We went for a birthday meal, and the table was beautifully set with candles scattered around. Our waitress was very attentive, did timely check-backs, and was knowledgeable about the menu. I ordered the Diablo smash burger, and she mentioned it was a new addition. I had it without the bun and chips, but with all the sauces, salad, and coleslaw. Although I requested pickles, they didn’t come with the dish, but it wasn’t an issue as I was already full. I thoroughly enjoyed the meal, and the salad, slaw, and burger were more than enough. 10/10!

Simple, i dont expect to go into any eating establishment and have to register my personal details (phone/email) to get onto wifi and then have to repeat this on the app to order a burger. Then wait on awful wifi and have to repeat. Terrible experience and a waste of 15mins

It’s always a pleasure to eat here, the food is always delicious and hot. The staff are always friendly, and nothing is ever too much trouble. We will be back again soon.

We absolutely loved the whole ambiance of the place. There was so much to see and take in. Because I’m a coeliac, we had to order our food at the bar which was absolutely fine. When our food turned up, our poached eggs were slightly too hard but not a problem. Our plates were whisked away and returned with runny eggs. The food was delicious. We were not hurried in the slightest. And if we needed anyone, we just raised a hand and they were instantly at our table. I would definitely come again. And this time I would bring my family and my dogs too! I live in Hertfordshire so not close by. But absolutely loved the whole experience of visiting The Salero Lounge. Thank you.

Nice venue - noisy dog barking at everything that walked past didn’t help atmosphere. Food and drinks okay but the spoon with coffee dirty and glass with drink that luckily came with a bottle and straw was also dirty. Service - well you order on the app so can’t really comment as they just put the food down on the table couldn’t say bad or good. Don’t have uniform so hard to tell who staff are. Toilets clean but lighting in there really dingy. Glad the building now being made use of but wouldn’t return as think the Wetherspoon’s down the road has better service and value for money even when you do order via the app there too.

Updatw: Another excellent roast! Sharing platters were fab. Staff fitted us in short notice. Food was top drawer! Excellent roast! And I mean 1st class! 7 of us were seated and served within 10 minutes notice that we were coming! Very good service, polite staff. We were all really pleased with our meals especially the cauliflower cheese and tasty gravy. Will return for sure! Geoff Grove

Went here on Friday for a wake and they had closed the pub for this occasion ... The staff were just lovely and friendly and couldn't do enough for you. The food was absolutely gorgeous and well presented. The occasion was a sad affair as we had lost someone who meant the world to us but honestly I couldn't think of a nicer place and setting to end the day. Truly amazing!!

Visited this place for lunch on the way home from a shopping trip, the first thing we noticed were that the two ladies serving both had very untidy unkempt hair, none of them were wearing any sort of headwear to keep their hair off their faces, the welcome wasn't very warm either, the pies were slightly overdone but hot and the mash was just warm, the pies did not have a lot of flavour to them but there was a noticeable twang to them, possibly mixed herbs not quite sure, the meal was passable but doubt that we would eat there again, the hygiene issue needs to be addressed as we also noticed that the staff were also dragging big bags if potatoes around in between serving although they did put on a a pair of rubber gloves to do this but I doubt they washed their hands after taking the gloves off.

Set right on the side of the River Crouch. A proper English pub atmosphere and decor. Friendly, efficient service. Food good.
