BEWARE OF BAKERY! The young lady Becca who works behind the bakery counter was seen licking and nibbling the icing off the cupcakes and placing them back on the shelves for customers to purchase!

Good place to shop plenty of parking and a decent selection of food and wine. All the benefits of a big shop as there are toilets, petrol station, cafe, an in store Argos , also a Specsavers opticians. The problem with the place used to be the constant reorganization of the shelves. Thankfully this has now stopped and the store has settled down a bit with some consistency of goods remaining where they were. The use of the smart shop hand-held device also reduces the time taken to get out significantly.

So, we all have to enjoy the new shopping experience of doing the checkout operator's job using handsets to scan your purchases, all at the cost of staff as they cut jobs, but what other joyous effects are there? Well mainly the dreaded 'time for a quick check' message when you go to checkout. We made a mistake many months ago, forgetting to scan a single, loose mushroom and ever since then our card is marked and we 'enjoy' quick check after quick check. Last week the assistant made a mistake, scanning one item twice in error, lights flashed, alarm bells rang, the shutters automatically closed so no one could escape & we had to suffer the ignominy of a complete rescan thanks to her mistake. Well I might have exaggerated part of that, but it was torturous as the first rescan didn't work and it had to be completely redone whilst a large amount of frozen food we had warmed up nicely.... I complained when I got home, but Sainsbury's haven't bothered to respond. So we went back one week later... you can guess what happened, so a simple question, does Sainsbury's system record these occasions and force 'quick checks' more frequently for perpetrators?

Also I have to check onions, tomatos and other things just to be sure I am not buying something old as quite often they put one of fine old. You can buy NISHIKI brand rice at every big Sainsbury’s. I had been buying it for the past 3 months. However, I found two dried bugs in the rice. And the quality of the rice continued to deteriorate. If you want to buy asian rice, always buy Japanese rice, Japanese products are the best but expensive. Additionally, Bugs have to ‘NOT’ be in rice. That is absolutely repulsive. I don’t want to eat bug friendly rice. And Sainsbury’s apparently supports bug friendly rice, great. This is why you always have to wash rice before cooking it. if you cooked rice with bugs in it, the bugs would be split into pieces, resulting in those soaking through the rice. And you will consume them. ps. there's no pictures of bugs because I was very shocked and threw them away instantaneously down the sink. you can at least see the quality of the rice from my picture. hope it helps you.

Only issue is every time I go there they tend to have fewer tills open and on a Saturday too, so had to wait about 10 minutes to pay. Will use the Sainsburys Smartshop App next time. Much quicker. Also excellent service at the tills by very friendly staff who give you the time of the day, and give that personal touch. Handy as it's big and has a big car park, if you live in the area. However, stacked up against other supermarkets, the prices are a bit higher. They do always have a good selection of world foods though that others don't. Criticism would be that the enormous amount of blue badge parking spaces are often not taken up, no problem, but when they are, they're often taken by non-display of badge holders, and this is seemingly not policed

Visited many branches of Sainsbury, during my stay at London. Cool thing I have notices is self check out. Also with devices, when you enter the store you grab a device, and when you are adding products to the cart, you can scan them, when checking out you can simply scan your card pay the bill and thats it. You dobt need to wait in long queues at checkout counters. Many grocerries items are available.

Sainsbury's St Clare receives mixed reviews. While some customers commend the store for its cleanliness, friendly staff, and diverse product range, others decry its shortcomings in customer service, stock availability, and the absence of self-scan guns. Here is a breakdown of the pros and cons at Sainsbury's St Clare: Pros: 1. Clean and well-maintained store 2. Extensive variety of products 3. Some staff members are friendly and helpful Cons: 1. Instances of rude and unhelpful staff 2. Issues with stock shortages 3. Absence of self-scan guns Ultimately, whether or not I would recommend Sainsbury's St Clare depends on individual priorities. If you prioritize a clean and well-stocked supermarket, then Sainsbury's St Clare is a viable option. However, if exceptional customer service is a top priority, you may want to explore other shopping alternatives.

We went to the supper club. It's fantastic value for money - at £65 pp it includes a fabulous 3 course meal with wine pairings and Luce is very generous with his measures! It's a great way to meet new people in a beautiful setting right on the Thames. You really must go - not emperor's new clothes - gorgeous food at un-inflated prices. Thoroughly recommend.

I was looking for a new Chinese takeaway, after reading reviews I decided to give this place a go. Upon arrival I found the decor to be a little shabby, for example, removal of the Covid screen is long overdue, made the experience a little impersonal or detached, like a petrol station after 10pm, ordering thru a hole in the Perspex. My server was polite and hospitable, managed to smile and took my order quickly and accurately, although this was interrupted by a telephone order, which I accept is their M.O. I was advised of a fifteen minute wait, my order was ready on time. After a ten minute journey home, my food was still hot. I found the (5) Crispy Pancake Roll very crispy, however may require more seasoning, a little salt corrected this. (30) Kung Po Pork, was excellent, considerably more onion and carrot than pork, however really scratched my itch for spice and sweet, would definitely order again. (82) Special Fried Rice was loaded with pork, prawn and chicken, and was a generous portion; however the rice was not consistently fried and parts had a taste and feel of boiled rice. I’d also like to see more egg? The three dishes came to £17 something, which isn’t too bad I guess, the portions were large and of good quality. My criticism of the food is due to my own personal tastes and I recognise that the takeaway was quite busy. I recommend and will be frequenting this establishment. And there’s a pub next door…

Always loved the Ivy in Richmond but not sure we’ll be heading back anytime soon. The restaurant is starting to feel very tired with our chairs missing fabric on the arms due to their age. The service wasn’t great (verging on rude) but the prices have now rocketed. This restaurant has long felt like a real treat without being a rip off. Sadly, we felt last night that we had very poor value for money. Food still tasty but if the Ivy is going to charge top prices it needs to do better. Two main courses (with sides) and two drinks each was well over £120. Until now a trip to the Ivy was an easy decision - sadly, we think we’ll try somewhere else next time.
