Went on Sunday night and took advantage of the Sunday Special - £18.50 for starter, main, side dish and rice or naan. The food was amazing. Very delicious (particularly the Saffron starter platter and the lamb in garlic and coriander). The food was a flavourful blend of spices without going overboard on the heat. The side dishes were also tasty (although, I would've liked the Bombay potatoes to be a bit spicier). The service was great, very attentive, although, to be fair, the restaurant wasn't busy. The amazing thing about this meal though was the price! £18.50 per person for the quality and amount of food provided represents incredible value for money. Will definitely be back on a Sunday!

I’ve been in the restaurant before and the food is absolutely fabulous. the time i decide to order from home my food is cold, not even lukewarm, my rice is crunchy as if it was left/overcooked.

Our food is waiting to be picked up by your driver. I called the restaurant and they said its been sat there waiting to be picked up and is now cold.

September of 2024. I was staying nearby and was having trouble finding a restaurant that was open late, so they let me in. I haven't been able to find delicious food since I went to England, but the curry at this restaurant was delicious. Thank you to the staff. thank you very much.

Food was supposed to arrive latest at 8:20 after ordering at 7:20. Turned up at 9:30 and had to reheat all food as was cold!

Food as always really good and hot, my only gripe here is the additional service charge of 11% then having to pay for the delivery charge as well ! a tad naughty when it's a takeaway meal ! please remove this as it's unfair and not acceptable

The Korma was three quarters sauce 7 small pieces of chicken, not worth the value. The last two orders had more meat less sauce definitely value for money but not this time!

It was really tasty food and we enjoyed but I think delivery from Eastleigh to hedge end on a push bike is a bit too much. The dishes had leaked all over the order and it was a bit of a mess. Apart from that I’d recommend and the deliver rider was lovely

Ordered through Uber Eats. Do not ignore some of the poor reviews as someone mentioned the food did not look right and caused them food poisoning. Me and my wife ordered in and when the food arrived, it did not look the usual standard of an Indian Grill. The food was colourful however lacked flavour. The worst thing about the food was that it caused us food poisoning, my wife spent a few hours of the night vomiting and had an upset stomach for a few days. I also ended up with the runs. Someone else also had a similar experience if you read the one star reviews. AVOID AT ALL COSTS UNLESS YOU WISH TO RISK SEVERE FOOD POISONING.

The food was not that great, no butter chicken listed on the menu, the korma was very sweet. the lamb dish had a thick layer of oil and the lamb pieces had too much fat. However the reason for the post was the service charge that was added for a table of 3. Very strange as I understand the service charge is sometimes added to tables of 6 or more.

Was visiting the area and fancied an Indian, absolute first class service/food and atmosphere, definitely dine here again if I'm ever in the area again

08/10/24 17 of us were there for a birthday meal, food was amazing service spot on, all meals come out together. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Prompt delivery of lovely food

Sadly, the onion bhaji was overcooked as if it had been recooked from the night before. The curry was not at the level of quality that we have had when visiting the restaurant. Disappointing since we had such a good experience at the restaurant.

Best curry we have had in a long time chicken was lovely and tender. Will definitely be having again.

Thought I'd try it, We'd 14.8.24, as hadn't been there since moving to Eastleigh Dec.2023. Yeah I enjoyed it and booked for Saturday for my lady and myself. Onion Bhajis, Chicken Madras, plain Naan and a couple of Cobras. Wasn't too busy and I was well looked after particularly as I have mobility issues.

Good food, good surroundings. Service a little slow sometimes but not really an issue. One of the better Indian restaurants I have been too.

The Saffron was the only Indian restaurant I would use for many years but this, sadly, was the worst food I’ve had in a very long while. The curry was very watery, the naan was thin, similar to a pancake. Poor quality food all round. Everything had a sweet aftertaste too.

We went to Saffron on a Friday night. We asked for some recommendations. I had a lamb gosht kallimirch and it was without doubt, the best curry I’ve ever tasted. The staff were lovely, the food sublime, and the restaurant was tasteful and clean. I would definitely recommend Saffron.

Food Delivery was great, but unfortunately had no cash for the delivery guy's tip, as ordering takeout was on a whim. The packaging on the other hand was not very helpful. The bag ripped from the lower corner and the duck dish sauce spilt onto one of our throw blankets (beige) and the wool carpet. It will probably be a permanent stain since spices are difficult to wash. Please consider better packaging, as the current ones are flimsy, or the paper bag is not reinforced enough when soaked with sauce.

I ordered food earlier by uber eats nothing is good roti not perfect i mentioned already make it thin not best never use it again Be aware everyone dont waste your money here

The best curry I've ever had! And I don't say that lightly!

the madras curry was missing we called the restaurant and they admitted the Curry was sat on the side but could not get it to us . so we had to accept this but then the nan breads were the soggest coldest worst we had ever had very disappointed 😞

I wanted to change an item and phoned the restaurant. They said just to order onion bhaji’s, add a comment and they would add what I wanted. Guess what - it didn’t happen and they sent onion bhaji’s - not happy!😡

So my son and I had a rather interesting experience in this particular establishment this evening, the food to be fair was last about ok , however, the bullying I witnessed of the new member of staff was disgraceful, younger man constantly betraying a new older member of staff, vile behaviour, Whoever owns this place needs to have a word with the entitled jumped up tool that's running front of house

Food was swimming in water. Not much taste either. Although probably not the restaurants fault, it took 2 hours to be delivered.

