Visited cafe twice a week for years with 4 friends. Good food and staff just wondering when the cafe at marus bridge wigan is going to open agsin. X loads of people miss it. X

Visited today after not visiting since before the first lockdown. Looks like the set up has changed as there is no longer a menu of full meals. Having said that, if you want a coffee shop experience, the cheese & ham toastie, scone and coffee I had were decent.

We have shopped at this store for over 25 years, NEVER AGAIN! upon entering the store my path was blocked by an aggressive member of staff in a high-viz jacket who demanded to know if “I lived in the same household as her” whilst pointing at my wife. What rude and aggressive behaviour! the store is full of miserable staff who all look like they hate their jobs and their lives! The supermarket next door is much friendlier with nice staff.

Called in for lunch as I had missed breakfast that day. I had a new item on the menu - a curry pie. It was very good (pastry too hard though). Big bowl of sweet potato chips went well with it and a couple of huge mugs of coffee. Very friendly and helpful staff. The food was good if a little costly.

Arrived at 2.30pm, wanting hot food. Cafe only shuts at 4pm. Told we couldn’t have hot food just paninis, no explanation why even though a sign said no hot food after 3pm, didn’t direct me where the paninis were didn’t even look up from her counter actually. Dreadful customer service too busy pricing up and closing than actually getting money from customers. My friends & family go to Sainsbury’s all the time, I will definitely be telling them of this dreadful experience, I’ve raised a formal complaint made me infuriated!

today we visited Sainsbury’s cafe we Ordered 3 big breakfast an Ham Chips n egg. 30 mins we had to wait for or order. When it come out mine had a massive hair on it. When I told the lady she just said took it away an said she would give me a refund. But didn’t ask if I wanted anything else to eat!! Then my daughter had this pink stuff on her egg again brought it to the attention of the staff. She give a refund but left the food in front of my daughter once again not asking if there was anything else she would of preferred. So we both left hungry an very disappointed.

We came here today, my roast potato was cold, my husband founds plastic in his baguette and the food altogether was not nice. Wouldn’t recommend, this cafe has seriously gone down hill.

I have been here with my husband on numerous occasions and we have never been disappointed with the food. On this occasion I had a delicious ham salad with bread roll and my husband had the very generously portioned breakfast brunch. I will certainly be visiting again and again.

Cracking breakfast for a veggie or meat eater. Lovely every time with great staff...nice coffees and cakes too.

Not an extensive menu but quality food served by friendly staff at reasonable prices. Ideal for youngsters as they have meal boxes.

After shopping we called upstairs for a cappuccino and cake. It was much better tasting than on my previous visit. There is a reasonable choice of fresh hot meals or snacks available, all modestly priced. The café staff were clearing tables very frequently to maintain a nice appearance.

A very clean restaurant with loads of space. The choice of menu options is good, based on Sainsburys product range.
