It's a shame this lovely little venue is still closed down even now covid regulations have lifted but fortunately they still do food takeaway /delivery. I couldn't find the menu online to see what they offer, but I was able to call and as it was Sunday order the Sunday roast. This is available as a small or large, which is a nice option, as I personally prefer a smaller portion. I did ask if they had a vegan option , which they didn't but as a one off I had the vegetarian nut roast and was able ask for it without the Yorkshire or cauliflower cheese. Even as a small portion , it was really generous and had lots of vegetables, which makes me happy. Would certainly order from here again and even more so I look forward to this venue opening its doors hopefully soon, so I can enter the venue for food and drinks .

Our family frequently use Rys Bar for Sunday lunch and have always been impressed with the care and service offered especially with our older family members. The food is really wonderful, homely and fantastic value for money. Today we used the home delivery service and it was amazing. Thank you for this service which does so much more than deliver food. At these difficult time is great that folk can get a good meal, have a sense of reference to Sunday’s and have something to look forward to. God bless you all

We came for a carvery today as a spur if the moment visit. The only food you help yourself too was the vegetables as you are given meat, 1 tiny dense Yorkshire pudding, 3 roast potatoes and a stuffing ball. The beef was extremely pink and my husband could not eat it but the turkey was nice. The potatoes tasted frozen. It was a weird set up and we were told when to go up to collect our food. We left before the desert as we did not feel very comfortable

Staying in the area on holiday & did some research on restaurants. This had excellent reviews so booked in for Sunday Carvery. Must say a fantastic choice, a choice of four meats, beautiful roast potatoes & Yorkshire pudding. Too many vegetables to mention. A very warm and friendly welcome and the two ladies that were in the restaurant were excellent. Even managed to have a chat with us to advice on places to visit in the area. Made to feel very welcome and thoroughly recommend.

This was our fourth visit to the carvery and as always we found it both good quality and good value. I judge restaurants by the vegetables, as this is what most get wrong, at Ry's there is a good selection, and neither raw or boiled to death, and presented in small dishes that are frequently changed. We are yet to be disappointed.

Have been here for Sunday carvery a few times and can't fault it! The meat is cooked to perfection, roasties are amazing and there is a great selection of veg (no frozen stuff here!), and it is always lovely and hot. John and Jenny are great hosts and Mark is lovely. We have also tried the take away loaded chip boxes a few times, steak and blue cheese to die for!!

No regresemos.

This was our second visit since we first visited last October. There was a choice of menus at the bar and I opted for the Cottage Pie with veg and my husband chose the Sirloin steak with all the trimmings. We both really enjoyed our food and the portions were very good. The atmosphere was very pleasant and relaxed and the service was excellent. Now that there are more menu choices, we look forward to returning more regularly. Overall this has to be the best value bar restaurant in the town.

We went in not being sure whether evening meals were served as outside there is only mention of breakfast and lunches served. It’s a shame the menu is not varied enough. The main choices were burgers, mixed grill and some salads. We chose the burger with BBQ sauce with battered onion rings and French fries. It was well presented and was cooked to perfection with cheese and bacon. We had a bottle of South African red wine which went very well with our meal. The premises are olde worlde with original beams, however the restaurant room is very bland and does not have the nice warm feel of the pub area. We would be very happy to return if the menu is changed and gives us more choice of dishes.

Being local we are regulars to Ry's bar for Sunday carvery - we can't rate this highly enough in terms of quality, value for money and service. This is good honest food at good honest prices and consistently always an extremely pleasant experience.Sunday lunch comprises quality roast meats - usually a choice of four with an abundance of perfectly cooked and piping hot vegetables. Jennys cauliflower cheese is exquisite and the range on offer is amazing, couple that with the generous portions (of whatever you fancy) makes this a truly memorable place to eat. Crispy roast potatoes, parsnips, stuffing, yorkshire puds and PROPER gravy. The restaurant is well presented and comfortable and the bar is quaint with beamed ceilings and an open fireplace. The combination of Jennys' cooking the service offered by John and Mark makes this hard to beat. (The music is always great too!)We haven't eaten there during the week but would fully expect the standards to be as high as they are at the weekend.

Went to Ry's this evening with my son for a carvery. Freshly cooked beef, turkey and gammon were available with all the vegetables we could wish for. Forget those pub carveries where you can see them wince if you ask for an extra slice of meat, this is a wonderful place. My son wanted a burger and although it was a carvery evening this was no trouble. Jenny and John Taylor make everyone feel welcome and at home and nothing is too much trouble for this wonderful down to earth couple. Excellent wines and beers are available too.