Table for six Wednesday at 6pm. Restaurant was quite on arrival. Pleasant welcome from staff member.Great service relaxed not rushed.Food arrived promptly as did the ordered drinks and was very nice. Could not fault this restaurant that had filled up and was busy when we left.

We have been regulars at saffron for a long time and they have just gone more and more downhill. We got a takeaway last night from them which was inedible. Really disappointed and will no longer be eating here.

The food was very good and there was a good menu to choose from. The service was slow. It took 1 hour 15 minutes for our main course to be served, although we did have popadoms and chutneys served shortly after arrival. The restaurant was very busy with some groups dining and I think they needed more waiters. It was nice and warm.

Food was cold. Chicken dish had spilt out of container. Poppadoms were broken. Rice had dry clumps of white rice in . Worst meal I have ever had delivered.

They got us in last minute on Christmas Eve, and the food was phenomal. Staff were really friendly too. Would definitely go back without hesitation.

Foil trays dented and leaking, a bag full of sauce. Not that hot but the food itself was tasty. In future I will order from a restaurant that delivers by car, not bike.

Was actually nearly 2 hours late. Service was shocking. I rung the restaurant my food was sat around for over an hour cooked in the bag and no one to deliver it. Turned up cold and disgusting. So angry and disappointed with this service

Not as good as everyone makes out. Shaslik was way too hot and the Bhuna was mild. Balti was very good, though

Food cold I’ve had to re heat! Ordered it for 6:15 got it at 6:35!

It said delivered and it has not been. We are terribly annoyed. First time we have ever tried this service - never again!

This place has certainly improved its mannerism and service, all I can say is good about it now, food has been amazing on last few visits and service is very good, keep up the good work and please don't come complacent

Extremely late delivery and food not as good as usual. Very disappointed.

Had to go collect it myself - this was ordered hours before the chosen delivery time! No excuse for being this late.

I have been coming to Saffron for the past seven years - including when the restaurant was located on the opposite side of the road. I only come to the area once a year on holiday but during this time I always visit here at least twice. Every time the meals are excellent, I've never had one complaint about the food. I have been given very warm hospitality and the guys who work here remember me each time despite the time passed which is a very personal touch, as well as being offered a beer on the house. I cannot fault Saffron at all.

I called the restaurant after waiting an hour and a half after I ordered. They were friendly, helpful and sounded sincere and said it was just on it's way. The curry was really tasty but the rice was cold.

Bland food. No flavour to the chicken or lamb kebabs. Delivered cold. Had to get a refund unfortunately and re-order from elsewhere.

This was our first visit to Saffron, it will definitely not be our last! There were 11 of us tonight, everyone really enjoyed the evening, thank you Saffron.

My partner had walked past this restaurant during the afternoon and it really caught our eye. So that evening we decided to give them a try and we very insanely impressed. We’d called to order as they were too far to deliver to us and they were so friendly and accommodating. Also I’m a garlic fiend and requested LOTS with my rice and they really did follow through. Everything tasted perfectly fresh and had a great selection of vegetables within the curry I had. The flavours were gorgeous and perfect levels of spice. I have had a lot of Indian/Bangladeshi foods and tried an abundance of different restaurants and thought I’d discovered which were my favourites until I tried Saffron.

Chicken Amnah didn’t have much flavour today and the chicken was chewy. Also, a lot of the sauce had leaked out of the packaging when the food was delivered

Absolutely delicious but, as it was delivered 20 minutes late, was not as hot as it could have been.

Went for a birthday meal with the boys, must say food was fantastic and the service was excellent. Really nice and clean looking venue

Used to be the best Indian in Eastleigh, sadly not anymore.

Garlic and cheese naan couldn’t taste any garlic or cheese Meat was a bit tough and the skin of what I think was courgette was hard and horrible to eat Overall it was ok but not enough for a repeat order anytime soon

Vindaloo was flavourless and with not the slightest heat to it. Paid for lamb...it had 2 pieces small of meat, the rest was potato! Garlic naan & chilli naan were both small and undercooked. Dhansak was fine. Didnt include rice. No free poppadoms. Expensive, over an hour late and very disappointing 😞

£4.25 it was for a samosa portion. When this arrived it was two small samosas. VERY overpriced!

We visited on a weekday evening. It is located on the high street in Eastleigh, there’s plenty of on street pay parking but free after 6pm. A clean lovely decorated restaurant, light & bright. It wasn’t busy but what you’d expect on an early weekday evening. We all had something different from the varied menu & it was very tasty. Service was good though the portions could have been a little more generous especially as the prices are competitive. I would return though & it’s worth a visit if you haven’t.

We cannot recommend this place enough! Individualised service (making allowences for the specific needs of the group), good humour, attentive (but not in your face all the time), the food was lovely; not too greasy and served in good time. Oh, and the restaurant is clean, modern and spacious with comfortable seating areas. We will definitely be returning, be it to eat in or for a takeaway. Saffron - you've won our tastebuds and hearts!

Service is not good. I recommend trying some other Indian restaurants like Badi Mirchi in Eastleigh.
