I think it's taking advantage of a "dogs welcome" restaurant when a diner on a nearby table has their pooch on their lap, licking out of a dog bowl on their table! Not my view of a great dining experience. So glad I wasn't on the next door table.

The food has become lacklustre. The mezze bowl came with a small spoon of hummus and 3 rather hard, over cooked and tasteless falaffels. Flatbread hard and cardboard like. Poor value for money. Very small side of chips and had to ask for cutlery! No offer of sauces, had to ask again for that. One order on the table was incorrect.

The food was good—we had a Christmas brunch and lamb doner. However, the service was really bad. We stood by the entrance waiting to be seated for more than three minutes, despite having a reservation. Multiple staff members saw us but didn’t acknowledge us at all. We had to go inside to get someone to serve us. We were seated at a table near the kitchen, where the chefs kept chatting and shouting. When we asked to switch tables, they refused, even though there were a few empty tables available. The waiter handed me the coffee across the table instead of placing it properly in front of me. I expected much better service, especially in London!

Warm. You won't get any service though.

Our waitress was Bhavi and she was so attentive - we had the best bottomless brunch for my friends birthday and she was an excellent waitress. Overall the vibes at Megan's were very good and we loved the food. Couldn't recommend more.

Disappointed all round. The team was either understaffed or nobody care/ knew what they were doing. We were basically left to our own devices the entire 2 hour period, even though we were sat directly in front of the till. The only time a staff member organically approached us was to ask if we wanted the bill. Pretty shocking service. I don't recommend the sharing platters as the portion sizes are tiny for the price you pay (though everything is overpriced IMO). Flavours were nice, but it basically felt like pre-made food all assembled together at the end without anything really combinging it to make a coherent Med inspired meal. The real standout was the potatoes, but for all the wrong reasons. They were simply abysmal. Nothing 'za'atar' about them- no flavour, looked like they were from a packet. The cocktails are also questionable - stick to the wine/ beer! The only redeeming thing about the place is the decor. Go for the pictures, leave before you order the food (if the staff even turn up!).

We visited on Sunday. The restaurant was reasonably busy. We liked the space, the fact that we were given a nice quiet table as we were with our dog. We had to wait some 25 minutes for the food, which was good. The problem was that our starter arrived with the mains. We refunded the starter as we could not cope with all of the food at once. (The small table could not cope either). The cake and tea were very good too.We complained about it. Our complaint was handled well and the situation was recovered. On the whole we would recommend this restaurant

Staff were super friendly and accommodating. I have celiac, so they were quick to point out the things I could eat and said they used a separate frier.

As a Megan myself, always wanted to visit one of these restaurants, so came all the way from Leicester! Mohammed made our visit so special. We did the bottomless brunch, our drinks were never left empty, he had such attentive customer service style, I will definitely come again! Thanks Mohammed! You are the best!

I have been coming to this Megan’s branch on and off for a few years as it’s super close to my flat and a great place to work. During and immediately after Covid it was amazing - great food, including lovely deli-style lunch options, great service, great management. It then got pretty bad, with flavourless dishes cooked poorly and extremely slow service. It has more recently picked up again, which is fab, although today I had been a bit disappointed. The bacon Megan’s uses these days is so thick cut and there’s so much fat it’s really not appetising to look at and doesn’t have much flavour, and on this occasion there was so little meat (pretty much solely fat) that I actually couldn’t eat it! Being served a dish that you need to use a knife and fork for on a wonky metal tray with paper under the food also felt very canteen-like - the paper inevitably gets broken up and in your food and the tray makes the dish look cheap so I hope they go back to using plates! I was similarly disappointed to find that they were out of decaf coffee today and also now only have one dairy free cake option (the old pumpkin and coconut loaf was AMAZING but that has gone). Finally, this branch is always insanely hot inside so I really hope they can do something about this, as well as please fix the dead plug socket at the table behind the entrance that hasn’t worked for literally years…! However, despite these niggles I’m still giving four stars because while I was still there a manager saw my review and came over to chat about the feedback. I feel genuinely confident they will take it in board and are committed to getting the branch back up to the standard it used to be :-)

Estábamos sentados fuera y nadie vino a comprobar que todo estaba bien en ningún momento durante la comida - decidió comer lo que me dieron, pero no pudo superarlo - el desayuno vegano - todo estaba lleno de especias hasta el punto de ser no comestible. No vimos a otro miembro del personal hasta que entramos a pagar. Tristemente no volveremos, lo cual es una pena porque está en un entorno agradable.

