Duke of York in Belfast

A group of us called in here for a few drinks and somewhere we could chat. A very nice old fashioned pub. We were told on the door that there wasn't any live music on but we were welcome to go in. So glad we did. If you need a quiet drink in a proper pub I would recommend that you visit The Duke of York

Quick Guinness in an amazing pub. You can feel the history in the snugs, it's a fabulous interior.

The place is super cool and has a lot of history. We caught live music and it was very comfortable for a Monday. 100% recommended, looking forward to returning.

This pub is, without a doubt, my favourite place to drink in Belfast. The manager is always so professional and friendly, the atmosphere is superb, the bar is always clean, and you can have a choice of 3 different stouts (Guinness, Beamish and Murphy’s).

Beautiful pub, the atmosphete is impressive, the walls and ceilings are filled with years of pub decorations that gives this place a charm you find noxhere else. The service is fast and the beers not so expensive considering the location. Everyone was smiling and having fun I strongly recommend !

You can get overstimulated in this pub full of beer signs and other decorations, but it has an undeniable charm. Very popular and therefore busy establishment, partly thanks to the courteous and prompt service, the live music and the pleasant ambiance.

Good variations of Irish whiskeys

Our first stop in Belfast for our first pint of Guinness. Really good vibes here and the Guinness was poured perfectly. Very crowded when we went (Saturday night and a big rugby tournament on tv) so we just had the drinks and went on our way. Staff was very friendly.

Probably the best pub in Belfast? Just incogood Guinness, Good service, Clean, Music, the walls the only fault is hard to get a table... but you'll have this problem everywhere.

Really good place for a beer. Staff were really knowledgeable, the decor was slightly insane but it all worked. We spent most of the afternoon here and had a great time.

Amazing pub in the heart of the Cathedral Quarter down a beautifully lit side street. A really vibrant, unique pub full of interesting memorabilia. The staff are some of the best I've ever seen, they can clear the bar in no time, and as soon as I got within the vicinity of the bar I was asked if I was waiting to be served, whether it be on a busy Saturday night or a bustling Sunday afternoon. The Guinness was one of the best I've had in Belfast too. A must visit!

A quirky and a must to see with all the memorabilia on the walls and ceiling. There was live music which was good. The atmosphere was great. Everyone was singing along. Loved the little up umbrellas in the alleyway leading up to the pub.

It is an amazing pub, very attractive folklore, and nostalgic environment. With a load of decoration that keeps you busy for hours. They have skillfully fitted a lot of stuff into the walls and ceiling, way more than a big museum!

El Duque de York en Belfast es un pub de visita obligada, repleto de carácter e historia. Sus paredes están repletas de una increíble cantidad de bric - a - brac, creando un ambiente visualmente fascinante y auténtico. Situado en uno de los callejones más emblemáticos de Belfast, adornado con paraguas de colores y luces centelleantes, el entorno es realmente especial. Beautiful bar, wonderful atmosphere

I think everyone has had their say about the Duke of York. I like it, not particularly late on a Saturday night when it's mad, but that is a sign of its popularity. My last visit was Saturday afternoon, it was busy, but I got a seat, a table and a drink no problem. Really quaint surroundings filled with the history of drink in Belfast. Would I recommend it? Yeh, it would be rude not to, give it a try.

