Rhos Tandoori in Conwy

Just passing through ordered a delivery never again onion baji like a flat burger only 3 prawns in the curry very disappointing never use them again

We have used Rhos Tandoori delivery service for years and the food is always amazing,as is the wait time for delivery,but last night was exceptional.The chicken was so tender,and plenty of it (chicken tikka massalla) My pappadoms were warm,fresh and crispy,the chutneys were delicious,as were the hot freshly made onion bhajis.My partner had a chicken tikka roll,and it was packed full,and HUGE! They may have had a price increase,as have most places,but it really is worth it.Highly recommend.

Had a delicious chicken rezala curry and a garlic chicken curry. Both lovely tasting curries. Asked for extra garlic and was added with no problem. Very good service.

Always buy from here but never felt compelled to do a review before but you have excelled yourself tonight. 4 different dishes with all of us saying this is the best in a while even though your food is always excellent. Delivery early even with this daft 20mph limit. Thank you.

Reasonable indian (only does takeaways) - reasonably priced food and would happily try again. Lots of other restaurants to choose from in area also.

After a leaflet came through our door, the menu looked tempting, so we ordered a home delivery and we were not disappointed . We had Tandoori Chicken and Lamb Tikka, accompanied by fragrant pilau rice, Saag Aloo Bhaji and crispy plain popadoms. It came with salad, sauces and chutney, it was very good value.All was scrumptious, spicy but not too much, aromatic, tender meat and all delivered in less than 30 minutes. I just had to call the restaurant to thank the Chef personally for a very enjoyable meal. Highly recommended.

Gave us the wrong dish time before, then a dish that looked like vommit posing as a paneer dish. Hardly apologetic for it either, just arguementative . This place used to be great, we travel a long way and always used to use it. Won't be again

Visiting Colwyn Bay and didn’t know the area. Picked Rhos Tandoori from the internet for a curry. It was delivered within 45 minutes as promised and the driver was very pleasant. The curries were excellent and if I’m in the area again I wouldn’t hesitate to contact them again.

Take-away. Tough lamb; awful chicken tikka (salad is a couple of tablespoons of chopped iceberg lettuce); watery dahl. Tasteless. How disappointing. Most of it ended up in the bin. Maybe a bad day, but don't recommend at all.

I cannot go anywhere else after having food from Rhos Tandori. The food is really tasty, I can't complain. Fast service and also deliver to Junction. Great prices and lots of veggie options too. 100% recommend, one of if not the best Indian takeaways in North Wales.

Just had our 1st indian meal from Ross Tandoori. What can I say but, on time delivered, exactly what we ordered,punctual delivery and very tasty. As indian takeaways go, this is what anyone could want. We will be back.

Never keen on ordering from somewhere new but as we are on holiday why not? Ordered chicken biryani, chicken curry and a garlic Nan. Rang and with 20 mins our order was delivered to our holiday house by a cheery driver. The food was piping food. There was loads, enough for 4 people. It was really nice. Thank you

We had a takeaway from here on Monday 20th September 2021, as we were staying in the area for a week's holiday. It has to be the worst bhuna I've ever had. The chicken was dry and tasteless, it was greasy and extremely spicy/ hot. I had a few mouthfuls and had to throw it away. Not an authentic Indian takeaway!! My daughter didn't enjoy hers and my son in law was rather poorly later in the evening after eating his, which again he didn't finish. Ignore the dishevelled appearance. 5 on the food safety rating and 10 on the tasty rating! The butter chicken and saag aloo are standard fayre for us to order here and they taste amazing. The vegetable balti is very good for people not wanting a meat dish.

Always order from here and every time it is cooked to perfection. The staff are great the chefs are amazing. Really no other Indian comes close to this tandoori.

Terrible meal, the worst Indian food that I've ever tasted.

carnt understand the rave reviews, had a chicken tikka masala( very bland) like coconut soup and butter chilli chicken apart from about 1/4” of oil floating on the top it really didn’t have much taste just more blended soup, i think there must be a problem in north wales with ingredients( or lack of them) you go to london manchester liverpool cheshire it’s a different level, virtually all north wales they make the same stock and the texture is always like soup. very poor these are not chefs these are people who can cook basic food and with little competition they get away with it.Oh and the old classic the card machine doesn’t work!!! cash only so goaround the corner for cash machine to charge you!! great!!

Delivery not fulfilled never again

As a regular, love the food just had another takeaway normally start with papadoms but thought I'd try the samosas, seriously £3.20 for two mini samosas, never again, total rip off!!

Our first take away delivered meal from the Rhos Tandoori, and it won't be the last. Generous portions, lovely fresh veg in the meals, and about the right heat on each of the dishes to satisfy the mild and the hotter desires of our family. It was delivered very punctually and was nicely packed and in good condition. In fact we couldn't fault it. Thank you, it made for a great special treat Friday.