Wonderful spot in Islington, stunning airy interior, great vibes, delicious food and friendly staff - what more could one ask for! I ordered the vegan brunch with hash browns, so flavoursome and fresh - didn’t feel super heavy and full after finishing this, just extremely content. Our waitress Nada was an absolute joy and honestly elevated the whole experience with her kind, friendly and fantastic energy, going above and beyond to ensure we were satisfied - thanks very much Nada you made our day 😊 100% will be coming back!

Excellent all-day brunch choices and Turkish-inspired main plates. I recommend the Lamb Open Kebab made with slow-cooked lamb shoulder and the mezze bowl. Very dog and kid-friendly, friendly and attentive service.

I had brunch at Megan's on Monday. It was incredible! The staff were incredibly kind and attentive. The food was delicious and they were mindful of my allergies which I really appreciated. I came on Saturday and I loved the place even if there was a crowd we were taking care of by our lovely waitress nada she kept a good eye on me and my friend (at some point I was even clinging to her😅) , the food and drinks were delicious 10/10 and I would definitely recommend especially if she is your waitress.

It was my my birthday and my eldest daughter treated me to dinner here. The decor of the restaurant is beautiful and the the dim lights set a lovely evening mood. The cocktails were very good and clearly of high quality. The same could also be said for the food I especially enjoyed the lamb kebab and warm brownie which I received with a candle from our lovely waitress Nada. She was the star of the evening as she made amazing suggestions and made my evening with my daughter that more special which I’m very thankful for. The manager who served us on shift was also great however I did not catch his name. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone and I will definitely be back more regularly.

while it’s such a cute restaurant the service here was unbelievably slow. we just ordered a few drinks and it took over a half hour for each round to get here. they kept apologizing and yet we were one of 3 parties in the restaurant on a monday so it’s not like it’s busy. very disappointed!

We visited Megan's on a Sunday just after midday for Brunch. We won't be returning. It was a poor experience from start to finish. It took us ages to be allocated a table, despite pre-booking. When we did sit down and order, we asked for some tap water. It never arrived. When the food arrived, it was both poor quality and missing items. I had Eggs Benedict. The toast was thin and small and the eggs overcooked to the point of they may as well have been hard boiled! My partner had the vegan brunch but it came without the tomatoes or avocado as was described on the menu. When I questioned this, we were brought some tomatoes on a side dish but were told they'd run out of avacado. This was not advised when the item was ordered. Instead, the plate arrived with what can only be described as cheap and nasty tater tots in place of the avocado. Despite questioning this, no further action was offered or taken. Whilst waiting for the table to be cleared, which took a while, two tables nearby were asked to leave as they had paid their bills. There were plenty of other empty tables within the restaurant. In short, food was poor and overpriced, service was iffy at best and it was a poor experience. We won't be returning. The two stars are awarded as the restaurant itself has a nice ambience and the staff were polite, despite not being all that good at the service element!

Context - review is reflective of a busy weekend morning period. The staff were very friendly but service took quite a while so food did arrive cold, but the flavours were still nice. The brunch portions were also very small for the prices that they were. Hot chocolate with a giant toasted marshmallow was listed on the menu, but what arrived was an untoasted, rock hard stale marshmallow that was the standard size you get in a bag from the supermarket, which given it was £4 was disappointing. I would go back again but probably not at the sort of very busy time we did as I expect this was the reason why we encountered problems.

I was surprised by the overwhelmingly positive reviews. To be honest, I found the food subpar. I tried to remain objective and sampled 2-3 dishes, but unfortunately, none of them came close to being authentic. The dessert, however, was quite good, which was a relief, but overall, the food was disappointing. Portion sizes were also small and not worth the price. That said, ambience is aided by lighting and decor, but lack of crowd & vibe on a Friday night is let down. The service was just okay—nothing exceptional to mention, in fact they try to push for ordering add ons without intimating about the additional charge Overall not a place I would recommend in London
