My wife ordered a curry from here by mistake as she thought she had ordered it elsewhere. I thought the worse but I was surprised it was very nice no side effects the next day we will use them again

Absolutely gorgeous. Prawn puree to start, loads of prawns so tasty. Chicken tikka masala yum yum, lots of chicken. And all at a great price, and delivered. Will definitely order again.

Great food from this takeaway. The food is consistently of a high standard, and I would say the food here is of a slightly higher standard than your average curry house, and for that reason I will continue to use them.

Amazing curries - our new favourite indian

Me and my boyfriend decided to get an Indian. Everything seemed okay with my boyfriends food but when I opened the korma the chicken was pink and bouncy. Not good enough the only reason I’m giving it 2 stars is because I like Indian food and my bf food was nice apparently

I was staying above here for a month, better than average food. Don't take debit card which is a pain.

Spice your self up at this take away establishment they sure no how to cook the perfect dish to your liking .They are pleasant and take care in making your dish to your liking if you ask . There food has never let me down and is always come up first class .

Used to be very good, but lately the food quality gradually gone down hill. Husband collected takeaway this evening, we both ate a couple of mouthfuls the rest was put in the bin-disgusting food.

Omg ordered a takeaway at 3pm for 5.35. As normal money taken email to confirm order at 3.10. Get an email at 5pm saying sorry your food is not coming. Me and the kids were Absolutely gutted. 3 to 5 days to get your money back. What a joke 🙄 love your food but very disappointed spice hut 😭😭😭😭

Best Indian takeaway ever the nan bread was so good. The chicken. Passata, mushroom rice and bo Bay potato's was out of this world. My husband and I had this between us and it was more than enough. And the iceing on the cake was they delivered it. Very hot and can't praise it enough

Order from this place all the time. Food is fantastic, reasonably priced and the delivery people are great.

It says delivery is free if order is over £15, then adds a delivery charge, even when your order is over £15, and a service charge, to already high prices! Small portions as well, to add insult to injury!

Don't know how many we've had excellent every time even tell my customers in craig-y-don how good it is and they agree

This take away never fails to amaze! Top food every time very tasty and always piping hot this is the place to go for a curry...and I eat a lot of them....🤣

Ordered chicken Biryani and it came with no vegetable curry!! Ordered a garlic naan and got a plain naan, same as last time!!! Food was ok but Never again!

WOW! I was blown away by how nice the food was from Colwyn Spice Hut. Ive tried many different Indian Dishes in different places and have never had one so nice. From the quality of the meat to the perfection of the balance of spices was truly outstanding. The best Madras I have ever tried. I would not hesitate ordering from this take away, worth every penny.

Went there and the food was lovely fist time eating there and definitely going back. Had the korma so will give a hotter one a go

To be fair I love a good curry, vist most curry houses on a weekend....and this it top notch! Been here a few times for takeaway and delivery and can not fault the food. Always hot and tasty and is now my place to go for Indian food...👍

Absolute embarrassment to indian cookery. basically brown stock soup with chilli powder in and leftover chicken probably from the weekend. this person in no chef or cook whatsoever beyond angry at the total crap and lack of knowledge these people must have basically ripping us off by cutting costs on crap meat and no spices on there curries. These people havnt a clue and should taste there own crap they serve. Pathetic disgraceful absolute load of crap deserve to be closed down it was the worst curry i’ve ever had and i use the term loosely that was no curry . Disgrace and disgusting

This is an unusualy good takeaway. I have ordered from here a number of times and always really enjoyed the meal. I especially like the huge naan breads and the mushroom bhaji. Prices, re reasonable and its obvious that alot of effort goes Into the dishes on offer.

