Lovely staff, very attentive. Was busy on a Thursday so if your a group it would probably be worth booking. You can tell a lot from an Indian restaurant from their pompadoms & these were crispy, hot & freshly cooked. Onion bhajis & aloo chaat for starters (it wasn’t authentic chaat but tasted nice) onion bhajis was delicious. We had seen the size of portions coming out so ordered “side” size & we still couldn’t finish it all. Fish tika was lovely as were dhal & potatoes. Favourite was paneer makhani, it was delicious but again wasn’t a traditional makhani. Paratha, rice & 3 pints of cobra. It was all great & if I lived in Warwick I’d eat here all the time

Food was superb, I had the Tandoori mixed grill. The only issue was the service , twice they got my drink order wrong , I ordered kraken and lemonade with ice once they brought me blackcurrant and lemonade 🤔and once the brought what looked like melted ice in a glass. The initial waiter that took our 1st drink order , he had the personality of a wet rag, very miserable. The others were fine. So overall good food as always but the service from some of their staff is below par from what it used to be .

Inedible poppadoms cooked in stale, rancid oil is unacceptable when you charge £17 for a basic main. Nor is it acceptable to put 5 small pieces of chicken in a main and only half fill the container. Really gone downhill.

Stopped off at Saffron Gold on way home from a holiday and long journey. Had a superb meal served by excellent friendly staff with great customer service. We will return.

Great Place - we stayed in Warwick after going to the Races - Saffron Gold was fab ,Great Friendly Staff , Food lovely all cooked fresh , advice given on dishes by the wonderful staff , Fab Team .Thank you we will definitely be returning .

Good service but mediocre food Some tasteless soggy nan The wine was never a large glass maybe just over a small glass However they did have 0/0 larger although over priced Had to ask for the bill about five times So overall can’t say we enjoyed our evening out So it’s back to the Castle Balti

Yesterday ordered food from Saffron Gold via Just Eat. My recomendetion is to check your delivery before driver goes. Instead of three portions of rice only one was delivered. Two small veg samosas were delivered for price of £5.95. Although food was delicios but it wasn't enough even for two people for the price we paid £34.44. Very disappointed , will never order again.

Pathetic food with very sad service. So much delay in bringing the not so good food to the table. All they wanted was to sell Popadums to us. Repeatedly every waiter asked do you want Popadums 6-7 times during our dine in. Paneer dish was full of mixed vegetables with 2 tiny pieces of paneer. Please avoid.

Order wasnt complete, ordered 3 packs of rise but received only 1. Bare in mind that you get only 2 samosas for the price it says. Otherwise food was nice.

By the time the driver found Queensway Court , which I did make it easier by giving the the correct postcode to the front entrance. he was by the houses on the Queensway, nowhere near us. he eventually found us, i ok the food to our apartment

Excellent food quality and very flavoursome. I couldn't fault the meal (Lamb Chops cooked to perfection) and at a great price. Will definitely be back.

Just moved to the area so trying to find a good curry house. The curries aren’t good at all me and my partner were both disappointed, prawns rubbery and not much flavour in both curries Popadoms don’t come with chutney tray either and wasn’t told to order separately :(

The food was beautiful, the staff were attentive and polite I would definately recommend eating here. Busy on a Tuesday evening which says a lot these days!

Really loved this place and wish we lived locally so we could return soon! The vegetarian selection was varied and we enjoyed both the main dishes we tried. The paneer was cooked well and the pilau rice was so well spiced - delicious! The garlic naans were also very good, and had a good amount of garlic (though we wouldn't have turned down even more garlic!). Staff were very friendly and attentive, and we were given complimentary onion bhajis while we waited for our mains which was very kind (wasn't even that long a wait!). We aren't normally bothered about bhajis and other small starters but these were actually amazing - so crispy and flavoursome! Would definitely order them again. Only small criticism I have is that the mango lassi wasn't the best. I think could have done with more sweetness (and maybe a better quality yoghurt?). I highly recommend this place and hope to come back the next time I'm in Warwick!