The chef's recommendations from the menu are simply unreal. All have been cooked to perfection. My favourites were the rezala chicken, along with the Roshni, Piri Piri and South Indian garlic chilli chicken. Wouldn't go anywhere else.

Sadly the curry I had today was inedible as it was overwhelming with chilli, it gave me a really upset stomach and was up half the night, I have had the dish before and was nothing like that, will not be going there again

Have used this takeaway for along time and have never been disappointed. However last night's chicken tikka was very watered down and pale in colour. I do hope this was a one off as its always been so good!

fast preparation of food, resulting in hot food when it arrives home. the food is tasty and flavoursome the madras is to die for. and my wife loves the tikka massala.

Have used this takeaway a few times and have been happy with the food and prices......But... today was extremely disappointed and shocked at the prices rises of on average 22%I ordered king prawn korma which would normally be £7.80 astonished to see it rise to £11.50p the prawns were supposed to be king prawns which they weren’t and only 7 of them which would have been ok had they been king. I will think twice before using this takeaway in the future.

Our 1st visit here after moving to the area. Recommended by a friend. Absolutely outstanding food. Especially loved that the meat is thinly sliced and not the huge chunks you get elsewhere. Terrific curries, and the GCK (garlic, fresh chilli, keema) naan was superb! Really friendly staff enthusing about the menu, which is always good. They have an enhanced menu starting this week too. Fabulous.

We have just eaten the best chicken biryanis, plain madras sauce and tikka massala sauces that we have had since we moved to Rhos On Sea 2 years ago. The Rhos Tandoori is by far the best. I just wish they had a restaurant too!

I had been recommended this Indian takeaway so was looking forward to a special meal after spending the day moving into my new house. However we found the chap taking our order to be a little unhelpful and the food, while prepared quickly, was nothing special. Not sure if they were just having an off night so I'll go again to give them a second choice, and I hope our next meals will be a bit more exciting

We tried the Rhos Tandoori rather than our regular Indian take away as it had been recommended by friends.The service was good during the ordering process, the food was prepared in reasonable time. Unfortunately, the food missed the levels and depth of flavour that we have from our favourite take away. Although we had different curry's there were far too similar in flavour.It was ok, but certainly not outstanding.

I wanted a chinese but it was closed and this happened to be the nearest take-away I could find. It doesn't look much from the outside but it has a 5 star food hygiene rating and so I thought I'd give it a try.

Since moving to North Wales in Sept 18 we have always had delicious food. Very tasty and very good portions.

It was the best curry I ever had.

The flavours of the lamb curry was nice, lamb not so which was gutting as I haven't had a curry for ages. Rice, naan was nice though takah dahl my partner thought wasn't so good. Overall OK. Asked if I could pay by card and was told the driver had a machine which he was surprised by as they don't carry them, good job i could borrow cash as I'd been stuffed for payment.

We use Rhos tandoori quite often, and I can say that it is without doubt it one of if not best takeaway around. The food is always of high quality and delivered piping hot. Staff are also very friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommended

Best indian takeaway ive had premises are very clean staff really friendly and helpful if you visit i recommend a prawn and mushroom rosoni its a chefs special not on the menu but a beautiful dish with nice heat and lovely flavours

Ordered on a Tuesday night for five of us. We were regular customers and when we were told that the order would take an hour we reluctantly accepted the timescale as the food is usually worth the wait. After an hour and a half and no sign of the food my wife rang to enquire where it was only to be told in a very rude brusque way that the guy was packing it! After another 20 minutes I phoned to say that I was going to order elsewhere as there was still no sign of the order. I found the staff to be rude and dismissive and won’t be using this restaurant again. It’s a real shame as they used to be great!

We moved to Rhos on sea and feel very fortunate. We love the food from here.

Gave it a few goes last year, no consistency in meals and poor average quality of chicken and meat, had a balti which was nothing like any I have ever had before, filled with dry salad tomatoes big peppers and onions hardly any sauce, rice is good nann bread not bad but quality of meat let's the curries down along with unusual recipes ingredients in them, given up on them now. Nowhere in the bay and Ross area can you get a good Indian takeaway these days.

