Sabir Tandoori in Bromley

Had a delivery from here a couple of times now. Delivery was as advised, and the food delicious. The mushroom rice is delicious with plenty of mushrooms in and the other food delicious too.

The Sabir is hidden away in a small precinct that looks as if you’re going back to the late 60s early 70s and you’re wondering if Till Death us do Part will be on the Telly when you get back home. Quite bizarre. We had a curry for two as a gift given to us and it was for this restaurant. Prior to tonight, we knew nothing about the Sabir. On arrival we were greeted by a friendly waiter and after handing over our gift letter, were shown to our table. We had Cobra, which is on draft, chose our food and when it came we were not disappointed. Balti Chicken Jalfrezi and Methi Chicken , cauliflower, green beans and onion bhajis- all very nicely cooked. Service was excellent and the staff can’t do enough for you so, if ever you are anywhere near Hayes Lane, pop into Sabir Tandoori.

Another restaurant where the chef has made (or in this case) broken the reputation. Whatever you may order it is bulked up with onions when served. Fried, boiled or mushed. Not what an Indian menu is supposed to be.

We were introduced to this restaurant when visiting friends who live nearby, and returned recently on our own for a family meal. Set in a small outside shopping precinct in a residential area near Bromley town centre, the restaurant frontage and inside decor are perhaps not the most salubrious, but it is satisfactory and more than made up for by the warm welcome, excellent service, extensive menu and very good food. Its setting probably means that it caters largely for a very local clientele, so don’t be put off if it is not too busy when you arrive. We had a lovely meal for five, including starters and dessert for three, and two rounds of drinks for just over £100. Very good food and service, and overall excellent value.

We have eaten here as a family for years and the food and service have just become better and better with the passing of time. Tremendous value for money. A short 20 min walk from Bromley South. We have never had a bad meal wether we have eaten in or had a takeaway delivered.

The food was tasty and authentic. The staff are polite. The place just needs a lot of improvements because we initially didn't want to eat there until we saw good reviews. But judging the place face value, the outside looks miserable with only a few customers or sometimes none inside. The price is very affordable especially for the taste of the food. The management needs to promote the restaurant and make the place look more enticing.

Me and my partner went here as it was close by. The staff are very friendly and welcoming and the food tasted fresh and rich with flavour. We amended are dishes slightly and they was cooked to perfection. The decor is a little dated but I kind of liked that as it felt nice and humble. Well worth a visit, nice n quiet and good value for money.

We eat here regularly and have always had a great meal. The owner is extremely pleasant and helpful. The restaurant is normally fairly quiet, which suits us.

Sabir has been catering to locals both eat in and take away for ages and deserves the loyal support it gets. No prizes for innovation but for a trad north indian curry they are always reliable and very helpful friendly staff.

We love it here and visit frequently. The food is always spot on and the owner is very friendly and likeable.

Very local and convenient, but always good value. Will cook exactly what you request, and make adjustments to existing dishes. Very extensive menu covering all varieties of Indian cuisine. Very friendly atmosphere and excellent service. Tucked away in small shopping precinct in residential area and consequently most favoured by local people, but well worth visiting from further afield. Highly recommended.

An excellent restaurant which is clean net & tidy, good menu with the owner meeting & greeting you on arrival,he also waits on the table. Staff very pleasant & friendly, we have eaten there many times & never had a bad meal. We will continue to eat at this super Indian restaurant.

The Sabir can be a little quiet, which is a real shame, because the welcome and food at the restaurant are excellent and nothing is too much trouble, and dietary requirements can be catered for by the owner and his staff.

Been going to sabir for many years, but due to moving around Bromley have tried other Indian takeaways in recent years. Thankfully discovered they deliver to our new location, possibly the best Indian takeaway in Bromley, food amazing a few free poppadoms which I've noticed most others if you don't order them you don't get, but the sabir chucked in a few, price really cheap in comparison to others, and staff always friendly don't go anywhere else this is the best!

This is my local bar and great Indian restaurant, five minutes walk from my front door! The range of Indian food is extensive, the owner, Sayeed and staff friendly. Wednesday nights are 'Buffet Night', where one can choose ANY food from the menu for £10!! Sundays are 'Buffet Lunch' from 1pm, where Sayeed serves a multiple choice buffet lunch - not to be missed.