Excellent food! Really tasty. We live in knowle which has a few Indian restaurants, we have tried them all numerous times. But Saffron Gold is the best we have had bar non. Chicken was really tender and everything was fresh. The staff were also amazing. Thank you so much for a wonderful meal

This is an excellent Indian restaurant. The food is high quality and excellent value. The staff are very obliging and service is good. Good range of desserts. The car park in front is very convenient.

Awesome meal. Quite possibly the best we have had in years. We had 7 people and every single meal was unique and tasty, rich in flavour and not greasy. Very well prepared dishes. Would highly recommend.

Food was very good for 6 of us, although the main course for the 7th in our group wasn't satisfactory. That said, they went out of their way to attempt to rectify it so that is the reason I've only deducted 1 star. Service was very good in general, although there was a very long wait between the tasty starter and the main. We were in no particular rush, but 2 hours was a tad long. The disappointing thing was a mother on an adjacent table spent about 30 minutes stood up doing her daughters hair into a style. Really ! There's a time and place for that and it's not in front of other diners. A pity the manager didn't have a quiet word. Would I return 🤔... yes, definitely 👍🍛

It was a delicious meal (Malayan Lamb curry with a jug of the yogurt drink). We hadn't booked in advance. It was an impromptu decision as the parking was very convenient (outside by the bus stop).

starters were cold as was the meat in one of the mains. expensive compared to other local restaurants. not even a complimentary poppadoms.

Very disappointed with the lack of service and waiting times on food. 1 person from our group waited over an hour for starters, mango lassi had no taste, naan bread was luke warm. Its like the staff couldn't cope with a large group of us. All over the place unfortunately

Normally our go-to Indian takeaway, but last time the food was cold and our Onion Bhaji was missing. Called up and they were apologetic and said they would add Onion Bhaji to our order next time if we referenced our order number. happy enough if that works, disappointing experience though.

Lovely food every time I’ve been here. Tonight’s service was the worst I’ve had anywhere for years. Very attentive until we took longer to eat our starters than they wanted. It took 30 minutes between starter and main. It was when the table that arrived 30 minutes after us got their mains that we had to complain. Our food arrived immediately but was cold on top yet on extremely hot plates. Obviously been sat in the kitchen since we’d been eating our starters. We were ignored after that. I won’t be returning here. They did apologise with some shots at the end of the evening but two of our four were driving.

food is very nice but £6,50 for 2 chicken wings is a absolute rip off.also had lamb chop starter I had 3 chops didn't even get a mouthfull of 1 as it was just bone 😢

We mostly get takeout. But the food is always good, ready for a pick up when they say. Love their menu. The couple of times we visited the restaurant always been great service & food.

Another great meal from the best Indian restaurant in Warwick

Roshun was like a garlic chicken curry, so if you like garlic, you'll love it. Dalda Mugh pretty much a korma as far as I could taste, no bad thing if you like korma! Kashmir was very fruity. Loved that too, keep the bananas coming! Tried both veggie and meat platter starters, full of flavour! Good quality food overall. Still one of the best Indians in Warwick.

Where to start? The oily chicken, the watery daal, the overall blandness of all the thali dishes or the INCREDIBLY RUDE staff. Called up as a naan bread was missing from the thali. After explaining the issue, the member of staff then repeatedly shouted at me down the phone saying it wasn’t their problem and then promptly hung up. At least my last takeout of the year will be memorable, albeit for all the wrong reasons.

Watery daal, oily chicken, overall bland food, food missing from order and VERY rude staff who shouted and hung up when we called to query the missing item...AVOID

Totally more than just a dining experience. The best, most polite and fastest service. Beautiful fresh fresh food. Highly recommended.

The main dishes were ok, but I paid £10 for two tiny meat samosas and two poppadoms, and the naan breads were burnt and crispy.

