Sainsbury's Restuarant in Thurrock

We went for breakfast. I had porridge which was a really small amount so had scrambled egg too, but that was pretty tasteless. Went back 2 days later, had porridge again, this time it was a large portion so quite inconsistent.

Ok not expecting Michelin star food, but last few times been in there on a Saturday afternoon after shopping, was told not serving hot food. When they are serving hot food most items on menu are not available. The drinks machine was not working and they seem to have a problem with staff. Too the manager who was sitting nearby - heard the expression "don't wear you dirty linen in public" ringing staff up try to persuade them to come in and cursing them if they said no.

We shop here so we thought it's time we tried the cafe/restaurant, and it was a mistake, eggsellent, we will be back for more in 2019, Happy New year to you all

Even with the changes that their restaurant underwent recently, Georgette who is the team leader there, managed to stay on top and keep her cool, making for a great end to a shopping trip. Always clean and if not swiftly resolved at point of notice. She has a good team and the allday breakfast with chips is a belly buster

If you want afabulous night out go to La Quinta Benfleet. Entertainment was the Jersey Boys Tribute act. absolutely fabulous They have various other tributes too..Food is the best in Essex. Service great nothing is to much trouble. Hosts are very friendly and always make you welcome.great night out disco also very good.

Staying locally while I'm doing a driving course so popped in for dinner. They say they are open until 7pm but they didn't like me arriving at 630pm. The lady was very pleasant, but explained to me that the driers had been turned off so I have limited choices. The meal was fine, but clearly zapped in the microwave

Popped in for breakfast this morning before doing out shopping. Customer service was faultless and the Big Breakfast was delicious. They butter the toast while it is still hot which makes all the difference.

Sainsburys do a great breakfast sandwich. The sandwich is huge and it contains egg,bacon and tomato sauce in 2 thick slices of white bloomer break. It's a must to try

Ideal place for a quick bite and a cup of tea at a fair price.Friendly staff and a good choice of food.Though busy did not have to wait long to be served.

Only been here once but the staff were friendly and helpful and the food was reasonably priced and tasty. Whether you eat before or after doing your shopping or just pop in for lunch I'd heartily recommend you give it a try

Went there for lunch today previous comment stated probably the best Fish & Chips locally it was the worst meal we had anywhere don't know what the previous commenter was used to for ours was not fit to feed pigs with even complaining achieved nothing

As this is our local Sainsbury's, my wife and I are regulars at both the supermarket and restaurant. The restaurant is clean and comfortable and the service good. A nice touch is that daily newspapers are provided free of charge to read whilst waiting for your order to be served. The menu is fairly comprehensive and provides delicious meals at competitive prices. Today, Thursday 18 June, I had cod & chips with mushy peas (on a special offer of only £4-50) and my wife had paella. Both meals were exceedingly good, as they always are. The cod and chips are one of my favourite meals from Sainsbury's Restaurant, and I am always amazed that their consistently high standard never varies. I can honestly say that they are probably the best fish and chips in the area. If you are shopping in Sainsbury's supermarket at Chafford Hundred, or filling up with petrol at their service station, why not give the restaurant a try - as I said previously, the fish and chips are delicious!!!! Great tasting food, great value for money, big portions, but slow service of food delivered to your table. A great family friendly restuarant and relaxed atmosphere.
