Lasses are local and friendly..never disappointed with the quality of the food..always good craic and friendly despite how busy they are. Look after their customers..prices are decent in line with others (everything going up) but never had a bad fish yet!!

Genuinely the best chip shop around. May be the best one I’ve ever had! Food is always really fresh, great quality, and tasty. The curry sauce is the perfect chip shop curry sauce. We ate here 6 days in a row because we enjoyed it so much and I was too unwell to cook, we still wanted it again the next day. If i could give it 100 stars i would!

Absolutely Terrible !!! Fish was dry and batter rock hard like it had been in the warmer for hours. Chips even worse were all shrivelled up and hard lots of small bits of potato like bullets. Never had anything like this from here before but won't be in a hurry to go back.

This is a really lovely friendly, fresh and clean fish shop, Raj and her staff are always friendly and also lovely food at good prices.

The staff are great and try to help you all the time also you can get your order delivered

The portions are really generous but the chips were a bit on the greasy side for me. The fish was tasty though so I would go back.

My order.. Hamburger and chips, large plain sausage and large chips. The result. Ropey piece of meat battered, no bun, battered small sausage, small chips. Must have been out of salt, vinegar and manners

After placing my order at 11.38 am today to be delivered i,m still waiting at 12.53 for it to arrive, rang the shop to see what the problem is to be told it,ll be another 20 mins or so. Not happy

I thought I would try again after a couple of years absence due to poor service in the past. I have tried twice in the last two weeks. Big mistake First time ordered a small sausage special. Chips sausage and peas. Also a cheeseburger. What a shame the sausage undercooked and the cheeseburger a huge disservice to cheeseburgers elsewhere. Probably the cheapest burger they could buy in to sell. It shrivelled up to look like a flat piece of dark leather with a cheese slice slapped on in a dry bun what a waste of money. The second time was today I asked for a portion of chips there are 2 prices displayed and I was given the smallest bag of chips for the most expensive price. I will only get ripped off once. They still have not improved what a shame. Thank god there are better chip shops in the area that give proper portions and even if they cost more I still think they offer better value for money and taste. I feel sorry for some of the staff that work there as some of them really try

The only place in the area where you can get a cheese patty and see and taste the cheese. I'm very particular about my fish and chips and they always get it right. A little more expensive than other places but worth every penny.

Absolutely amazing , proper fish and chips. Serving size was definitely value for your money. Would definitely recommend this fish and chip shop. Will definitely be returning.

really good quality, great staff and very good prices but closes too early.

Food come worng order so rang to be told we got extra instead off trying to fix our order as what we got wasn't want we wanted there was a spoon full off garlic on chips and kebab was like rubber will definitely not be going back.

Food came very quick, but the food, well was awful! Kabab meat was so hard, my 1yo chocked on it! Felt like it had been left for about a week! The chips where lovley! The sausages where nice but tasted a little funny, might be because weve never used this place. The garlic was so watered down, barely tasted ikel garic, to us anyways. The curry is nice. For my experience id say overpriced for the quality of food presented. When i rang them 3 times no answer.

Staff was absolutely disgraceful,my fish was under cooked and they didn’t even ask me for vinegar and salt, the chips were as dark as my matte black fiat punto and I waited at least 30 mins just for a small fish with some curry sauce, by that time I could of done a lap round Shotton and went into Shotton fast foods for a kebab, I went home and my daughter was fast asleep and food went in the bin like next week

Can you imagine having to stand and wait half an hour in a chip shop to get your evening meal and take it home? Can you imagine a chip shop which is apparently highly regarded and barely an hour into their evening not having any curry sauce, scampi, chicken nuggets? Can you imagine trying to stifle laughter as a bumbling, somewhat aged, delivery driver has to be told the same instructions about five times before figuring out what he’s supposed to be doing? Can you imagine a level of customer service where the two women behind the counter seem more interested in bantering with the ‘regular’ customers about literally nothing, rather than trying to reassure new customers their wait was of an unusually long length? And can you imagine, after all that, upon receiving the food you’ve stood patiently waiting half an hour for, you get no apology or thankyou for your custom? Definitely not going back there again... A truly awful experience and even if it was one which would unlikely to get repeated, in terms of the time taken, I’d never want to see the women working there again.

Food is ok, when busy everything cooked to order and fresh but they're can be a very long wait if you catch it wrong. Nothing special but prices are ok.

Best chippy in the area & I've tried them all, good portions, fish cakes are huge and very good, fish is good and good sizes. As others have stated parking is a problem.

Clean place and staff are mostly quick and efficient. Fish is usually juicy and good size portions - far bigger than Bells for less money. Parking outside is poor.

Staff rush everything sausages were under cooked no salt and vinegar on chips didnt even get time to ask cuz she was rushing me out the door wont be back..

Only concern is parking staff very efficient and pleasant