Excellent food, great atmosphere and very friendly staff make this a perfect treat night out. Not the cheapest restaurant in town, but you can certainly taste where the extra goes!

The order was placed at 5:59pm and it only arrived at 7:45pm close to 8pm when one of my friend unfortunately had to leave without food because they had a train to catch at7:30pm, really disappointed as I’m a regular. The app has originally advised it was going to arrive within 30 minutes. Ideally I should be compensated especially feel bad for my friend

Lovey food. Fresh, tasty and beautifully spiced. We had the onion bhajis, probably the best I’ve ever had - crispy but not greasy. Then we shared a Keema rice with lamb dalda murgh, paneer veg makhani (only slight disappointment as there was no paneer in it, but still super tasty) and bringjal bahjee. Great food and enough for leftovers for lunch too. Delivered right on time, will definitely order again and hopefully visit for a sit down meal soon.

Great restaurant. They made us feel welcome and we had a lovely spot in the restaurant. There was a table with 3 young men swearing. This was off putting. The service was friendly and good. The food was hot and plenty. I enjoyed the meal. Paid parking outside. When we asked for the bill we were overcharged. However, we noticed and they were apologetic.

Absolutely brilliant. Group of 8 of us on a fairly busy evening. You wouldn't have known that there were other large groups and several smaller tables occupied. Great food and fab service and great value.

Really had a lovely meal at saffron with with my work colleague last night. Booked at table for 8.30 and when arrived the restaurant was full and had a lovely weekend vibe. Had a mix choice of chicken, lamb and seafood order that was recommended by a small waiter not sure of this name. The evening was nearly spoilt as the table of 5 sitting next to us was mistreating the waiters by ripping and hiding the bill and making the waiters look for the bill, the manager had presented a dummy bill for £500 which made the rude man pull out the ripped bill from his pocket. How embarrassing really felt sorry for the ladies who seemed so embarrassed by silly behaviour by old immature man. Thank god the manger got rid of the guest.

ETA was given as 19:05 - 19:25 and food arrived at 18:55. It also wasn't piping hot which makes me wonder if it was ready even earlier and that the Just Eat driver picked it up sometime after it was ready.

Saffron Gold Restaurant is a Best Indian Restaurant in West Midland .. The Service and Hospitality are fantastic.

I was part of a coach party booked in to the restaurant on Saturday 9th September. When we arrived everyone from the coach was already seated, which left my small party of nine guests. It was apparent that there had not been the right amount of seats allocated for us as there were only a few seats remaining but the manager/owner was extremely rude and told us to ask the other guests to move. We tried to explain that there still would not be the right amount of seats for all of us but he was very rude and dismissive. The restaurant was completely empty apart from the coach party and we would have eaten and been on our way before his evening diners arrived but he was extremely rude with no willingness to put right his mistake so we left the restaurant. I sincerely hope his young waiters don't follow his example!!

I have eaten in a LOT of Asian restaurants, and this has to be my favourite yet. My husband and I found Saffron Gold as we were exploring Warwick and whilst we were reading the menu outside (it was morning, and closed) a lady stopped and said it was the best Indian in town. We tend to be sceptical, but we thought we would give it a try. We didn’t book - we couldn’t remember what it was called or know the street it was on, but we went early so managed to get a table. Although only 6.30, the place was pretty busy. We then had a problem. The menu is extensive - what to choose? When the food came, the portions were very generous and the quality excellent. I had a starter and then the lamb biryani which came with a sauce packed with beautifully cooked vegetables. I counted 7 different veg in there. All through, the staff were attentive, helpful and friendly. I only sad because we couldn’t eat everything- it was so delicious but too much (shouldn’t have had the starter). 100% would come back if we return to Warwick.

We booked for a Saturday night and arrived early for our table. The restaurant was buzzing with almost every table full. Despite that the staff quickly found us our table and organised drinks and poppadoms. The waiters were polite and friendly. The food was superb. Next time we are back in Warwick we will most definitely book a table.