We regularly have take away from here for the past 10 years. Always good and good customer service. They are very friendly.

Food was awfull and tasteless .. service was poor. Flat cobra.. and my wife was served a flat coke.. we are new in Bromley. . Never coming back here again.

I've lived near The Sabir for 15 years and it's always been my Indian of choice for a reasonably priced good quality meal. Their home delivery service is excellent and somehow the food always arrives hot and ready to go. Their Dhansak and Biriani dishes are especially worth a try and for starters I recommend the mixed kebab....Onion bhaji and three types of grilled meat. Yummy!

Went out to celebrate with my partner to our a favourite curry house. Love going there. Looked after by the owner, Mr Ali and his team. Very friendly atmosphere and great food. I only eat fish and the Bengal Fish Chilli Masala is wonderful and the trout is excellent to. Lobster aka King Prawns are excellent as well. Never had a bad night in there. Only want to post on trip advisor, where I have a good meal. Not some of the local curry houses, where I have been disappointed, not only with the food but also the service. Very reasonably priced and great on Wednesday, when it is banquet night. Not really known locally and not the easiest to find but worth making the effort. What I like is you can go for a night, not rushed out of the door.

Dinner for two, a lovely evening with great food. Lamb Passanda! Excellent!!! It is my favourite. Chicken Tikka starter is also really good.

I ordered through hungry house but was concerned as I had not received and order , I phoned them and got the Most disgusting customer service , do not order if you want decent service .

Went here for the first time tonight, after seeing positive reviews here on Tripadvisor, and because it's walking distance from our home. We hadn't previously known it existed, despite living here for a couple of years.We were delighted to find a curry house that was bright, clean and wonderfully friendly. No sullen waiters, but rather a hospitable and warm owner, and clearly a good team who make for a really nice and relaxing atmosphere.The food was really good, too, especially my wife's king prawn shashlik, and our begain bharta aubergine. And very reasonable prices.It was valentine's night tonight, and two three things stood out, which capture the friendly nature of the place. First, they'd made a real effort with some valentines decorations. Second, they had a valentines menu with set-menu options, but rather than try to foist it on us they instead offered it after we'd perused the main menu saying it was just a few more options. And lastly, they gave my wife a rose when we left.We'll be back. A nice place!

Have visited this place a few times and we always have a warm welcome. Large and varied menu and everything is cooked to a very decent standard .Located in a small block of shops on Letchworth drive just off of hayes lane.Well worth seeking out

You could not find a more friendly restaurant. It is tucked away behind Mead Way. Bromley.Great food nice friendly staff very large menu.

Second visit this time with friends. Food is really good with a number of dishes you don't usually see. Very comfortable relaxed restaurant with nice ambiance. Only slight criticism is please turn heating up slightly.

Popped into this restaurant for the first time last night and we were very pleasantly surprised!! From outside it doesn't look very good really but inside is lovely! The service was excellent - not a busy night - and the food was delicious. We will DEFINITELY be returning as it is only 2 mins walk from our new flat!

As a frequent visitor to this restaurant, I have always found the service very friendly and attentive. The food is consistent. The decor could do with an update but as the prices are reasonable , I can understand the lack of updating. It is however always clean. It is a very traditional Indian Restaurant.The chicken tikka madras is very tasty and spiced well. The tikka lamb and chicken tikka was succulent and flavoursome.On a Wednesday the restaurant offers a special deal for £9.95 per person and this is excellent value. It includes poppadoms, a starter and main, a side and rice, what is really good is that you can choose any selection from the menu not an abridged version.Worth a visit to this hidden gem.

We ordered a takeaway from Sabir Tandoori this evening having asked them if they could make our veggie choices vegan. They were more than knowledgeable, helpful and honest about what they could and couldn't offer us as vegans. When the food came OMG it was absolutely bloody amazing. We had 5 dishes (and one fish and naan for the non veggie person) and a roti and each had it's own very distinct tasty flavour and all of them were really fresh and generously sized. It came to £18!! Absolutely gem of a restaurant which we'll eat at time and time again... I'm so full but just want to go back for more.
