Salt pepper squid soggy and tasteless.. Crispy duck deep fat fried and tasteless plus didn't smell nice even the soup was rushed and full of jelly....

Ordered last night. Food was delivered quickly and was fresh and tasty.

There was a long wait for us too. They said it would take 10 mins but we waited for 40mins. The lady at the reception was in a very bad mood as well. When we previously ordered here we cancelled for the reason above but when we came again the next day, she said that they are taking a long time because we cancelled previously.

Amazing food always really fast

I've been around the block a few times with Anglo-Chinese food, and had average food, or worse, in many places. Tonight we had a Singapore Rice Box, Salt and Pepper Squid, Pancake Roll, Prawns with Mushrooms, and Fried Rice. The quality of the cooking was head and shoulders above what you might ordinarily expect. Real zing to the spice on the crispy-outside-yielding-inside squid. Crunchy beansprouts laced with tasty chicken and pork in the Pancake Roll. Generous portions, enough to feed 3-4 people with good appetites. Thank You - next time I'm in the area I'll be back!

Ordered special curry and rice, and prawn dumpling as a little side dish.. nice food, nice portion sizes.. all good 👍

Very, very disappointed. Ordered via the website, and delivery was very quick and the food hot. From there, it went downhill. My salt and pepper ribs were BBQ ribs with some onion and one slice of chilli. The ribs were decent, if I'd wanted BBQ ribs. The Singapore Fried Rice was good, and contained three really plump prawns rather than the small shrimp most serve, but my Roast Duck Curry was, I'm afraid to say, awful. I don't know what the meat was, it was white and like very poor quality chicken, but was definitely not Duck. I ate the curry sauce, but the "meat" was inedible. I don't understand why this place has a lower rating to most. Food is always good and consistent. Ribs are meaty and tender. Flavours are nice, overall food seems quite fresh. Much nicer to all the other places I've tried recently. Have ordered here many times and will continue too

The food was so good my soul ascended to God and I spiritually high-fived him. This is the most authentic cuisine I have ever had, it was so delicious that after one bite I began to weep openly infront of my whole family. 10/10 would have again.

Ordered first time explained had a leaflet through the door.. Firstly by a very unfriendly attitude.. Received order complained about the won ton soup which had no dumplings just pasta swimming around in a horrible vinegar type broth... Called them straight away... Only to be told that's how we do our wonton.. Told them can't eat it... No apology... Never ordering from them again.. Dim sum combination okish... Large spring roll swimming in oil.. Ugh...

Been ordering from here many times for the past few months, Since the place Changed to 'Kew Foo' and the food is always consistantly good. Portions are huge, i dont know how they compress so much into one container! 3 plates and the container was still full! Food always comes hot and tasty to delivery and seems fresh. Defo a good chinese which is consistantly good! Prices are average, highly reccomend

A few things and not all of them to do with the food. Cash Only. I mean in this day an age who carries cash. They should certainly make it clearer. No Prawn crackers, I mean a £40+ order and have never not received a free bag of Prawn crackers with the order. Salt, the food is tasty but I couldn't order from them again as I needed to drink gallons of water afterwards. The salt content must be right off the scale. Chicken & Sweetcorn soup had a very strange taste. Missus said it tasted like cocnut and it was definately nothing like any Chicken and Sweetcorn soup. Rest of it was really good. Roast duck was extremely good and pulled the score back up to a 3. Food is nice if they could lower the salt content.

The portion is big. Good quality and quantity. Flavoursome!!! Will definitely come back

Excellent quality authentic food The special noodle and rice boxes are fantastic value and the portions easily serve 2-3. Spread friendly service. Highly recommended 👌

I am reviewing the establishment under its current name of Kew Foo. Had a few meals from this place now and the standard has always been excellent. Staff are friendly and its a family run business. Establishment is always really clean and they have a 5 rating on the Food Standards Agency site. not all local take aways do, you'd be surprised how bad some are. Food is always good quality, piping hot, decent portion sizes and we love it. Thank you to all at Kew Foo, Dan P :)

Had previously ordered from here however this time around my order was cancelled. After ringing I was told that my address is “too far” even though they had previously delivered to the exact same address. They couldn’t give me a reason as to why I was now considered too far and at one point tired to deny the fact I had ordered from them previously. They we’re extremely rude. Poor service, do not recommend.

The lady at the reception was in such a bad mood. They got my order wrong slightly, when I pointed it they changed it. But looking at the mood of the receptionist I thought there might a loogie in my food. Smile at people from time to time. It's good for business. Food was ok.

Main courses were good , starters were stone cold . Took 70 mins to deliver.

Amazing food last night salt and pepper spare ribs were beautiful and spicy the salt and pepper chicken balls my son said they were the best he had ever had can not fault the food

It was the worst Chinese food I’ve ever had. Including the cheap “all eat buffets” are better than this !!!!!!!

Our favourite meal is so different here to everywhere else and not in a good way! Far too spicy for one of us to even eat. The sauce had pineapple in it too. Considering it was OK sauce I don't think it should have had pineapple in it or been remotely spicy but hey. Avoid if you want a proper Chinese takeaway

Food gorgeous however website allowed us to PLACE and PAY for an order on a wed . It also confirmed the order, 2 hours later still no food so rang and got an answerphone message to say closed on Wed. I've been chasing refund ever since . Their attitude is its a third party company running website, and now third party issuing refund . Waiting time would be 5-10 days , I'm still waiting. Their attitude is very poor and no remorse ."nothing more they can do". Shame as mistakes happen but their customer service is appalling

Ordered a takeaway and the food and service was great. Nice one quality of food and very good service.

Walked past this place tonight and saw the weekly special deal been advertised. Went back home and decided to place an order and WOW, I was pleasantly surprised the quality of food. I ordered chicken curry, beef curry, sweet an sour pork and salt and pepper chicken. Will definitely order again.

First visit to the Fortune House, had 2 three in one dishes both very good and at £8.50 good value for the money.
