Sabirs Grill Huddersfield in Kirklees

Gone downhill, no point even being open anymore. Some stuff on menu not available due to no stock (wedges, smash burgers). Dead atmosphere, only 1 person working, cleanliness needs to improve, cold inside, food went cold quick and tasted salty. Nowhere near as good as the Sheffield one. I came here when it newly opened and it was good then but best off avoiding now.

I visited Sabir’s Grill in Huddersfield for dinner and had a mostly positive experience, though there are a few areas for improvement. The atmosphere was decent, but the playlist left something to be desired. The playlist consisted mostly of Quran recitations and Islamic songs, which didn’t I didn’t mind but as a business it didn’t quite match the fast-food/restaurant vibe. A more upbeat playlist would have enhanced the dining experience. The service, on the other hand, was excellent. The staff were friendly, attentive, and quick to bring out our orders. Despite a small mix-up with a drink, they promptly corrected it without any fuss, which was impressive. For the meal, I ordered the peri-peri half chicken with rice, and my partner had a burger. The rice was a standout—delicious, with that flavorful Asian style that I absolutely loved. Unfortunately, the burger didn’t meet the same standard. It seemed a bit stale, with buns that weren’t as fresh as expected, and the overall portion was too small. We ended up ordering additional peri-peri wings with rice to feel satisfied, which wasn’t ideal to have to do that. The portions for the peri-peri chicken were decent but could have been more generous. Cleanliness was generally good, but I noticed that tables weren’t being cleaned immediately after customers left, sometimes taking up to 10 minutes. In terms of value for money, I found it to be average. The prices matched the quality of food, but there’s room for improvement, especially with the burger. Overall, despite a few hiccups, I would consider returning, and I’d recommend Sabir’s Grill for its friendly service and tasty rice and peri peri chicken. With a few adjustments, it could easily become a go-to spot. Keep it up guys.

Pizza was really tasty. everything was good and tasty. enjoyed my meal and kids.

I have ordered from here a lot of times and quite honestly wouldn’t leave a bad review. The amount of skin on the chicken is way too much now, it is all soggy and the sauce makes the bun completely soaked to the point you’re just eating wet bread. The spice is still fine but the flaming fusion burger quality has dropped off so bad and left us with bad stomachs also. When I lifted the bun all the skin was stuck to the bread and the food was not nice at all. The chips are also way over salted

Ordered here for the first time, ridiculous late and cold when it arrived. Won’t be ordering again.

The food is good but a bit annoying when you order a drink and they send something else.

The restaurant is very clean, the staff are amazing and I had the best chicken burger meal in years. The chicken fillet was cooked to perfection. It was tender with a light, crispy buttermilk coating. The fries were nice and thin but still fluffy inside - awesome! I think that I have discovered a new place to treat myself...

First time I came here and was amazing. So delicious and food was on point. Hamza and Ali served us with great legendary and came up a few times and asked us if we were ok and needed something else. Food 10/10 Service 10/10 Price 10/10 Deffo try it out if you’re in Huddersfield.

Ordered sauces with burgers but was told sauce was on it states 2oz and you get a choice of two so it should be drowned in chilli and mint sauce and other one should have had 4 ounces of garlic mayo ( according to their selection process ) and there was sauce but it wasn’t garlic. Food was good though just difficult to understand what you will get when you order and this is the same with most places. Would recommend and would buy again. Very enjoyable.

When there the break my fast. Staff where friendly, they had a great offer on their milkshakes at £1.99. They had ran out of some mix ins which is understandable at that price demand must be high. This place is what you expect from a asian takeaway. The pizza heavily topped with a nice thick base. The chilli sauce with a hint of mint. The grilled chicken burger was wuite tasty and the fries were nice then fresh and crispy. The garlic mayo was also decent. The mint sauce was a bit weak in flavour. The chopped chicken and rice were not just boiled they had flavour to them. I would 100% recommend and return here when in the area.

food came cold after an hour. We were being ignored by the staff. After when we wanted to speak to the manager or owner we were told there not at the restaurant but another staff membed told us there was only a manager? Then they tried to back themselves by saying he doesnt speak english fair point if we werent speaking to him in our own language the one he speaks? Then he wouldnt let us speak to the owner and wouldn’t give the owners name. Its not the first time ive been here but sure will be the last. We also odered milkshakes and he was to busy talking to us to finishing making them so we had to wait another hour. Very very disappointed and will not be recomding to family or freinds. We also said we were gonna leave bad reviews And the worker says ‘ i dont care’

Definitely need Sabir if you’re ordering from here. Stood at the counter for 10 mins for somebody to come take my order, left and got food from somewhere else.

I ordered the chicken flaming fusion burger with cheesy chips and a mint sauce dip on the side. I enjoyed every bite of it. The food was still hot when it was delivered. The burger was saucy (the way I like my burgers!), succulent chicken with amazing flavours so I definitely would order it again. The cheesy fries was so tasty, they drizzle cheese sauce all over the fries and it went so so well with the mint sauce I bought on the side. I defo recommend to anyone who can handle their spice!