Attleborough is a market town located half-way between The City of Norwich and the town of Thetford in Norfolk.Rys Bar and Grill is located in Exchange Street Attleborough, within a lovely olde worlde pub, with low ceilings and original beams. It has a lovely large dining room at the back, with traditional dark wood tables, that co-ordinate brilliantly with the beams and natural stone floor tiles. There is also a smaller more intimate dining room at the front of the pub, together with a nice comfy lounge and bar area. Every where was spotlessly clean, the ladies room had some lovely quality soap and a lovely white soft fluffy towel. We were made to feel welcome from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. Clearly a family run business, the ambiance is relaxed and informal, a friendly and charming place to relax and enjoy a good meal, cold bear and good red wine. We hadn't booked and knew the place was very popular as we live quite local. We had to wait a short time for a table to become available but we were quickly offered drinks and a seat in the lounge to wait while a table became available. Upon being shown into the restaurant, the table was nicely laid out with cutlery and a napkin. Some carvery establishments you have to search for your cutlery, or its on a servery the other side of the restaurant. Not here, you get it provided, presented nicely on the table together with condiments. The Sunday we went there were four meats, YES FOUR, Pork, Gammon, Beef and Turkey. We were asked what we would like, there was no question of only having two slices of meat, if you wanted two of each it was clearly available, portions here are extremely generous. (The landlords waistline clearly shows he dines here) Food was beautifully presented, and the roast potatoes are to die for, crispy on the outside and light and fluffy on the inside. The meat was really tender and very tasty, just melted in the mouth. My husband had the turkey and pork while I had the gammon and beef, we were both very impressed. They do provide a vegetarian option, I think it was date and plum loaf the day we went, but not being a veggie I can't be certain, but it looked lovely. There were eleven different vegetables, parsnips, new potatoes, roast potatoes, french beans, carrots, broccoli, peas, sweetcorn, leeks and cauliflower (separate) in a light cheese sauce and broad beans all beautifully presented and kept in a steam server. (Hot water underneath stainless steel trays of vegetables lightly steaming to keep them hot and moist.) The vegetables were all cooked perfectly, slightly aldente, but not under cooked. All this on a Sunday for £7.95, they do the same on a Wednesday for £6.95. Prices correct as of 12/07/2015.There were puddings available, we spotted one couple having the rhubarb crumble and custard, it looked lovely, again very generous portions. Neither of us had room for pudding after such an enormous lunch. We were offered coffee and asked if we would like to take it at the table, or in the lounge. We chose to have it in the lounge and relax after such a lovely meal, again service was very polite, courteous and prompt. We were left to enjoy our coffee and felt we could have stayed all afternoon and relax in the lounge. A very friendly and welcoming pub with delicious food, a great ambiance, a relaxed environment. This is certainly one not to be missed. Their telephone number is 01-953-455-511. The road opposite the pub is called Edenside. There is a large free public car park as you enter the road on the right.

Went here for a Sunday Roast Dinner. We did not book and showed up on the off chance. initially the building is obviously old, with low ceilings and exposed beams in the ceiling, with gave it a nice charm. We greeted by a friendly member of staff who showed us through to the back where they were serving the roast carvery. The first thing to hit us was a very strong smell of burnt paraffin from paraffin burners under the food containers to keep the food warm. The room itself was laid out like a cafe and had that feel to go with it.We then went to be served at the counter where we had the thinnest slice of meat I have seen carved at any carvery. You had a choice of three different meats, but the slices carved were very thin and you only had two slices. You had the vegetables and roast potatoes etc all being kept warm by those strong smelling paraffin burners to help yourself to. The food was all average. I can not say it was bad but certainly cannot say it was good either, just rather average.I would like to hope the food at other times is good, but do not know as we have not returned since. It would be interesting to experience the older part of the restaurant rather than the cafe style part at the back, which did nothing for the atmosphere and those paraffin burners, wow they have to get rid of those.

Me, my partner and 2 friends came here for a meal last Friday night, the staff were lovely and the restuarant had a very warming feel to it. We did order an enourmous amount of food, however the waiting time wasn't long at all, the food was absolutely delicious, cooked perfectly and the portions were very generous (not complaining at all!!) Complementary tea and coffee to finish was a very thoughtful touch, where we were taken through to the lounge area to relax! When we got the bill we were very shocked as was expecing it to be far more that what it came to! We will definately all be coming back very soon as is a perfect half way meeting point for us all.Thankyou very much - I will be reccommending to friends. See you soon!

In summary, The Bell made our long weekend break. We stumbled in by accident and were greeted by Carole, who made us feel welcome although we were staying elsewhere. Carole was so natural and brought such warmth to the establishment, we came back for lunchtime drinks, then booked for dinner next day. The roast was superb and service was perfect, so we came back for breakfast the next day. Again, superb food. Could not recommend enough for service, quality of food and value.