El Duke Of York Pub era un maravilloso pub que mi hermano gemelo y yo visitamos en unas vacaciones recientes en Belfast. Un bar de servicio de madera maciza domina la sala principal, la pared y el techo están cubiertos por esmaltes publicitarios vintage y espejos y hay un montón de opciones de asientos repartidos por todo este pub tanto dentro como fuera con vistas a la concurrida y bulliciosa Corte Comercial . Estábamos aquí en una tarde de enero amargamente fría, pub estaba ocupado con un gran ambiente, pedimos una pinta cada uno de Harp lager ( Guinness Brewery ) y estos se sirven en excelentes condiciones siendo helado frío y espumoso y simplemente nos relajamos y disfrutamos del gran pub en el que estábamos. Esta es una cerveza fantástica, dorada, ligera y de lúpulo, llena de sabor y muy fácil de beber especialmente cuando se sirve helada fría como en este pub, fue tan bueno estar en un pub tan encantador disfrutando de una cerveza de calidad y se sentó con mi hermano gemelo, mejor compañero de cerveza del mundo. Realmente disfrutamos de nuestras cervezas aquí antes de seguir adelante y aunque nuestra visita fue solo fugaz para una primera visita a The Duke Of York Pub nos lo pasamos de maravilla. El Duke Of York Pub es fácil de ubicar a lo largo de Commercial Court, una calle y área repleta de pubs, bares, cafeterías y restaurantes. El horario de apertura es; Lunes a miércoles, 11. 30 am hasta medianoche. De jueves a sábado, 11. 30 am hasta la 1 am. Domingo, 11. 30 am hasta medianoche. Vale la pena comprobar si estás en la zona o planeando unas vacaciones en Belfast.

Este pub brillante tiene más de 200 años de antigüedad y un interior magnífico con muchos accesorios interesantes y características que se relacionan con el whisky y las destilerías. Completamente renovado después de que este pub fue destruido accidentalmente por el IRA en 1972. Este pub es una alegría para visitar y usted podría permanecer aquí todo el día mirando el bric - un - brac que adorna todo el interior. Visitamos aquí por la tarde y estaba empezando a llenarse. Great place. Lovely atmosphere and an overall epic interior design with so much going on for it. From memorabilia to a warm atmosphere, I would definitely recommend coming here on a visit to Belfast.

'The Duke of York' Pub boasts character and serves amazing drinks and the prized authentic Guinness that alot of people want to try! The cobble street has some fun history surrounding it... with snow patrol first gigging here, to a wide array of plaques on display around it. The pub is very busy and staff were fast paced for the demand and the bouncers Janette, David and Brendin are a credit to keeping people safe here and on the street. You will find the street to be booming with life at night and you will find one of the (Journey of Doors: Game of Thrones Doors) located across from it in 'The Dark Horse'.

This little pub is situated really well on the streets of umbrellas it's was extremely busy for a Thursday night, and everyone was so friendly and helpful. There were so many things to look at on the walls and the ceiling. Great atmosphere 👌.

If you're visiting Belfast. Please make time to come here! You'll not regret it! The walls around the bar and outside are covered with memorabilia of Guinness, Harp and Irish Whiskeys. We visited on Sunday night during Christmas, so wasn't to busy, the coloured umbrellas are defiantly a good spot for a Instagram selfie.

Quirky bar in the centre of Belfast. Friendly staff and reasonably priced drinks. Great decor inside so worth popping in for a pint if passing through.

Doorman down the back, near music was so fantastic and great craic, watched him all night manoeuvre everyone and empty seats to make sure everyone had the best possible experience. Birthday night out here was fab!

Wonderful place. I had an IPA, I know, I know, I should have a Guinness 😀 The halls, the the walls covered with decorations of Irish beers and whiskeys… we’re here during lunch time and the place was quiet, with music of the 70s. I think it’s the #1 place to see when you come to Belfast. The place has been here for 250+ years, even survived a bomb attack. We asked a local what are things to do in Belfast. She said the Titanic museum but she has never been there. Then finally suggested this place

Came here for a few hours...live music was great, a range of different tunes which makes a change from the typical tunes played at the other bars. It was heaving on a Friday evening when we came, luckily got ourselves some seats. I'm surprised the barman remembered my order each time...'same again?'...yes please sir🫡 Highly recommend 👍 Oh and the Guinness was spot on...

Just a wee tipple to end the day off

I always liked the Duke when I was younger. I enjoyed working a few shifts in the bar during my younger years. It's a great quality pub with good atmosphere, a nice mixture of locals and tourists. It serves good drinks. Good attention to detail.
