Megan's at the Sorting Office (Islington) in Islington

Went on Valentine's night. Not busy. Shown to a table for 4 by serving hatch! Ordered plant based meal and was asked if we wanted a side order of chicken! Selected x2 cocktails - they didn't have either. Wasn't asked if we had any allergies. Poor service. Food overpriced and over cooked. Heard another customer complaining. We left without ordering pudding or coffee. Evidently the team of 3 serving were all trainees. Nuff said. We won't be returning. Enough other nice eateries in Islington.

What a shame!! The food was awesome and the waiters lovely and attentive! HOWEVER…to be told we needed to move on having waited 45mins for our first course and spent over £140 for 2 adults and 3 children really put a dampener on it! We sat at 11:30 order drinks which came and then ordered food. We waited over half an hour. The food arrived at 12:15! We were conscious of time because we had an 18month old who needed to be home to nap. We ordered ice cream for the children. WHILST I WAS STILL EATING MY MAIN! We asked for the bill with drinks still to finish and paid. Nothing was said to us by the waiter who took our money. The manager approached and said they needed our table. Totally spoilt the experience! If you’re not allowing enough time for 2 adults and 3 children to eat 2 courses (and only the children had ice cream) then I suggest You need to rethink your timings! Or get the food out quicker!! Such a shame. Won’t be in a hurry to return. Seems your prioritising profit over customer experience!!!!

Ordered 3 dishes for breakfast, saw them sitting on the hotplate for ages then finally 2 arrived and was told the third would be a couple more minutes. 5 min later, was then told the chef couldn't make the hollandaise sauce. Agreed to have the salmon and eggs without the hollandaise which then finally arrived way after we'd finished the other dishes. Disappointed to then be charged full price, and when I asked the manage came over and said he'd remove the service charge! Charged full price for a partial dish and they think it's fair to remove the service charge which was deserved anyway.... won't be going back

great service, great food, great interiors. This restaurant caters to many, but the ceiling lamp shades set at a low level above each table creates a wonderful sense of intimacy

Oh wow! I am so excited to share my experience! 3rd Feb we went to Megan's at the Sorting Office for my birthday celebrations. The food was absolutely delicious, and everyone enjoyed it a lot. The ambiance was fantastic too, and we had a great time. Although some of us had to wait a little longer for our food, it didn't matter much as the overall experience was fantastic. I would highly recommend this place to everyone and will definitely visit again. A big thank you to Matt and his team for making my birthday celebration so special!

Been here soo many times over the last few years, at least once a month and I've really enjoyed it but me and my boyfriend went here for dinner last night and saw multiple huge mice which is a problem and something you should be aware of. I saw 4 in the space of 3 minutes across the sofa/working area. We unfortunately won't be returning which is a shame.

The first time we went to Megan’s @ TSO four months ago was an okay-ish experience. The food was above average, and the service could have been better although it was still acceptable. Our second visit today will surely be the last one. We were a table of five and throughout the meal, the quality of service was frustrating. Serving coffee without sugar, toast without butter, and missing out on ordered items were part of the overall Megan’s experience. All of this when the restaurant wasn’t crowded. The staff were very trendy and chill. In fact, they were so cool that it was impossible to get their attention at all, as all of them just hung out near the central station and kept chatting amongst themselves. They were attentive to newcomers who had to be sat, and who’s order had to be taken or maybe, we were just not cool enough to deserve attention. We had to go ourselves to the central station thrice to get the missing items in our order. Megan’s @ TSO isn’t a happy brunch place for us.

Service was friendly and efficient. Although very busy at the time they made the effort to find a found a spot for me.

Food was nice. But service was awful. Despite having a booking for the party menu we were not able to order off of it due to someone over the phone giving us the incorrect information. Had to call someone each time we wanted to order drinks, food etc. Despite all the issues that arose manager did not even offer and apology and almost implied it was our fault. Would not be returning!

Lovely restaurant serving sharing plates with a Mediterranean slant. Food is good although on the pricey side did for what you get. Staff are all very friendly. Bhavi in particular was very friendly, helpful and accommodating and made sure everything was perfect for our staff Christmas party. Thank you Bhavi!

Brunch was very disappointing as the food was not freshly cooked, instead was luke warm, obviously been cooked quite a while ago and kept warm, meaning poached eggs were rubbery, sausage very tough and inedible, mushrooms greasy. Wont be returning here.
