Went to cafe after doing shopping with my partner and his mum. Bought 2 turkey baguette. Dont buy. They covered the whole lot in gravy. The baguette was soggy wet. You even get a little gravy boat , what for I do not no. They should not put gravy on it if they give you a gravy boat full of gravy. Shame really, as it did look nice on the picture behind the counter. Got covered in gravy. Never again.

I have eaten here lots of times, the food is always hot and nicely presented. There is sometimes issues with meals being unavailable. Queues not too bad when I have been.

The first time I had a bad experience at my local sainsburys cafe I turned a blind eye to it as we anr only human and people do have bad days.... I am now on my 4th experience and its the same situation constantly.... The attitude of the staff in the cafe is disgusting..... (as specially the older one on the till with the attitude pout and weekend makeup still on) They have never once got an order correct and when you question it all you get is huffs and puffs and looks to kill..... This is a shame as the food is normally very good....

The huge queue snakes round in front of the counter, lunchtime on a wednesday. (12.30) The v grumpy woman let us play battleships with the main menu, most hot food unavailable on a small menu. When we eventually picked something they actually had, we waited ages, they got the table number wrong, forgot one of the two meals and the food! Omg the food is not food! The baked potato was so cold with no butter the grated cheese didn't melt on it. My sister's rubber chicken hot bagette had a brown glue on it that I think was meant to be gravy.... terrible. Don't come here

It’s ok I guess but not the best. Food for children quite small portions. Much of the food seems like the microwave food they sell in store. Clean and tidy place. Service can be quite slow

We decided to have our lunch after shopping in the store. Both had fish and chips, the BOSS had garden peas I had mushy. This is the great debate , you either like mushy peas or you don’t, I do but I also like garden. Food tasty , service quick and friendly.

We go quite often for a cuppa and toast but unfortunately not enough staff. They are run ragged in there staff multi tasking and coffee machine takes too long to make holding the queue up. Staff carry on regardless and are hardworking you just need lots more hands on staff to help during breakfast and lunch times to give better service.

Popped in here for the first time for a quick breakfast in February. Ordered bacon on toast and cappuccino - despite the young lady behind counter asking me twice at two different times did I want chocolate on top to which I said no each time - I still got the chocolate on top.....( I was the only one in the queue too).... Bread only average to poor quality and bacon to match - very average and a very forgettable bacon butty - far better in smaller sole trader places in area. Would rather pay a bit more for better bread and bacon...... Restaurant/café area and toilets all very clean as you would expect from Sainsbury's.

Booked for my birthday, arrived and they didn’t have us down so we had to show proof .. on arrival told them we wanted to upgrade to cocktails.. as the drinks included was wine or beer or Prosecco, so the cocktails come along , a bottle of Prosecco and a jug of orange juice ! So basically paid an extra £10 each for a jug of juice ! The food was basically a Chinese starter ! In total £100 for a bottle of Prosecco (aldi Prosecco) and a Chinese starter ! Oh and the shots at the end was a shot of the juice .. only thing that saved it was the saxophone player .. never again

It's not often I leave a second review on a TripAdvisor page but I thought this was warranted. I arrived at around 8:30 in the morning, ie. when the coffee shop should be fully stocked. One thing which I will note about this place is that their variety of hot drinks is very extensive. I, however, decided to keep things simple and order an English breakfast tea and a croissant. The member of staff then informed me that they had no tea in stock! Never in my life had I been to a coffee shop and been denied an order of something as simple as tea. To make matters worse, they had plenty of herbal teas in stock; just not the most basic thing on the menu. To make matters worse, the staff didn't even serve butter or a knife with my croissant and, despite making it clear that I was sitting in, served it to me in a plastic bag as opposed to a ceramic plate. Very strange considering how environmentally conscious the University of Liverpool claims to be. I will never return to this badly run coffee shop.

With hours to kill before catching our flight to Wroclaw for a six days holiday in that most cute of Polish city's we dropped into this bar ,its now called Sable & Co Bar & Kitchen, more or less same layout but a bit bigger, beers were really good we sampled but prices were as expected airport prices meaning inflated ,enjoyed our visit here before we moved on to catch our flight.
