Got food poisoning with the prawn's biryani

Saffron Balti was good. Since it's been Altrincham tandoori it's terrible. Lamb bhuna in a watery sauce with hardly any lamb. Tiny rice portions. Don't bother going here, there are many better Indians in the area. Avoid at all costs.

We have always used this takeaway for many years ,it has changed hands several times over the last 20 years. And each time the quality has depreciated. This time was my worse shock Pathia sources were thin and runny with no sign of onion .tomato ,like watery thin gravy , it was tastless The korma was a little better but on the same scale and never again The masala was between the two Now here is another. Point the source trays were only half full ,when I took the paper lid off the Pathia source I could have put the others one I ordered into the tray and it was still not full. Last of all ,,the Nan bread was flat with no bounce as though someone had ironed it ,and under cooked . It was inedible . My advice Buy the Nan from he supermarket cheaper and good choice at half the cost And the curry by from Aldi. The one with the spice lin the lid add a few bits of spice to your licking and boil onion until water almost gone You won’t be sorry

Bought a special mix kebab for nearly £10. It was so small i couldn’t believe it, hardly any meat at all. The only reason I didn’t phone was because I had to go out and couldn’t wait. Honest, feel completely ripped off. It wasn’t tiny because it was the wrong order, it had tiny pieces of all 4 meats that were supposed to be on there. Completely Ripped off, never again!!

Ordered from here 3 times. First time it was absolutely amazing. Very hot and fresh food. No faults at all. Second time it was just ok, nowhere near as good as the first time. This is the last time I will order ever from here. The food was almost 2 hours late, stone cold and the Lamb was chewier than a Wham Bar. Had to call four times for an update on my order. Absolute waste of money and even worse than the food was the lame half arsed apology with a promise to sort us out with extra food in future. Keep it.

I was in Manchester last week, more precisely in Altrincham loving the Indian food I entered on this takeaway and ordered, not knowing anything about the food at this takeaway I was pleasantly surprised to find that everything I ordered was delicious. Thank you ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

If you can't get an order for 3 dishes correct you get 1 star no matter what the food is like

Have eaten in and ordered takeaway and this is our go to place to order if we are requiring delivery. Food is amazing however have been some items missing when last ordered takeaway. Was missing onion chutney and only received half the poppadoms we ordered and paid for.

Ate inside a couple of times previously, this time ordered a take away absolutely beautiful, and spoken to a lovely gentleman who didn’t mind delivering food to apartment door as live in an apartment block, some delivery drivers have problem with delivering to your door! (Although you pay for delivery service!) Thankyou so much for nice service and amazing food.

Offically the WORST KEBAB IN TRAFFORD! Salad consisted of only lettuce, most of which was BROWN (see image).Two tiny seekh kebabs. Oh, and this kebab was also forgotten in the order and was eventually delivered and hour and a half later woth a very half arsed apology!

Great food and service. Had the madras and jalfrezi chicken was tender. Will be ordering again.

Been going for years great curries

I have been a regular customer for almost 6 years and I have always been very happy with the food and the service, regardless of how I ordered (via an app or in the restaurant). When we fancy Indian food, this is our go-to place. No other Indian restaurant even comes close. The food is always fresh, piping hot, perfectly balanced, and the service is always so pleasant. Even my little one, who is one very picky eater, adores the food from Saffron Balti. We order more or less the same every time; onion bhaji, peshawari naan, egg rice, and chicken tikka makhani or chicken tikka masala. Highly recommended!

I have been given no choice but to leave a 1 star review can't give 0. The mannerism of the counter staff who deal with the customer assumed to be the same ones answering the phone need getting rid of fast. If you don't your business will fail. It's a shame since the food is really good, a credit to the chef. There are plenty of other good establishments in the area who don't subject customers to this rude treatment, unless you are happy with this I would look elsewhere as I will be doing. WARNING to the owner of Saffron Balti, look after your customers since they are the heart of your business and its success, good luck you need it.

Gone down hill, very unfriendly staff, I enquired about a free bottle of Coke I was promised on just eat when I collected, however they tried to charge me for it and responded “right bye“ when I told him I would show him on the app, not going back there.

This establishment need to learn to stop being rude to their customers and remember that without those customers they are nothing!

I'm currently waiting for this restaurant to deliver and have been waiting 2hrs. I honestly can't believe how long it's taking! To make it even worse, no one's picking up their phone! I want my money back and I won't ever use this place again!

Will never order from here again, i was waiting outside for my order, the bloke never even got out of his car, just lied to uber eats and said they couldn’t contact me, total losers!

Worst service.. i would give negative stars if allowed to.. The guy at the telephone taking order is unprofessional and has a foul mouth. Does not have decency to talk to customer. Ordered through a popular app and the home delivery took ages to come .. upon enquiries the guy at the telephone behaved in an unprofessional manner. Food was not very edible . I don't recommend this restaurant.

The food from these guys is far the best Indian in Altrincham/Broadheath area, however, recently they've started cancelling orders on Uber Eats if it's below £15 and they made me aware of this in an awful way. I live alone and often don't order enough to spend £15 so this has really put me off these guys, who I used to order from regularly. First they just started randomly cancelled the orders, then after me trying to order again after the cancellation, thinking it was in error, they'd eventually make it and deliver, but then I was told by the delivery driver that they won't accept below £15 again, gave me a sob story about how it's not profitable for them to do so, trying to guilt me into making me feel bad, like it was my fault. Like, if it's a problem, then maybe set the minimum order to £15 maybe on Uber Eats? Or add a small order fee. Or you know, take that up with Uber Eats? Don't instead make a regular customer feel awful for wanting to spend money with you.

