Saint Brides Inn in Pembrokeshire

We have recently moved into the area and have had a few meals at St. Brides Inn, Little Haven. We have to say the staff are very friendly and attentive. Having visited on several occasions, we highly recommend the food. Comming from the United States, the salad is the best I have tasted in the UK. They have made my husband a salad lover...he hardly touched salad before having one of St. Brides Inn salads. If you love fresh fish, lobster and crab....this is the place to visit.

We spent two weeks in Wales and thought we would give this place a go. Sat outside, food came out quickly, almost too quickly. My partner had the scampi. It was terrible. Straight from the freezer isle of the supermarket. I had the fish special. Some kind of fish topped with breadcrumbs. It was disgusting, thinking about it now makes me feel sick. The breadcrumbs were an inch thick and mushy and wet. The fish was also mushy and the whole thing was totally tasteless. Needless to say we skipped dessert. I have no idea how this place has such a high rating. Avoid.

Wonderful little pub with friendly, helpful staff, great food and great beer!!! We stayed in Little Haven for 4 nights and ate at The Saint Brides Inn for 3 of them. The menu is plentiful with the Specials boards being filled with many more awesome choices. We ordered from the main menu on our first evening, but having been so impressed, we booked for the following 2 evenings and opted for the specials... so much choice and, looking around at other diners, all very generous portion sizes. Do book ahead as it can get a little busy, but you won't be rushed as tables are reserved for a 2 hour slot. Thoroughly recommend... it's a shame we're a 5 hour drive away or we'd definitely be regulars!!!

We are staying in Little Haven and have eaten here for the past 2 nights . Food drink and atmosphere top notch . So much so , we have booked for the third and final night . I would truly recommend the Lobster Thermidor , but if that’s not available the scallops are to die for too . Yum yum

We ordered two seafood pancakes with cheese sauce @ £20 each The meals came promptly but we were very disappointed. The sauce was very watery cream with no cheese only a sprinkle on the pancakes, chips were cold. I was offered an alternative but this was no better! The seafood platter in batter was over cooked nearly burnt! Although hot. Would not recommend.

Great food, great service, great atmosphere. Went on a friend's recommendation and was not at all disappointed. Fabulous fish main course followed by hard to beat deserts. 4 adults dining and all had food envy over the others orders. It all looked so good!

Booked table for 7.30. For 5 adults and 2 kids. Waitress took orders 7.50. Foot arrived 8.50. Kids and seniors not happy. Delighted to finally be fed. Apparently they had a large party upstairs who took priority. Food well below expectations. Batter on fish soggy and fish poorly cooked. No apologies or comments from staff. Hence no tip.

First visit for ourselves but not for friends who booked a table for the four of us. Food was well cooked, plentiful and well presented. Staff helpful, friendly. Toilets clean and presentable Definitely recommend if in this part of Wales.

Absolutely delicious food; we were greeted with a warm welcome; great ambiance. Would definitely recommend this cozy pub in a picturesque location.

We chose garlic mushrooms on brioche.calamari with sweet chilli sauce and Brie wedges.it was well presented and it all tasted delicious,it was the right amount for two people to share and the pub had a cosy feel to it.

This is one of several good restaurants in Little Haven. The car park is right opposite it and is free after 7pm ! The menu was excellent, the service was good and the food was lovely. My wife had their Pate (excellent) and then had their last half Lobster in a lobster salad - most enjoyable and fulsome with plenty of salad. I had Whitebait followed by Sea Bass. Best whitebait I have had for quite a while. The house Sauvignon Blanc was very acceptable.

Lunch/dinner. My dad and I were hiking along the Pembrokeshire coast path. We got to little haven at 14:02 and we were quite hungry. We went to look for some food and found the saint brides inn as only place serving food on this monday. Sadly thekitchen was officially closed at that moment. It closes at 14:00 and reopens at 17:30. Luckily for us the waitress was insanely nice and instantly hopped inside to ask the chef if they could handle just 1 more table. And it was possible! We got served straight away and the food was insanely good. Great portions and high quality. Full heartily recommended to visit this place.

We sat in the beer garden for drinks. Food looked amazing specialising with seafood … crab and lobster. We have a dog so the outdoor area was great although not dog friendly inside. Lovely pub inside, second occasion we have visited.

Went to St Brides pub for Sunday dinner, we ordered two beef dinners, myself and my wife was very disappointed with what we was served, the beef was tough as old boots, my wife asked for a steak knife to be able to cut the beef and still the beef was too tough to cut, the final straw was the roast potatoes was stone cold, in general the the whole dinner was warm at best. I complained to the owner (did not say anything young waitress as not to embarrass her). The owner was not very sympathetic towards my complaints, the owner said he would talk to the chef, on his return his only comment was, nobody else has complained and they are all local, actually we are local…I didn’t pay for the dinners, paid for the soft drinks, overall very very disappointed, spoiled the remainder of our day.

