Sahara Shisha Cafe in Belfast

Over recent decades, some things have deteriorated in Botanic when it comes to cafés and food: the Other Place, which did generous portions and student discounts back in the day, has closed; places like Clements have seen the standard of their sandwiches drop. Big chains, like Café Nero, have good coffee but lots of pre-made versions of the ham and cheese sandwich that are okay for a quick bite but not so good if you want something more nutricious. With its great food, lovely atmosphere and exceptionally friendly and attentive service, Sahara is a great alternative. They always have freshly cooked specials that arrive with an abundance of fresh bread and the staff will come back to ask if you want anything more. Great spot for the tourist and locals / local workers alike.

Always nice and fresh food. Good quality dishes and high level of service. Unfortunately can't visit this place often, but Always happy to be here. Read some poor and senseless reviews))) And can advise: if you don't like something, you can eat somewhere else.....Botanic avenue is big 🤷‍♀️

I had an exquisite and spicy stew of meat, potatoes, tomato and pepper for lunch. Very friendly owner, who gave us two different stews to try so we could choose. We also had a coffee in the sun there afterwards. Perfect.

Thieves ..they will charge more than the menu . Edited after your reply.... Not only thieves .. You are also rude ..if I were you .. I will say come back and let us review the camera..if it's not Your instructions ! Then your employees stealing from you .. stupid

The food was amazing.The music was also really good. The staff is very polite. But the service is slow. It took them half an hour to set up the sheesha. There was no shawarma, baklava or any other sweets. It was all over.

Very relaxed atmosphere, called in and had the Turkish breakfast and a Turkish coffee, all the ingredients where very fresh and was very tasty, the girl who served me was very polite. An all round great breakfast. Will definitely return.

The worst experience. I got charged £10 for this Adnan kebab with a few bits of salad and a soggy wrap. A total waste of money.

Nice place to relax and have a shisha. they do very nice Turkish food fresh and tasty. After ur launch don’t forget to ask for a Turkish tea and baklava. The owner and all staff are very kind and nice. Very nice shisha flavours, i would recommend to try the LOVE66 .

good place, but limited flavour option. if ur indian u wont like the flavour. coconut coal used. food is good . shisha flavout starts from 15 pound.

My husband and I love the food here. Lamb shawarma every Sunday is authentic and fresh! Staff are very friendly, special mention to Matin, Honey and Alana and of course, the great chef Lattif

Home made Turkish food. And Turkish kebab. And they also have different flavours of shisha. Good place to visit

A friendly and inviting atmosphere with great coffee and baklava enjoyed on my recent visit. Ample seating within and streetside. A good spot for people watching or to enjoy a cigar.

Friendly, ordered a chicken kebab with coffee. Kebab was delicious and coffee really good,came with warm milk. Def will return.

Turkish food but price for Kunefe/baklava & desserts bit expensive ( kunefe was dried up considering falafel charge 2.50 and theirs taste & look fresh & price of hot food is a bit overpriced along with soft drinks but hot drinks are decent price place is clean and staff are always friendly and food is always quick customer service is excellent nothing servers couldve done different

Tbh it's clean place and nice Why u don't accept cards guys !! Cash only it's not worth it And last time we asked invoice the guys who working there they said our system is down 🤭😅 how comes !!!

Nice place, very welcoming staff. Not too close to the city centre, but is worth the walk for a good shisha! Nice prices, but bring cash, no cards accepted.

Not too long opened and I discovered this through a Turkish friend. They do authentic food especially at lunch time. I have only been in evening when most is sold out. But their Turkish çay and Turkish coffee is great. As is the usual coffees. I like the Turkish tost which consists of panini,śucuk sausage,green pepper,white cheese all toasted with a garnish of coleslaw and doritos. Very nice snack. Great atmosphere outside in this nice weather. Well decorated inside. Well worth a visit.

I just got food to go from this place which was a meatballs with rice for £10 but when I got home I was shocked at the size of the portion which was 3 micro meatballs with really hard potatoes and carrots and was freezing no taste at all, straight to the bin waste of money never again.

Visited the cafe for the Turkish Tea for starters but then ended up in also having a Turkish Coffee and a Shisha Grenadine and some Baclava. The staff was quite nice and friendly and the place is quite clean as well. This cafe would be more suited for adults and not much for kids I'd say. The coffee would be a really good drink for coffee drinkers as it feels like a strong Cuban Roast but too strong for the ones who just want to try it. The Turkish Tea resembles Earl Grey. The Baclava was a bit too full with the peanut powder which wasn't what I expected. I have given it a go mainly for Shisha but wouldn't prefer the Grenadine flavour. Also, the prices are a bit steep for a small shot of hot beverages and the place is Cash Only 🙂
