Staff always so friendly and it is only topped by the amazing quality food. Genuinely look forward to every Friday for a cheeky Sage takeaway! Definitely would recommend.

Food good and delivered quickly

Always love the food here, me and my partner always pick some up and drive down to the canal to eat its always such a nice experience. Takeout picnics are wonderful also i would recommended

Picked up my order at the time I ordered it had to wait 15 minutes and when I got home no prawn crackers and both me and my husband very disappointed with the taste and both left half we didn’t know if it was the rice or chicken so not worth the risk. Usually great food and service that’s why so very disappointed Mark Parr

Not much meat/prawn content plus no free prawn crackers you have to spend £40, wow!!

Lovely takeaway. The food is of a consistently high standard and the portions are very generous. We've never had a less than excellent meal from here, especially the crispy chilli beef.

The biggest issue with Sage is that it’s cash only. It’s not a big enough issue to keep us away, but in 2022 it’s an odd thing to do I think. The food is good quality always. The service when collecting is usually good, but often you should expect to wait longer than you were told when placing your order. Parking isn’t great outside (park on the road or if they’re very quiet there’s usually a parking bay right outside), but I’ve never failed to be able to park somewhere.

Best Chinese around, shredded chicken in sweet chilli sauce is delicious. Great value for money and big portions, Highly recommend.

Obviously a very busy popular takeaway, but I found the portion size quite large.

Sage is not the cheapest but you get what you pay for. What we had was really nice

Appalling service ordered my food at 6.25 and still waiting 2 hrs later !! I've phoned them and they just cut me off !! Not happy at all !!

Ordered food at 5.20 PM and turned up at 7.30 PM dont get me wrong it was red hot but waiting over 2 hours when we was told an hour was ridiculous if you are going to leave protentle customers for over an hour extra there should be a 10% discount or told a proper time .... and had better from other Chinese ..... i would give it a 6 out of 10

Excellent service and value for money

I really enjoyed my Chinese meal. I had one last Sunday too and that was very nice.

Amazing food every time, the portions are huge and can easily serve two people (Especially the fried rice). The timings they state are always under what it takes for the food to be ready, but is worth the wait, just remember to add another 10mins on to the quoted time and you can't go wrong!

Extremely late, but decent portion sizes

Yes you get decent size portions but if you end up not eating it then that becomes meaningless. Chewy Chicken Balls & Chicken curry full of onions, fried rice ok.

Delicious food and not overpriced. I recommend the cashew nut chicken, salt and pepper chicken, and salt and pepper chips.

Absolutely disgusted in the food me and my boyfriend have just received , The ‘chicken’ was chewy and didn’t taste right, also numerous other items we ordered was awfull , Gave them a call and the customer service skills that they had was out of order , would definitely not recommend and will not be coming here again

Awful take away ordering battered chicken strips and just eating batter isn’t good enough. Also ordered chicken balls and the chicken was chewy and batter around them was all slimy, sweet and Sour sauce taste of vinegar. Poor customer service Been told no such thing as good or bad Chinese food. £17 down the drain thanks also been refused a refund.

Unfortunately after eating here for the last 10 yrs or so, I've just had enough of the poor quality chicken they use. I've given them the benefit of the doubt 6 times and every time I get a poor dish. To be fair all I ever eat are chicken wings so I can't comment on the rest of the menu. The wings used to be the best I'd ever had, now they are terrible, last time I only had 4 in my portion. the chicken was black and bruised, and over cooked. Such a shame as this was a great place.

Food is amazing, tried many different dishes and every time it was spot on. Portions are massive, no other Chinese takeaway offer such amount of food for the price. Definitely worth every penny.

The worst customer service I have ever experienced from a takeaway I spent over an hour on the phone asking them to correct the error they made on my order only to have them put the phone down on me I then had to take the order back to the shop and ask for a refund as they would not correct my order they reluctantly gave me my money and told me to never come back I have never been treated so disgustingly in my life and definitely wouldn't recommend this takeaway to anybody ever!

Always piping hot. Share worthy portions. And the best salt and pepper chicken around! Yum.