We rarely get a take away but decided to have a night off from cooking and treat ourselves on the 26th as it was my birthday and we had been out all day. Firstly the service was great, was easy to order and it arrived just as restaurant said it would at 10pm. We ordered a mixed bhuna that we asked for spicy, a saag paneer, prawn puree, onion rice and a garlic coriander naan all of which came to 24.50. The bhuna was sweet not spicy and seemed to just taste of tomato. The saag paneer had melted mozzarella in it though who knows why it looked and tasted awful. The puree was not a puree it was a chipati which was not toasted but soggy and the naan was cold and soggy aswell. Overall everything lacked spice and was really sweet and did not taste like any Indian food we have bought or cooked before.

One of the best Indians I've had in a long time. Ordered online easily. The web page had a countdown and my order was ready for collection bang on time.

*0/5stars* Long black human hair in chicken. They somehow thought just sending out one replacement curry and zero rice (even though both were spoilt with hair) would be substantial, zero apology or any kind of manners, will never order again.

Ordered a birthday meal online with a few glitches, but I persevered. Phoned to confirm order and specify time. I was greeted great customer care, the order delivered exactly in time and the food was awesome. Very tasty, stayed hot and was delicious I've ordered before with same satisfaction. Definitely recommend thank you for a fantastic birthday treat.

This place has been consistently great for years, don't understand what's gone wrong, main course not what we ordered, mint sauce old & off, the keema nan & sheek kebab always a rich red colour & super tasty were almost grey & nasty. I did complain & got nowhere, I sent a personal email, again no response, so sad.

I have been using this Take-away for many months on a regular basis and have yet to be disappointed by the food or service. I usually order from the selection of house specials, all of which are excellent. I can't comment on the range of 'hot' curries as I don't order those, but the mild to mid-range selection have all been truly enjoyable. 5 stars.

We've eaten takeaway twice here in the past couple of weeks. Really friendly. Lovely flavours. I like hot and spicy so I'd recommend one of their Naga dishes. Spicy and lots of flavour without being too hot. Not greasy as with some takeaways. Big chunks of meat but tender and nicely cooked.

Ordered food which was a chicken bhuna, chicken madras, vegetable korma, and a chicken korma (not all for me, other people wanted food) Arrived reasonably quickly, upon inspection of the food I noticed how much oil was visible on the top of the food, fair enough oil is used in the cooking process but it was swimming in oil, had to get kitchen roll to drain the excessive amount of oil, secondly I noticed that the onion salad I ordered (every time I have ordered it, it has never contained any comdiment, just the onion, mixed with coriander and tomato) and noticed that when I opened it there was a very strong vinigairette aroma coming from it (too much to be edible) they also forgot a portion of rice and the onion bhaji's were stone cold and soaked in oil, I contacted the spice hut to inquire as to why there has been so many problems, they responded regarding the onion salad as saying that "they add ketchup and mustard for flavour" which is surprising, seeing as it is an indian restaurant, they also said that they would deliver the rest of the order along with extra onion bhaji's as a peace offering, I said ok that sounds reasonable, not even 5 minutes later the delivery person simply stood in front of the door, I opened the door and he simply dropped the food in front of me and walked off, I opened the remaining food to notice that the onion bhaji's were once again dripping in oil (I was actually able to squeeze out the excess oil into the sink along with the onion inside being raw there was that much, the rice I ordered was obviously microwaved as I have never had rice so chewy or tasteless in all my life, the chicken bhuna ordered for someone else was way overseasoned in terms of salt, almost as if the staff don't care about the quality of the food as long as they get paid, the chicken madras on the other hand was overseasoned with everything but salt, tasted like someone had dumped a mountain of curry spice on because they again don't care. Overall I would not recommend this restaurant, unless you just want to waste money for terrible food.

Ordered on just eat. Everything was very tasty and arrived in about 35mins. I would say the food was well above average for a takeaway.

I've ordered 3 times from Colwyn Spice Hut and there food is delicious I love there curries especially the chicken balti and pesfarwi naan breads lots to choose from lovely food!

