how much we enjoyed the restaurant. Good point to note, none of us took our phones out, not even to take a pick of the food as we just loved the atmosphere.

We had a wonderful welcomes and very yummy food at SALT n PEPPER! there was a big group of us and they made us feel very welcome, the staff are friendly and helpful, the food is delicious, we ordered 3 family specials! And they offered us hot Turkish tea before we left. Definitely recommend eating here!

Although food and table service were both decent. I do have a relatively major point to make. I called to ask if they had a table free to which the restaurant confirmed. Me and my family 4 total attended, couldn't finish our meals because we were asked to leave early due to them overbooking. I give them the credit in reducing the bill, however I don't expect to be asked to leave my meal due to overbooking. Shame really. 1st experience was a poor experience because of this.

This hidden gem in Walsall is a must try. This restaurant was recommended to me and I am so glad that I tried it. The staff are so attentive, the service is 10/10. The food is absolutely amazing 👏. As it has become a favourite place of mine, I have tried a few items on the main menu. For starters, we always order the cold meza with bread. The bread is absolutely delicious. For mains, I have had the lamb cops (cooked to perfect) the salmon, chicken wrap, and lamb wrap(this is my absolute favourite, it's mouth watering). We always end the night with Turkish tea, dessert, I would highly recommend the cold rice pudding dish(not sure of its proper name) it's beautiful. I'm addicted. We also get a mocktail, which is always refreshing. The food is well priced, and we roughly spend around £27 per person. Which I think is greatly priced for the quality of food and portion size. Definitely give this place a try if you like Turkish food.

Book in advance it's very popular. Quite understandably The staff are amazing and so helpful and friendly and efficient. The decor is so clean and modern. The chef cooked the barbecue on open view but the room does not smell of cooking. The food is just as good as I have had living in and visiting Turkey over many years. And all this treasure is in Walsall! No wonder it's buzzing every night

Me and my wife, dined here last night the food was really beautiful we shared a mixed grill was plenty enough for us, the staff very polite and so helpful and friendly, also a good selection of drinks, I must say that the Turkish beer is great, definitely will be visiting here again in the near future 5* all round difficult to fault.

Best Turkish food I’ve had! We ordered the platter for 2/3 and everything tasted amazing. The meat was juicy and tender, the chicken was flavoursome and the humous with bread 😍. The service was great and the atmosphere was lovely.

We ordered the family platter and there was hair in the couscous. It completely ruined our experience and appetite. Please maintain proper food hygiene.

Overall a very good experience the service was great I had the chicken shish was bit dry lacking moisture could have been marinated longer I think for full flavour but still good portions, salads are amazing you can tell they care about what they are doing and that something i always consider and appreciate my wife love the fish and rice will definitely visit again but may have the lamb more to explore......... thank you guys overall good place no doubt

Came across this restaurant on a Facebook post so thought would give it a try after reading the good reviews. We were greeted very warmly and indeed had excellent and attentive service all evening. Menu selection was very good and all food was hot ,fresh and good sized portions. Finished off the evening with a lovely complementary Turkish tea . Overall a really lovely evening with great service and food and is certainly a place we will visit again.

Very welcoming restaurant. Maitre d' is very respectful and pleasant. Decor is tasteful and Turkish. Menus give a good array of traditional Turkish dishes. Plenty of Aubergine and yoghurt and shishes of all kinds. Food is plentiful, so beware of over-ordering. Complimentary accompaying salads and relishes come with starters & lovely warm Pide bread. Mains are served with plenty of rice or veg. A complimentary "rice" pudding in a ramekin and Turkish tea rounded off the meal. Attentive serving staff without being overbearing was appreciated. A definite return is planned. It's important to help such a restaurant in Walsall to survive as they serve well cooked simple foods at good value for money. Parking at Asda within 2hr free time span or free after 6.30pm adjacent to Lyndon House Hotel and outside The Guild Hall in High St., Disabled Parking spaces there too. There are a few parking spaces in Goodall St., which, be aware, is effectively one way beyond Freer St. Go into High St. and you can't return to Goodall Street.

Service was a bit disappointing, not sure if large groups were too much to handle by waitresses and managers just observing restaurants and numbers walking through the door. The food was okay and I won't be ordering a shared platter as an option as the photo is not what we got. Complimentary items were not even provided we had to ask for it and hot drinks! It's more ideal for couples or groups of 4 to be managed at this restaurant. They do not provide tap water however you can open bottled water and get charged!
