Ordered the lamb tikka masala that was essentially tomato sauce (bright red not the typical orange color) and sweetened. Absolutely no spicing that we could tell. Lamb was tough. The chana bahji and vegetable rice were okay. Naan had a sweet flavor as well? Also they have none of the typical sauces we are used to to add extra kick or flavor.

One of THE best curries we have ever eaten, if not the best! Very friendly staff, great location and great food. Would definitely recommend 😊

This curry house is exceptional. Myself and my partner are from the Midlands and we know a great curry when we have one. Portions are very generous with a really good amount of meat in the main dishes. The whole meal was very reasonably priced. I genuinely couldn’t fault it at all. The onion bhaji was particularly good. Good size, crispy and light not dense and greasy. Good service, nice atmosphere and clearly very popular with the locals. Honestly, if you like a curry, go. I advise you book (make sure you ring and don’t use the website though!) We will be back!

Food must have been sat out for at least 30 minutes before it was collected, all stone cold, what we did attempt to reheat would have been better off in the bin!!

This was a takeaway meal. I ordered Prawn Bhuna. A Bhuna is a thick, dry curry. This wasn't thick or dry, it was thin and watery with a few tiny shrimps and no flavour whatsoever. The worst curry I have ever had and I'm from Bradford so I know a thing or two about curries.

…… given some of the reviews. We only went here because every other restaurant in town was fully booked. We are glad we did. Service was excellent; in fact extremely efficient as the staff were keen to turn the tables round immediately as customers left. So comments on bad service are misplaced. As for the food – excellent. Poppadoms fresh; pickles tray as we expected. The only slight issue was that the onion bhajis were slightly overcooked. So were the lamb chop starters, but that’s just how my wife likes them. The mains were spot-on – lamb madras was just the right heat for me and my wife’s chicken shashlik was exceptionally good. The people on the next table said they thought their chicken madras was a bit hotter than they usually expected. The idea that the food here is bland and not spicy is ridiculous based on our experience. Rice and naan both very good. Just over 50 quid for that lot and 3 pints of Cobra constitutes great value.

We have ordered from here twice and each time the service has been good and the food lovely. The portion sizes are plenty big enough and the low prices mean it’s really good value for money. I would recommend eating here

After visiting last year and enjoying it we returned again. Just like last year the service was friendly and efficient. The food is absolutely delicious. We will definitely return when we’re back in the area!

Dropped in here with my wife at 9:30 on a Friday as everywhere else was finishing for the evening and it was 50 metres from our bed. Was put off by previous reviews from even trying it but food in Conwy at this time is hard to come by! It’s got a small frontage and probably seats about 30, the dining room is very smart and nicely refurbished with split face tiles on one wall and sculptured plaster on the opposite, very smart. The seating is very comfy. The loo is ok but needs some tlc. The food isn’t the finest Asian cuisine you’ll ever eat but it was tasty, we had mixed starters, the lamb was a bit ropey but everything else was great and the plates were generous and overall very tasty, We had tandoori rogan josh and chicken jalfreizi for mains with mushroom pilaou and peshwari naan. The mains were delicious and properly spiced, exactly as wanted with the expected chilli kick! the rice was light and tasty, the bread was nicely done and freshly made, our bill with two pints was £46. Would I eat her again. Yes! Definitely! Give it a go!

From the food being bland to the waiter hovering over table snatching plates away it has to be one of the worst dining experiences to date even serving a grown adult with a coke bottle with a straw in it! Avoid !!

Like the previous reviewer - I too wonder, where are the spices? Everything very, very plain with little flavour (even the line pickle was bland) and some strange and intense colours too (bright green and pink pilau rice, red butter chicken…) - almost as if colouring had been used instead of spices? Service was not great either; we asked what rose wine they had by the glass and the waiter immediately left and returned with a glass of rose wine, without taking the other drinks orders. He then took the menus away before we had ordered and brought a spicy popadom that was badly burnt on one side and had to be sent back. The plain naan was so sweet I enquired if it was in fact plain or peshwari - I was assured it was plain. The ingredients themselves were good quality, just not prepared in the way I would expect in an Indian restaurant.

The strangest thing happened here. I ordered, in the restaurant, lamb rogan josh, a fairly average + spicy dish and my wife had the chicken bhuna, which was advertised on the menu as fairly hot. The popadoms were excellent, the garlic naan was excellent, both dishes were full of flavour BUT BUT BUT, there was ZERO SPICE in either dish! Now, I don’t mean that the dishes were mild. There was absolute zero spicy heat in either dish. It was as if they just hadn’t used spices at all. An Indian restaurant with zero spices!!! So, because of that, I’m rating this place a 2. But, I could have replicated it at home with a jar of pataks. The lamb rogan josh tasted like roast lamb that you would have at Sunday dinner with some spice free tomatoey sauce poured over it. I just cannot get my head around how bizarre the food was. If it was correctly spiced, it would have been epic! But it wasn’t, so it wasn’t. Plus, don’t serve me my Diet Coke as a glass bottle with a straw in it, I’m not 12. And to bald man hosting, don’t burp out loud in front of your patrons and stop with all the other gutteral noises too. If you’re looking for a great Indian curry, it’s not be to be found here. Sorry.

Ordered a take away online. Opted for butter chicken and a plain naan. Picked up on time hence the one star. Got it back to where we were staying. Butter chicken was really spicy and tastes nothing like any butter chicken I have tasted before. The amount of chicken in the dish was minimal. For £12.50 I was expecting something really nice. The naan was also very dry and not very big. It was on par with something I could have bought from Asda!

Beware!!!!!!!!!!! Madras and samba far too spicy, it’s ridiculous!!! we love spicy food but cannot eat it. You are going to kill somebody with this pisstake of spices! Paid good money for this!! Even the butter chicken is spicy, what’s going on ? What a waste of money!! Samosas are vile and onion bajhis are rock hard! Rice is great in the plus side. Warning- don’t bother with this place, nothing less than evil!!!!!!!!!!