I love curries and have been disappointed in the last few, in and around colwyn bay but had one tonight with the family...really great food authentic and damn tasty..highly recommended

Very average Indian, meal was expensive and not particularly good, need a bit more local competition, after paying £12 for my meal giving me 1 broken popadom and nothing with it was a bit insulting and a waste

Poor ! Ordered a Chicken Tiika Jalfrezi.... a few cubes of chicken over loaded with veggies such as rough cut bell peppers etc. poor value

On holiday in Rhos on sea I struggled to find good places to eat. Even worse the reviews on here seemed fairly hit and miss. I can recommend this takeaway. It has a 5 out of 5 hygiene rating, being in the trade I know how hard that is to get. We had onion bajis starters, these were hearty, tasty and definitely not "dry" as one reviewer pointed out on here. If anything they were wet and I dried them a bit in the oven. The Popadoms came with a sweet yoghurt dip, onions and diluted Mango chutney. Tandoori chicken had been marinated for a few hours so was tinged red but not roasted in yogurt and tandoori. This seems to be a theme of the restaurant I enjoyed my meal very much but I would have been happy paying a little more for the extra flavour. That said it was very good. The vindaloo was hot, not very hot. no oil splitting so I guess not a lot of Gee. There were a few complaints on here saying there was very little meat in the curry, I had at least a chicken breast in my curry, that really is enough and I prefer that to a lower quality meat. So in summary this was a great meal. The finer touches of sprinkled almonds, fresh coriander, cream etc are missing but its a great value tasty meal. I watched the chef cook my curry mixing the fresh spices and coconut etc from my seat in the lounge, very interesting, very fresh! Top tip, get a menu outside during the day, write down your meal and costs, add it up and present at the counter with the cash (no cards excepted) also be early... I was there at 4.30pm when they open, they arrived at 4.50, the phone was ringing off the hook and my meal was ready at 5.15

Had a delivery to Junction Saturday night chicken Madras amazing naan breads lovely poppadom starter with dips also kebab starter amazing fresh fresh fresh!! You will not get another Indian as good as this !!!! Had enough for my tea tonight pretty much all 3 of us ! Value for money.

This place is usually the best Indian take away however I must report that we had two meals on Saturday evening that took over an hour to wait on collection and when we got them they were no where near as good as usual. My Korma was very weak with no body to it lacking flavour and texture, as if it was rushed. I now presume that they were so busy they had no proper time to make a decent meal. I will now move on to find a nicer tasting Indian take away.

I've enjoyed great curries from Rhos Tandoori over the years. The lads in charge listen, advise and help with any food requests, and to be fair the final take away cartons have never been less than gorgeous/full.

we had a tasty takeaway last night from here, but the order was wrong. my husband ordered King Prawn tandoori but was given chicken tandoori. it was very good, but of course that's not the point!

Tried here for the first time enjoyed my garlic chilli chicken plenty of large chunks in it with nice fresh chillis. The Rogan josh was a little spicier than usual from other takeaways but we enjoyed both of the curries we had.

La comida más sabrosa que he probado nunca, con respecto a la comida india. Llena de sabor, especias y realmente tiene un auténtico sabor natural. Normalmente pedimos gambas jalfrezi y gambas South Indian king. absolutamente delicioso.

I rang Rhos Tandoori just after 16:30 to order a few meals because they announce that they're open from then. However, the chap on the phone said they're "just opening" so my order "would take 45 minutes." Eh?!Anyway, I popped in to the takeaway and had a little wait for my order. So I read an old magazine in the tired seating area, but my olfactory senses perked up when I smelled the delicious cooking.When I took my order home for my family & I, I was somewhat impressed; The naan breads were soft and well cooked, the poppadums were crisp, and the mushroom bhaji side dish, despite being small in the carton, was seriously fine.The two large aluminium containers, the main attraction, were sublimely superb. For start, both were full to the lid (something which the Bay's Indian takeouts could take notice of) and the contents were delicious.I have to admit that I like a spicy hot one, and so my first carton had a yummy chicken madras. My second carton, after reading positive reviews on here, was chock full of an amazing South Indian garlic chilli chicken curry, and I'd definitely recommend this one to all curry/Asian gravy connoisseurs.So then, great meals, but not perfect in every way I'm afraid.

I've been eating Indian food for over 40 years both in this country and abroad and can honestly say I've not experienced better for both the quality and consistency achieved over the last seven years or so.This may be due to the fact that the two brothers that run the place can both chef themselves so can keep a tight quality control.Their head chef Alex is also very helpful and will suggest something that's not on the menu if you really fancy a change.The staff are friendly end the place is immaculately clean.In fact there's nothing not to like about this takeaway.Well done to all of you!

I was offered a 'special' that was not on the menu - Southern India Garlic Chicken - very tasty. I hope there will be more 'off menu' meals in future.

I ordered food last night and had a South Indian garlic chilli curry which I was told wasn't on the menu but he recommended it. WOW really tasty and most enjoyable curry! What I like about this take away shop is the food is NOT swimming in grease like so many others now days and it's always pipping hot and really good value. The staff are friendly and will accommodate your needs. So to sum up 100% of the meals we have ordered from Rhos Tandoori have been really fresh and tasty, very happy customers and please keep up the great food!!

Every time we travel from Manchester to Llandudno,we visit this takeaway quite simply because it's the best we've EVER HAD. On top of this the staff are extremely friendly and welcoming
