Sabor Iberico in Islington

The paella is to die for and the service is exceptional I would recommend this restaurant to people who want to taste some of the best Spanish outside of Spain

This is the 4th time I visit ibérico and every time I go I regret it even more! Overpriced, unauthentic, terrible customer service, and overall a waste of time! Save your money and go to barrafina or just buy a flight to spain.

I came here for lunch on the recommendation of a friend. Wow! I was expecting it to be good but I was blown away. This is Spanish food done properly and with reverence to the fabulous ingredients. Best clams ever and croquettes to die for. The service was efficient, helpful, generous and friendly. Everyone seemed to take a real delight in the food and the enjoyment of the customers. I will certainly be back.

Really slow to serve food, waiting staff barely speak English and we barely speak Spanish which made for a fun ordering session.....but great food and fabulous pink/rose sangria by the glass! We ordered 5 plates between 2 of us and every one was delicious Wished we didn't have to go back to work - it would have been great to continue snacking our way through the whole menu!! Fantastic choices of authentic Spanish food available, lovely, if a little slow on service, but that's fine really, and a really nice restaurant layout. Will definitely be returning soon!

We came across this Spanish restaurant purely by chance, when we were looking for somewhere to eat before going to see a film at the Barbican. The food was very good - freshly made and tasty. The wine was fine, served at a good temperature and the service friendly. (So I'm very surprised to read some of the more negative reviews.) All in all, we had a very positive dining experience and will definitely come again. The waiter told us that he had grown some of the vegetables himself, which impressed us even more. So if you're looking for a good place to eat close to the Barbican, I would recommend Sabor Iberico.

if you are looking for a mediocre and overpriced place with surly, dishonest staff this is the place for you. frankly its awful. there are much better places and they will add plenty of dishes to charge you for before you can escape.

Had dinner here in November 2017 (myself and my wife). Nice atmosphere and food great just felt we were a little bit rushed to order as soon as we sat down (and a few times after that). We ordered what we fancied but the manager tried to persuade us to have an extra dish which we said we'd order if we ran out of food (we didn't), we were in and out in less than an hour, I'd go back but it's not one you could spend a bit of time in, I will say that the bill was really reasonable.

Went there this weekend and it was unfortunately below mediocre. The staff were arguing very loudly at the till which ruined the atmosphere. The waitress (although smiley) didn't understand English well so wasn't able to comprehend our menu requests. I wouldn't go again and wouldn't recommend it either.

There isn’t much more to say than this place is totally mediocre. Service was decent, atmosphere was decent, food was average to poor depending on the dish. Garlic prawns were tasteless with a small portion, pork stew had a watery flavour and portion size can only be described as mean! Best thing was the sweet potato fries. Prices did not represent good value whatsoever, can only imagine they rely on office workers charging to their companies. You can do so much better at so many other tapas restaurants in London. Definitely won’t be back.

I really enjoyed our meal at Sabor Iberico. We were celebrating my sisters birthday and the waiters surprised us with a beautifully presented desert of churros, chocolate and ice cream with a birthday candle and Happy Birthday written in sauce. The food was lovely and great value. I especially liked the gin and free tapas deal! Booked via opentable for 20% off too :-).

Came here recently with a friend, nice interior if a little quiet. Ordered the bread with aioli (nice), calamari (alright but a little sickly), chorizo (tepid and chewy), chicken wings (hardly any meat on them) and patatas bravas (nice). We visited on a Thursday lunchtime when there is lots of competition from the street food stalls in Whitecross St. The waiter was very pleasant but probably new to the job. The food was delicious and well priced. The coffee was gorgeous-not a hint of bitterness. Very well located for a trip to the Barbican. Will go again.