Absolutely delicious, piping hot and nice and spicy everything was perfect. I had the house speciality sahee murgi which is Tandoori chicken off the bone cooked with minced meat, garlic, onions & fresh coriander in a medium sauce (Hot on request) I had it hot and spicy and it was so good the mince meat and quite a lot of tandoori chicken in it, the sauce was yummy. We had chutney tray and poppadoms and that was perfect. My partner had korma chicken with coconut rice it was perfect and the garlic naan was perfect. And I ordered some chips and they were perfect too like crispy french fries.

Lovely food and giod portion sizes. delivered in a good amount of time would highly reccomend (little pricer than some places but worth it)

Being a Middle Class Southerner , who,s just about been everywhere..done it , seen it and tasted it.

Ordered off just eat and when the women turned up with the food she was extremely rude towards me and my friends,the food was lovely until we cut our chicken up to see that it was uncooked. We called the shop and the rude women who delivered it answered and was very rude again and then hung up as we were explaining so we took it upon our selves to walk to the shop and talk the the owner he started to argue with us we asked for a refund and he refused to give it to us and called told us we were lying and that it wasn’t uncooked in the end he gave us the refund but told us we are never allowed to go back to them and we wouldn’t after how rude and poor there service was

Please ignore some of the reviews. food took 44 mins worth waiting for, delivery lady lovely, hot and fresh. The main people complaining are used to curry from a supermarket or one of The other boring restaurants. It is supposed to be fiery tasty and spiced. Love it

Food was poor to say the least Biryani was terrible greasy and over spiced the mixed grill had a large onion bhaji to bulk it out, neither my Husband and I enjoyed it or even finished it should have taken it back but went in the bin , have had alot of foood from here but no more

It has become a tradition to have some kind of take away on the beach at Old Colwyn on the last night of our holiday... And what a find this place is! Absolutely delicious. I don't think we'll be using any other take away again! Our girls did say the Korma was a little spicy- so I tried it... And it was the best Korma I've ever had! Probably because it did have slightly more of a kick than we are used to. But! We will definitely be returning (just asking for the Korma to be extra-mild!)

Having lived here for 2 years, I decided to give it a go, and was pleasantly surprised..It will become our regular curry house from now on!!! Delicious food, big portions ,prompt service and reasonable prices. I've eaten out in numerous Indian restaurants , and this one rates very high amongst them.

My last review was Harsh,and a bit unfair! I have changed my Opinion due to really liking their NEW easy to use website...and the food is actually rather nice! When a takeaway tries to be Good and Better than others,they deserve a chance to Shine!

had a mango curry and a tika with nans and bajis and few extras was incredibly nice maby over priced if i am honest but definetly lovely flavour if the price wasnt so high would get more often.

Can only comment on my experience, ordered 1/2 tandoori chicken asked for garlic instead of pilau rice also asked for the veg curry to be madras hot instead of mild and extra garlic in my naan, the changes where no problem, I was served by a very polite lady....food was as good as I have tasted anywhere, if the food is as good next time I have it will be giving 5 stars

I "SPECIFICALLY" Ordered a Naga Curry [Very Hot] ...What did I get,?...a Curry that was devoid of any form of Chillies or hotness!!!.....I,ve had ICE CREAM Hotter than this!!!

Will not be returning. Food took 30+ mins, the order was wrong and top it off I've been up since 5am throwing it all back up.

Unlike many other places, this takeaway offers a wide selection of vegetarian options. Including each curry with quorn pieces, plus veg curries and starters etc. Good food which tastes great too!

Load of shite. Says open till 11 refuses to do delivery after 9 pm on weeknights ( was a regular customer but no more)

Unfortunately i have had to white my original review here from 5 stars to 1. This place has gone downhill and we've had a bad stomach the last couple of times eating from here (should have realised after the first, I know! Lol). What's most disturbing is that we found something in our rice that can only resemble a sort of insect/ maggot. Wife almost puked when she saw it. Ew!