I'm a regular. I love the food, however everytime I order there's always something missing. Please start double checking orders before sending them out!

Outstanding! Amazing food, the meal was beautiful, really enjoyed it, Great Selection and everything is cooked fresh. The Sagaloo was Gorgoeus, and I highly recommend the Chicken Tikka Bhuna Masala 👌

Fantastic takeaway. We are big Indian Cuisine fans and have been impressed by everything we have had from Saffron Balti - would recommend the Chicken Pakora to everyone!

Used this place a few times during the pandemic, always chose to pick up and always got the food nice and fast, and still piping hot. This time we ordered fish pakora which was lovely, lamb chops which were slightly too chargrilled for my liking, chicken tikka rogan josh and chicken bhuna. The curries were very tasty and the chicken was tender and chunky. They even threw in some free poppadoms with a couple of dips. Great value and will definitely continue as a repeat customer

Would not give these con artists a star. They messed my order up to the point it wasn't edible. My special kebab arrived swimming in chili sauce. I asked for no naan bread on one of the kebabs and they both came with no bread. I also ordered a drink which didn't come. I rang the restraunt to be hung up on and told it was my order. The rude guy on the phone also said the drink was in the bag. When quite clearly it wasn't. He then put the phone down on me. I rang back he said he would refund me a can from my order. To this point I told him he has a foul attitude and I want the full refund. He said take it up with just eat. Absolute fraud of a gaff 2 Bob outfit.

Placed order with Uber ears, food turned up on time, we were given Pompadoms which we hadn't ordered with mango and onions. Chicken madras & chicken tika madras with rice, chips and nan were all very nice at a great price.

Saffron balti is my favourite place to order from and I order from here far too much for someone who dreams of being healthy, but the food is too good so our five into the temptation every time! The staff are amazing and I won’t go anywhere else! Well done to them for providing me with such tasty deliciousness

Takeaway: Awful food. Very 'processed'. Onion B's and poppadoms over cooked and tasted of frying fat. The worst Indian I have had. Avoid.

Have been ordering from them for the last few months. The quality of the food is quite consistent and the portions are quite decent as well. I have not had any bad experiences with delivery in the last few months with this restaurant. I would recommend it.

Best Indian Takeaway I’ve found!

Saffron Balti in Altrincham never using again, ordered via Just Eat last night never arrived and then they closed. Marked the order as complete even though they hadn't. Called them just now and spoke to the owner. Very rude and said to contact Just Eat as he won't authorise a refund

If I could give zero stars I would. Ordered £30 worth of food the other day with an ETA of 11pm. The food never showed up. Purposefully waited downstairs for it, by 11.30 there was no food and no answer from the restaurant. The next day rang them and they was very rude and said they would not refund because they did try to deliver ... but they didnt ... we also have a doorbell which also didnt get rang. So I'm £30 down and still no food, they didnt even leave the food anywhere. So I've paid for something which I didnt receive. Would never recommend or revisit.

DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS RESTAURANT! They will steal from you. Ordered food only to be kept waiting for 2 hours with no update. They failed to ever deliver my food and then refused to refund any money and they still refuse to be even remotely helpful. Avoid at all costs!

Ordered a takeaway via Deliveroo & they kept changing delivery time after 2 hours then got a notification they are closed. Can’t get through on the phone - disaster

Always nice food but on last three deliveries they have managed to add a nan to the order and charge ! - I didn't mind the first time but wondered why this happened another two times?? (..by the way the nan was also very nice !) After writing this I ordered another take away and guess what?...yes they added another nan that I had not ordered and charged for it. Sorry but this cannot be a coincidence ??!!! If they do it to you do not pay for it ! I have taken a star off for this even though their food is great ! Update... this has just happened again!!! One more time and down to one star even though food is great !!! This can’t be a coincidence... if it is I’ll buy a lottery ticket or ten instead!!

Zero stars! Placed a order at around 7:30pm Said delivery time would be 8:30pm and then moved to 11pm. Order never arrived. Never ordering from here again!

Low price, not so great taste and small portion sizes, basically you get what you pay for. On the upside - the staff was courteous and the collection was on - time. One of the dish I ordered (mixed kebabs) was not what they described in the menu (mix of different variety of kebabs) instead, it was just a couple of lamb chops inside. Could have been genuine mistake!

I ordered couple of items including 5 garlic naans. Their garlic naan is 35p more than plain naan, (£1.65 in total).What I received was plain naans and when I called them to mention about this, owner started shouting on me saying this is how we make garlic naan. Absolutely pathetic attitude to customers. Would never order again from them. By the way the food was just ok. Their lamb starter was too chewy.

Just called to place an order for delivery. Asked if they could deliver door to door as i am unable to walk due to being on crutches and I was told "the driver will not deliver to my address as they do not like the property" ??? They don't only prepare and cook food but discrimination comes thrown in to.

By far the best Indian takeaway in the country. I own food businesses myself and have many friends that own Indian takeaways but today here in sale Saffrom Balti has topped them all. Couldn't fault anything was just perfect. Honestly deserves an award their food and service. Just for future providing some cutlery would be easier for me I did mention in order notes but oh well that doesn't matter much as I can't get over how tasty the food is. Thanks guys keep up the good work 👍

I must admit, it has been a long time since i enjoyed very good meals like the ones from here. Lamb Madras, lamb biryani and the onion bhaji's were like the good stuff i ate 20-30 years ago. And this was my first time eating from Saffron! Good chunks of lean lamb and good sauces, too. Excellent! I will be ordering again!