What a brilliant find! We are staying in a lovely cottage overlooking the St. Brides Bay in Broad Haven. Having tried some of the restaurants in the area, we came across The St, Brides Inn. I cannot imagine a better lunch! Lobster thermidor cooked EXACTLY as it was designed for Lovely warm, friendly service from people who obviously care. We had not booked a table and saw the pub was very full, but the landlord gave us a table upstairs in the window, which we thought was the best of all. The ale was lovely and the food was extremely tasty and generous portions. So good that we went back for more, a couple of days later!

On a very cold wet & very windy day, we need some thing to give us a lift & this excellent place did just that, the service from the bar then the restaurant was very good, plenty of choice on the menu plus specials board I had salmon & prawn pancakes in a cream sauce my husband had a small fish & chips to leave room for a pudding. Plenty of choice I chose ginger meringue hubbie choose sticky toffee pudding with custard both delicious. While paying we spoke to one of the owners who was telling us about his long association with the Life Boats. What a lovely gentleman. Would highly recommend but advise to book first.

Always enjoy a trip here . Good variety on the menu with a large array of specials on the board. Service is excellent , everyone was really friendly and made us feel welcome . Can’t fault anything so can’t wait to return !

Having been here before was looking forward to another Sunday roast. Very tasty beef dinner but disappointed with the quantity of vegetables between four. Tables near to us had same between two. Not even a tablespoon each of veg & the cabbage was a teaspoon each. Asked for more which we did then have but had to pay for extra cauliflower cheese. Last year your veg portions were bigger. Did enjoy though.

We had a lovely evening meal here. The food was very good and the staff were really friendly. The menu and specials were mainly fish based and my trio of baked fish was excellent. A very nice bar/restaurant.

A warm welcome from the staff and the pub had a lovely atmosphere. The menu was extensive and included a variety of smaller portioned meals too.

Great independent pub, with a friendly welcome and service. After a rainy day we enjoyed big portions of fish and chips, a decent pint and a glass of wine at sensible prices. Good old fashioned pub food. Recommended.

I felt I had to review St Brides Inn again as I disagree with the comments left by Carole P. We visit this pub on a regular basis and always find something delicious on the menu or specials board and judging by the popularity and footfall many other people agree, regardless of whether they are local or tourists. I would also argue the old adage ‘ if it ain’t broke don’t fix it.’ therefore, I don’t see a pressing need to change their menu, they clearly know their target audience. In my opinion the staff work incredibly hard and truly aim to delight. Our last bill was just £45 for two mains and drinks, hardly breaks the bank ? Also, the portion sizes are large, whereby I have witnessed some people asking for doggy bags for a takeaway. I call that value for money. I wholeheartedly recommend this pub, and look forward to my next visit 😋

Clearly geared to the holiday trade. Menu hasn't changed in years, neither has the specials board. Fishcake duo very disappointing...more like fritters. Would do better getting their Thai fishcakes from Lidl. I was in a difficult position as someone else had booked the table, but I shall not be going back. Haven't had a decent meal there for a long time. Staff very pleasant, but our mains were brought to our table whilst we were still eating our starters. Food taken away, but 'not our meals'. Expensive for what we had (plus tip, which on my own I should not have left.)

We had a lovely Sunday Roast at the St Brides Inn, in the pretty village of Little Haven. Plenty of food, lovely veg and loads of gravy. The puddings were delicious. The pub is cosy and traditional, and the staff were friendly. Would recommend.

Spent a few hours in Little Haven as part of a very long day trip. As a family we love Little Haven and try to visit at least once a year. Called in to St Brides Inn for some dinner before the 4 hour journey home. Very large menu choice. In our opinion very good value for money. My wife and son had the sea food pick and mix, although both went for all five options. There was a lot of food on their plates. I had the sea bass and veg, tis was filling, well cooked and presented well. Friendly service without being "in your face".

A lovely little friendly pub with good customer service. Unfortunately the food let them down. Being vegan, I have to manage my expectations somewhat, however this was by far the worst vegan meal, I’ve ever had. The lentil bake was basically tasteless mush, like a wet, bubble and squeak and the seasonal vegetables were overcooked, with bog standard frozen chips. At £12, it was extremely over priced. In this day and age, in a tourist hot spot, they really need to up their game with their vegan options! Very disappointing! Should have gone to The Sunshine Restaurant in Broadhaven, they have great vegan options and all freshly cooked and delicious.

We discovered this pub on the first day of our holiday and because the food was so good and the service amazing we returned on 2 more occasions during our week away. Would definitely recommend if you like sea food, although the steak pie was good as well. Our only disappointment was that we didn’t have the lobster the first time we visited, because it was sold out when we visited again.

Gorgeous location nestled in Little Haven. Extremely welcoming and friendly service! Succulent crab sandwich, gorgeous garlic mushrooms and chips made to perfection. The presentation was excellent and everything was beautifully cooked. Dog friendly outside, ample and cosy outdoor seating.