The food is nice BUT IT WAS COLD. You really do need to use those bags that keep the food warm. My uncle knows the owner and he always says good things about Sabir’s but if the food comes cold then not worth it. It doesn’t taste the same when it is re heated up specially the chips

Just ordered the following. Asian style pizza / per peri chicken with rice / wedges and 2 chicken burgers with fries. A job well done and food was piping hot with lots of flavour. Will be ordering again as they use quality ingredients. Thank you. Saj

Average at best, kebabs were ok however the ready made garlic naan that shop bought, dry and tasteless. The salad was more of a garish. Thankfully I didn’t over order. Huge rooms for improvement.

Here are the highlights: - - great flavour to the peri food, though the chicken needs to be charred a lot more - chips and sauces are very good, though they are very skinny fries which some people may not like - smash beef burger is one of the best I’ve had; very clean flavours though the quality of the meet is quite bad with cartilage here and there - peri chicken burger forget about it - spicy dipped chicken burger is good; very fresh ingredients but lacks flavour - pizzas are standard desi loaded pizzas - milkshakes are 10/10 - great service from the boys at the counter

Was very quiet when we visited on Sunday. Food was good and waiting time no more than 15min. Think staff shortage as there were uncleared tables which was a bit off putting. Not bad overall.

Food was cold and tasted awful because of it being cold. And item was not available so got an alternate but asked not to have gherkins as allergy but was still inside the burger.

Quality was just okay but the bun was soggy and everything cold. fries are in an open bag meaning they don’t stay warm.

The loaded fries here are the best ones, I’ve ever had and a good value for money! Farakh and Myra were both so lovely!

Ordered chicken strips and chips with chilli and mint sauce separately. Took the sealed bag home when I got home there was no chilli or mint sauce for which I had paid extra for both sauces and the had put a little drizzle on it when I phoned to complain as all the chicken and fries had gone soggy. Won’t be going there again chickanos are far better service and quality of food. Don’t waste your money there are better places to eat in Hudds

I ordered a garlic naan and only got a plain naan

We were disappointed with this place. We ordered 1/4 chicken which says on the menu it comes with salad but we never got any. The chicken kebab for £10 was also a tiny portion with hardly any chicken pieces and the salad was brown and soggy.

Never ordering from here again had a couple good orders then now I’m trying to call to make an order and they kept answering and hanging up the phone so I drove and sat outside because they didn’t close for another hour so was confused why so I try calling whilst watching and literally watching them pick the phone up and put it straight back down what kind of customer service is that it’s all good because everytime I order it’s for the family and it’s like a £50 order each time you’ll never see mine or my friends or family’s custom again if I was a new restaurant I would be staying open late to make my customers happy and satisfied not ignoring custom highly let down as the burgers are pretty nice but don’t deserve my custom after watching them answer and hang up instead of just saying sorry mate we can’t take orders or we are closing soon none of it so rude

Very disappointed considering the hype this place had. We ordered grilled peri chicken with rice and a peri wrap meal. Chicken was not grilled more like boiled with sauce brushed on top. Very bland, and the salad and mint sauce in the wrap overpowered the chicken. Rice was like Uncle Bens. Fries were really nice however. Not worth the price paid, better off at Dixys.

Arriving time at shabirs 22.05 and realised they had signs all over the window stating "CASH ONLY" realising this i had walked in and asked a member of staff what time they would be closing as I had to go to the Atm machine to make la cash withdrawal. I returned at 22.15 to be told they are only taking orders for takeout and no eatting in the resturant was allowed due to cleaning requirements. While I would imagine most business owners are honorable, tax abiding citizens why would anyone in this day and age accept CASH ONLY? Advice to owner /franchises you need to look into accepting upto date payment methods and your staff, dash and close times need to be shortened from the stated time 23.00 since they need to close 45mins prior closing time to clean the sitting in area. Rothertham branch never had a issue with anything brilliant staff, brilliant owner and food always spot on just a shame bad experiences with huddersfield branch.

Ordered by phone and then came in to eat. The food was great! The burger and the chicken were top notch. I was served by Myra - great customer service both on the phone and when I got into store.

Went a few weeks ago was bang on.. bit now went to zero real quick. Absolutely awful both pizzas tasteless the dough had a burnt pan taste.. toppings were old.

Service was rubbish. Walked in to shop and had to wait 10 minutes before someone decided to come from the back to serve, one customer had left waiting whilst the staff decided it was more important to carry on chatting. Ordered Asian special pizza and full chicken, both were very salty, family did not enjoy the food and forced ourselves to finish it. Pizza did not have much topping, usually expect more from an Asian Special, unfortunately nothing special about this Pizza. Full Chicken was tender which I liked but not enough flavour and very salty, some parts were more salty than others. When i picked up food, I was saying to the kids the food smelt very nice, definitely smelt better than it tasted. Most likely would not be going back. Atmosphere I gave 5 as the seating area has nice ambience and everything looked clean.
